Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, March 09, 2009

During an appearance on the Glenn Beck radio show, Chuck Norris said that if things get any worse from his point of view he may "run for president of Texas." The actor claims that Texas was never formally a part of the United States in the first place and that if rebellion is to come through secession Texas would lead the way. Norris claims that; "Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation," he said.

............Treason...........

Wow, and the similarities between the religious fanatics in the ME and the Religious Fanatics here in the States continue!

First we had the "Base", now we have "Cells"!

He speaks like Obama wasn't elected but rather sized "America" in a coupe ---- this is going too far.

Sized - Seized

'sized "America" in a coupe'

Damn! And to think they could have used a sedan.
Guess they had to size it down to fit in a coupe.

You go Chuck! Texas secession. Now that's change you can believe in!

Where is Jack Bauer when you need him most!

Post #4 FF - LMAO over here! haha

Now go easy on Redneckville. He implied the other day that he was somehow threatened and forced to "Stay The Course" by a bumper sticker on some Dittohead's car during the GWB era. Fragile.

Chuck Norris is a Terrorist --- by Bush's Own definition

AT what point does this type of talk become treasonous??? Encouraging the military to disobey the CinC??? Are these the same assholes who called us traitors for criticizing Bush??? Where are the reasoned voices from the right to condemn this type of dangerous talk???

from the article --

...During an appearance on the Glen Beck radio show he promised that if things get any worse from his point of view he may "run for president of Texas."

Hahaha -- what a wacko.

And then what? Appoint Chuck Norris as the Texas Secretary of Defense?

Guess I better cross Texas off my list of four possible states to relocate.

I like living right here in the USA, thank you.

opps, didn't release the bold print

First they OCD'd about Limbaugh and now this...

AT what point does this type of talk become treasonous??? Encouraging the military to disobey the CinC??? Are these the same assholes who called us traitors for criticizing Bush??? Where are the reasoned voices from the right to condemn this type of dangerous talk???

Why should he be condemned. He has said nothing wrong. Colonel braddock is an American hero

Colonel James T. Braddock will hopefully will lead Texas to victory over Mexico

Here's an interesting article discussing Texas and it's right to sucede from the U.S.

I suppose if martial law were ever delcared here in the U.S. and our government got too radical and took a real turn for the worse, I'd join with the Texans.

Texas Magazine - "Can Texas Sucede?"

But what's with all this jumping the gun from the far right wanting to start their own government? At least give the new president a chance and stop the treasonous talk which I'm now starting to hear from far right local talk show hosts even here in Los Angeles. I can imagine what's being said over the airwaves in the deep South.

You wouldn't believe some of the crap. Couple of days ago some far right wing local talk radio host I'd never heard before was going on and on how Obama is "pure evil" and his plan is to "destroy this country" [his exact words] -- nothing but pure hatred coming out of his mouth. The Republican party higher-ups better start clamping down on this garbage. When and if they have a good reason for it, then okay, but to stir up pure venom and hate is uncalled for when so far nothing has happened with Obama in office to justify it.

The country is too large and gov't has become too ineffective. Tax revenue is wasted, elected leaders do not care about anyone but themselves. America needs to seriously think about calling it a day and letting states go their separate ways. Patrick Henry was right.

Mexican gangs are taking over Atlanta and Houston; 1 in 10 people in NJ work for the gov't; The gov't can't control its borders

Colonel James T. Braddock LMAO -

Poor Chuck can't get off the stage. Maybe he really thinks he's a Texas Ranger. Wait until the real guys show up and kick his ass.

Insurrection will not be tolerated by the military.

The Whiskey Rebellion and the Bonus Army were both peaceful protests, and when the army showed up they were disbanded.

Dream on. The only way the American people will fight the army is if a real coup d'etat occurred.

When Norris is talking about 1000's of cells, he's gotta mean some that are in the military.

Why was Gov. Huckabee palling around with a terrorist???

Rebellion will soon be over when the white trash fat fuck revolutionaries realize they will have to leave their pickups, suvs and Big Gulps behind to mount a proper insurgency.

Of course they can always hire illegal Mexicans to fight for them.

OzarkAggie

Since you're not always on DR it's kind of "catch ya when I can." Just wanted to mention I was looking last night through the Missouri travel guide I got the other week from AAA. It said there are 54,000 acres of water in Missouri and the length of the coastline encircling the "Lake of the Ozarks" is as long as the entire California coastline! Interesting reading all about Missouri's history too. Had ever really read much about your state before. I can see why you enjoy camping and hiking there so much -- especially with so many rivers and lakes.

Why was Gov. Huckabee palling around with a terrorist???

Chuck Norris is Robert E. Lee to Huckabee's Jefferson Davis?

Never. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." -- JFK

During the years when the Iraq War was going very badly, many liberals here advocated soldiers do that very thing. Ignore the orders of the Commander in Chief.

I know it's difficult work for you to maintain your double standards, Danni, but keep up the good fight. You'll win through in the end.

When Norris is talking about 1000's of cells, he's gotta mean some that are in the military.

That's a pretty good point...

www.youtube.com

They can keep the violent revolution, though.

I think I was the most on the fringe of theleft with my thinking in this respect, and the worst I ever argued for was for soldiers to refuse deployment and to do their time in the brig as an act of protest. I NEVER advocated their taking up arms against american civilians or the government.

Big difference, Axiom.

When Norris is talking about 1000's of cells, he's gotta mean some that are in the military.

"That's a pretty good point..."

The patriot act has to at least allow for an investigation of what Norris means by his statement, which I'd almost advocate if he is indeed implying a call for violent revolution.

Sounds like he's aware of more than he's admitting.

Missed the second line in her post, did ya?

Encouraging the military to disobey the CinC???

"During the years when the Iraq War was going very badly, many liberals here advocated soldiers do that very thing. Ignore the orders of the Commander in Chief."

actually dumbshit officers are supposed to reject what they consider to be immoral orders. It's why they swear their oath to the constitution. It's also a standard question asked by a congressional nomination board for one of the academies.

Probably, also, a poor job of highlight the part of her post I was retorting to.

She had to be being sarcastic, Axiom, pointing out the irony of somebody who six months ago would have railed against a person on the left suggesting the very same thing. I hope she was being sarcastic, but...
He's not an infallible god, Axiom. The UCMJ demands that a soldier/marine refuse unlawful orders.

actually dumbshit officers are supposed to reject what they consider to be immoral orders. It's why they swear their oath to the constitution. It's also a standard question asked by a congressional nomination board for one of the academies.

I think the word you're looking for is "Illegal".

Regardless of semantics, we still have danni saying encouraging soldiers to disobey orders is treasonous while giving her fellow democrats a pass when the advocated the same action in the past.

"He's not an infallible god, Axiom."

That applies to any president, or commanding officer for that matter.

"Ignore orders of Commander in Chief..."

I never saw a liberal do this. I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe there is a wacko you could find that did though, like Wacko Norris here.

If that happens, post a link. Meanwhile, to the extent there are right-wing groups preparing insurrection, they aren't Americans, are they?

See above. The irony isn't really missed, but I've seen danni's posts on this subject. This is pretty much the same response any other person calling for revolution would get.

Because I got it myself, a few months ago. And I don't think I've ever called someone a traitor for advocating soldiers disobey illegal orders.

She wasn't being sarcastic. Have you ever read any of her posts on this subject before?

"During the years the Iraq War was going badly..."

It's still going badly. Actually, more precise to state GONE badly. Take what you got and call it victory, then bring the boys home.

In my mind I see Chuck in his Texas Ranger costume in the middle of a circular firing squad shouting "Fire."

"Don't change my words to suit your argument...."

Actually, I usually just do this from memory. Now, if you don't want me to do THAT, I'll surely try. A bit irritated by your cynicism.

"way.Norris claims that; "Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation."

This cretin isn't just talking about Texas!
"Thousands of Cells"!

And if the americans said shit like this during the bush admin, where the claim to have an army of sleeper cells lurking, then it should be no problem to produce a quote!

Yeah, I was trying to give her an out. If she wasn't being sarcastic, its just another example of her... I can't even bring myself to mention it anymore, it just seems so worthless.

I stopped giving her an out a few months after I joined. She, like a few here on this site, is not interested in discussion. Those people don't get a pass, ever. I'm not interested in having a discussion with them because they've never been anything but vile, snide and condescending to me.

She's interested in her own side being so dominant that there's no chance of another party having a say. That would be all well and good if that one, dominant party was interested in the common good of everyone, but they're not.

The republicans have their base, the democrats have their base and the rest of us are all just along for the ride. The independents of the US of A haven't had representation since...well...a long time.

Actually, I usually just do this from memory. Now, if you don't want me to do THAT, I'll surely try. A bit irritated by your cynicism.

You think you're irritated? Sheesh. You should try being Redneckville.

that guy lives in the reddest part of one of the reddest states in the union. that's irritation.

The call by some right wing leaders for rebellion and for the military to refuse the commander in chief's orders is joined by Chuck Norris who claims that thousands of right wing cell groups have organized and are ready for a second American Revolution.

Chuck Norris is going to lead a secessionist rebellion? He's been watching too many movies. Who does he think he is? Chuck Norris?

Sooner or later, he'll find out you can't judo-chop a tank.

Norris claims that; "Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation." The right wing cells will meet during a live telecast, "We Surround Them," on Friday March 13 at 5 p.m.

God Damn, this funny. How they gonna know if they have a quorum?

Not to mention a pathetic actor.

"Thousands of Cells"!
now how can thousands of idiots with cell phones form a revolution. Besides being delusional, Norris is the resident bible thumper at WND. He thinks jesus loves ass kickers, yet he can't even kick his own ass!

I'll vote for Chuck Norris as president of the Lone Star State. When we leave the Union nobody should make a big deal about it like they did last time. You Yanks and libs can have the rest of the country.

Fort Worth Thom

These loony rantings from Norris give us a chance to find out if his pal Mike Huckabee is capable of embarrassment.

Nothing loony about Colonel Braddock. He is an American hero who is a decendant of Patrick Henry from the commonwealth of Virginia

bingo and it's not only Texas. Your best staying by the east or west coast.

Well, I'm from Massachusetts and this 'carpetbagger' has bought up several apartment complexes in Dallas. I want to thank you Texans for paying me a pile of cash to live in my properties.

The best part, I've only had to spend 7 total days (out of a total of 36 years) in Texas to do it.

We Texans thank you.

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that you would be a property owner who doesn't look after his property, commonsense. I guess it's part of that 'caring' liberal thing.

I own a rental house and I check on it and the tenant about once a month. you? 7 days in 36 years. Your concern for your tenants shows.

So all the talk you hear about friendly Texas hospitality is just a rumor?

So much for extending strangers a big warm Texas howdy. LOL

Say, are most Texans like you? If so, I really might have second thoughts....

Chris

Missouri has lots of rivers and lakes. The streams south of the Missouri River run pretty clear. You would find the same thing in Arkansas and land is cheaper.

Eastern Oklahoma pretty much the same.

Texas is too damn flat.

I'm stuck. Can't leave or be too far away, even for a short time. Missourah is just home.

Criticizing a President, whose Vice-President committed Treason by aiding and abetting the enemy in a time of Global War by deliberately releasing the name of an agent in potentially hostile territory (Valerie Plame), whose SecDef Rumsfeld attempted to cover up multiple Human Rights crimes, who tried to exploit fear to expand presidential power - criticizing such a man is not treason.

