Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, February 24, 2009

In his first speech to a joint session of Congress, President Obama outlined the three priorities of the budget he will present later this week: energy, health care, and education. "Now is the time to act boldly and wisely to not only revive this economy, but to build a new foundation for lasting prosperity," Obama said.

Jindal will be exorcising the poofiness out of a couple of gay GOPpers while Obama speaks, but will deliver the rebuttal, where he will criticize the stimulus package while asking for his cut in unmarked bills.

It was an excellent speech and I'm all tingley. -The Left

Obama will explain how neither he nor anyone in his caninet has the slightest idea on whether the stimulus will work or not and therefore we must act fast.

I wonder if he will make false claims about yellow cake and seat his wife with an Iranian spy???

Exclusive!

I've just received a copy of the speech. It begins;

"Thank you, brothers; and, in the words of that great American poet Ralph Walnut Emerson, you all has my infernal gratitude to be erected president of these here United States."

And after the lecture, Obama will tell us that there will be a test on Friday. But don't worry, he grades on a curbe, can't have too many people getting As while some get Fs.

I wonder if he will seat Rev. Racist beside Rezko or next to Ayers?

It was an excellent speech and I'm all tingley. -The Left

-----

Was it as good for you as it was for me? What an Obamasm!

Everyone will be there, except Justice Ginsburg who will run the government for the next two weeks if something should happen.

Another salient passage:

"There's only two reasons a man will do something - money and glory. Why did George Washington cross the Delaware? Glory! Why did Napoleon go to Waterloo? Glory! And why did I, when I was 12 years old, ride the rapids of the Hudson River on a log when I coulda' been killed? Glory? Naw... just a fool kid!"

I wonder if he will explain why the fuck we are spending $900 million on rebuilding Gaza when our own country is fiscally cornholed

I wonder if he will seat Rev. Racist beside Rezko or next to Ayers?

Nah, Rezko's hosting another fundraiser for Chimpy on account of the gig at the hardware store didn't pan out.

Is he going to share with Congress and the American Public when he expects to finalize his cabinet?

Actually Member, everyone will be there with the exception of AG Holder who will not attend because of his position of 13th in line for the presidency.

Nah, Rezko's hosting another fundraiser for Chimpy on account of the gig at the hardware store didn't pan out.

So, he will be seated next to Ayers then. Thanks!

Is he going to share with Congress and the American Public when he expects to finalize his cabinet?

I wanted to be an Obama Cabinet Secretary (of something or other), but then I realized that I have no tax troubles since I always file on time and never "forget" to report income and other stuff. I am therefore unqualified to serve for this government. What a shame.

I expect some sort of Republican demonstration of opposition to Obama's plans tonight. I hope I'm wrong but they are so upset that they are out of power that nothing would surprise me.

More! Obama proposes to do away with Daylight Savings Time.

"Well, yesterday when it was nine o'clock, my watch was eight o'clock an' I didn't change de time on it. Now since dey stahted dis daylight savin' bizness so dat make my watch two hours off. I's propose we do away wit all dat. What am y'all think? Let's raise da hands and count 'em."

Perhaps he will tell the GOP to either get off their asses and help or get the hell out of the way.

The GOP is barely a political Party at all anymore, and have shown that they don't deserve the kind of consideration he has given them.

Doing away with Daylight Savings would actually be a great idea. What a pain in the ass having to change all the clocks. Let's just stay in Standard Time. Or we could split the difference and go forward half an hour. I think the hero of the left Chavez did this, being half an hour out of sync with normal time zones.

Everything Obama will say will be a transparent lie. He will talk about a "New Era of Responsibility" while he and Congress spend money they don't have in a reckless and irresposible way. He'll talk about "Pay as you Go" while he lets the Treasury prints money. He'll talk about "Hope and Change: while we have none of the above. He will make Stalin's and Mao's lies look like honest mistakes.

Great! Maybe someday he'll end his motivational speaking tour and actually start being a president.

This is shit. This is shinola. -B.O.

This is my ass.... no, wait! It's a hole in the ground! - The GOP

oh yippy. he's been on the tele more than that "head-on" commercial - one of two reasons ours is usually OFF!

I would love it if the Republicans turned their back to Osama Obama when he spoke and gave the network cameras the finger.

What a pain in the ass having to change all the clocks.

#20 | Posted by member2586

Well you can rest easy. Head down to the Walmart and pick up one of them clocks that adjust themselves.

Thank god that crisis is over.

and gave the network cameras the finger.

#27 | Posted by timbci

Why not? They have been giving the American public the finger since their boo boo feelings were hurt by being voted out of power after governing over the biggest collective fuck up ever seen.

#27

So would I. That would be the final act of that Party.

The GOP is barely a political Party at all anymore, and have shown that they don't deserve the kind of consideration he has given them.

What consideration is that? The so called stimulus give away?

"Well you can rest easy. Head down to the Walmart "

WalMart!?

Bbbbbut I thought WalMart was bad! I'll go to a unionized store instead because I want to pay twice as much for the Chinese made gadget you suggest.

