Speaking of numbers not adding up howsabout this inerview from 2006 between ABC hack Brian Ross and Misinformation Agent extrodinaire Bill O'Rielly.

O'REILLY: OK, this is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi bin al Shibh, Zubata, all of these guys? All 14 were coerced. And the worst thing that they did to them, according to your report, was water boarding.

ROSS: Right, that is the most harshest of the treatments. And that's where a man is put upside-down. They put a cellophane or a cloth over his mouth. They pour water. It gives the impression that the person is drowning.

Now some people liken it to a mock execution. It is very tough to withstand. When the CIA officers who are trained in these interrogations go through it themselves, some of them couldn't last more than 35 to 40 seconds.

O'REILLY: Now the water boarding broke all of these guys?

ROSS: Not in every case. Some before even got to that point.

O'REILLY: OK, some when they kept them up, or they played live music, or they kept them in a cold room.

ROSS: They start with a slap, then a slap on the chest, and then the cold room, sleep deprivation, which seems to be the most effective. But for some, the water boarding is what it took.

O'REILLY: OK. Now you say the guy who held out the longest was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is the alleged mastermind behind 9/11.

ROSS: That's right.

O'REILLY: How long did he last?

ROSS: About two and a half minutes, according to our CIA sources.

The perception that they were trying to get across that the technique was only used in a limited way on a tiny number of people has been shot out of the water.

The idea that real plots were disrupted by wotever KSM had to say is in serious doubt.

Apologist for torture can start lining up to justify this shit anyime they like. Don't fergit to liken Obama to Hitler in yer rant fer extra Rtard points.

Be Well.

I am really looking forward to when the IRS starts using waterboarding during routine random audits.

I am sure the pants pissers here on DR will have no objections.

I find it strange that the Ltards always come to the defense of our enemies, the same type of assholes that cut Daniel Pearl's head off for no reason.

I also find it funny that you ltards think torture has only happened during the Bush Admin.

" Don't fergit to liken Obama to Hitler in yer rant fer extra Rtard points."

hahahahha

If the Bush Administration really taught that this TORTURE was acceptable than his Attorney General Gonzales should have given a full PARDON to all of the Japanese soldiers that were convicted of WATERBOARDING at the end of the Second World War. Goodness we tried these people for the same thing that the Bush Administration said was not a CRIME......

The World today understands that the United States committed War Crimes under the Bush Administration. Can't run away from it this Country violated the TORTURE clause from the GENEVA CONVENTION.....

What the People of the United States need to know is that the Republicans (99%) of them believe that TORTURE is acceptable under almost any condition. Nothing the President does will please these people, This President needs to lead the hell with the REPUBLICAN PARTY, THEY DESERVE TO GO THE WAY OF THE WHIGS.....

This Country needs a Republican Party, GOLDWATER, REAGAN, EVEN NIXON WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS THIER PARTY....

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times in March 2003 and Abu Zubaydah was waterboarded 83 times in August 2002.

"I hereby declare amnesty for any and all US personnel directly involved in these heinous acts which are a clear violation of Geneva Conventions and US law."

-President of the United States, April 2009.

I guess they must have decided to stop when his toes started to "prune".

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

Coming soon to a bombing near you.
----righteys-----

He shouldn't have been tortured. it's inhumane.
---leftys------

Why was he not killed?
----lipz-----

If he is an enemy of the state as proposed, why doesn't he have an accident while shaving? or at least a government execution? As it is, they have created a martyr, a rebel who withstood the worse and made it out alive. His legendary actions will reverberate especially if he gets back to his people. something fishy is going on. could it be that the new leader of the resistance is being groomed, since OBL is already dead, and none of the other up-and-coming terrorist leaders have much charisma?

you can't fight a war within an enemy.

We can thank our lucky stars that Obama is divulging interrogation tactics to the world. Finally we have a leader - an African-American leader - who demands openness and requires ALL persons to operate above board.

Open and honest - winning the approval of the world. Nothing to hide - no guile - no secrets whatsoever.

Change.
A change for the better.

Be Well.

"Ltards always defen(d) our enemies, (who) cut Daniel Pearl's head off for no reason."

Winning the 2009 prize for most points missed. "They" are our enemies; whatever we do to them is okay, because "they" are evil and cut off heads for no reason... herm

Libs jump at the chance to defend traitors.

wrong dog breath. no one is defending Herr Bush or his band of merry nazis

This Country needs a Republican Party, GOLDWATER, REAGAN, EVEN NIXON....

So...Celunnecessary is a FAN of Republicans? Wow.

I don't jump at the chance to defend traitors. I do, however, jump at the chance to defend the honor of my country.

So why did they stop? KSM is scum and should be waterboarded for each and every person killed on 9/11.

Looks like they have a few more sessions to go.