Threatening to secede because of a President that has no criminal, constitutional, or human rights violations on his record - that IS treason.

Btw, I am the 4x great nephew of Samuel Houston. I would rather die than see the hard work of an honored ancestor (getting Texas annexed by the US, who didn't initially want it as a state) go to waste.

Why would you want to leave Missouri anyway? It looks like a beautiful state. Plus you have people there. Another good reason for one not to want to leave. It was the only reason I stayed here as long as I did, but no reason to stay now. I hadn't considered Arkansas or Oklahoma. Not real interested in living in either of those states.

Texas is too damn flat.

???

The panhandle and north central Texas are. You've never been to West Texas or the Hill Country I take it. They are beautiful and anything but flat.

CC,

I'll second Missouri as a great choice. All four seasons, gorgeous springs and falls, and diverse arts. I've lived on both edges (St. Louis & Kansas City), and I much preferred KC. Warm folks, great entertainment, and the most roads per capita, so virtually no traffic jams.

(I knew that last part would be appealing to a denizen of California.)

Btw, I am the 4x great nephew of Samuel Houston.

That's too cool. The first president of Texas. Have you seen your g'g'g'great uncle's huge statue on I-45 near Huntsville?

Yep. Boy, these idiots sure miss the worst frakking president in frakking history. Criminy.

I'll second Missouri as a great choice.

The wife, son, and I live in KCMO for 18 months. (talk about flat!) It is a good place to raise a family -- very wholesome and all that -- but very boring. There simply wasn't anything to do within a couple of hundred miles. Restaurants weren't very diverse, but the ones they did have were very good -- mostly steak and BBQ, of course. The worst part are the winters. I cannot stand snow. That was the first time (and last!) I owned and had to use a snow shovel. Snow sucks.

PS about KC. Danforth is right about lack of traffic jams. I used to get a kick about people complaining when the loop (I think it is I435) would slow down to 45 or 50 mph. I used to work in Overland Park Kansas near 435 and Metcalf and lived near 63rd and Oak on the Missouri side. I could get to work in 12-15 minutes. That distance in Dallas would take me an hour.

"There simply wasn't anything to do within a couple of hundred miles."

You must not like theatre or music. KC had the most diverse music scene of any place I've lived. And the theatre scene was on par with Seattle and Chicago.

"Restaurants weren't very diverse"

Last time I was there, the landscape had dramatically changed. It's not all about barbeque anymore. Amazing restaurants now...Bluestem, Justus Drugstore, Grand Street Cafe, American Restaurant, Yia Yias, to name a few. And at prices that'll make Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles seem steep.

You must not like theatre or music.

I do. But I like a lot more than that. I llve to swim, hike, bike. I like museums. I like taking pictures and the opportunities there were limited.

I can't tell by the names of the restaurants, but when I say 'diverse', I mean 'diverse'. I like Ethiopian, caribbean (actually there was a caribbean restaurant when I lived there at Metcalf and 95th or so, but it didn't last) thai, Indian, German, etc.

There was a great greek place, I have to admit. It was at Troost (or what was the other road near there, started with W. Wornall?) and 435. They did the oopah thing and threw dishes on he floor and all. The food was great and authentic.

Couldn't find Mexican food worth a shit and we went all over the city looking for it.

Oh, yeah -- a GREAT fried chicken place on Troost (I think -- I lived there in -86-'87) that served family style. Can't remember the name. It was truly good home cooked food.

I said I like to take pictures, danforth. I was taking some of one of those beautiful homes on Ward Parkway with the slate roofs (I was on the street) and the owner came out and chased me off. He was quite rude about it.

Goat,

I get there from time to time, and love it each time. There are now several "Restaurant Rows", with all the diversity you'd want. My favorite is 39th St...Vietnamese, America, Ethiopian, Cajun, a great Deli, Vegetarian, Italian, a Malt Shop, a Custard/Ice place, a super neighborhood dive, Indian...and that's just half.

"There was a great greek place"

Tasso's. Still there. On Wornall.

"Couldn't find Mexican food worth a shit and we went all over the city looking for it."

You should've headed down to the Boulevard. Ponaks is the best, and probably not a legal to be found in the kitchen, so you KNOW it's authentic. But that whole area now is teeming with one good Mexican eatery after another.

"Oh, yeah -- a GREAT fried chicken place on Troost "

Strouds. Still the best...but they had to close the Troost place for road work. Now they're right across state line in Kansas. And packed all the time.

"I was taking some of one of those beautiful homes on Ward Parkway with the slate roofs (I was on the street) and the owner came out and chased me off."

Snooty bastards.

My first summer there was 1976. A bunch of us were riding in a car on Ward Parkway, and one of the guys pointed to an ivy-covered stone mansion and said "that's my house".

"Oh, no" the elegant gal with us said. "You can't have it. That's my house".

"I saw it first" he said.

"No," she said "you can't have it...because it's MY house".

She was serious. Her parents, as it turned out, were serious society mavens.

Tassos. Strouds. Yes, those are the places! I had forgotten the names. Been over 20 years since I lived there.

I still question authentic Mexican. Remember, I live in San Antonio. I can get Nopalitos (cactus strips) Cabrito (braised baby goat) Tacos de lengua (beef tongue tacos) puffy tacos, puerco al pastor, gorditas, etc. in most Mexican restaurants here. It's very hard to find a lot of that outside of the border states. Most people who don't know better think Tex-Mex (what you get in 98% of Mexican restaurants in America) is authentic Mexican. In reality, I don't think there would be a market for authentic Mexican in KC. Everyone is so used to Tex-Mex and would probably turn their nose up at the authentic stuff.

I really don't like KC, but the Kansas side seems nicer. I was in Overland Park for about 10-12 weeks a few years back and it was a nice place if you're a suburbanite.

Along the Missouri River and south you have steep hills and some very interesting topography. Many of hills are really rock formations that were covered in loess and then the soil eroded to form ravines.

What I like most is the small valleys along the southern rivers and the limestone bluffs carved by floods. Not as dramatic as out west but it boggles the imagination to think of rivers so huge.

The Missourah is flooding right now. 26 feet at Boonville will fill our banks. 28 feet and I'll be parked on the road, and at 31 I'll be parking a half mile away. Rivers are an interesting dynamic.

Goat's right about eastern and western Texas having some hills, but just driving through I didn't see anything like the Ozarks or the Boston Mountains in northwestern Arkansas. There's places where the road inclines 30-40 degrees with switchbacks and the shoulder is a gully or a drop off.

But what you grow up with is usually what you like, unless you have the same experience I had in my hometown - it got swallowed up by suburbia and the whole culture changed.

When the left sees a rightwing power swing,
they defiantly proclaim they will move to Europe to avoid getting an unwanted tax cut.

When the right sees a leftwing power swing,
they defiantly speak of revolution or secession to avoid the new world order.

Only a few on the left ever actually move out of the country
and even if they do, no one really cares.

Only a few on the right ever actually attempt to secede
and even if they do, Janet Reno knows how to put that to an end.

Chuck needs to keep it cool or
he might find himself trapped inside his own burning house one day.

road inclines 30-40 degrees

Honestly? How can one drive on that?

it got swallowed up by suburbia and the whole culture changed.

So did mine. So I left it. Plano, Texas was a small town of 2,500 when I was born. By the time I graduated from HS it was 17k. Still not too bad. But now it is 300k and all snoots. I'll never go back to live. I visit as I have lots of friends and family there, but that's it.

Plano Sucks. I prefer the border towns in Texas like Laredo, El Paso or Brownsville. Central Texas has too many republicans. Border towns have a more liberal attitude where you can get whatever you want.

Frank Cotton could kick the shit out of Chuck Norris.

Honestly? How can one drive on that?

Carefully, because you never know when a semi is going the other way.

BTW, I have some habanero chili (no beans) mellowing out in the fridge. I pickled the peppers for a week. I've wanting to make cheese soup and habaneros are the best for that, IMO.

I currently have 19 Habanero chiles in the 'fridge. They are going to be an important component of my next batch of hot sauce.

"Everyone is so used to Tex-Mex and would probably turn their nose up at the authentic stuff."

You're probably right. Although my older brother lived in Texas and hated what HE referred to as "Tex-Mex". He pined for the Americanized versions.

I had a friend once buy me a bunch of habanero products during a trip she took to the ocean, included in that package was a jar of peanuts covered in habanero powder.

We went out partying and I came home that night and decided to try some of the peanuts, they tasted great at the time, and I ate half the can.

It literally burned a hole in my stomach.

I would never eat another habanero or anything that had habanero in it again.

OZARK

I lost my brakes going down Los Tunas Canyon road above Malibu headed towards PCH many moons ago. 30-40% grade. The brakes started smelling and not working. Couldn't downshift either.

We were heading towards a switchback about 1/4 mile down with a 200' dropoff going faster and faster. Hit about 45 mph in no time. By the grace of God someone had dumped a load of dirt along the right side of the road I'd noticed going up. Saved our asses. Used one of my 9 lives that day.

For heat I recommend Dave's Insanity sauce. Made from the Habanero

AU did you try pulling the parking brake?

AU did you try pulling the parking brake?

#97 | Posted by rastaninja

Oh, ya. It slowed us down for a few seconds, but quickly became ineffective too. We were on a steep grade. I'd say more on the 30% grade of a dirt road than 40% when I think about it. It was steep enough for us to go from 5 mph to over 40 in a matter of seconds once the brakes wore out. I popped it out of gear to go to 1st gear when the brakes went out and then it wouldn't go in any gear. There wasn't a lot of time to think. We were just lucky that pile of dirt was there. No one got hurt.

You can see Tuna Canyon Road (white) on this map (the road sign always said "Los Tuna Canyon Road"). The road isn't open anymore because of all the people who've gone off the edge there at the switchback you can see just above Pacific Coast Highway to the left of where it says "Topanga Canyon Beach" (Topanga Canyon Rd in Yellow).

After we had it towed down to PJ's house on the other side of PCH the brakes were cooled down and worked like a charm. Had the brake pads changed just in case anyway. The only damage was to the right corner of the bumper. It was an old tank of a '64 Ford I'd had restored. If we'd have been in my little Datsun Roadster we'd have been hurt pretty badly I'd guess.

It's scary as anything you can imagine when your brakes get over heated and won't work.

Plano Sucks.

Yep. That's what I said

Border towns have a more liberal attitude where you can get whatever you want.

That's meskins for ya

By the grace of God someone had dumped a load of dirt along the right side of the road I'd noticed going up.

Many places on the interstates (including Monteagle pass near you between Nashville and Chattanooga) are those runaway truck ramps. At Monteagle the grade is "only" 7%.

GOATMAN

This is a pic of the stretch of road I was talking about. There are quite a few spots as it winds down the mountains where it gets pretty hairy. They closed this road years ago (in the mid 80's) because of all the accidents and poor condition of the road. People (like me) would drive up there because it was part of Bob Hope's property with some stunning views. I think large swaths of the road have fallen off the mountain. Glad I didn't!

Los Tunas Canyon Road

Las Tunas

Was there a lot of prickly pear cacti there? Tuna is the purple 'fruit' of the pricly pear.

I don't recall. I had my eyes on the road both ways.