-What consideration is that?

Giving into tax cuts in the stimulus bill that didn't get any GOP votes. Bringing them into the WH for meetings. Trying to put 3 of them in his Cabinet....

At least most of the GOP govs appreciated being invited separately to the WH for talks. Many of them are bright enough to ignore the congressional and national GOP.

The GOP is barely a political Party at all anymore, and have shown that they don't deserve the kind of consideration he has given them.

That is so last year, Wissy. 68 percent think your dog is better looking than you.

The GOP used to be a great opposition party in the past. Let's see what happens now.

It's been a long time since I listened to Rush and I couldn't believe it. Today he was quoting Ayn Rand. Where the hell were these anti-statist Republicans during the Bush Admin? And since when are they concerned about the constitution and separation of power. This is the kind of thing they should do wether they are in power or out of it.

The final few word from Obama's speech.

"I'd like to give a shout out to my people in the hood in Chicago!"

That is so last year, Wissy. 68 percent think your dog is better looking than you.

I think you are correct. God only knows how some of these give aways will help the market.

$198 Billion for School Lunch Room Equipment
$540 Million for Indian Health Services
$125 Million for District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority
$600 Million for aquiring motor vehicles with higher fuel economy
$2 Billion for payments to States for the Child Care and Development Block Grants

Well, it's not the 14,000 that the GOP was left with, but it will have to do since they deregulated and preemptive warred it away.

I would guess we are in for about one hour of campaign speech with a whole lot of generalties. Oh, I almost forgot, blame Bush.

The Dow is only up today because of Bernanke's comments.

I've got to pickup a 30-pack. We have a game or "err..oh..ah" scheduled.

Obama should start by asking all those who supported Bush's economic policies to stand up and take a bow.

I'm guessing every rushpublican will suddenly realize they dropped their keys under their seats and disappear from camera view.

Try not to be too disappointed, 'K?

Wasn't the DOW above 12,000 Jan. 2007? You know that little change of majority power.

Great idea, Northy!

Of course, bending over on that side of the aisle is a Risky Business.

Considering they want more money for the banks.

Oh, I almost forgot, blame Bush.

I'm just glad Pelosi is sitting behind him. We'd all be pulling a Bon Scott if he had to look at her and speechify.

"Wasn't the DOW above 12,000 Jan. 2007? You know that little change of majority power."

Then I'm sure you can point to many financial bills written by that new majority, not filibustered by the Republicans in congress, and signed by Bush into law.

Please...cite.

As soon as you prove those spending provisions have nothing to do with people doing jobs.

Look, I don't like overspending, and I didn't when Rs were in charge either (there's where we differ), but I'm not going to pretend people aren't going to be working when these things get done. I've excoriated both parties for lousy fiscal policies. Feel free to link you your condemnation of the record spending under Bush.

"I would also like to know why it is only the rich republicans who benefitted from the Bush tax cuts? Kennedy, Kerry, Buffett..."

Why are you making shit up? Where did I restrict it to Republicans? I was talking about the idiots who slathered over the tax cuts for the wealthy while they were getting a few measly bucks.

"Emanuel...Blagojevich and Obama are cut from the same dirty Chicago cloth."

And you're from Chicago, right? Are we to assume you're also cut from that same cloth?

As usual you make this about you danforth. At least you didn't whine about being called out. Read the question again. As a generalization on Drudge.

Ok, then you're stupid. You took a comment about fools at the lower end of the economic scale and applied it to those on the top of the economic scale. The rich of ALL stripes benefited, to the detriment of the poorer of ALL stripes. Leave it to a partisan hack like yourself to deflect.

The sad part is nobody asked you a fucking thing. Yet you seem to want the attention and camp on others posts. Where did anyone yank your pathetic chain on this thread? I was repsonding to Corky not your attention needing little ass. By all means though continue the fallacy about me disagreeing with you about revenues and tax cuts. Even though I have repeated ad naseum. Maybe you are the type that needs it beaten into your head before you get it. I would be happy to go that route. Used to watch SNL, but I can get the funniest stuff they do like "Dick in a Box" and "Jizz in My Pants"( What? dick jokes are funny.) on Youtube as well as old classics like Tootses the Driving Cat/ Happy Fun Ball/ and Farleys "In a Van down By The River" act or even the Old Suart Smally stuff, you know back when Franken was funny. I love the one with Micheal Jordan!

Sober House with Dr. Drew Pinski is the shit.

man Dr. Drew is the shit period. I used to listen to Loveline when I was delivering pizza while I worked my way through college.

Anyone else remeber the very short lived show on Comedy Central called "Thats My Bush" by Matt Parker and Trey Stone. I always thoguht that was way funnier of a concept than the show with BUsh and CO. as babies.

Got-yeah, they dumped that right after 9-11. Needed some tuning up but they should have brought it back in 2003, after both his wars went to shit. By then most people were laughing at him anyways....

I know what you are referring to, of course, but I do not see Obama as a black man -- correctly so, in fact since he is half white and half black.

