Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Senator Edward Kennedy, who is ill with brain cancer, collapsed at the Inauguration Day luncheon honoring President Obama, casting a pall over what had been a glorious celebration. But hours later, the chairman of neurosurgery at the Washington Hospital Center said Kennedy had suffered a seizure from "simple fatigue" and was awake and "feeling well."

I hope Teddy's affairs are in order...

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

I just heard president obama killed Sen Byrd too. he must have finally heard about the Klan thing.

seems everyone is getting sick there.

seriously though, I do hope they are okay.

Seems Senator Byrd too had to leave with medical troubles. I just hope for the best for their families. Maybe its time for both of them to step down, spend what time they have left with their families. The governors of both states are Democrats so its not like they'd be giving away a seat to the Republicans.

So...Gampy and Pampy Poopy pants the 2 oldest have collapsed, and McCain is in fine health...Who'da thunk it?

Rest Well Teddy - You Are a Lion among Men.

This one is for you my Irish friend.

I don't like him, but I still hope he's OK. Seizures aren't fun. :(

I hope it doesn't come to this, but both senators serve in states with Democratic governors according to Wikipedia.

Compare these posts to those on Cheney being in a wheelchair. It seems as if the left is very short on good will.

"I hope Teddy's affairs are in order..."

It's a damn shame, I was kinda countin' on him to give Barney Frank a ride home after the inaugural.

article mentions nothing about Byrd.

Apparently in the confusion it was misreported as byrd.

Amazing, and i thought it was supposed to be the conservatives that were bitter and hate filled.

Mitchell on MSNBC sounds and looks like she has a buzz or is sloshed.

unlike liberal fucks who only want to see cheney die, I will say that I hope both recover and live even longer and healthy lives...Just someplace else besides the US senate....

Great Name..

I'm an independent. I couldn't care less about either one of them. But I hold no grudge against their families.

As far as I know, Kennedy only killed one person. Cheney on the other hand has caused millions to die. That is where the 'good will gap' comes from. Kennedy is a fool. Cheney is evil.

Surely, you can figure this one out alone.

"Yep. Here's what one of your conservative pals just posted:"

Probably just living up to the stereotype. Wait, i keep forgetting the left does not do that.

Let me know when they die.

Well, Lipzoidal, if Cheney is responsible for all those deaths then so is most of the congress. When will you guys get it thru your thick heads that Bush did not go into Iraq alone? The congress saw the same intel he did and they could have voted no but they went with him. When will you start spreading the blame for all these "deaths"?

......yeah......doesn't it just suck how democracy gets in the way of running a proper reichstag.....

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.

Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944

I disagree. I think Mary Jo's heaven is kicking Teddy in the balls for all eternity. And Teddy's hell will be the same. Also, his head will be trapped in an aquarium filled with water from Poucha Pond.

What Maryjo's relatives do on his grave won't pass for flowers.

"""The congress saw the same intel he did and they could have voted no but they went with him. When will you start spreading the blame for all these "deaths"?"""

Nice spin, but try again: your failed heroes doctored the info. Your failed heroes created intel. Your failed heroes went on an all out offensive on truth, with a propaganda campaign that would make goebels blush. So fuck you with your "every one was for it" bullshit. Your failed heroes lied, millions died. Live with it, it might make you grow. Shying away from your mess just makes you out to be a bigger pussy than you already are and an even bigger hypocrite.

Simply put: the iraqi mess and the financial meltdown are republicans' legacy to their country. They are responsible, they are to blame. Be a big enough man to stand by your failed heroes in their time of need, or are you really that much of a pussy that you can't live with the decisions and policies your agreed with when you realize how wrong you were.

Who here knows about seizures?

I do - I have had plenty of them.

All mine have been from alcohol withdrawal.

Nice theory. Too bad there is no truth to it.

Bush, Congress and even some in Bush's cabinet (colin powell) were bamboozled and lied to by cheney.

the full congress never has, even now, been allowed to see the actual intelligence reports that were cited, because they don't exist or they are marked for security purposes.

Go read 'The Angler' and find out how cheney manipulated Bush until Bush caught on and started firing people. I still don't know why he didn't fire cheney (as if he could).

Look, as I've said a million times, I do not think Bush is an evil fellow. I am mad at him because he never reined in cheney. Cheney's only obligation was to haliburton.

