Israel recently used White Phosphorus again in its attack on Gaza. This is a chemical weapon, which kill indiscriminately. Chemical weapons were used as a pretext to invade Iraq. It was a line repeated by William Safire and Judith Miller of the the New York Times. As it turns out Iraq didn't have any chemical weapons. But the US media had a frenzy trying to claim that they did.

Israel uses them freely and the press doesn't even mention t in the US.

After a bit of digging, I was able to find this in the Official UN-Approved Guide to Insurgency and Counter-Insurgency:

Suicide bombing is okay, as long as you don't wrap the bomb in shrapnel and clearly announce yourself as a suicide bomber in the language spoken by your targets, giving all civilians a minimum of 30 seconds to exit the area. White phosphorus is okay, as long as the remains of the dead are charred to the point where you're not sure whether or not they were even human to begin with. Blockading food, water, and medical supplies is okay, as long as doing so creates enough corpses for your enemies to eat once they get hungry enough.

It isn't an effective campaign other than to goad the IDF into coming into Gaza and stomping around for a bit. The advice I would give to all of the humanitarian hand wringers out there worrying about the "women and the children" is this.

Suicide bombs are permissible so long as they are only detonated in areas where the body count will be the greatest, night clubs and restaurants are suggested especially if small children are inside. In order to be legal however the bomber must be out of uniform and yell Allah Akbar real loud 2 seconds prior to detonation.

Rocket Missal and Mortar attacks are permissible so long as the target is civilian and not military, also all weapons must be fired from civilian areas, UN headquarters or at least from underneath your wife's dress while she is holding your children this

The demographics of Arab fertility in Gaza will only result in more intense crises unless the UN stops treating the people there as refugees who must be supported in place.