Once we hit got to the top it was light scrub and scattered trees (oak?). Beautiful vistas where you could see for miles and miles in all directions. Most of that road has fallen off the mountain by now. It wasn't in good shape back in the early 80's.

As suspected, Chuck's brain is Missing in Action.

As for Texas, that's the last place I would visit, god forbid actually more there. Sure, they have nice big steaks, cheap gas, nice country side, but a despicable class society (but with no class) loaded with gun toting rednecks.

I always get a kick out of they Texas sour-grapers. They are like the guys in HS who hated the star quarterback because he got the pretty girls. "I'd never want to be like him" they ignorantly and falsely state. There is no question that Texas has a mystique to it, an independent attitude, and people more proud to be from there than any other state. It's easy to see why there are so many sour grapers. Funny, if Texas was as awful as these sour grapers attest, you'd think there'd be at least one native who could verify these claims. But there's not.

Keep on, sour-grapers. I'll bet that good looking HS quarterback used to laugh at you, too!

PS: The stereotypes are a hoot, too. "...loaded with gun toting rednecks". LOL

Okay, agreed, the last part was bad writing on my part.

Crisis

No harm, no foul, Crisis. We still love ya'! Besides, it's hard to get pissed at someone who appreciates good science fiction.

Well, I'll go the President's route & say that I wouldn't have used the same language. Surely that is a strong enough rebuttal to placate you guys who are all ripped in the ass over this?

LOL. Spoken like a true liberal who has never visited Texas but gets all their stereotypical information from left-leaning websites.

If Norris happened to be a Muslim he would already be in custody.

Valerie Plame committed the ultimate sin. She let politics influence her job. She should have been fired. By the way, she wasn't much of a covert operative. Her neighbors knew what she did

If Norris happened to be a Muslim he would already be in custody

Muslims should be in custody.
They are all potential terrorists

So are all christians.

Why not ask your friend Bill Ayers and see. I'm sure he will be able to help you!

Hey chuck... Your movies suck pal! So do your infomercials. No doubt, this right wing republican in from or lives in Texas. Texas is the crap hole of the USA. I almost want them done with... just let them go. That way Mexico can invade and reclaim what was illegally taken from them by the USA. Any state that produces the Bush family...Alberto Gonzalez...and so many of the other republican idiots that started 2 wars and crippled our Country's economy, I say is worthless. So now the Democrats have to come in and try to save the sinking ship -- and as we all know, this will all be the Dems fault by 2012 - just ask Chuck's friend Rush. The Repubs will not even remember what "W" did to the soul of this country - sold it for war mongers, defense contracts, and big OIL. Go to Hell Texas, Go directly to Hell!!! And bring Dick Cheney and Chuck Norris with you! W is already there under house arrest.

The best part, I've only had to spend 7 total days (out of a total of 36 years) in Texas to do it.

We Texans thank you.

No, No. I thank you texans.

Cha-Ching!

Someone has taken one too many karate chops to the head.

#66 | Posted by goatman at 2009-03-09 11:46 PM | Reply | Flag:

Well, once again, you couldn't be more wrong. You have absolutely NO IDEA how I run my properties.

Do you really think I run my own properties from this far away? I guess if I owned a single house I could but I own several complexes totaling well over 100 units in Texas.

I use an excellent Property Management company that has had outstanding tenant retention compared to my immediate competition.

I'm an investor, not a landlord. Those who own property and spend their time plunging toilets and answering calls from their tenants are fools. Use a good management company and free up your time to look for the next investment.

BTW, when the last time you heard of a tenant in a 50-plus unit property that actually knew the owners name? They don't! They know the manager in the office. That's about it.

So, like I said, you couldn't be more wrong about me or how I run my properties. Enjoy those toilets and evictions.

Cha-Ching!

That's all you care about is the money? You openly admit that having had property in Texas for 36 years, you've been there only 7 days? I though you compassionate democrats cared about the people. It doesn't sound like you care too much for the tenets who rent your property. One day every five years. Wow. You really care.

Wrong again!

Read my #123 post for all the info you need..

I said 7 days out of 36 years. I haven't owned property for 36 years. I'm 36 years old. I only go to Dallas to do a walk-through with my inspector.

"all you care about is the money".

Well.....yeah. I'm a real estate investor who specializes in apartments. Of course I care about the money. If my investments aren't making money, I'm not going to keep them. If I don't maintain my properties and put money back into them, the deferred maintenance starts a death spiral for my properties where good tenants will leave and go elsewhere. This will bring in more risky tenants and make it harder to raise the rents. Without rent increases, my NOI stagnates and the so does the property value. After all, it's not really about the monthly cash-flow as I usually invest only for 3-5 years with the focus being on appreciation. I then sell the property after raising it's value through necessary repairs and property repositioning.

BTW, I think this is the part where you're supposed to accuse me being a slumlord or something.

Funny how people who are all stars and stripes while their party is the one in charge of fucking us over are also the first ones to turn traitor when the other party takes charge of fucking us over.

During the years when the Iraq War was going very badly, many liberals here advocated soldiers do that very thing. Ignore the orders of the Commander in Chief.

Entirely untrue by a longshot. But thats ok, you also thought liberals hated the troops too.

In fact your list of things that you believe in that are in fact wrong is a long one.

yes, CS, I assume you had a management company. I'm not that dumb. I have someone manage my rent house too

But still, you don't really care much about the welfare of your tenets if you visit your property only one day every five years. Hell, it doesn't sound very wise business wise either to put full faith in that much property in a management company and virtually never check up on them or your tenets.

You sound like the caracature the lefties paint of republicans. Own property and never visit it to make sure the tenets are doing OK as long as the money comes in.

SOrry, there's no other way to see it. Looking in on your property 7 days in 36 years paints a picture of an uncaring property owner no matter how you paint it or spin it. You should be a republican. They allegedly don't care for the people who make their money for them either.

BTW, I think this is the part where you're supposed to accuse me being a slumlord or something.

OK. It seems kind of petty to me, but "You're a slumlord or something".

Better?

Timbci,

WHAT!? That's just plain factually wrong. No idea where you pulled that one; your ass, maybe? Or Fox News? Plame was overseas at the time, even her husband had no idea she was an agent (apparently there was nearly a divorce when he found out during this affair), and he was the one that criticized the Iraq War. Trancripts and witnesses during the Libby Trial indicate that Cheney learned of Plame's classified status and began publicly discussing Plame because of her husband's criticisms with six government officials who were not rated to know Plame's status. That much has been accepted as fact in a court. There were also several former administration officials who have said that they knew for a fact that Cheney ordered Libby to leak the names. Because Obama doesn't want to reopen this because of his interest in 'reconciliation', there will never be charges heaped on Cheney based on these claims. Unfortunately.

But even the first point (discussing Plame with other people because her husband criticized the Iraq war) is Treasonous. Politically motivated disclosure of even less privileged national security information has led to hangings in the past.

Entirely untrue by a longshot.

You're joking, right?
Even if you've never seen those comments (which were plentiful), you'd have to be brand new to the retort, or completely retarded to make such a statement.

Google any number of threads about retired generals railing against Bush and read the links. Those are the ones where you'd most likely find the comments (not about the retired generals, but about troops in general).

Not by a longshot? Holy fucking shit that's naive.

BTW, I think this is the part where you're supposed to accuse me being a slumlord or something.

You didn't address anything I corrected you on.

You just went on to accuse me of not taking care of my investments after I explained myself in length. I just figured 'slumlord' was the next logical step in your accusations.

I don't even know what to think of this. On the one hand, I support the notions of revolution should government become too much, too intrusive, too corrupt, etc...

On the other hand, where was this talk from these right wing "cells" a few short months ago?

chuckie cheese keeps flipping his wig--literally.

huckelberry hound's whore gone wild.

hey mr has been,

no one values your fabrications unless they too still live in tv land.

Politically motivated disclosure of even less privileged national security information has led to hangings in the past.

Which is why they both went to work on Kerry's campaign? Wrote a book? Lied about the CIA giving him permission to leak classified info? BTW... At the time, who in the current Government did Joe Wilson speak to about the yellowcake? I know he spoke with plenty of ex-aides and ex-government officials. Did he ever quote someone from the goverment?

CS: You have several apartment complexes so I presume you have many tenets who make you a lot of money. You have a management company who takes care of things. But you visit all those tenets spending less than one day every five years (or 7 days in 36 years) to make sure the management company is doing a good job and looking out for those people in a manner they should be.

Ugh.

Ok, I'll explain it one more time for you.

I'm 36 years old. I've owned property in Texas for 3 years (not 36) and been there a total of 7 days, You can do the new math.

As for checking up on my property, I have monthly reports submitted to me detailing my properties performance and I'm on the phone with the management company t least once a week to discuss future maintenance projects. The management company handles all aspects of management (from landscaping to evictions (very few of those) and everything in between) and I require photos of all repairs (before and after). If I saw a decline in any part of my property and the numbers weren't constantly improving, I'd be down there in a heartbeat to remedy it but that hasn't been the case.

As for checking in on my tenants, I can tell they're doing fine due to the high retention rates. Some of the highest in the area for like properties. These are B properties in B areas and historically, these tenants are some of the most fickle and will up and leave fast if they're not happy. I see all of the signed work orders with tenant comments (I require it) and tenant suggestions and almost all (you'll always have someone that can't be pleased no matter what you do for them) are quite happy with the property and the service.

The only reason Texas was a country of its own was because it seceded from Mexico in order to have slavery, which was forbidden by the Mexican constitution, so Norris can take his righteous Texas independence and shove it up his bogus Texas butt.

Is this right or not

Nice fairy tale you made up. Too bad before the NY Times picked this up as a rallying cry against Cheney they reported that their neighbors were aware that she worked for the CIA. Joe Wilson is an evil man and needs to be punished. Valerie Plame was a whore that slept with the enemy to bleed information. When she got old she was put out to pasture because she was no longer desirable..Sending Joe Wilson, who was already in the bag with Kerry was her revenge

I'm 36 years old. I've owned property in Texas for 3 years (not 36) and been there a total of 7 days,

My bad on the 36 years.

So basically, you fully trust the managment company to give truthful reports and see no need to check in in the people who make you your money more often?

Is this correct?

If you were a republican and declared that, the lefties would be all over you like a chickent on a june bug.

COMMONSENSE, bravo for the way you manage your properties. Sounds like a great investment.

I think you have the impression that this management company is some small-time operation. They're not.

I also think you believe I never see my properties. When I visit for an inspection, I stop by my other properties and do a general walk-through with my manager and we formulate a plan of action for the next season to address any maintenance.

Back to the tenants, what would you have me do for them? I'm they're landlord, not their mother. My manager asks them how all is going and I get the comments/complaints. Those issues are addressed (if they're realistic). What more would you expect from a property owner? While in the Navy and for a few years afterwords, I lived in few large complexes and I can say that I NEVER met the actual owner.

I bought a Lexus a few years back and it had a problem. Guess what, the CEO of Lexus never contacted me during all these years........and I never expected him/her too.

COMMONSENSE, bravo for the way you manage your properties. Sounds like a great investment.

Thank you.

I learned from one of the best.

This guy, Dave Lindahl, owns over 7000 units around the country. I took his course/seminar and while I hate to sound like a freakin' commercial, it really did change my life.

It is time to arrest traitors like Norris, Hannity, Levin, and Rush.

It is not criticism, it is treason.

