Many folks think that Obama is a genie.
They go to Town Halls and ask for the material riches that he promised them when he was campaigning. Remember how many of his constituency declared he would distribute largess. Well, he will. "From each according to his abilities. To each according to his needs." Karl Marx reiterated by Barack Obama.
It's contrary to the ideas of the founding fathers, who thought a country in which people could vote themselves money at the expense of others, was doomed.
Well, "the ask and thou shalt receive crowd" is getting its rewards through surrogates initially, and then when the process gathers steam, they'll receive it themselves.
Ms Henrietta asked for a kitchen, a bathroom, and a car, and lo and behold, she did receive the same. Or did she? It develops that after Ms Henrietta and her adult son, Corey, declared that they became homeless and continued in this situation. Surprisingly after this period of homelessness began, they received $47,000 from the sale of a property, which they did not use to address their "homeless" situation. And they own other real property. Remarkable gall.
Now a homeboy, who has worked at McDonald's for four years and is supposedly going to college, wants the genie to insure him greater benefits. What is it? More money. Hotter women. Faster horses. Better whiskey. Sure. And another homey, who is unemployed, wanted his $1100 per month unemployment insurance supplemented so that he would receive the same $3400 he did while he was working. Yeah.
Where is all of this money going to originate? Will it be owned to anyone, or will the genie just create it out of nothing, so that it won't be necessary to pay it back?
Where do the maestros of the Town Hall meetings go to round up the worthies such as Ms Henrietta, and the other folks, who can cast a real pall over the country as if they are "typical" of people and their situations today reflect the state of the country, and the people who inhabit it? Really?
I love Ms Henrietta. She's a survivor, entrepreneurial in using her assets and talents to advance herself albeit at the cost to others. Ms Henrietta refused an $11 per hour job since subsistence in our great country is available to idlers from other sources, and her son Corey, refused job retraining. After all, this is the land of milk and honey.
Ms six kids and then octuplets born, 14 in all, and relying on the foolishness of the American people for support are another case in point. Medical care, what is it, approximating $1 million, and Food Stamps, and disability payments for life to her impaired offspring, and yet this country will care for her and them instead of employing euthanasia, or if she is indeed crazy, locking her up for life after sterilizing her.
The people of this country deserve what they get. I'm one of them. But at least I'm not complicit in condoning the programs and practices.