So if not the "D", then what? Not his race certainly since he is half white.

Or what percentage black does "chimp" become acceptable? 1/4? 1/8? 1/16? Depends on political affiliation? Tell me, Danno.

"dan the next black man you see, walk up to him and call him a chimp."

Sorry...I'm not a Republican.

Fuck it...It's Chimpy II's turn, and nobody's gonna deny him. Hell, he's put us another trillion in debt in the first month. Chimpy I ain't got nuthin' on him...

no, but he does know that obgyn's can't practice their love

"but I do not see Obama as a black man"

Again, get a history book. Everyone prior in our history has.

This guy is so good. I'd like to have one of you tighties who owns a business tell me you wouldn't hire him in an instant, given the chance.

"Another Republican talking point heard from."

And the Republicans wonder why they can't attract minority votes in any numbers... and why they keep losing elections.

Hehehehe... might want to run that one by CalifChristine, Larry.

;0)

Hans

he wants to "save the world from the ravages of climate change"

HUH?

Goatman mustn't have heard of the one drop rule.

Yes I have, Larry, and it's bullshit. We all have the same common ancestors (whether you believe in Adam and Eve or evolution) so we all have at least "a drop" of the same blood in common. Therefore, it wasn't right to call Bush a chimp.

Nice try, Larry.

Where is Bill, Still at Hooters and miss his ride?

Sorry Dan, did not mean to disrubt your........

I'll bet Hillary's as has enough gravitional pull for 2 moons.

Now Hans,

They have their very own Hindu. I think he's speaking later. I'm kinda wondering how big Jindal's ears are.

Again, get a history book. Everyone prior in our history has.

At what point do we move past history?

At what point is it no more or no less offensive to refer to Bush as a chimp and Obama as a chimp?

I would have thought that Obama winning the presidency would, in itself, eradicated some of this. Unfortunately, I thought wrong.

Seriously, when does it end? Actually, let's look at it another way, who is it, specifically, that continually makes race a front-running issue?

Therefore, it wasn't right to call Bush a chimp.

Nice try, Larry.

Eleanor Roosevelt

"Small minds discuss people."

So what were you saying about a chimp? Where would that fall on the Roosevelt scale?

aaaaaaaaawwwww that hurts, Are you the spelling/grammar nazi tonigh?

Intellectual dishonesty at it's finest. You fucking right wingers have t totasllyu lost any credibility at all. Time to sink JeffJ. I love You as a friend but politically You are a dried up prune.

Larry

Seriously, when does it end?

Well, if a black man runs as the Republican candidate for president in 2012, it will end in 2012. "Chimp" will be in vogue again.

"At what point do we move past history?"

Are you joking?

What do you want...racist cartoons to be celebrated?

A better question...when do we get to become ignorant of history.

If you want a serious answer: let's at least give it as many years as we gave bigotry. Fair enough?

so in conclusion, you're fucked but you need to get educated and get a job, ya fucking bum, and stop living in your mom's basement....

and go spend some money

don't know if it will work or not, but we must act fast!!!

"aaaaaaaaawwwww that hurts, Are you the spelling/grammar nazi tonigh?"

Ya gotta love the self-retorting retort.

Larry,

Why don't you actually address my questions/comments?

The Left's version of race-relations is completely contrary to what Dr. Martin Luther King posited in his I Have a Dream speech.

Why is that?

Come on goatman, you know that he'll just be pelted with Oreos everytime he speaks. BHO is the biggest empty suit I have seen. Free education for all, maybe my kids can get into the same school as his one day.

Graham of SC: (thinking) 'that new page boy is kinda cute'.

So what were you saying about a chimp?

It's clearly noted in post 176

Where would that fall on the Roosevelt scale?

???

If I had called anyone a chimp, clearly it would fall under small minds.

"High school stuff, hans."

Ummmm fraid it's not but nice try at trying to justifying tyhe unjustifiable. You right wingers have a rather long history of this. There is a huge difference between calling a White dude a Monkey and a Black dude the same thing. If You do not understand that then I can not help You JeffJ. When ones behavior is that of a monkey it's OK but when one s skin color is associated with a monkey it's NOT ok JeffJ. There is a huge difference between the two if You were anywhere near intellectual honesty to admit to it.

Larry

End the no-bid contracts!!!!!

holy shit sell Haliburton and KBR!!!

where's my brokers number

That should put some lead back into the lefties pencils.

"quick go and run to your mommy and tell her you caught a typo/spelling mistake."

In the meantime, read up on the first rule of blogging: when insulting someone's intelligence, try not to spell it "stoopid".

So, Mr. Fickle (tm) has returned.

Any takers on when CalifChristine will return?

Hans

The check is in the mail... Isn't that one of the 3 biggest lies? yup, number 1.

1. The check is in the mail.
2. Don't worry the government will help.
3. Honest honey I won't come in your mouth.

What do you want...racist cartoons to be celebrated

You know what is racist, danforth? To call a man who is half one race another race.