WE CAN KEEP GUANTANAMO OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have the impression that this management company is some small-time operation. They're not

I'm sure they are great. BUt me,if I was responsible for hundreds of people's homes, I'd check up more on the management on them than 7 times in three years. But that's just me.

Back to the tenants, what would you have me do for them?

Nothing. You are getting your money. No need to check on them. They're only Texans anyway.

I bought a Lexus a few years back and it had a problem. Guess what, the CEO of Lexus never contacted me during all these years........and I never expected him/her too.

Did you live in it? ALl the times I was a renter, the owner stayed in conact or checked personally at least every two or three months. I check on my rent house and tenan at least once every two months even though they are 350 miles away. But they and I are Texans. What the fuck do we know, right, CS? It's pretty fucked up to make ure those who make you money are happy, isn't it? Fucking redneck republican assholes.

Yet the way CS does it is SOP for remote landlords. Amazing, isn't it. Seems to work for most, also.

Yet the way CS does it is SOP for remote landlords. Amazing, isn't it. Seems to work for most, also

I wonder what his tenants would think if they knew how prejudiced he is?

"I wonder what his tenants would think if they knew how prejudiced he is?"

Why would they want to know, why would they care?
Don't know what his personal opinions are, but business is usually business, not personal. Fact remains, his actions are SOP, even better than most.

Why would they want to know, why would they care?

I would want to know if my landlord held an irrational prejudice against me.

Do you approve of prejudice as long as the target of the irrational hatred is not aware of it? Is that what you are saying, ailtd?

Ummmm.... CalifChris, you stated that stirring up hatred is uncalled for and you really seem bent out of shape about it. Need I remind you of he incredible amounts of hatred that have been directed at the right and Bush over the last 8 years? I almost can't believe you wrote that when I know that you know what it has been like. I guess maybe you don't know coming from your point of view.

My son worked for a while for a local company that owns and manages many apartments. He quit because they would only let him do the very minimal amount of repairs to the units and some of the neglect bordered on dangerous conditions. That was a local owner so the location of the owners, how often they visit the properties, etc. is irrelevant. If you employ a repubutable management company and are willing to spend what it takes to maintain them it doesn't matter where you live.

If you employ a repubutable management company and are willing to spend what it takes to maintain them it doesn't matter where you live.

I'm sure CS hires the best manaement company he can. The main reason I'm busting his balls is that there is something a little creepy about a person giving a third of his paycheck to someone who hates him. And it's even creepier that a person would make lots of money off the backs of someone he holds an irrational hatred for. That is very disingenous IMHO and I think CS is an asshole for doing it.

Goatman appears to be used to the small town ideals of renter-owner relationships where everyone knows everyone else and the owner comes by for coffee once a week. I've lived in rental properties for years at a time and never even met the owner. I never cared, either.

"Do you approve of prejudice as long as the target of the irrational hatred is not aware of it? Is that what you are saying, ailtd?"

Nope, I'm stating that in real life, people don't look for things to cause themselves problems. I've worked for people who held views I found very objectionable. It happens a lot in life. Also, I was stating things from a business perspective, that business is business.

"When she got old she was put out to pasture because she was no longer desirable.."

Riiight....she's still beautiful. I bet she could kick your ass too.

You worked for people who's views you found VERY objectionable? Doesn't sound like you have much in the principal department. I would never work for someone who's views I found very objectionable. And I've quit jobs where that has come into play. It's called honor.

Goatman appears to be used to the small town ideals of renter-owner relationships where everyone knows everyone else and the owner comes by for coffee once a week

I admit I am probably guilty of that.

Also, I was stating things from a business perspective, that business is business

It may be, but if I can, I avoid business with prejudiced people simply because prejudice sucks and people who practice it don't deserve to prosper.

If you were black, would you have a problem giving a third of your paycheck to a white man whom you knew hated blacks? I sure would. In the same manner, would hae a big problem giving rent to an asshole who hated me simply because of the state I live in. I would definitely find another place to live. Bigots don't deserve my money. They don't deserve anything, IMO.

I'm gonna have to side with Goatman on this one. If I knew my landlord hated me because of where I was from I definitely would be finding a new place to live. It's a matter of principal and living with yourself when it's a matter like this. You are basically saying that you don't disapprove of someone's bias or prejudice if you know about it and still support them. If you give them money for a service you are supporting them.

Everlong

I really was not aware of the left's hatred (if there was any other than disappointed about the 2000 election) directed towards Bush -- at least I wasn't for the first 3 years of more of Bush's time in office.

I voted for Bush in 2000. I was actually one of those thrilled when the S.CT decided he would be President, and I was so proud of him when a few days after 9/11/2001 Bush stood on top of a pile of 9/11 rubbish alongside a retired fireman and spoke on a handheld microphone to promise all of us he would "get those who did this to our country."

By the end of 2003, most of the respect I had for Bush had gone

And over the years -- 3 million jobs lost, Bush's unfair, one-sided (anti-American workers) "free trade" agenda, his lies to take us into the Iraq war, more than 4000 dead GI's, more than 20,000 badly injured GI's, his theft of billions from our Treasury for phony war profiteering reconstruction projects for Republican donors and -- as always -- Bush's smirk and "fuck you" attitude when it came to doing anything to help out the average American guy whom he despised.

And don't forget Bush was the one who literally abolished (or happily let be ignored) almost all the federal rules and regulations which had been in place for years (the FDA and other agencies to protect Americans) all to increase corporate profit. It was GWB after all who said he "intended to run our government like a business" -- and he did. With an eye for profit only for his chosen few.

How many Americans were sickened and died from cases of food poisoning, lead poisoning, and inferior and deadly imported products foisted on us from China because Bush abolished the rules for quality inspection of imports and intentionally underfunded our government inspection agencies?

WALL STREET -- although both sides were at fault it was the Republicans in full and complete control for SIX years. Again, federal rules and regulations were either ignored or abolished letting DOW brokers and the hedge fund and investment banking boys run amok.

Can you name ONE single program Bush ever put into place to help average Americans -- those whose last names didn't have an "Inc." at the end? No.

Last, but not least, in July 2003 I got my first computer and was able to access the internet for the first time in my life. By the end of 2003 my eyes were wide open.

Why do your eyes remain closed?

Whooooaaaaa big fella. Calm down there.

Let's take this slowly.

'Irrational Hatred'? Not quite. I don't hate any of my tenants. As I said, I've never met any of them. As for the people in Dallas that I do deal with, (Accountant, Management, Realtors, Property Inspectors & Lawyers) I don't hate any of them either. I actually quite like all of them that I've met with the exception of one lawyer, but hey, it's lawyer (sorry Joe). Although, we don't discuss politics so that may be a reason. They know I'm a 'Yankee' and that's about the extent of it.

That begs the question..."What if I did hate my tenants"? What would you expect of me then? I can't treat them any differently or I'd be a lousy investor. I never meet them therefore I can have no ill will towards any of them. I see them all as keys to a successful investment. If I had to clean their toilets and take phone calls at 2am for a dripping faucet or go to the unit and argue for my rent money, that might change, but I don't have to.

People on here make assumptions (usually political and or educational) all the time about others based on geography. I know they usually have very little merit and yes, I'm guilty of it (as are you). I also know that as much as people make these assertions, much of it is in jest. Usually to get one's 'goat'. Not much more. So, relax and know that at least 120 of your fellow Texans have a clean, safe place to sleep tonight and are quite happy with that.

Peace.

Hey, if you say that you weren't aware of it then I believe you. But I'm saying that it existed from the moment he took office because I was witness to it.

Old Tim was ready years ago!! What took his republican conservative brethren so long to catch up??

Tax cuts, faith based programs, after school programs.... there's three off the top of my head that were aimed to help average American's. I'm certain that there are plenty more if you just look.

'Irrational Hatred'? Not quite. I don't hate any of my tenants.

You've made it quite clear more than once you hate Texans and all things Texan. That my friend, is prejudice. Now it seems you don't hate the ones who give you money or help yu make it. That's even creepier. They have to buy themselves out of your prejudices.

You don't think this is creepy?:

Well, I'm from Massachusetts and this 'carpetbagger' has bought up several apartment complexes in Dallas. I want to thank you Texans for paying me a pile of cash to live in my properties.

What would you think if a white man said, "

"Well, I'm from Massachusetts and this exploiter of blacks has bought up several apartment complexes in Dallas. I want to thank you blacks for paying me a pile of cash to live in my properties."

Are you OK with that? If not, why? I only substituted a couple of words.

True, you substituted only a couple of words but I have to point out that you're comparing race with ideology. Even you have to admit, that's quite a stretch. Calling someone a neo-con or a lib is not quite the same as claiming you hate an entire race of people.

Can you name ONE single program Bush ever put into place to help average Americans -- those whose last names didn't have an "Inc." at the end? No.

But nothing compared to the difficulties you experience trying to come up with a definition for "socialism." I mean, one that isn't limp on arrival and stolen.

You have no idea what the American people want. Universal Health care is wanted by the majority of Americans, and people like you love the socialist ideas of the military, police, fire departments, libraries, road building, meat inspecting, and everything else that makes living as a human being better than an animal.

The government was formed by the people--FOR THE PEOPLE. The government is for nothing else than helping its citizens live good lives. A good government does that by educating its citizens--taking care of their health, and protecting them from invasion. Of those, the average citizen will need an education and health care much more than the military.

Timbci,

It is clear to me that you, like so many neoconservative dittoheads, do not have a clue in your head, do not pay attention to reliable sources, and have fallen victim to a media and radio indoctrinated fear that plagues so much of the GOP.

The claim that Valerie Plame's neighbors knew that she worked for CIA was made in an EDITORIAL in the Washington Times (NOT in the NY Times, as you claimed). No other substantiated claims were ever made or reported by anyone.

Also, your viewpoints regarding Plame's are extremely self-contradictory. Plame had been operating undercover in Africa, attempting to determine whether equipment Iraq had recently bought could have been used for WMD. She was working on one of the Bush Administration's top priorities, the justification for the invasion of Iraq. With the same priorities as a Soldier in Iraq, she was looking to see if Iraq has managed to obtain any nuclear material in the time since the first Gulf War.

In addition, you seem to be under the impression that a CIA agent's job is that of James Bond- to seduce others for information. If you knew anything about modern information extraction, you'd know that this conception of a spy rests purely in the realms of fiction. From what is publicly available, she often worked in a professional capacity as part of an energy company that wanted "to examine alternate sources of energy". In other words, they gained information by pretending to provide nuclear services to interested nations. This most assuredly did not involve sleeping with anyone. Stop getting your information about the real world from movies.

On a last note, this is the last time I will ever deign to reply to you on this site. I have been browsing your Drudge Retort profile, and your apparent views are so extreme and self-contradictory that you must either be a troll or, if you do indeed believe in what you are saying, a person who is on par in his simplicity with Fred Phelps. You are the lowest of the low, a person who can type out what he feels but has little-to-no critical thinking capacity. Pitty that it is now so easy for such a valueless person as you to continue spreading such virulent, sick views. Hopefully you are just a secular right winger and do not claim to be a Christian, because if you do, you have a lot of explaining to do to your God regarding your contradiction of His views on morality, hypocrisy, and logic.

The government was formed by the people--FOR THE PEOPLE....

...as long as the people believe in what da bOoB believes. If they don't, they have to start their own country.

