You're right of course, but it leaves a question unanswered. Where are we sinkng to? Everybody's gotta be somewhere, so where will we be when we get there?

Something has been bugging me lately related to this ideal of realitivity. You are only somnewhere when you view it in relation to somewhere else.

We, as a country and as a political ideal, started from an almost perfect platform with our state philosophies and documents. Those douments and ideals have been slowly perverted and twisted as it became more apparent that 'all men' means 'all men' or it doesn't mean anything at all. Sadly, these days, some people choose for it to mean nothing rather than run afowl of their religion or their preconcieved prejudices.

Economically, we will not collapse. What i mean is that we are still a huge consumer market and someone will find a way to supply us with our goodies, and make a profit off of it. And that is as it should be.

Morally, I don't know what the fuck is gonna happen to us.

The more that i look at this banking crisis, it becomes more and more obvious to me that you knee-jerk guys are right for once. The only way this could have happened is either; 1)all these financial guys suddenly lost whatever sense they ever had, or 2) there was collusion, conspiracy and corruption between them and the gov.

I don't buy the first one. The only way these banker people would have suddenly forgot the basics of investment banking is that they knew they would be bailed out when their over-leveraging broke down. that is a complete moral collapse in usury-ville.

And the government uses it as an opportunity to tighten it's control and command. that's a moral collapse in our government.
