Several Republican members of Congress spoke at Tea Party protests around the country on Wednesday. Some were applauded. Others heckled. But only one, it appears, was booed relentlessly for the entire duration of his speech: Rep. Gresham Barrett of South Carolina.

or republican

these rushpublicans want everyone to have the same views as them

stray from their choosen path a little and you are booed and excommunicated

even republicans hate republicans....

FF BadgerWest.

I hope we can get more constitution or libertarian people in office. Republicans are just as bad as Democrats, although dems like Pelosi or Frank make me sick.

No, unlike Democrats, Republicans can disagree with other Republicans.

You mean RINOs, who are traitors to the conservative cause and should be run out of town on a rail?

At least Dems treated Joe Lieberman, James Traficant and Zell Miller with respect after they strayed over the ideological border line.

Traficant? You're a moron.

I heard there was a whopping one arrest out of the hundreds of Tea Party protests across the U.S. by the "right wing extremists".

A political 3 stooges if there ever was. Hard to say which is the most ridiculous character.

Pure theater, There is no real difference between the Republicans and Democrats. Both utterly corrupt.

Exactly!
You get it.
When someone wears the home team jersey,
and sits on the home team side,
then roots for the visiting team,
the home team fans will mock and ridicule him.

No news here.

Yeah, so you call booing Garret for 5 minutes straight "disagreeing"? Get a life. But I guess these days for the rightwing automatons, that is just your way of disagreeing. Dare to disagree with Bill O. or Hannity, and they hit you with personal insults. Guess that's just "normal" disagreeing when you've been "conditioned" by FixedNews. And GOP pols who disagree with Rush? Well, that's a little different kind of "disagrreing", isn't it? First, they get personally insulted by Rush, and then after being insulted, they publically apologize to him. LOL!!!

Liberals want to work towards a balanced budget too. But we want to see it done correctly - with military spending cuts and tax increases on the wealthy.

And we know now is not the time to balance the budget - the economy is in the tank, which means we have to run deficits right now, and this isn't the time for spending cuts. Now is the time to make small military spending cuts, and significant social program increases, and small tax increases.

Once the economy recovers, we need to set the top tax bracket back to 90%, cut the military to less than a third of its current budget, and implement a real national health system.

What the Repubs of the world h-a-t-e most is the crazy possibility that someone somewhere may ask them to consider what's best for their nation and their world rather than their bank accounts. herm

Yeah right Herm. And I suppose you are living the ascetic life yourself. I didn't know ascetics could afford a PC and Internet. Hey - are those your ribs showing through your emaciated abdominal area?

I heard there was a whopping one arrest out of the hundreds of Tea Party protests across the U.S. by the "right wing extremists".

given the paucity of attendees across the nation, one arrest seems high. Besides, most were too old to do anything but public littering if they dropped their Depends. Breaking the poop and scoop law is a bad thing...

Getting booed by the tea protesters? That's an image-booster. Barrett's a smart man in this instance. Now I know who he is!

as usual...brilliant commentary and right on subject

well, maybe not

this is one proof that the liberal lapdogs on tv and print are full of shit and cant get thier mouths off of the black ass in the oval office.,
there were also more than one sign seen at the protests about republicans being as bad.
but of course...that is all ignored by the present day media........

This morning on Meet the Press Dick Armey had his say at the very beginning of the show. He spouted the usual nonsense about the Tea Parties being a movement and all. Later in the show though, Harold Ford, sitting right next to him, ate him for lunch. He perfectly stated the Obama case for spending and challenged the Teabaggers to come up with real ideas or solutions to the economic crisis. They, of course, offer none just lots of anger about spending. In this country sometimes we have to save the economy for all of us even though there is an ignorant minority who will scream and cry as you do.

danni

dont forget that I watch that too and this lunch you are talking about was the usual bullshit from the left.
EVERYONE knows that the argument that the poll about taxes and how 48% say they are about right ignores the part where 44% said they werent and AGAIN

as army also said later..

THIS WASNT JUST ABOUT TAXES

and another comment at the end I noticed the dem guy shaking his head agreeing with army.

so while your post also included the profane comment you HEARD ON MSNBC, you are right but only halfway right...........

and you can call us ignorant minority FOR NOW, but I wouldnt bet on that not changing soon.

but I wouldnt bet on that not changing soon.

oops...I left myself open on this comment, didnt I

of course most libs here dont have enough snap to come up with anything creative, so I shouldnt worry too much.

EVERYONE knows that the argument that the poll about taxes and how 48% say they are about right ignores the part where 44% said they werent and AGAIN

So everyone also knows that that is the highest approval rating since 1956, too?

Yeah, so you call booing Garret for 5 minutes straight "disagreeing"? Get a life. But I guess these days for the rightwing automatons, that is just your way of disagreeing. Dare to disagree with Bill O. or Hannity, and they hit you with personal insults. Guess that's just "normal" disagreeing when you've been "conditioned" by FixedNews. Could have been worse.

they could have stormed the stage and strung a banner of up in front of him

No, unlike Democrats, Republicans can disagree with other Republicans."

Just as long as its approved by Daddy Rush.

The tide of history and society is moving against the right in general and teabgaggers in particular.

So Afk, "black ass" is creative? Jesus, man, who do you think you are, Johnson? : )

And badgerwest's "Even republicans hate republicans" made me think "Friends don't let friends drive Republican." But hell, insert democrat for republican and it's still funny.

Btw, here in NH, we have this thing called "undeclared." That's me. I declare when I want to vote in a primary (yes, democrat, so far, but I thought last time of registering republican just to fuck around--pointless, unless thousands do it--yes, in NH, thousands can make a difference), then I go back to undeclared. Generally, I think the parties both suck. No, I don't (DON'T) think they're the same; I just think they both suck. They're only the same in that they're too influenced by lobbyists and filled with career politicians. The system is fucked up, even for people (especially for people?) who go in wanting to make some sort of change.

It's sort of like the education system. : )

Even the cops knew the events would be so insignificant that they never bothered to show up......until one you shit-heaps decided to throw something over the WH fence. That got your ball-dipping, Sore-Loser meeting canned pretty quick.

For shame, Lefties. Think of all the real teabaggers you have offended by misusing this term. Are you looking down your nose at or ridiculing someone's preference or orientation?

Why aren't any real teabaggers speaking out? Strange.

MRFAIR

I assume you're referring to the second meaning to teabagging in the Urban Dictionary.

When you ask (in jest I hope) "Why aren't real teabaggers speaking out," are you sure you want to inflict that kind of visual on the ol' DR?

We thought you were our friend.

Sorry Twin - it's just that I thought the DR was a liberal (in the true sense of the word) place and that we could count on it to be fair.

But you're right: I would rather not do the visual, thanks!

"Tea protesters Boo Reub"

Where was this? At the SF Queens parade?

Is he black?

Hilarious that you think that is a right wing only problem. As if left wing protesters don't make all kinds of noise and try to shut up speakers (see Tancredo). What a dumbfuck.