Obama is not a black man. Yet you and too many other people insist that he is. That sucks. He is a man who happens to be half white and half black. Why do people keep calling him black?

and don't give me that one drop bullshit. That's a copout.

"Republicans are all a twitter at the thought that he inherited the deficit. imagine that!"

Someone doesn't know Bush's fiscal year ends September 30th.

What do you want...racist cartoons to be celebrated?

First off, it wasn't a 'racist' cartoon and you fucking know it.

Secondly, when Ted Rall caricatured Condi Rice as Aunt Jemimah your silence was deafening, you fucking hack!

A better question...when do we get to become ignorant of history.

I am not suggesting, not even for a moment, we become ignorant of history. In fact, I think that teaching of history and civics in our public school system is sorely lacking. In fact, on that very subject, when in the fuck do we actually celebrate just how far we HAVE come in the last half-century regarding race relations in this country? Does that ever factor into any historical discussion? EVER??? Or is ALL a focus on the worst aspects of racism?

let's at least give it as many years as we gave bigotry.

That's fucking stupid, and you know it.

JeffJ let's put it this way. If I am jumping up and down climbing trees and eating bananas You would have every right to call Me a chimp/Monkey because My behavior is as such of a monkey. Now if I were Black and You called Me a monkey simply because of the color of My skin You would be wrong to declare I was a monkey/Chimp. Do You not see the difference?? I know You are smarter than this JeffJ. You have just become hyperpartisan as of late.

Actually, I DO understand the difference. My question was rhetorical - at what point do we NOT notice a difference? I would hope that is something we could ALL strive toward; however I don't think it's something that the left will ever be capable of, regardless of practical circumstances.

"Does that ever factor into any historical discussion? EVER???"

Not when one is blithely calling a black man a chimp. And yes, there is a difference. I wish it wasn't like that, but I'm not going to ignore America's history. Nor will I spit in its face.

Then you must have missed Carter?

Chris Mattthews is on the CNN set with a bag of ice on his groin. Not that it's a big deal....

I doubt Barry has ever been to GSO to visit the counter.

I heard a lot of "We need to" "we will" and variations on that theme. We all know about a broken economy that needs drastic changing and fixing. Much the same applies to the health industry, the auto industry and education plus others. Great, every president gives that same speech at his first Address.

The question, not answered on all of these subjects remains, HOW?

The first and worst problem facing this country and most others is a badly shaken and equally badly broken economy. A stimulus package is a bare aspirin. We need solid economical changes to keep this kind of fiasco from recurring. We may not see astronomical growth in a slower climate but, it will be a safe one.

I heard much of needs but little of a direction for some cures.

"Then you must have missed Carter?"

No, I experienced Carter. He didn't ride herd over a financial meltdown, multiple wars, several SEC Ponzi schemes, a near doubling of the national debt, and the largest debt-to-revenue ration in our nation's history.

But you must've missed Dubya.

Do not get me wrong, Bush was a failure, but you people have to get over it and look forward. Obama is not the country's savior yet. Get up off your knees and ask the hard questions. From what I read in most of the posts ere is that many of you have not lived through many Presidential terms as adults and actually felt the repercussions of them.

But as long as you are happy with your version, I'm happy with the real one which clearly shows you as the loser.

Incredible you treat them all as if they are so stupid, especially since they are you own party members. We aren't that stupid, hans, not the republicans or your fellow democrats. We all know when I said what I did. And it wasn't on this thread.

I try not to call names, but you really are a loser grasping at straws hans. I feel sorry for you to be so desperate.

You may have the last word on this thread, too.

(That is THIS thread, hans -- but I'm sure you'll drag it into another again. *sigh* )

But if it works for you, it works for me, hans.

When is the coon-ass curry muncher going to rebut?

"But you must've missed Dubya."

Effective speech. Marginalized the Neanderthal wing of the Republican Party even more than it is. Now let's see Jindal give a demonstration of flint-knapping.

Is that why there were so many more Democrats for the Civil Rights amendment than Republicans?? Is that Your granite slab to stand upon JeffJ??

I don't define my beliefs based upon the platforms of a political party, Larry.

I have in the past voted Republican because, on the whole, they better represent my views than does my only other viable choice - the Democratic party.

Having said that, the Republican party continues to alienate itself from me. I am strongly considering dropping my registration to the Republican party in favor of being a registered independent. Going further, I am growing increasingly sick of voting for what I believe to be the lesser of 2 evils. I think it was Spud, earlier today, who said that voting should be between good and better; not between bad or worse. Lately, I feel that the latter is the case.

I've always been a pragmatic voter. Even on that front, 3rd party is looking more attractive these days. As it stands now, true conservatives don't have mainstream representation in this government. The GOP has grossly strayed. A 3rd party-vote only further marginalizes the GOP in the short-term, but perhaps is just what the party needs in the long-term.

Let's look to history - Eugene Debs (Socialist) garnered over a million votes while sitting in a jail cell, thanks to Wilson. From a historical perspective, it can be argued that FDR saw a public desire for Socialism-lite within our public and acted accordingly.