If they don't, they have to start their own country.

I'm just facing the facts ma'am. The new country is an inevitability. I just don't want the bloodshed of the last time. I recognize reality, and reality comes along whether you realise it or not. I don't want America to split, but it already has, in its heart. Here is a taste of the reality to come.

Right Wingers Want to Rebel Against America

Add in Limbaughs hatred for America fanning the flames hour after hour, day after day, year after year, and all the rightwing media, and the split is inevitable. The question is how much bloodshed will it take. I just say people like Chuck and the millions who think like him should be allowed to live in peace in their own country. Do you think Chuck listened to me and got the idea from the DR? No. The people who want America to split are making themselves known. I just recognise reality, and say they should be able to leave freely--and take Texas with them.

The new country is an inevitability

And there are smokestacks on the moon. You are so smart, bOoB. LOL

Where's Hans? These flames wars have to stop!

Extra "S" for the OCD among you.

It appears one of Chuck's right wing retards jumped the gun.

Ten people are dead, including the man behind a shooting spree which started in Samson and ended in Geneva late Tuesday afternoon.

Geneva Mayor Wynn Tonmelton said there are eight dead in Samson and one in between Samson and Geneva.

State Sen. Harri Anne Smith said that during a briefing with the Alabama Department of Public Safety she was informed that there were 10 casualties, including the shooter. Possible additional shooting sites are also being investigated.

You can't see it from the Earth--you can barely see it from 75 miles away. The smoke was only visible for about 1/6 of a second, and who knows how often it is emitted.

So there are no telescopes that can closely observe the surface of the moon and see the object from earth or from space?

What facts are you talking about little mind? Put those facts out there so everyone can see them. Don't talk about the facts you have--post the facts facts you have duMMy. I don't deny what my eyes tells me is there. You have no explanation that makes sense this side of physics, and I have no faith in anything.

Tell us what it is Super Genius. You are always good for a laugh.

Tell us about the magic still picture with the moving and disappearing Smoke Stack in it like Rex just tried to do. Go ahead--tell us that story again. The kids love it.

The Hubble can resolve objects 60 meters on the moon. Something thousands of meters high would be easy to see.

Hey, this could actually vindicate bOoB's inane posts on starting one's own country.

Why don't you tell us what's wrong with the bad astronomy story for a change, bOoB. It makes perfect sense.

Bob obviously you have figured out that there are smokestacks on the moon and the US government 'did' 9/11.

I doubt there is such a telescope. Hubble can't see the moon Rover. Apollo 8 was only 75 miles from the object--got a telescope that can see closer than that?

In addition. this was taken 40 years ago, and only discovered recently---I doubt anyone has been looking.

As usual da bOoB ignores what he wants. He asks for facts. He gets them. He ignores them. Then he calls everyone stupid.

LOL

here it is for you to ignore again, bOoB: The hubble can resolve to 60 meters on the moon -- much smaller than your smokestacks.

You do realise that we would be looking down on the object don't you? Of course you don't. You think we could get a side view of it. That's cute. Stupid, but cute.

But even so, your point is moot. Maybe they CAN see it. If they know stuff is up there already--why would they tell us about it now? It's not news to the government, and they don't want society to have the proof the MAJORITY suspects.

Poor bOoB. Such a short memory span. Gets confused so easily. We were on the topic of lunar smokestacks, 5 minutes passes, he forgets and thinks we are on 9/11.

Try to focus, bOoB -- try to focus.

Lunar smokestacks, remember? LOL

What a brainless idiot.

You do realise that we would be looking down on the object don't you? Of course you don't. You think we could get a side view of it. That's cute. Stupid, but cute.

I guess poor stupid bOoB is not aware that the moon rotates. So if we are looking down on it, all we have to do is wait one quarter revolution (7 days) and we would be looking at it from the side. Also, it would be either evening or morning on the moon then and the thing would be casting a huge shadow (miles long since there is no atmosphere to absorb it) that would be very easy to see.

If you don't believe this, try this simple experiment: Stick a pin in a tennis ball. Orient it so you are looking straight down the pin. Hard to see as you say. Now turn the tennis ball 1/4 turn (any direction, it doesn't matter) Now you see it full on. Funny how that works, huh?

But I know you won't believe this because you have proven many times that orbital mechanics, simple geometry and simple trigonometry mean nothing to you. LOL

Sorry DumMy. I only respond to you when someone else is around. No Rex--no need to talk to you. You have become worthless. More and more people are aware of your assholiness(tm). Talk to them and spread your wisdom.

I put as much validity in the 'polls' you cited as I do in alien widget factories on the moon.

And every truther collapses when confronted with fact in person, much easier to be a, crazy person nutter online, where you can ignore reality.

Rex--it is you that is ignoring reality. Your link claims it is a still picture---and that "something" happened in the zooming that made what looks like a huge cloud suddenly appear, then fade, and then disappear.

You call that "facts".

This is the reality of still pictures Rex

1. They are still

2. They don't move

3. Things don't suddenly appear in still pictures

4, Things don't change shape and density in still pictures.

5. Things don't disappear from still pictures.

The reality of the video, is that NOVA and NASA claim it is a video, not a still. The reality of the video is that the whole sequence only lasts about 3 seconds, and the puff of gas is only seen for about 1/6th second. I doubt any NOVA engineer made an enlargement, put it on an easel and zoomed in for a 3 second zoom in shot, when the video was easily available. The best explanation for the gas cloud is "something happened"

Here is your explanation of the gas from yuour link. It was near the bottom, so I know you didn't read it.

So what is that puff then? Instead of a giant object a mile high blowing out smoke, it is almost certainly a smudge of some kind on the NOVA footage.

A smudge wouldn't magically appear on the footage. A smudge wouldn't give the illusion of fading. A smudge wouldn't disappear off of a still picture.

Perhaps it was on the camera used to make the zoomed sequence,

If it was on the lens, it would have shown up from the beginning. If it was on the lens, it would seem to change shape and move. If it was on the lens, it wouldn't suddenly disappear. If it was on the lens, the it would have shown up for longer than 1/6th second.

or something else that happened during production.

There we go---"something else"---what? they don't know--and neither do you.

But one thing we know for sure is that it is not a real sense of it being a object on the Moon, and therefore certainly not a giant smokestack!

Bad Astronomy says the Smokestack is a smudge on a still picture that moves---or "Something"

Because it must be "something else". Occams Razor---much easier than your magic "something" appearing and disappearing smudge in just that precise location for 1/6 second.

That that is, is.

Goatman, you are correct, the Moon does rotate; one rotation per revolution around the Earth. That means the Moon always shows the same side to the Earth. Your tennis ball analogy doesn't work because the pin will always point straight toward Earth, except for a small wobble from libration.

Of course Jay. duh. mind fart

By the way, the latest is that there was no 9/11. The Twin Towers were never taken down. It was all an illusion perpetrated by the Buffalo Bob brigade. All of the people are acting under instructions from "Conspirators "R Us."

And a cautionery note, the leaders of the conspiracy group that is trying to cause the country to accept the idea that there was a 9/11, take the code names of ruminants. I'm not going to say any more.

I thought the code name was librationist...

In fact your list of things that you believe in that are in fact wrong is a long one.

Can you find me a link to where I said this?

I'd love to read where I said something this stupid to see how far I've come from pie-in-the-sky dreaming to reality. So, surely you have a link somewhere.

Hit me. I can take it.

That's the results of the search. If you could, please sort through those and find the post where I said liberals hate soldiers. Once you're done with that, see if you can move forward in time to the points where I call republicans "stupid dumbasses" for thinking that Liberals hate soldiers.

Thanks. That's all the homework I have for you tonight.

As for the validity of my post that you quoted, scroll down a bit further. You'll see where one poster admitted to it. Then, you'll see another link that I found personally and linked to.

On a side note, I find it somewhat humorous that some of the lefties condemning him also like to chant the historically inaccurate "Give Texas back to Mexico". LOL

What's historically inaccurate about that? Mexico controlled Texas until 1836, at which point Sam Houston's forces routed Santa Anna and forced him to sign a treaty granting Texas independence. In the mid 1840s, Texas was admitted into the Union as a state. That's one of the primary reasons why America and Mexico went to war back around 1846-1847.

Try opening a history textbook, huh?

What's historically inaccurate about that?

If the US was to 'give Texas back', they would be giving it back to the Republic, not the Mexicans, that's what's inaccurate. The US did not get Texas from Mexico.

Try opening a history textbook, huh?

Having read dozens of books on Texas history and being a Texas history buff and living in the middle of where it all took place, I'll challenge you on Texas History at any time. LOL

If the US was to 'give Texas back', they would be giving it back to the Republic, not the Mexicans, that's what's inaccurate. The US did not get Texas from Mexico.

Fair enough, but as Texas was originally controlled by Mexico, I'm sure you can see where the statement comes from. So while it's not 100% historically accurate, it's not that far off.

Besides, Mexico never did recognize Texas as a republic since Santa Anna signed the treaty with a gun to his head. If I'm remembering my US history classes correctly, they did try to invade Texas again.

Also, if Texas wants to secede, then as far as I'm concerned they can go. If the rest of the state is as much of a shithole as Dallas, then we won't be losing much.

Besides, Mexico never did recognize Texas as a republic since Santa Anna signed the treaty with a gun to his head

That's true too, of course, but England didn't recognize the US until when? I honestly don't know but it was obviously after the war of 1812. Yet the world still recognized America's birthday as July 4, 1776.

Likewise, though disputed, The Republic of Texas was born on March 2, 1836

Also, if Texas wants to secede, then as far as I'm concerned they can go. If the rest of the state is as much of a shithole as Dallas, then we won't be losing much.

As you probably know, I am in disgreement. This country has a lot of shitholes (and who gets to make that designation, anyway) yet for better or worse, we are the United States of America, not the USA minus the shitholes.

I am for a United states and would be adamantly opposed to ridding us of any part of it. I love every square mile of her, even i there are place here I would not wish to live

Please also take Kansas and Alaska. Thank you.

Hey, if TExas wants to secede at least let us close all our military bases there and bring all or our planes and other military hardware and personnel back into the remaining states. Also remove the border patrols and stop the flow of any stimulus dollars heading that way. I guess we'll have to put border crossings wherevere roads enter and leave Texas so have your pass ports ready if you want to enter the US and travel to any of our other states.
Good luck with your dealings with Mexico in the future, won't be our problemo any more.

Privileges for the productive citizens will include:

first place to start is on april 15

the protest for that day is growing by leaps and bounds and as one of hannitys guests on the panel said

she was at a conservative protest but the media didnt cover it because they didnt blow something up
which is a good point..maybe WE need to use tactics of the left

and the article is correct as my research has shown. ALl of my texas life I have heard that sam houston and/or anson jones was not going to join the union without the seccesion part but that was dispelled or not done or whatever.

THE FACT Is.....we could stand on our own and that is a fact that sort of promotes this whole idea.

I do know that as my first executive order as president of texas I would CLOSE ALL PORTS to US ships carrying oil until we worked out how much the tariff would be....

and then I OF COURSE would declare MARGARTIAS FOR EVERYONE..............

I don't think he's looking for paintball warriors, Eddie.

Thanks bOoB. And if you had not had to add the barb, you would have been 100% correct. I am not 'usually' wrong.