Nice spin, but try again: your failed heroes doctored the info. Your failed heroes created intel. Your failed heroes went on an all out offensive on truth, with a propaganda campaign that would make goebels blush. So fuck you with your "every one was for it" bullshit.

Which is why they continued to fund the war year after year? Knowing the intel was skewed and manipulated? Why? All they had to do was vote no and the war is over and troops come home. Right enano?

It doesn't have to be "information" that makes you for or against certain kinds of wars. Instinct told me that this was a dumb stupid pseudo-idealogical kind of symbolic war, planned in theory for years by those neo-Con evil-doers, just waiting for a vulnerable President to let himself be fed it hook line and sinker. The Congress was too scared to come out against it as they should have because they were intimidated, too. The 9/11 atmosphere and all.

MSNBC reports Sen. Kennedy is awake, alert, and doing well.

The Dell is a mess... snot and soda. FF

God Bless, That makes me mad...
1. If you want Bush officials prosecuted, the DEMS have massive majorities and the presidency, if nothing happens you only have one PARTY to blame.

2. Being President is not like your job. "No, Ma'am..we are out of copies of "The Dark Knight" or "Would you like sprinkles on your ice cream..50 cents more"..I didn't agree with a lot of what he did either and am just as mad about it, But being president and trying to defend us against terrorism is a brand new ball game...and he was the first to do it, So I give him a major break on that, But Lefties thought it would be cool to Boo..Hopefully, when they go back to work..THEY ALL GOT FIRED OR LAID OFF...Classless Morons..

Bullshit, Panchovilla. There's really nothing else to say other than bullshit. If you really believe what you are trying to sell you are one dumb SOB.

Damn, Hillbilly, you said it all right there. Good job.

And you touched on something that rings so true and even the left can't deny it. There is zero class in people who boo an out-going president. That is the level that far left nutjobs are at. It truly is disgusting. Hell, even Cheny shot down a smattering of boos at his speech after he lost. A few people booed Obama's name and he shut it down quickly and they didn't do it again. If Obama had any class he would have said something as well.

Not Cheney, McCain.

I just saw this booing bulshit. Totally classless, and I'm sure the Chosen One was embarrased for the tools that did it.

Rest Well Teddy - You Are a Lion among Men.

Very funny

Ten minutes later?!? You can't be serious.

"It truly is disgusting. Hell, even (McCain) shot down a smattering of boos at his speech after he lost."

You mean rightwingers booed a soon-to-be-President?

Nutjobs!

Kennedy Drown Someone while he was driving drunk and got away with it because he was a Kennedy. He's been in the middle of scandal after scandal. He's an alcholic. Satan will be skullfucking him with one big firey penis.

Robert Byrd is KKK. Satan will be skullfucking him with one big firey penis.

"Kennedy Drown Someone while he was driving drunk and got away with it because he was a Kennedy."

And Laura Bush killed someone while she was driving and got away with it.

Hans

Don't say boo or throw a shoe,

Just kill, maime and destroy with profits for a few.

Its a great game, but few are in a position to indulge.

Laura was not drunk

Kennedy's hell will be eternity with a drink.

And Laura Bush killed someone while she was driving and got away with it.

Don't forget the part where she stumbled home, waited 8 hours, called the police and made sure there was no Oxygen left in the vehicle..

"Laura was not drunk"

No doubt the family of Michael Douglas is relieved about that.

Hans

FU Danforth, The Entire world was watching that shameful display of Idiocy. And MSNBS did the black community NO FAVORS, by showing an entire line of Black folk while it was going on. What DANFORTH and Hateful retards like his ilk don't understand and those of us on the right really want Obama to do well, he benefits ALL of us by doing so, and for your mindless, hateful, selfish, self-centered comrades in Ideology to do that..Just made me hope he sinks like a stone duck so I can boo HIM at the next inauguration..You F***ing Cowardly, Jew-hating, self-absorbed, greedy leftie c***-S***ers..GOOD GRIEF , I am so pissed

All the talk Since OBAMA got elected from the left about Unity and we have to be as one and let's get things done..That is all CRAP the left NOW says...If it was true, they would have at least stayed silent when his name was anoounced or maybe a small applause for at least trying...BUT NOOOOOOOOO...I FUCKING HATE LEFTIES

"FU Danforth, The Entire world was watching that shameful display of Idiocy"

Luckily, McCain quieted them down after the first round of boos.