Maybe the GOP needs a similar boot in the can today. The next best option is Libertarian. Personally, I think Libertarianism is too rigid for my tastes. However, perhaps a growth in Libertarian ranks will push the GOP toward where it needs to be.

Newsworthy, Danforth...

Notice Jindal mentions insurance companies not at all in association with medical freedom of choice.

Something about the way Pelosi was standing too quickly and doing that high hands clapping really bugged me. Kept distracting me from a really good speech. Reminded me of a teacher instructing her students to begin clapping, had a condescending feel to it. I don't know. I like what Obama had to say, I just wish someone else had been behind him.

Nice job by Obama. I liked how it ended with the resilience of the plucky kid from South Carolina. I hope this is remembered as the "we are not quitters" speech, because that simple sentiment is a great expression of our country's ability to grow stronger through adversity.

I do wonder where all the money's coming from, though. Good lord we're spending a lot.

"Hi, I represent about 36 percent of the public, the GOP who disapprove of Obama's plan, mostly only right-wing southerners at this point, you know, people who have been culture warred into voting the best interests of the top 2 percent of the population." - Jindal

Conservative David Brooks on Jindal.

"Stale "government is the problem" philosophy is a form of nihilism for the Republican Party, A disaster of the Party."

Whether a third political party is needed or workable seems to hinge on one point for me. If it is based on all of the past parties, it will and should fail.

It is time to stop beating the same drum and get a new instrument. One that works and plays out for US. You know Us. We the People. Until the people are the ones being worked for and played for, we can not afford MOS. We have had this and it just doesn't work.

I've a confession to make:

When I was in the Navy, we had a port o' call in Hong Kong. This was at the height of the Saturday Night Fever craze. All the sailors were getting those wonderful Hong Kong tailors to make them leisure suits. Even though I was one of the last hippies before joining the service, I fell into the trap and had a white one made with a blue shirt. I can't remember what it cost. But I remember it fit me perfectly. However, I am proud to say the only time I wore it was at the final fitting at the tailor's shop. But I am still a little bit ashamed for having ever been fitted for it in the first place.

Work with me.

Just a day before President Barack Obama gives Congress a blueprint for the upcoming 2010 budget year, the House is taking up a massive $410 billion spending bill wrapping together the budgets for a dozen Cabinet departments through next September.

The big increases including a 21 percent boost for a popular program that feeds infants and poor women and a 10 percent hike for Section 8 housing vouchers for the poor represent a clear win for Democrats who spent most of the past decade battling with President George W. Bush over money for domestic programs.

Taxpayers for Common Sense, a budget watchdog group, counted 8,570 pet projects totaling $7.7 billion inserted into the bill by lawmakers. The so-called earmarks include $22 million for an addition for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, dozens of grants to states and counties to battle methamphetamine, and a new $250,000 siren for St. Paul, Minn., to warn residents of tornadoes and other emergencies.

with no one to stop the liberals this is just a drop in the ocean.

Considering the amount of money he's throwing at the problem, it should be very clear in 2 years what he's fixed. He's a one term President.

Snoozer of a speech. I could've written it, given what I figured he was going to say. I'll sum up: we're going to spend trillions of dollars on "green" energy, paid for by carbon caps on companies that will guarantee their move to countries that don't have them. Then we're going to spend a couple of trillion more on health care, paid for by leaving Iraq.

Then we're going to try to cut our outrageous deficit spending in half, sometime in the next decade.

Hint: if Nancy Pelosi starts jumping up and down, you know there's a big cash register ringing somewhere. And "nobody says no to Joe"? Godalmighty. Joe Biden is the biggest retard in the room. Yesterday he was asking for the phone number to Recovery.gov. What a dumbass.

Aren't you the very same person who talks incessantly about how Dubya looks, is looking, has looked, etc? Lots of crazy people have issues that manifest themselves in their mannerisms & body language. Jerky, wild-eyed, nervous, twitchy, these are not things that foster confidence & trust. Everytime she's on TV she looks like she's half-way into a bottle of something prescribed. Her overwhelming urge to kiss BO's ass notwithstanding, she seems to let all those "unfair" discussions about her jet get to her. If it's valid, why?

"Come on, don't embarrass yourself with posts like that, you can do better"

And YOU can do better than to constantly ask people to do things that you are either unwilling or unable to do yourself.

At least I didn't say she looks like a chimp.

No shit - the idea of spending money on the health care of American citizens instead of bribes to Sunni warlords is ludicrous! Again, our resident sage RightIs helps us understand what our priorities should be.

Oh and by the way, I'm sure no other kids than black kids wrote the President but we see who gets on TV don't we? RACIST! Call Al Sharpton!

This kid wants to be the first female president. You better have a back up plan honey because the hatred of Palin (or any conservative female period) & the general scariness of Pelosi & Hillary Clinton will ensure there isn't a woman president in that child's lifetime.

Any worry I might have had that Jindal was a serious threat to Obama in 2012 was allayed last night, big time. What a putz.