But thanks for the correct date anyway. Unlike you I will accept facts and not dismiss them because they don't fit into a meticulously constructed fantasy world I've created.

I think BOob and Doc are the same people. They both will say that you're wrong, no matter what you say, even if you made a statement as simple as "The Sky is Blue", or "Obama is a Socialist".

Oh look. Eddie tried to make a funny. Ha. Ha ha.

That Carrot Top comedy correspondence course he almost finished really paid off!

You dismiss facts every day--that's why I said you were usually wrong. You are usually wrong.

I noticed you took a nice cup of STFU after my #220 post. It proves again, that you are usually wrong. Tell us again how lighter fluid can weaken steel. You are usually wrong.

You dismiss facts every day--that's why I said you were usually wrong. You are usually wrong.

LOL

Tell us again how lighter fluid can weaken steel.

LOL You love that story, don't you! I guess you should read your notes.

Or google "piper alpha" and read the timeline and look at the pictures. LOL

Later, bOoB

Dear Chuck,

Please add Utah to the list with Kansas and Alaska. Thank you for finally offering to move out.

Sincerely,
Sanity

New Idea: Just kick out the states that spend more tax dollars than they create. Let Texas take them with. Texas may actually not be one of them, but it can surely afford to help out its neighboring Red States. Of the top 25 states who spend more than they give, 2 are a blue and the rest are red. In fact, that seems to be the trend throughout the list. Stop Socialism; get rid of the Red States.

Here's a list:

You forget, as you usually do, that I showed Piper Alpha was destroyed by explosions. You were mistaken as usual. I showed how the flames on Piper Alpha at their highest point, were tinged in yellow indicating their temperature was well below that of melting steel. Facts you ignore. Even the link said the main part simply fell into the ocean, Facts you ignore.

Got a link where it says oil fires can melt steel? I know you had a safety inspector tell you that oil and gas fire can melt steel--how about someone from the scientific community? Ever wonder why a gas stove doesn't melt? It doesn't melt bcause gas fires can't melt steel, proving you are mistaken as usual.

piper alpha. bOoB

I think BOob and Doc are the same people. They both will say that you're wrong, no matter what you say, even if you made a statement as simple as "The Sky is Blue", or "Obama is a Socialist".

if when you say doc you are talking about doc sarvis you are way off
doc sarvis while wrong as usual has class.

I know you had a safety inspector tell you that oil and gas fire can melt steel--

You do? I never said that.

You know lies make me ignore you. See ya' next thread (until you start lying again)

You forget, as you usually do, that I showed Piper Alpha was destroyed by explosions.

More lies *yawn*

The piper alpha was still mostly standing after the last explosion. The structure was weakened by the inense heat. It's so strange you deny this, because I read in in a link YOU put up! LOL

ANyway as I said -- lies lies lies. Go back to with the rest of the bottom feeders, bOoB

"If you want to use the word lose, then we ALL have lost."

no

the republicans lost

thanks

"we could stand on our own and that is a fact that sort of promotes this whole idea."

the fact is your ideology has bankrupted the world and now you want to fight over it

sad.

the fact is texas on its own would soon become the next saudi arabia with the insane amount of conservatism there.

afk, you gonna be the next bin laden with a cowboy hat instead of a turban?

the fact is texas on its own would soon become the next saudi arabia with the insane amount of conservatism there.

Thank you, Jeane Dixon

Also, if Texas wants to secede, then as far as I'm concerned they can go. If the rest of the state is as much of a shithole as Dallas, then we won't be losing much.

Texas should cecede. Good luck importing oil from Mexico with Teax closed.

Danni you are white trash.Stop pretending that you shop anywhere else besides Walmart and Target. Don't worry about anyone overstaying there visa because if Texas ever ceceded other states would follow. america is falling apart under a alleged President that want to redistribute wealth and increase taxes as if the gov't doesn't waste what they take already

While I would love Texas to become its own country, if for no other reason than future Bush family members would not be allowed to serve as President...actually, what was my point?

the fact is texas on its own would soon become the next saudi arabia with the insane amount of conservatism there.

I guess it would balance out Vermont. Killington, Vt. tried to cecede from Vermont a few years ago because of the taxes. New Hampshire is a much better state with less child molesters

The piper alpha was still mostly standing after the last explosion. The structure was weakened by the inense heat. It's so strange you deny this, because I read in in a link YOU put up! LOL

Sorry little mind--the facts you keep ignoring prove you mistaken.

1. Oil fires don't burn hot enough to melt steel.

2. Explosions destroyed Piper Alpha.

You know--EXPLOSIONS---those things you mocked as non existent in the Piper Alpha tragedy.

While I would love Texas to become its own country, if for no other reason than future Bush family members would not be allowed to serve as President...actually, what was my point?

The Bush's are from Ct. but nice try

"The Bush's are from Ct."

they moved to Maine and Texas

no bush is in connecticut

we shaved them off.

the fact is your ideology has bankrupted the world and now you want to fight over it

sad.

#269 | Posted by klifferd at 2009-03-11 01

what??

so we in texas have bankrupted the world??

okay so I know you meant bush but it still is a silly idea

again my comment from the nooner

what IF we tried to seceed

would obama move military into the state and declare marhal law?

what would he do?

an interesting thing to look at dont you think?

and remember a lot of this talk is because we were the only state that wasnt a territory or the like
a real republic and there in lies the reason for
TEXAS SWAGGER

that and we are better than the rest of you..(IM joking)

Eddie, if you told Doc that the sky was blue he would demand that you show proof and explain why it is blue.

As for the Texas bashers, jealousy is an ugly thing. It amazes me how Texas is singled out and insulted more than any other state. I suppose California would come in second on that list.

The Bush's are from Ct. but nice try

let me go throught this once more so you will know

they did come from conn but they also had the bumper sticker that you see all over houston

they were given special citizenship a long time ago.

We have seen that film on that disaster many many times at safety meetings out here in the oilpatch. We were told that the explosions left the rig mostly intact and that the fire weakened the structure.

"The Tharos is driven off due to the fearsome heat, which begins to melt the surrounding machinery and steelwork."

This jives with what the film we see here says.

You are usally wrong. You igore facts, and even what you say. Running away is probably your best be. It helps you escxape from the reality of your lies, and facts, catching up to you. Whoops--look out---here's another fact you ignore--oil and gas fires can't melt steel.

"Good luck importing oil from Mexico with Teax closed."

eR....timbicile, you are aware that there are other states bordering Mexico right???? I think maybe they might come through those states, donchathink????

You thought he guy you quoted from your wiki link was a safety inspector on my rig? n Where the fuck did you get that idea?

How's that Sitchin book coming along? 3 months a book? tsk tsk

I know the "half-hour" promised yesterday to get back to your post is about 11 hours overdue. my bad : )
Was burned out and figured this answer could wait until today.

And yes, your "tsk tsk" is a deserved rebuke.

If you knew how I normally devour books, this is unlike me. I have read a couple more chapters.
It is an in-depth book, you have to agree, and to do it justice not something easily rushed through. But I do find it very interesting. Has really made me think over some former views I had.

But it's not the book's contents slowing me down -- it's me. I need to sit down for two hours straight and just read. I used to just whip through a book in four days, give or take. And it's not like I'm watching tv instead, either. Don't even sit thru an entire tv show anymore without multi-tasking two more things at the same time. Just seem to have my mind on too many things at once lately.

But no more excuses. Within TWO WEEKS from manana the book will be finished.

remember the amount of oil coming into ports in texas such as galveston and the rigs that would become TEXAS property...
a major problem on price of gas in the us..

"remember the amount of oil coming into ports in texas such as galveston and the rigs that would become TEXAS property..."

Oh, you didn't mention that Texas would become the People's Republic of Texas. Why else would the rigs change ownership????

Califchris

I know exactly what you mean. I mention it only because I am interested in your thoughts on what he has to say.

AFKABL2

Well, thank you kindly, Afkabl2, for taking the trouble to be my sponsor.

Definitely a much warmer "Texas howdy" than I had received upthread from your
fellow Texan, Libslayer. LOL

So, do I now need to learn how to shoot?

Exactly what are the necessary requirements for a "city slicker outsider" to obtain a "Texas visa"? : )

BBob

I know exactly what you mean. I mention it only because I am interested in your thoughts on what he has to say.

And I'm interested in hearing your own interpretation of Sitchin's book as well.

Glad you know what I meant when I spoke of needing to narrow my concentration more.

2 more weeks : )

Yes! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye! To much hair dye!

"Well, I'm from Massachusetts and this 'carpetbagger' has bought up several apartment complexes in Dallas. I want to thank you Texans for paying me a pile of cash to live in my properties."

I read your defense of this, the race vs ideology thing, but the point is that this is "offensive" & brings nothing to the conversation. You would flip your ass if it was the other way around as listed above & you know it.

BTW: You sound like one of those soulless, don't care about the people, money-hungry, rule-from-afar, entities that you lefties are always bitching about. Do as I say, not as I do?

I for one, think the way it runs sounds great but I have to admit, it'd be nice if you'd "care" more. LOL

We were heading towards a switchback about 1/4 mile down with a 200' dropoff going faster and faster. Hit about 45 mph in no time. By the grace of God someone had dumped a load of dirt along the right side of the road I'd noticed going up. Saved our asses. Used one of my 9 lives that day."

Well, now THERE'S a Harry Chapin song just waiting to happen.....

It was a rainy night on Los Tunas Canyon road
Just above Malibu going to the PCH
My Brakes decided not to slow me down
And I couldn't downshift to save my life

We were heading towards a switchback
It was about a quarter mile down a 200 foot drop
And we just kept on speeding up
It was an aweful fright

Nice one, Kanrei.

Now, if we could only work in something involving a lot of bananas. Although, it is L.A. County, so maybe avocados would be more appropriate. But the song may be just the thing to turn California's economy around....(just look what Chapin did for Scranton.)

I actually live just over the hill from that very spot AU's talking about. Well, I say "hill", but it's the Santa Monica Mountains. Then again, calling them "mountains" seems inappropriate, when you can look east and see the Rockies, hehe.

has anybody told Norris that he wasn't a real Texas Ranger, I'm sure he just confused reality with wingnuttery!

Now that Bush has crawled back to his pretend-native state, Texas is once again irrelevant, like it should be. Finally, the era of Big Rich is over.

So, do I now need to learn how to shoot?

Every American should know how to shoot. Even limp wristed nancy-boys. That doesn't mean you have to own a weapon. I don't care if you do or not, but once you get the bug you'll either learn that the majority of "gun nuts" aren't spraying bullets down range or you'll buy your first gun.

Either way, so long as you handle the weapon safely, you'll be welcomed as a sister at any range you visit.

Chuck doing his best John Lovett impression: ACTING !!!

However, on a serious note, what about those left wing cells, and the middle-of-the-road cells? They may not want Chuck to be king.

