Perception of Republicans at All-Time Low

Even Washington's pundit class is finding it has no choice but to acknowledge that, despite everything, President Obama is as popular as ever. Consider the latest data.

CBS News reports: "As President Obama concludes his well-publicized trip to Europe, Americans are more positive about the respect accorded to a U.S. president than they have been in years, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll.

"Republicans have pulled within one point of Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 40% would vote for their district's Democratic candidate while 39% would choose the Republican. Support for Democratic congressional candidates fell two points this week, while support for GOP candidates gained one point to tie its highest level this year so far."

......I assumed that after the Repubs got their clocks cleaned last election......

......the remnants of the party would put their thinking caps on and get down to some serious bipartisan work on behalf of America.........
