The answer is... "India will turn on you".
Pakistan will turn on us too - it's already happened, just not overtly and in a bad way. The cooperation between our governments is one born out of immediate convenience - the same theme as the 1980's, but different players.
But let me assure you... whatever headache you can give to Pakistan or to China... we can better that by a factor of ten.
Your government had better be sure of that if they want to deliberatly piss of the US, and ours should be equally confident if it wants to piss of the Pakistani government. The road of tit-for-tat bullshittery between nations doesn't ever seem to accomplish much, though. You'd think leaders would learn.
Still, the US is giving India tidbits through Isreal.
America doesn't stand to gain in the long term by fueling conflict in Asia - esp. involving India, Pakistan, and China. I don't see why we continue to supply both sides of international conflict with arms and support - even if it is an attempt to maintain parity between India and Pak, it's a risky, stupid business that's burned us before.
Long live America. Or "America forever".
Looks like I've expanded my vocabulary significantly.