"Aren't you the very same person who talks incessantly about how Dubya looks, is looking, has looked, etc?"

ER...no. I don't remember commenting on his looks, his ideas or actions yes but not his looks.

HATEBIGGOV if you are happy with your post based on Pelosi's style of applauding it's fine with me.
You should know though that standing and applauding is a pretty longstanding tradition for state of the union speeches. If Nancy had not done it that would be noteworthy but continuing the tradition is not.

Wow. You have got to be the most cynical and consistently negative poster in the history of the DR. What is a life like where you hate anything and everything, and are so invested in your vitriol that you can't see anything past your own pessimism, doom, and gloom?

I take issue with that. As long as these retards are running the legislature and executive branch, and as long as I'm posting here, I'm the most negative poster. And I AM invested in pessimism, gloom, and doom. You should see my short positions.

LOL! Maybe if B.O. started charging, he actually could cut the deficit in half....

"...and I was the only one in America with a calculator, who realized you can't pay for anything when the net "savings from leaving Iraq" is zero."

I never said that the savings from leaving Iraq would pay for anything. No, I'm a firm believer that taxing rich people is how we pay for things in this country and I'm glad to see the President seems to agree. Say good bye to low capital gains tax rates, say hello to higher income tax rates for those earning over $250,000. And just remember when they get their bills and start whining I'll be giggling. I haven't got one cell in my body that sympathizes with them.

So here's where the flock of republican tools are today.

I don't know if Obama's plan will work or not, but I'd like to hear wisgod's (and the other tools') excuses if it does.

Those guys are f-ing hysterical these days. Times are changin', and they are fading into a near-hysterical irrelevance.

I would tune in more, but I'm tired of reading the same old horseshit time after time.

Monthly visits should do the trick, I think.

What's ludicrous is the idea that we can pay for it by pulling our troops out of Iraq, and shipping them to Afghanistan. It's even more ludicrous that it was an applause line, and I was the only one in America with a calculator, who realized you can't pay for anything when the net "savings from leaving Iraq" is zero.

#496 | Posted by rightisright at 2009-02-25 09:22 AM

Show me where Obama, or anyone in his administration, is suggesting putting all the troops from Iraq into Afghanistan, douchebag, and I'll leave you and your calculator alone. But if you can't, then you can take your little calculator and stuff it up your crowded ass.

"Wow. You have got to be the most cynical and consistently negative poster in the history of the DR. What is a life like where you hate anything and everything, and are so invested in your vitriol that you can't see anything past your own pessimism, doom, and gloom?"

You're kidding right? All I keep hearing is that it's the end of the world isn't it if we don't buy every bullshit social program & policy the left is selling under the guise of stimulating the economy so what's there to be happy about?

I'm happy but cautious. Farting rainbows when you don't believe what you're selling is a lib thing. I'm a realist. Realism is not pessimism. I'm not gloom & doom. I do very well & have a healthy dose of sarcasm & smart-ass to get me through the day.

When I hear you calling the left on their "investment in their vitriol" I'll take that seriously & believe you're question comes from a place of seeking an answer as opposed to sticking it to someone who doesn't think like you & diminishing their opinion.

I don't know if Obama's plan will work or not, but I'd like to hear wisgod's (and the other tools') excuses if it does.

FACT CHECK: Obama's words on home aid ring hollow
Feb 25, 3:15 AM (ET)
By CALVIN WOODWARD and JIM KUHNHENN

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama knows Americans are unhappy that the government could rescue people who bought mansions beyond their means.

But his assurance Tuesday night that only the deserving will get help rang hollow.

Even officials in his administration, many supporters of the plan in Congress and the Federal Reserve chairman expect some of that money will go to people who used lousy judgment.

A look at some of his assertions:

OBAMA: "We have launched a housing plan that will help responsible families facing the threat of foreclosure lower their monthly payments and refinance their mortgages. It's a plan that won't help speculators or that neighbor down the street who bought a house he could never hope to afford, but it will help millions of Americans who are struggling with declining home values."

THE FACTS: If the administration has come up with a way to ensure money only goes to those who got in honest trouble, it hasn't said so.

Defending the program Tuesday at a Senate hearing, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said it's important to save those who made bad calls, for the greater good.

OBAMA: "Regulations were gutted for the sake of a quick profit at the expense of a healthy market. People bought homes they knew they couldn't afford from banks and lenders who pushed those bad loans anyway. And all the while, critical debates and difficult decisions were put off for some other time on some other day."

THE FACTS: This may be so, but it isn't only Republicans who pushed for deregulation of the financial industries. The Clinton administration championed an easing of banking regulations, including legislation that ended the barrier between regular banks and Wall Street banks. That led to a deregulation that kept regular banks under tight federal regulation but extended lax regulation of Wall Street banks. Clinton Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, later an economic adviser to candidate Obama, was in the forefront in pushing for this deregulation.

Don't confuse the libtards with the facts.

Interesting "Fact Check" that doesn't present any real facts.

"THE FACTS: If the administration has come up with a way to ensure money only goes to those who got in honest trouble, it hasn't said so."

