I can tell you from having been on active duty during Bush, Clinton and Bush. The majority of the military liked both Bushes a lot more than Clinton.

Personally, I didnt trust any of them.

Neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton were pro-military in any sense of the word.

In fact they were just the opposite.

ah, probably someone, but i didn't hear it. point taken. my only point was that when you're in the military and your commander-in-chief shows up, or even Maxine Waters shows up, they are shown respect and you'll see lots of photos taken and "hooah"s. people normally smile in photos, normal people at least.

sickoflibs, i served during papa Bush then Clinton; a world of a difference within a couple years. yea, i liked serving under papa better. but, then i would have smiled in pictures with Clinton and "hooah"ed when he said something worth a chit. then i would have bitched the next time i saw footage of Bosnian Serbs shelling Sarejevo and i'm sitting on my ass at Ft. Sill(y), OK.

...cleaning weapons that haven't been fired in months (again) because there's not as much money in our budget to go to the field as the prior year. kinda takes the edge off the sword when you don't train.

Wow, I used to drop of troubled young Airmen at Ft Sill when they were awaiting Courts Martial.
