I hope these two are released and I feel sorry for them. However, they apparently did enter N. Korea illegally and got caught. They accepted the risk of arrest when they did that.
Now, how many people are we holding for years now who did less, who have never had any trial or hearing, how may have been tortured, who have no say in their own futures.
Those who so loudly proclaim our "right" to torture and hold prisoners indefinitely need to consider that when we do so we lose credibility when we complain about others doing so.

I hired plenty of illegals when I was in the U.S. Usually, I had no choice. For jobs like carpentry, bricklaying and even yard work, nobody else will do it.

When I lived in Memphis the Home Builder's Association had an open offer to train ANYBODY to be a bricklayer, for free, and guarantee them a job. After four years, nobody enrolled.

Even though the city has a thriving manufacturing industry (orthopedic implants, like hips and knees) the local Vo-Tech closed its machinist program for lack of students. In nine months you could go from unskilled to making $50,000 a year, but nobody enrolled.

So before Danni starts squawking -- there are jobs Americans won't do.

After trying for two weeks, I went down the street and knocked on the door where a bunch of Mexicans are holed up. Five men came over and had the job done in about a half hour.

The appreciated the work, and the lemonade.