So it doesn't say they haven't come up with a plan, just that the writers haven't heard about it. Sounds like speculation rather than fact.

"THE FACTS: This may be so, but it isn't only Republicans who pushed for deregulation of the financial industries."

Re-read what Obama said. He didn't lay blame as to who did it, he just said "regulations were gutted", a true statement.

Seems like a pretty lame attempt to find fault where there really isn't any issue.

"Wow. You have got to be the most cynical and consistently negative poster in the history of the DR. What is a life like where you hate anything and everything, and are so invested in your vitriol that you can't see anything past your own pessimism, doom, and gloom?"

Jindal srikes out, according to FOX:

BRIT HUME: "The speech read a lot better than it sounded. This was not Bobby Jindal's greatest oratorical moment."

NINA EASTON: "The delivery was not exactly terrific."

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: "Jindal didn't have a chance. He follows Obama, who in making speeches, is in a league of his own. He's in a Reagan-esque league. ... [Jindal] tried the best he could."

JUAN WILLIAMS: "It came off as amateurish, and even the tempo in which he spoke was sing-songy. He was telling stories that seemed very simplistic and almost childish.

Why is the GOP so afraid to use the Mittster? He's the closest they've got to anybody who can run a business and they ignore him. Dobson still in control or what?

NG3

Conservative David Brooks on Jindal.

"Stale "government is the problem" philosophy is a form of nihilism for the Republican Party, A disaster for the Party."

"Hi, my name is Bobby Jindal and I represent about 36 percent of the public, the GOP who disapprove of Obama's plan, mostly only right-wing southerners at this point, you know, people who have been culture warred into voting the best interests of the top 2 percent of the population."

Ah force, a libs version of choice. I'm OK with what I say so you don't have to force me to do shit there Dad.

Owning your words only applies to people who have their own thoughts. Hans is a drone who only regurgitates what he's told or what he read on some website what that supports what he already believes.

Wrong. It was "Wow, your dick's a lot bigger than dad's!"

I listened to him - what Obama says he says very well -- too bad most of what he has to say is a crock!

Hi, my name is Bobby Jindal and I represent about 36 percent of the public, the GOP who disapprove of Obama's plan,

No Pyush, you represent about 20% of the public, the same percentage who believe the Flintstones was reality TV. Now go back and pray to shiva that the other 80% stops laughing at your performance.

Ya notice that the Rushpublicans were getting messages on their blackberries and then started standing up to applaud Obama? Apparently their focus groups were telling them the same things the polls said. They were on the wrong side of history.

Jindal will be exorcising the poofiness out of a couple of gay GOPpers while Obama speaks, but will deliver the rebuttal, where he will criticize the stimulus package while asking for his cut in unmarked bills.

And how much are the Democrats getting.

I guess it's ok for Democrats to line their pockets, huh?

Hi, my name is Bobby Jindal and I represent about 36 percent of the public, the GOP who disapprove of Obama's plan,

#570 | Posted by northguy3

Oops. Jindal represents the majority of Americans who think Obama is full of crap on the Stimulus bill.

Why are you trying so hard?

Obama and the Democrats in Congress really screwed the pooch on this one. Whay are you trying to defend it? They fucked up!!!

I think you mean the increasingly diminishing minority who think Obama is full of crap on the stimulus bill. Or did you miss the latest public opinion numbers?

San-how many times do I have to say it-don't apply reality to righties rants-it makes them break out in hives. 80% is just barely anybody, just like a trillion dollars in Iraq is barely more than 40 billion.

Why are you trying so hard? Why are you so scared of Jindal?

Like 80% of the Huffy Post is lies and conjecture.

Can you really point to a Huffy Post article that is 100% fact? More like 80% lies.

Didn't think so.

OMG! If you go on the Huffy Post, they are so freaken scared of jindal, they are relectless in the the negative attempts against this guy.

Why do Noble White Libs get upset when a brown guy is conservative?

Do you Noble White Libs want your darkies to be poor and beholden to you?

I seriously doubt anybody is afraid of Jindal. I love it! Just like Sarahbear, more of them the better.

Bocainik,

All we can do is wave our arms and well "run toward the light". you don't have to listen. It's your choice.

Liberals are racist and mysognistic, they hate good people and elevate filth.

For a liberal, anyone who beleives in god and country is a threat, i.e. Palin and Jindal, while corrupt gay pedophiles (Bawney Fwank) and shrill harpies who eat fetuses (Stretch Pelosi), are heros.

A liberal fits one or more of four areas;

1. Diminshed in mental capacity (retarded or insane).

2. Willfully ignorant.

3. Brainwashed.

4. Evil

Most are all four.

"Liberals ... they hate good people..."

I don't hate you, Rex.

Hans

i just cut a smelly one

"For a liberal, anyone who beleives in god and country is a threat"

I believe in God,(big G dipsmack) I fear our country has headed in in the shitter and I believe your strawman argument is old and tired. Question...have you ever talked someone out of having an abortion in your life? I respect a woman's right to choose over the gov't controlling her body, but I have also saved two lives by using my conscience. I didn't have to wave a sign or carry a bloody baby-doll around my neck to prove it.

