Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Stephen Colbert ripped apart Fox News host (and New York Times cover boy) Glenn Beck Tuesday night, mocking his 9-12 project, meant to conjure the spirit of compassion and camaraderie Americans felt on September 12, 2001. Colbert then played an audio clip of Becks radio program from 2005 in which Beck made this statement, "This is horrible to say, and I wonder if I'm alone in this," Beck said on his radio program that day, "you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9/11 victims' families? I don't hate all of them. I hate probably about 10 of them. But when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, 'Oh, shut up!' I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining. And we did our best for them."

Pretty brutal, but Beck had it coming after his "crying" episode.

EXACTLY!

And yet you still wonder why we point and laugh?

Glen Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Rushbo.... is there a Clown College somewhere missing it's Professors?

ROTFLMAO! Nice work Colbert!

How about those tea-bagging parties?

Do people really watch Glenn Beck or is it just something to put on as you wait for the second xanax bar to kick in?

Colbert rocks!

This 10/31ster will be disguised as Chewbacca and will eat large amounts of candy he steals from little children.

HC,

In the break room here there is a tv that is ALWAYS tuned to Fox News. I avoid the break room every day during the Glenn Beck hours.

Who are you kidding? You're going to be the Chewbacca pushing the stroller with a little one in yoda ears and jedi robe. Maybe you'll be stealing his candy, since he'd choke to death if you tried to feed it to him, so I guess you're telling the truth.

More than one reason to be leaving the job I guess.

No stroller, just the Baby Bjorn.

I bjorned for way too long... you'll like it. I definitely miss it, was nice to have the little one right there so you didn't have to bend down every time you wanted to say something.

Glen Beck has so much going for him.

He's wacked out of his mind, is a member of a well know cult and a 'recovering' alcoholic.

That's a trifecta no?

LDS

LDS on LSD who get their porn on DSL

Do people really watch Glenn Beck or is it just something to put on as you wait for the second xanax bar to kick in?

You wouldn't need the second bar if you weren't watching Beck's show in the first place.

LDS

Glenn Beck is a mormon? The next time they ask me if I want to know about Jesus, I'll tell them Glenn Beck beat me to it..

I didn't know he was a mormon...that explains a lot - the dude needs to take up alcohol.

Glenn Beck is a mormon?

Apparently raised a Roman Catholic, he converted to the LDS Church as part of his attempt to deal with his alcoholism.

Ever think of changing the channel TM?

I change it no matter where I am if I see it on FoxNews. The gym, bar, airport........"Could you please change the channel. I don't need the propagnada."

Take action. Change the fucking channel.

MP,
Breuer used to sell this remote on his radio show that would turn off TVs, any TV anywhere. Do you have one of those?

Ever think of changing the channel TM?

I may do that now that I am on my way out, but touching the tv is a big no-no unless you have express authority from the office managing partner. What's weird is the tv in the lobby is always on CNN, which is the only tv our clients will see, and when I travel to our Houston and Dallas offices, CNBC is always on.

There is a watch that does that too. It is hilarious watching people trying to figure out who is changing the channel.

I remember doing it to the tv in the chow hall. The cooks were pissed, and so were the people watching the tv. Stupid fuckers!

Another hypocritical rightwing media personality taken to task. Ho hum. Why is this even news?

Beck is a reformed alcoholic and cokehead. He still exhibits the same obsessive/compulsive behavior, it's just that now he's not only obnoxious but sober too.

Speaking from experience?

because it was hilarious! And everyone should watch it. This nutcase (Beck) is out there making money screwing with folks heads and he was taken to task by Colbert for his lunacy...and his abuse of 9/11 victims.

Good job Stephen!

Any notice a PROFOUND change in Glenn Beck since he moved to Fox?

Granted, he was always the token right-winger on Headline News, but at least he usually demonstrated a modicum of clarity, regardless of whether or not I agreed with what he was saying.

Over the top, sure, a little too earnest at times, sure. But he was able to hold a decent conversation with others, find common ground with those he disagreed with, and generally come across as something other than a nutcase.

Ah, those were the days.....

Glenn, if you want to try acting, you're going to need a lot of work.

Come to think of it, you're going to need a lot of work anyway.

Besides, I don't believe the "base" he's trying to appeal to finds any appeal at all in a grown man getting all tearful. Unless, of course, he's apologized to God for having sinnnnnnnnned.

Glenn Beck's Wackiest Moments.

Check out #s 2, 3, and 7 - IMHO the best clips.

Shepard Smith's commentary on "Glenn Beck Friday" is hilarious, too...

Goleee 101, you sure were smart to fool those stupid fuckers like that! Shazaam! You sure made them dance like yer little stupid fucker puppets. You sure are smart and witty. I bet them stoopid fuckers all thought you were really neat huh.

Wow!

Douchbag racist dirtball.