Are you serious? Pull your head outta his ass.

Obama is good at blaming others, pretending to be transparent (himself absolved) and feeding people lies and promises. As he increases NSA surveillance he is telling you he is against it. He is on his third apology tour and it will not stop there. Better take a good look at the United States because it's days are numbered. Look for something between France and Venezuela as the new U.S. model.

"As he increases NSA surveillance he is telling you he is against it."

As with the FISA exception process, Obama found that the NSA communications surveillance is also a perfectly legal process; both of which are vital to the security of the USA.

Of course, those on the Left, including Democrats, are more than willing to endanger the USA, if it means more votes for the party, and to advance socialism over capitalism!

The Left encourages desire and control of welfare in order to control their populace, bribing them into obedience. The most famous cheer for socialism was made infamous by the Germans, under Adolph Hitler:

SIEG HEIL!

VICTORY WELFARE!

Now, it seems that Democrats are all in perfect agreement - marching to the same drumbeat, and cheering for state welfare, while turning the neo-Juden (Republicans) into fearful (but clownish) characters who might steal a Liberal's baby to use in their evil platform!

HEILIG OBAMA!

~KBM.

Ummm, hate to be the one to hafta tell you this but Skippy is one of you.

He's an Rtard spoofing lefties in order to try and discredit lefty thought.

Spud woulda thought that this was kinda obvious by now but the capacity of the right to misinterpret is apparently a renewable resource par excellance. Kinda like fusion fer fuckwits.

"Don't fergit to liken Obama to Hitler in yer rant fer extra Rtard points."

~Spud.

HEILIG OBAMA!

Case in point.

Actually, more of a "headcase in point" in Mad Tad's case.

Another one of Spud's li'l threads gets the greenlight onto the front page? Must be them Wheaties Spud is eating.

Be Well.

I'd like to see some these assholes here watch their wives and children get waterboarded. That would be a good laugh listenening to them beg for mercy. These rethug bastards deserve to get tortured. I wish I was assigned that job by the US govt.

Coming soon to a bombing near you.

---leftys------

----lipz-----

YOu know you can hold more than one of those positions at the same time without being inconsistent, right lipz? But I'll suggest an answer to your question.... because the tail is wagging the dog?

Rasta approves torture, "I'd like to see some these assholes here watch their wives and children get waterboarded."

Good comment, Swifty ...

Tadowe for republicans yes I approve of it

Hag gets unconscious, "... because the tail is wagging the dog?"

Okay! Now you introduce Bosnia/Serbia!

Wasn't the reason for invading the Balkans to end the "genocide" happening there?

That wasn't an EXCUSE, was it, because that was just one of the reasons to invade Iraq!?!

You didn't mean, Clinton, huh? Otherwise, you've actually provided a chance to legitimately reason on-point with you leftists!

You can't answer, right? I understand, your collective mental handicap, and all ...

Rasta tries braggadocio, "... for republicans yes I approve of it"

Many American servicemen experience water boarding during training. During the Escape and Evasion portion of officer training, waterboarding and other interrogation techniques were demonstrated, to familiarize students with the tactics which might be used against them if captured.

I didn't get water boarded as my "demonstration" was kneeling on a log, forced to balance on it with just the kneecaps. Actually, that "torture" is more potentially damaging than is waterboarding!

I'm sure it is still in the lexicon of interrogation techniques, along with others used by civilian police; e.g., sleep deprivation, solitary confinement, casual beatings, near starvation (bread and water), ad nauseam.

I'll bet all you leftists would enjoy torturing Republicans by using them, like Rasta in his hypocritical hatred ...

... right, you Youth Movement volunteers?

That wasn't an EXCUSE, was it, because that was just one of the reasons to invade Iraq!?!

You got a quote from anyone in BushCo citing preventing genocide as part of the rationale fer the Iraqi invasion or are you just spouting out yer ass as usual?

Even if you did have such a quote the sad fact that more Iraqis have died during the illegal US occupation/invasion than did during SH's entire reign kinda makes that point invalid.

Baby Booshlings CIA luffin daddy encouraged the Shiite Iraqis in the south to stand up to Saddam which many of them did thinking that the US would support their efforts at least tacitly. HW never did, of course, and they were slaughtered with impunity by Saddam.

See also: America's gift of WMD to Saddam along with AWAC derived coordinates that were used in the Halabja bombing that killed an entire village of Kurds.

You do at some level, Spud hopes, realise that yer constant accusations of everyone on the left being overly partisan when juxtaposed with yer unabashed rtard-defending whoredom make you a continual laughingstock. Obviously not on a concious level but somewhere within the dim recesses of yer so-called mind the glimmer of that realisation must be festering.

Be Well.

