I don't necessarily feel bad for him
I don't feel bad for him at all. I can't.
He marginalized himself by picking a VP candidate that only the bible thumpers and die-hard loyalists could possibly love.
He shot himself in the foot. He had a perfect opportunity to turn his campaign into something positive and get a real message out. Instead, he chose to go negative and be ignored by millions of independant voters.
Here's a hint Republicans. If it's just you versus the democrats, they win hands down. You need independant voters to come to your side and vote with you. Without us, well...how's that minority thing coming?
OK I may get laughed at about this one. If so so be it. But Don't Earmarks stimulate the economies of the particular politicians constituencies?? If this is so then how could earmarks be a bad thing?? Help Me out here.
Well, let's see.
We'll use Jim Clyburn...notoriously porky in my state...
Jim likes to fund pet projects with American tax dollars. Some of the money ends up going to companies or state organizations that his family members work for...

If Republicans were doing this, some folks here would be going crazy with frustration...But alas, it's a democrat. No big deal, right?
And memorials. He loves memorials, but only if he can put his name on them...Not nearly as bad as some other folks in Washington...but he's trying his damnedest to catch up...

This is just one Person, Larry. I'm sure if I looked up Lindsay Graham or anyone else from my state, I could find just as much wasteful spending. Doesn't really matter what their party is. They're drunk and they have your wallet. They'll spend all of your money and you won't even get a sip of the fruity umbrella drink.