The link to the Beck radio show did not have the Right wing cells in the conversation between Chuck and Glenn--

But it did have Norris' movie that CBS killed in 2001 because of 9/11--

Here is some of that ---

NORRIS: Hey, actually I did a movie like that called President's Man. Listen to this. No one knows about this. But in 2000 I did a movie of the week called President's Man and what I do as President's Man, when the FBI and the CIA can't take care of a situation for the president, I come in and take care of it for him. And so we did one. It was so successful that CBS wanted me to do another one. So I started thinking about a story for another movie and I was talking to Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and I said, Kay, I said, what is the greatest threat we have in America? And she says, our greatest fear is Osama Bin Laden's going to sneak a nuclear device into our country. And I said, oh, really? So I got my writers together. We wrote a story about Osama Bin Laden sneaking a nuclear device into America and hiding it actually in Chicago, which we didn't know at the time, and he calls the president and says, "I want you to release my holy warriors from the 1993 bombing or I'm going to explode this nuclear device in your country." So I get called in --

GLENN: Wait, wait, this is in 2000 you did this?

NORRIS: Yeah, this is in 2000. So anyway, I go to Afghanistan, I kidnap Osama Bin Laden, and I bring him back to the United States for trial. Then during that time -- and then the attorney general's a Muslim as well, Osama, and they get into a debate about the interpretation of the Qur'an and the, you know, the attorney general says the Qur'an talks about tolerance, you know, not war.

GLENN: Did you make this movie?

NORRIS: Oh, yeah. Anyway, so I do the movie, I finally find the nuclear weapon, disarm it at the last minute like Jack Bauer did. I was trying to find the right wire to cut down to two seconds. Anyway, we deliver this movie to CBS on September 7th, 2001.

GLENN: Holy cow.

NORRIS: Then four days later, of course, 9/11 hits. So now CBS doesn't know what to do. You know, the name of it was called Ground Zero was the name of the movie.

GLENN: Has it ever been seen?

NORRIS: No.

GLENN: Do you own it?

NORRIS: CBS got so scared of it, they said, well, we can't release this. You know, it's too prophetic. I said, please, if you are going to release it, if you are ever going to release it, you have to release it now. If you release it at a later date, everyone will think I did a rip-off of 9/11. And they said, oh, we can't do that, you can't do that. So --

GLENN: Do you own the movie, Chuck, or do you own it?

NORRIS: I own it.

GLENN: I'd love to see it sometime.

NORRIS: I'll send it to you.

There is this new movie I'm writing about a nut in Texas who envisions himself president of the Republic of Texas....after they secede from the union....and thousands of sleeper terrorist cells help him do it....it's real exciting and the star is real macho though only about five feet tall.

There is this new movie I'm writing about a nut in Texas who envisions himself president of the Republic of Texas....after they secede from the union....and thousands of sleeper terrorist cells help him do it....it's real exciting and the star is real macho though only about five feet tall.

The Terror of Tiny Town?

I think the decision of Texas seceding was settled in 1865 when they got their ass kicked with the rest of the Confederacy. Any "sovereignty" issues were disolved--if they were an independant republic before the Civil War, they became a conquered nation with a big truckful of STFU for its people after the Civil War.

However, that doesn't mean the United States couldn't expel them if they asked nice enough.

This would be a good time for Texas to discover if all rights come from the people, or if all rights come from the government.

However, that doesn't mean the United States couldn't expel them if they asked nice enough.

Why do you want to see the greatest country in the world broken up, bOoB? Why do you hate America?

Oh, I forgot. There are people who think differently than you and they frighten you. Freedom of speech means freedom to say wha you want to hear. Poor, poor pants pisser.

(What you are looking for right now is in the cabinet above the toilet next to the towels)

Goatman

Ummm--I never said I wanted the country broken up. I'm just trying to see everybody happy. I love America and think thngs are going fine. However there are millions upon millions that don't agree and would like their own country---people like Chuck Norris, FWThom and Eddie---am I a bad guy for agreeing that they should seek happiness? Life is short--why should they be forced to live in a country they hate? Do you think we should kill them like we did back in the Civil War? Is that your solution?

Ummm--I never said I wanted the country broken up.

*scratching head quizzically*

How is taking the red states and having them start their own country as you have advocated not breaking America up?

I never said I wanted the country broken up.

Honestly, bOoB, your lying has become so pathological, it is beyond bizarre. I mean you caome here almost every day for weeks and say to hundredsl, possibly thousands of people either "the red states need to start their own country" or "Give Texas back to Mexico". ANd then you actually say "I never said I wanted the country broken up".

Doesn't it bother you just a little bit to lie lik that? Don't you feel any shame at all? Do you have even a shred of self esteem you would like to protect? I just don't understand the blatant lies. You may as well have come out and said you have never talked about smokestacks on the moon.

You are really, really ill.

Bob says he never wanted the country split up??

Huh??

Now that is newsworthy!

Goatman

America is in its people--not the land it controls. If the people don't want to live America, why would you force them to?

You alway ask questions, and always get answers.

Questions asked of you that you don't answer.

1. I love America and think thngs are going fine. However there are millions upon millions that don't agree and would like their own country---people like Chuck Norris, FWThom and Eddie---am I a bad guy for agreeing that they should seek happiness?

2. Life is short--why should they be forced to live in a country they hate?

3. Do you think we should kill them like we did back in the Civil War?

Sorry, bOoB. You know I leave you behind when you lie. And your lie in post 313 has to be one of the biggest and boldest you have ever told.

You are a loser beyond words.

HOnestly -- how do you justify this lie:

Ummm--I never said I wanted the country broken up.

Did you think no one would notice?

I stand with Chuck Norris. And I stand against BBob, Larrrrry the "joke" mohr and all the other communists. Hey the ruler of USSR said it best in the early 50's. "we will take you from within".

And look what you have now...he is right, its called democrats.

Obama has more spending going in first 40 days than Bush in 7 years. Wow. And these fucking stupid libs on here think he is the messiah.

Its simple. USSR was right....take us from within.

Well, I have news for you fucking socialist/communist fuckhead traitors.

Don't mess with Texas. Bottom Line. These stupid fuckin libs forgot to mention Texas is one of the ONLY states that is running a mother fucking SURPLUS in this horrible economy.

Meanwhile, the HAS-BEEN USA OSUCKA run country is spending your fucking money at a rate of 150 BILLON A DAY since he took office.

You fucking morons are a joke.

I encourage all conservatives to move to Texas and be with me/US. Because when the shit goes down, liberals are going to get the short end of the stick.

I can't wait to see them paying 75% taxes, and waking up to that saying "how the hell did this happen, we are all poor..."

Stupid morons.

And in case any liberal wants to respond, I say to you.

Shut the fuck up, anything you say is worthless.

Kuma

You are a loser beyond words.

Pardon me for butting in but I believe you have it wrong Goatman, sorry. Bob's saying if people aren't happy here, they can do something about it. He's not saying he want's them too. I think you just refuse to see the difference.

Not like the chickenhawks - many on this board who said if Americans were against the war, they could leave. And would have it that way.

Just trying to see you happy Murphy. Wouldn't you be happy in a country with Chuck Norris and few liberals, no abortion rights, no welfare, no China debt, low low taxes, McCain or someone similar as your President, no gay marriage, no Obama, and an all conservative Supreme Court?

If not, I don't understand--maybe you can tell me why you wouldn't want those things---and would rather live with Obama as your President than McCain, and have the libs running things, high taxes, gays all over the place demanding special rights, women killing their babies, and welfare. Tell me why you would choose that country rather than the country Chuck Norris offers.

No actually, Goatman, that was an estimate. It's probably more like 60 or 70, but hey, the evening is still young!

And Bob would be happy in a country that had Cheney in a bunker, smokestacks on every street corner, and curious aliens with extra long index fingers.

I can see how you could envision such a place except for two things....low low taxes and no China debt....especially considering that the King of China debt still resides in Texas.

The dog in this pic is actually jumping backwards - repelled by the smell of Chuck Norris' left foot:

Goatman-

That would be the wingnuts who are talking about screwing themselves out of the USA with this Texas talk- the people this subject is about. I thought you were paying attention.

BTW, the other 49 states would be perfect for the left wingnuts.

Because he is one.

1. I love America and think things are going fine.

BTW, the other 49 states would be perfect for the left wingnuts.

So you also advocate the dissolution of my great country? Perhaps it is you who should leave, not I. I love her and want to keep her intact and safe from idiots who want to divide her.

Then post that link where I say I want two countries.

Are you actually denying that you have never said we need two countries?

WHAT A FUCKING LIAR!!!

Incredible. Really fucking incredible. You are a loser the proportions of which stagger the imagination.

Please, bOoB. Seek help for this pathological lying thing that has consumed you.

So you also advocate the dissolution of my great country?

Chuck Norris is doing a heckuva job enlisting 5' Republicans everywhere to just that cause.

This dog isn't falling for it, although he had to suddenly jump back when he caught a whiff of Norris' feet:

boortz.com

He might call you dummy, but at least he doesn't disqualify your name. There's a difference. You just cant help yourself.

Delusional is a matter of viewpoint and facts. If you cant prove he's wrong, you really dont know for sure- do you? Best to make fun of that you're not sure about. Got it.

Apparently you'd rather keep making a fool of yourself calling him a liar then to try to see it the way he meant it.

If I didn't know better, I'd say you're deeply infatuated with Bob. Maybe it's love!

TN Independent

I came up with the dUmMy variation only after weeks of Goatman caling me boOb in every post. If you look at my homepage and put the dUmmies in context, you will see that Goatman starts the name calling in every instance. Look at Goatmans homepge and see if he ever calls me ANYTHING but boOb. I doubt you will see me calling names very much to other people. Goatman tends to mae things up.

Also, I defy you to get an answer out of Goatman about the antennaes he brings up, or the smokestack on the moon. He just had his ass handed to him about the Smokestack and he still brings it up. I'll probably have to humiiate him again on this thread with the post that he ran from before. But he always runs--never remembers his ass kickings and asks for it again. Ask him what I said about car antennnaes---see if you get an answer.

"So you also advocate the dissolution of my great country? Perhaps it is you who should leave, not I. I love her and want to keep her intact and safe from idiots who want to divide her."

Did I advocate that? Did I say you should leave? I was merely stating that if Norris and his ilk want Texas, the actual Americans would fit nicely in the other 49 states. I didn't start this subject- one of your republican idols did.

one of your republican idols did.

???

I have no idols of any party. bOoB's pathological lying must be rubbing off. I wouldn't get that close to him

Why do you want to see the greatest country in the world broken up, bOoB?

Here we see Goatman moving the bar. He changes the challenge from me saying I WANTED two countries tome saying we NEED two countries. He then tries to cover his tracks with the same old personal attacks that he thinks proves his point.

Facts are, I don't want the United States to split up, but with the hatred I see coming from the right for our country, I see the need for two countries. Goatman simply tries to twist words as usual--or--he simply can't differentiate the diffrence between wantinsomethin to happen and needing something to happen.

Here Gatman--maybe this will help. A person may not WANT an operation taking off their feet because of diabetes---but they NEED that operation if they want to live.

Thanks Bob- Only a decent person would want to set that story straight. Plus, the word 'dummy' doesn't bother me- it actually puts a smile on my face thinking of Fred Sanford.

But I dont have to read the posts. When he repeats the same insults and dribble over and over it's obvious he's not even trying to understand your intent and has nothing of value to say on the topic.

Madlib

Now you've done it. You've disagreed with the great Goatman. You are now a pathological liar, and Goatman is just the psychologist to tell you.

And bOoB's lies just keep on coming. Seek help. I am serious. I am not trying to throw insults. You need help with this lying problem in the worst sort of way, bOoB. You disgrace yourself, people don't take you seriously, you obviously have no self esteem. For you own sake -- seek help be it professional or even a self help book. This pathological daily and extremely bold lying is not healthy by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah, I get called that all the time when I defend gay rights, early term abortion rights, go out against prayer in school, rail against the death penalty, etc.