Having served I was never tortured in basic or air. I was allowed a minimum of 5.5 hours of sleep. Of course I was never an officer. I know the police aren't beating suspects either. All you have to say is I want a lawyer and the interrogation stops

I am really looking forward to when the IRS starts using waterboarding during routine random audits.

I am sure the pants pissers here on DR will have no objections.

Actually axe, I hate to inform you but most of the current batch of tax cheats appear to be Democrats as witnessed by numerous Obama appointees that couldn't hold office because they didn't pay their taxes.

I paid my taxes BEFORE the 15th. Guess that makes me more patriotic than 30% of the Obama administration.

Hey Tater,

Speaking of water, what's the best inside passage cruise out of Van city or Victoria and what's the best time for orcas? I got a hankerin' to see the Tantalus Range again.

Hey Tater,

Howdy Zat!

Speaking of water, what's the best inside passage cruise out of Van city or Victoria?

Best inside passage cruise? There's a lot of 'em that'll take yer money but Spud has heard really good things in particular about these guys...

www.classicyachtcharters.bc.ca

3 to 10 days custom cruises. One or two couples maximum aboard. Decent meals. Take photos of Orcas, dolphins, bears and eagles galore.

Take a kayak or other craft out from the ship and go explore the Great Bear Rainforest.

Neato stuff!

what's the best time for orcas?

Best time of year to watch Orcas?

Best time hereabouts is from Late May to early June.

Best weather then too.

I got a hankerin' to see the Tantalus Range again.

TR is still as beautiful as all get out.

Come on down... or up ...or however that werks out.

Stop by fer some Hot and Sour Soup.

One of the upsides to living in a city over-run with Chinese immigrants is the plentifulness and quality of the Chinese Food available.

Thanks for the steer.

Had some in Kamloops once knocked my socks off.

Works better than Dristan fer congested sinuses too!

Thanks for the steer

No Prob, Spud reckoned you might like a cruise that has it's own official on-board cat.

Be Well.

Lets see we waterboarded Khaleid Sheik Mohammed after he planned and help execute the killing of thousands of american lives. I would say he got off lightly.

Of course I am sure spud and the like we tell us how horrible one of theirs got water sprinkled on his face.

boo hoo poor spudkins.

one of theirs

One of ours?

O Rly?

Actually, between their overly religulous wingnuttery and their tendencies towards unjustifiable violence Spud would say that the AQ and the Taliban (both initially funded by Reagan back in the days of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan) have waaaaay more in common with yer side of the aisle than Spud's.

But keep thinking yer illogical, deluded whackjob thoughts and posting them here so that Spud can eviserate them with less effort than it takes to tear through wet tissue paper.

Cos that's fun fer Spud!

^_^

Be Well.

hahaha couldn't bring yourself to type bush,LOL

At least those assholes are alive. Alot of my brother's in arms that were captured by our enemies are not. Wonder why they arent? Liberals tell us not to act like our enemies, but then defend our enemies when they behead our peoples. Lets even the playing field. They behead us, we will behead them..period..

But you liberals will scream and cry.....

Boaz from Afghanistan

183 times?

His face must be very clean!

The list of accomplishments by the CIA is short at best. But their cost is enormous, both in dollars and to our reputation. Still, if Bush had actually listened to their experts he wouldn't have invaded Iraq or tortured anybody. Everything else is Republican talking points vainly attempting to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Ron Paul excepted, of course.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times in March 2003 and Abu Zubaydah was waterboarded 83 times in August 2002.

But tortu...excuse me...the creation of these controlled acute episodes did, in fact, yield positive results. For example, KSM eventually admitted his attempt to blame the 9/11 attacks on Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus was ridiculous. We are therefore pusuing the individual whose name KSM finally gave up: John Wilkes Booth. All tobacco barns in Maryland will be searched and we will not rest until we get him, dead or alive.

Zubaydah, fortunately, is made of less sturdy stuff. That's why it took less than a hundred controlled acute episodes to convince him that insiting on locating Osama Bin Laden in the washing up room of a camel corral in Waziristan was a patently ridiculous, albeit classic, attempt to convince us to misdirect our assets. Therefore, at the moment the following locales are under close surveillance: 77 Sunset Strip, 1313 Mockinbird Lane, 633 Stag Trail Road, 301 Cobblestone Road, and 221-B Baker Street.

OK, I'll bite. Is torture something that can't be done many times over? What is your definition of torture? Would getting your teeth drilled without pain meds torture? That could happen hundreds of times (depending on the subject, lol so not if you are a hill billy).

And if a link is from a blog site, does that mean it didn't happen? It's so much easier for you to ignore facts you don't like that way isn't it? don't want reality getting in the way of your world view, would you?

Wow, now that's some sinister shit. So keep up the good work!

Most people don't masturbate 183 times in a month... and that's enjoyable. But no, this isn't torture.