Go to hell asshole!

were the two lives you saved terrorists

You know, that's almost fighting words. Do you consider an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy living in California and Ohio respectively a terrorist? You are a seriously sick fuck. For any and all the things I've done in life that may have been wrong, I know in my heart I've done more good on this earth than bad for this reason. I doubt you can say the same.

well good for you now go fuck yourself

I see you are of the "compassionate conservative" tripe, or troll as it would seem. Like I said, you are a sick fuck.

BTW It's getting dark, don't you have a church to bomb?

Rex-keep saying that lame-ass shit. Worked real well for McToast/Falin last November.

There are still several House and Senate seats, as well as Governorships, the Dems would love to have.

Bocaink you seem to have some serious control issues.

I never mentioned your name, or anyone else's name in my statement of fact, yet somehow you have related my diagnosis of liberalism to a 8 and 11 year old child.

You are also very angry and using profanity towards me when, on the surface, you had nothing to do with my post.

I think your own conscious is telling you that you suffer from one or more of the symptoms of the illness defined as liberalism listed above.

Here is a question for you Bocaink, who would you rather that 8 and 11 year old spend time with, Bawney Fwank and Pelosi, or Palin and Jindal?

Northguy, I loved your racist posts on Governor Jindal.

Thank you for providing supporting evidence on my statement of fact.

no church to bomb I just like to rile a phony like you

well good for you now go fuck yourself

Now my keyboard smells like beer. Thanks!

I would prefer an 8 or 11 year old child to look up to their parents, not politicians.

And there is nothing phony about me. Flawed, sure, phony, hardly.

Actually Rex, your drivel about God and Abortion does affect me personally. It's a factually-void strawman. At its core it is libelious bullshit spewing from your apparent idol, Michael Weiner.

Obviously you are seriously mentally ill Bocaink, both with control issues and paranoid delusions.

The mentally ill part is your interjection of two fictitious children into my statement of fact, and the delusional aspect is thinking I care about your opinion.

I hope you have a caretaker that can get you the help you need.

Almost 600 postings and not one single rightie has explained why the Rushpublican fiscal plan is better.

Or even what the Rushpublican plan is.

Funny that.

LOL!!!

Some people NEVER get it!

How about cut spending and don't raise taxes.

Balance the budget.

Go after the crooks in the Bush Administration who stole $triilions in the last 6 months of his term.

corky 14000 is nothing near what clinton left.

You can "we" all you want.

It's my money your taking and giving away you loser.

Hey Christian wanna be president, want to be an example, you and all your crooks do your term for no pay.

Yea...I didn't think so.

"Why are you so scared of Jindal?

#575 | Posted by Eddie at 2009-02-25 06:01 PM"

Ha ha ha. I was mildly concerned about this "Jindal" chap I read about. But then I saw him speak. Now I want to work for him, to make sure he is the GOP candidate in 2012, so Obama won't have to work very hard or spend much money for his reelection.

How about cut spending and don't raise taxes. So you're 95% on Board, thanks to Obama's tax cuts in the package?

Balance the budget. Gonna be difficult, but Obama says he's gonna cut the deficit in half by 2012. Not holding my breathe, but as long as he doesn't set as many records as Dubya, that'll still be an improvement, so you're two for two on board.

Go after the crooks in the Bush Administration who stole $triilions in the last 6 months of his term.
Amen, hopefully that's what the Congressional Dems are doing. But with Dubya claiming executive privilege for everybody down to the illegal who washed the limos, could be tough.

But, overall, Eddie, you seem to be on Obama's side.

Good man.

"Now I want to work for him, to make sure he is the GOP candidate in 2012, so Obama won't have to work very hard or spend much money for his reelection."

I kinda like Sarah! for the role of designated punching bag in 2012, but on the other hand, who's going to vote for a secret Hindu?

The (Democrats' Wet) Dream Ticket

I'll bet Lokisfur's already trying to foist these on the Boobus Amiercanus crowd. (Thanks, Mr. Mencken!)

Nulli: a Palin/Jindal GOP ticket would be a wet dream for progressives everywhere.

Monte,

Is your derision toward Jindal based upon anything more than his poorly delivered speech the other night?

If yes, can you expound?

"spend much money for his reelection."

He may not have to but he will. He likes to spend money or haven't you noticed?

LOL :)

JeffJ - Just that speech, and the comparison of how Obama did when he was put in the same position. Oh, and the fact that the supporters and some members of his party are undergoing a full-blown schism.

Hatie - I've noticed how many individuals want to give him money to show their support of him and the policies he espouses. Impressive, ain't it?

Now get to work, goldbricker, before we make a thread about your goldbricking ways like we had to do to Rob.

But, overall, Eddie, you seem to be on Obama's side.

Good man.

I want Obama to succeed. I had high hopes going into Jan 21st. But, after the last couple of weeks, I am very disappointed.