Goatman- give it up already. You are wasting my led's fluorescent bulb with this line of 'reasoning'. I really think your missing Bob's point. On purpose.

You should stop embarrassing yourself and call it a night.

Goodnight guys- don't waste too much time on this one...

I never said I wanted two countries.

You just don't know when to quit, do you? Are you accusing me of forging this, or what? Do you deny that these are your words?

I'm at a loss for words. Even 'loser' doesn't capture the depths of your depravity, bOoB.

Goatman- give it up already.

Why? Are bOoB's lies becoming too difficult to defend but you blame it on a light? LOL. The only ligh that's shining is the one that says you are defending a very sick mind.

Goatman- Ok- you have several redeeming liberal qualities. Did you vote for Obama?

LOL--you had to go back over a MONTH of my posts to find me in a grammatical mistake. I admit--I used the word WANT, instead of NEED as would have been correct. I'll go and seek an English teacher ASAP help.

Questions asked of you that you don't answer.

1. I love America and think things are going fine. However there are millions upon millions that don't agree and would like their own country---people like Chuck Norris, FWThom and Eddie---am I a bad guy for agreeing that they should seek happiness?

3. Do you think we should kill them like we did back in the Civil War?

Got it- so the only candidate who could win that would legislate according to many of your beliefs you voted against.

I'm guessing you voted third party. If so - good for you. I always have. This was the first election in my life I felt was too important to.

you had to go back over a MONTH of my posts to find me in a grammatical mistake.

*shaking head in sheer disbelief that the lying continues*

Looks like perfect grammar to me.

bOoB, you cannot cover a lie with a lie with a lie with a lie.

Please -- I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but honestly, for the love of god -- seek help! There has to be a deep-seated reason that against all that is sane you keep on lying.

madlib -- my bad. I erroneously got you mixed up in the shuffle

so the only candidate who could win that would legislate according to many of your beliefs you voted against

There was not a candidate who represented me 100%. If I wait for that candidate, I would never get to exercise my right to vote.

I'm guessing you voted third party.

Yes I did. Ralph Nader.

I admit--I used the word WANT, instead of NEED as would have been correct.

You made that 'mistake' several times, bOoB.

No kidding! I agree. Political platforms make me sick.

So you didn't vote? That's cool. Or maybe you voted for the republicans who would try to limit gay rights, stop abortions, push for prayer in schools, advance death penalty etc... Also not representing you 100% plus intent on dissolving the middle class.

Do you think we should kill them like we did back in the Civil War?

Why not? Why not you as well? You're just the flip side of these nuts.

Sorry- didn't get to your last post.

Good on ya. This is the first presidential election out of the past 3 I didn't vote for Nader. It was that important to take it away from the republicans..

Do you think the Jews should've been tried at Nurenburg as well?

Another lie from you. It took you a MONTH to find that mistake.

Goat -- I'll bet you and BBob probably would get along fine if you two met for a beer or two.

Invite BBob to your next Texas Star party (right name ?) and show him your telescopes and what it's like to see the stars and planets up close.

BBob -- have you ever had a chance to ever look through high-quality telescopes used for astronomy like the kind Goat uses? Seeing outerspace other than what's shown on youtube might be a unique experience for you. (no sarcasm intended).

As long as you both stayed mute about politics and BBob didn't insult the State of Texas you'd might even become buddies -- well, at least long enough for two beers. : )

Wrong about that one. I have no respect for Goatman. He's supposedly 53 years old and acts like an adolescent.

Another lie from you.

Hearing you call someone a liar rings more than a little hollow. I saw you say that you wanted two countries four different times before I stopped looking.

It took you a MONTH to find that mistake.

Actually, it took about 5 or fewer minutes.

I have no respect for Goatman.

A liar says he has no respect for me, so that means, what? LOL

You made that 'mistake' several times, bOoB.

I think that 3 times is several times. How many do you think is several? Post two more time I said it then, or be proven a liar yet again. Simple isn't it.

If you found 4 instances in 5 minutes, it should be a quick reposting.

Waiting on you.

Post two more time I said it then,

Sorry, bOoB. No more jumping through your hoops. I mean who the fuck do you think you are? You ask me to show you something. I did, which is very unusual for me because I know that you love making people jumpt through your hoops

So I show you. Then you want me to do it again even when you don't even admit you lied when I showed you the first one? Why, so you can say, "oops, a grammatical error" again? Get real.

or be proven a liar yet again

You're too funny. Again? I'd like to see once! Now it's your turn. I jumped through your hoop, you jump through mine. Link to a lie I told you.

If you found 4 instances in 5 minutes, it should be a quick reposting.

And I'm sure you'd like nothing more than to chuckle as I jump through your hoops just so you can say, "oops, another grammatical error".

SOrry, bOoB. I fell for it once tonight. NOt twice. I'm not that stupid. I'll let you find them. (there are four) If I can do it in 5 minutes, so can you.

Link to a lie I told you.

I didn't think you could. So your 376 is yet another lie. How many is that in this thread? At least 10. that HAS to be a record, bOoB. Congratulations!

(but seriously, seek help. ten whoppers in one thread is without question pathological)

Hearing you call someone a liar rings more than a little hollow. I saw you say that you wanted two countries four different times before I stopped looking.

I'm glad you posted that again.

I had almost digested the profound implications offered therein after the 15th time.

We're over the crest now.

Thanks.

And I won't answer. You are a liar.

Besides, they are stupid questions with obvious answers. That you are too stupid to figure out the obvious is not my problem. Maybe when you get help for the lying thing, the shrink can give tips on figuring out the obvious.

Isn't it bad enough to paint yourself as a pathological liar without painting yourself as a stupid pathological liar?

Besides, it's your turn to jump through the hoops like I did for you. Post to a link where I lied to you or be proven a liar again.

Let's investigate, shall we?

That's why I want two countries.

#161 | Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2009-02-10 03:42 PM

But this simply illustrates why we should form two countries. Conservatives will never be happy with a liberal President, and liberals will never be happy with a conservative Presdent. We are both getting in each others way. It is like having Palestinians and Jews trying to run the same country.

Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2009-03-03 03:53 PM | Reply

His point is that we will never agree, and that this is definitely two countries and should split so that both countries can meet the future with their plans or it, and not have those plans submarined by liberals---or conservatives.

I think the true assault on America came from Bush---America has been under attack from within for the last 8 years---America lost---Bush won---this is two countries. Limbaugh is a big part of the separation, and he welcomes it. So do I.

Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2009-03-02 09:33 AM | Reply

This is two countries. Denial doesnt change a thing. The only progress this country will make is by splitting up. Then the liberal agenda and conservative agendas can both prove their validity.

It is as natural a split as the United States from England---as East from West Germany--as North from South Korea--as Palestine from Israel.

Need proof? No one can give a good reason to stay together. There is no compromise on the issues. This is two countries.

Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2009-02-26 09:13 AM | Reply

Wow, that took a whole 5 minutes. Goatman wins.

oops, forgot #4:

This is two countries. Face facts or get run over.

The Beginning of the Separation of America

It will happen in less than a century. The hatred for liberals spewed out by Limbaugh, Beck, and the rest on an hourly basis is eating away at the foundations of America. Whether there is war or not depends on the acceptance that we are not one country united in a common cause. We are no longer United. No longer have a common cause.

I guess you missed 384, bOoB. PGUP will help you out.

I'm off to bed, bOoB. You wore me out. LOL

Alexandrite

Nowhere in what you posted do I say I want America to be two countries.

I was stating facts. None of the facts I stated were that I wanted two countries. Saying that this is two countries is not the same as me saying that I want two countries. Here, let me spam a bit from upthread, and help you understand the difference between wanting something and needing something.

A person may not WANT an operation taking off their feet because of diabetes---but they NEED that operation if they want to live.

Your post was simply things I have said about differences between liberals and conservatives.

Goatman had one instance, and said he found 3 more. You haven't proven his point. Here is what you should be looking for if you want to help Goatman and you believe him.

That's why I want two countries.

#161 | Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2009-02-10 03:42 PM

Get it? I said I wanted two countries there, and explained I made a mistake and should have said--needed----but Goatman said I said the same thing several times. The phrase you are looking for is "I want two countries." You see---that's the point. Goatman said I said it four times. He showed one. So far, you don't seem to get it. Hope I've cleared things up for you. Three more to go if you believe him. He said it only took him about 5 minutes.

Waiting on you.

Goat is off to bed because he can no longer defend his failed repulsican ideology.

You've talked about 2 america's for what feels like years.

As far as you "wanting" them: Whenever a con disagrees with a liberal govt program or politician, you say "move to or make your own country"(your idiot version of "love it or leave it")

You've been harping on the right to make their own country for so long, it's laughable that you would deny "wanting" them to do it.

And frankly, I've got better things to do than play semantics with a guy who thinks the pyramids are beam weapons, the moon landing was faked, there are smokestacks said moon, and 9-11 was an inside job by the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

"there are smokestacks said moon" = there are smokestacks ON said moon

...with a guy who thinks the pyramids are beam weapons, the moon landing was faked, there are smokestacks said moon, and 9-11 was an inside job...

...And completely exonerates the terrorist who planned and carried out the attacks on 9-11 while accusing innocent men (Ted Olson, Larry Silverstein, Daniel Nigro(look it up)) of conspiracy to commit mass-murder.

Shameless.

And frankly, I've got better things to do than play semantics with a guy who thinks the pyramids are beam weapons, the moon landing was faked, there are smokestacks said moon, and 9-11 was an inside job by the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

Semantics was the point.

The pyramids are not beamed weapons. They are not burial chambers either. They may have been beamed weapons. Semantics. Your weak point.

You have no answer to the Smokestack other than denying what is in front of your face. Let's hear your explanation. Waiting on you.

Alexandrite has a nice cup of STFU

I have consistantly said Bush had nothing to do with the planning of 911. I have said he knew it was going to happen and said why. Points which you don't refute.

And completely exonerates the terrorist who planned and carried out the attacks on 9-11 while accusing innocent men (Ted Olson, Larry Silverstein, Daniel Nigro(look it up)) of conspiracy to commit mass-murder.

Shameless.

So how did Olson receive that phone call? You must know--you wouldn't be talking out your ass would you?

Goat is off to bed because he can no longer defend his failed repulsican ideology.

Actually it had more to do with fulfilling a basic biological need.

Don't flatter yourself, asswipe, to think that listening to the ranings of a lying madman and responding to them is worth missing zzzzs over.

"...And completely exonerates the terrorist who planned and carried out the attacks on 9-11 while accusing innocent men (Ted Olson, Larry Silverstein, Daniel Nigro(look it up)) of conspiracy to commit mass-murder. "Shameless.#398

Then I guess the FBI is also shameless, There's no mention of 9/11 on OBL's most wanted page.

www.fbi.gov

I also would like to know how Olson got 3 impossible phone calls- these being where we got the only info about 'box cutters'. Oh, and I'd love to see the 80 surveillance videos that were taken from around the Pentagon within minutes of the event.

Sorry the evidence is not complete enough for anyone to be so smug about knowing exactly what happened that day and until it is (completely independent investigation), there will always be 100's of questions and plenty of doubt.
