what if your government told you to only have two kids

I would ask them if they would pay for the vasectomy reversal and cost of raising him or her.

Murderers aren't eligble. Sorry.

Rare Medium Rare Medium or well done???

Murderers aren't eligble.

Thank you, cap'n obvious. I wonder if rapists are, LetUsBray?

I wonder why you ask, Goat-cheese. Hitting all the felonies, are ya?

I wonder why you ask, Goat-cheese.

It was a rhetorical question, LetUsBray after your oh so obvious observation. Fuck, I hate explaining the obvious to the slower witted.

The extra kids who say, were not properly provided for might have to fend for themselves which can involve such hardships as relying on student loans, (if they wanted to go to college) and finding ways to earn a living through the use of government assistance programs and so on. Especially if they cannot do so on their own.

----

There are poor 0 to 2 kid families out there that need government assistance and student loans.

Either we takes steps as a sentient race to ensure a sustainable population on this planet (who's resources are already stretched too thin) or we depend on the Four Horseman to continue to be our backup system.

It's that simple.

And that complicated.

Be Well.

There are poor 0 to 2 kid families out there that need government assistance and student loans.

They require substantially less than a brood.

They require substantially less than a brood

----

That's debatable. Some spoiled only child rich kid may require a lot. There are so many variables.

Some poor families learn to share and make things stretch. Buy used clothes, fewer toys, etc. This reduces production and waste.

It's all relative.

It's all relative.

So to speak

It's all relative.

Hey! Leave your relatives out of this.....

Fuck, I hate explaining the obvious to the slower witted.

Now, you know how it feels.....

"(W)hat if your government told you to only have two kids(?)"

I suppose it would be some kind of proof that our government placed the welfare of our nation and our earth ahead of the righties yelling "soshalism" or "fashism" or states' rights.

But herm --- I thought a woman's body was hers to do with what she wants? I thought you stated that the government should not be involved in reproductive decisions? Why wasn't that your answer?

Thanks for asking, Goat. I am always grateful for honest inquiries.

There is a priority scale. A woman's right to her body matters. she should not have to use it as an incubator. But the right of the earth not to be overpopulated trumps that. The octo-mom and the Arkansas family with 18 kids do indeed constitute crimes against the environment, one step worse than crimes against humanity.

Gracias para la pregunta, cabron. herm

And every generation, the price of every raw material falls. Food, minerals, coal, oil, gas, base metals--name it. With more and more and more people, we get more and more and more efficient and productive.

Seems like those who can least afford kids seem to have the most.

"Fast forward to nine years into the 21st century where noted English environmentalist and writer, Jonathan Porritt has observed that if Westerners (or people who live in the free Western Hemisphere) limited themselves to having just two kids per family, it would do great things for not only the environment but also for the economy, given the state it's currently in."

But who is gonna pay all that money back into Social Security that the baby boomers are owed and the democrats stole?

The thing is despite the Octo-mom and 18 kid crazies. The birthrates in Western Europe are in quite a few places below the replacement rate and part of the reason the US is above the replacement rate is because of immigration. So I don't know why they'd implement population control in the Western world. We've kind of done it ourselves.

In reality it is something that might have to happen. There is a limited amount of resources and space on this planet. But if it happens, a restriction on the number of children, we'll have to realize that we aren't free that our will is subject to the good of the greater population. How much of a change is that from the current climate? Not much. Look at all the anti-smoking regulation.

HERM: "right of the earth not to be overpopulated"

Interesting legal concept that the earth has rights.

Have as many kids as you want, but I say end any and all tax credits for any children after you have two. No welfare or any support for any children after two. You are free to reproduce as much as you want, but we don't have to pay you for it.
