Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

First quarter fund raising reports are out, and so far this year the embattled Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd has raised over $1 million for his 2010 campaign. Of that, just over $4,000 came from Connecticut residents all five of them. Dodd may want to move to Massachusetts where he's raised $90,000 so far. He's pretty popular in Texas too, raising $81,000 down there. Or do some kind of a weird Maryland/New York combo-meal thing as residents have combined in those two states to give him more than $100,000.

There may be a backlash across the nation come 2010. From Neocons to Uberlibs back to ? The political pendulum swings both ways...

"I can't say it any clearer: I will be helping Chris Dodd because he deserves the help," Obama told the Boston Globe

There's that "Change" thing again...I guess it's true that the more things "change" the more they remain the same, eh?

YEAH!

Heres Hoping for Some Political Backlash Come 2010 ------- But Bush cant be evaluated for another 49 years!

Sounds like Ron Paul's campaign funding. Most of his money comes from out of state real estate developers.

So what you are saying is that one person does it then it must be alright?

And what does ron paul have to do with this anyway. "Mommy, ronnnie is doing it too". Grow the fuck up.

Pointing to bad behavior to justify bad behavior is intellectually dishonest.

Dodd is a criminal and one of the architects of out financial crisis.

Damn, adding "istan" or mentioning Palin will look even dumber than normal. I must deflect in some way, but Jon Stewart has not told me how. Every time I try to veer off his script I look like a total retard (even more then when I rob his material).
I'll just go with something lame, like a Ron Paul reference.

Dodd is a liar and a joke.

Here's to his defeat!

NOW, doesn't that tell you something?

Hey Murphy, how do you feel about Randy "FELON" Cunningham?
And, how many times did you vote for him?

Please keep Dodd,

He is soooo much fun to watch. Please, keep him, Frank and Pelosi.

The only people that matter are his constituents and they will have their say soon enough. The rest of you are crowing at the moon...

No, we're quacking up the wrong tree.

Goldman Sachs, AIG and Freddie Mac have yet to be heard from. Believe me, they'll come through. What's a few hundred thousand, in exchange for not being held account for trillions in losses?

Keep buying!

Dodd is obama's kind of politician, crooked as they come. Obama sees in him the same kind of special qualities he saw in Tony Rezko.

Most of Hillary's Senate money came from out of state too. New Yorkers got what they paid for when they elected her.

At least they took him to court, unlike the rest of the bunch.

The funny thing is, in liberal Connecticut even if Dodd does lose, his replacement is not going to be any more rightwing then, say, Lieberman. So once again, the rightwing is cheering at their own endless funeral.

Thank God for Israel!!!

Luckily Dodd can rely on the $Million or so in "pimp" money he gets annually from the State of Israel (who of course get it directly from the US Taxpayers!)

Prove it.

Gosh, do I see a pattern???
Could it be that the former Bush supporters have endeavored to transfer the blame for the present economic crisis on to a person who was a member of the minority when all the decisions that brought about our current crises were made???
Funny part is that they really think America is buying it.
Sorry to tell y'all, the jig is up.
Even the most naive American figured out that the Republicans were out to screw us and that they succeeded in screwing themselves too.

"The funny thing is, in liberal Connecticut even if Dodd does lose, his replacement is not going to be any more rightwing then, say, Lieberman. So once again, the rightwing is cheering at their own endless funeral."

They could elect a Hugo Chavez so long as they get rid of that piece of shit, Chris Dodd. The guy is a corupt scumbag who no longer deserves to hold any public office.

Danni,

I'm not sure where you are getting that idea.
Nearly everyone I speak with here on post concedes that Dodd and Frank are Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Granted, I generally only speak to the higher GT scoring Joes about grown up things.
There are however a few that give me a confused look and reply with "Go Obama" or
some other kinda reference indicating they are among the 1-day-every-4 year political retards.
God know there are enough of those loads floating about to sway elections toward the pop-icon types
or chest-full-of-gold types so, in a way, you might be right.

Momma's drunk.
Poppa's in jail.
Sen. Dodd is on the corner
Yelling "Vote and influence for sale."

......Disprove it!!!

......Disprove it!!!

This isn't a global warming (MMGCC? MMGW? MMCC?) thread, dipshit.

(I'm not up to speed on my "netroots" acronyms d'jour...sorry)

Dodd will be easily reelected. Keep up the feeding frenzy of hatred though. It does wonders for your credibility.

Tea anyone?

No Tea for Me thanks. I have discovered it just makes Me wee more than I should. I'll pass on the tea thanks.

Larry

Warm up the bus....

It is probably unconstitutional but I would love to see a requirement that forced politicians to raise money only from their constituents.

The Dems are just going to pull a Jersey move and put someone else on the ballot like they did with Lautenberg replacing Torricelli in 2002.
Even though it was not legal they always find a judge in the the legal system to listen.

Dodd is a liar and a joke.

Here's to his defeat!

have you seen his polling numbers?
if it were a republican with those numbers you would be announcing his defeat you know..
UNLESS ACORN is on the job and then as im MINN..well you never know what might happen.

That does seem rather reasonable. So that probably won't happen.

Gee Larry, next time you "pass on the tea" try not to do it while you remain clothed. Don't worry. With today's detergents, the launderer will be able to remove the odor.

Don't they have adult diapers for those of you who suffer from diurnal enuresis? Next time "Be Prepared." Too bad you were PC and boycotted the Boy Scouts. You missed valuable tutelage.

It is time for Chris Dodd to go!! And let us fervently hope it is so. His ego like many others who have stayed on too long in Congress is monstrous. When Dodd and Biden ran against Hillary and Obama they could hardly, if not at all, amass 1% of the vote between the two of them. You'd sorta think they would slink off in the dark. It really takes an ego/no shame to keep on trucking screwing us as they have for years while getting rich. Goodbye Dodd.

ACORN....the boogeyman of the right.

"Dodd raised only $4000 from Connecticut".

Does that include the $2 that SANOBAMA sent him?
