So much for the "close the border" crowd.

Considering the average incubation period for influenza is 48 hours but can vary from 1-5 days, it's not surprising that the number of reported cases is accelerating.

Closing the border may not have even helped as these cases would have already been present in the US before the border's closure.

I don't think that was ever a serious idea - people were talking about it in the context of whether it would be possible if there was another outbreak of somewhere in the future.

Yeah, and there are probably many, many more subclinical infections that are staying below the radar. These people are shedding virus, though, so they can still infect others.

Right, we need more of the equivalent of "Typhoid Annies" to assist in the transmission of the disease. The more infected people, the merrier.

I wonder if there is a disproportionate number of Latinos affected with the travel between Mexico and the U.S. disregarding what is ostensibly a border.

The California Governor has declared "A State of Emergency?

The border is supposed to be closed anyway. What is the pretext for keeping it open so that illegal aliens may continue their conduct.