Wow, that's interesting, Hans, though the facts are pretty suspect. For what public office was she elected again, genius?

"GOOD GRIEF , I am so pissed"

Way to go, Danforth!

Hans

"For what public office was she elected again, genius?"

No doubt that's warm comfort to the family of Michael Douglas.

Hans

Good answer, Hansey, Pansey.

"those of us on the right really want Obama to do well"
"Just made me hope he sinks like a stone duck so I can boo HIM at the next inauguration"

Ya gotta love the self-contradicting retort.

But I'm looking forward to his next inauguration as well.

"You F***ing Cowardly, Jew-hating, self-absorbed, greedy leftie c***-S***ers"

I love the Jews, and am a straight guy. Sorry to disappoint you. Not sure about the cowardly, but I'll give you self-absorbed.

Anyone else feel that thrill up their leg today besides me and Chris Matthews?

The sad fact is NO ONE on the left wanted to quiet them down..they think it is "cool"..it makes them cool with their uninformed friends, maybe they will pass them the doobie before someone else..They think it is okay to demean and embarrass the entire nation because it is only "Bush" and we hate bush..the world will understand...Of course..that is how far your demented, self-centered inward focused ideology has gotten you too..It is okay to embarrass, humiliate (and in the case of Isreal..Kill Jews) becuase you believe it so it must be right..You f***ing UnAmerican pansies

"Way to go, Danforth!"

My job is obviously done here. If I can piss off at least one idiot, it's a useful day.

"(and in the case of Isreal..Kill Jews)"

I've been an ardent supporter of Israel since the beginning. You'll have to try some other half-assed insult.

"The sad fact is NO ONE on the left wanted to quiet them down."

The sadder fact is he deserved to be booed.

Nice to see you endorse a bunch of dumb, classless fucks that are part of your Party.

Next time, they should skip the crab appetizer...

"The babyboomer generation really screwed this nation. Bill and Hillary..."

I was with you till that point.

Bill left the country with peace, and true surplus budgets on his successor's doorstep. It was Bush who squandered that with tax cuts for the wealthiest and a war of choice before the war of necessity had fulfilled its mission.

You people here didn't piss me off, Even If I hated OBAMA, I would never in a million years think to boo him at the most time-honored, irreverant most civil passing of power ceremony the human race has ever known. A time when we show the world how a true democracy passes the torch of power from one leader to the next...AND YOU F***ING LEFTIES F***ED it up..Congrats to you..And I definetly would say something about the black community and their embarrassing lack of any class at that terrible display today. But them I get the racism label and that is always the left's time honored label..next to "NAZI"...when they just want to stop debating and run away

"Nice to see you endorse a bunch of dumb, classless fucks that are part of your Party."

They're all Independents?

Look, I don't endorse that, but the fact remains, he deserves a lot worse treatment than booing. If that's as bad as it gets, Bush should feel very, very lucky.

"I would never in a million years think to boo him at the most time-honored, irreverant most civil passing of power ceremony the human race has ever known."

But you'll give a pass to Republicans who booed Obama after he won the Presidency?

Ok, back to the htread.

And Laura Bush killed someone while she was driving and got away with it.

That's what Chimpy finds so attractive about Pickles. Having people killed while Governor or President just isn't the same as doing it yourself.

Like I said, You're "Party Of NON_Corruption" has all the power now, if Bush and his admin has NOTHING happen to them, and Booing is all he gets

who will you blame?

and the Idle threat of booing Obama, because I am so mad I want to punch someone and actually doing it to the President of the US at the inaguration are two different things...you imbecile....

And yes, at the McCain defeat assembly their was some booing, very little and McCain put a stop to it, But Obama supporters have had three months to get over it and in front of the world..They showed why they voted for him...Because they are MORONS....

HillBillyJihad, you expected CHANGE?

"and the Idle threat of booing Obama, because I am so mad I want to punch someone and actually doing it to the President of the US at the inaguration are two different things"

"...so I can boo HIM at the next inauguration"

So...in one post you claimed you'd never think of doing it in a million years, shortly after you stated you wanted to boo at the next inauguration. Now you're claiming I'm an imbecile because...what...I pointed out your contradiction and your blatant hypocrisy? Too funny.

Sorry for not closing the italics.

Well, they talk a good game..But If there is one thing I have learned about lefties..They have to have someone to hate, in order to justify their miserable existence..They can't blame themselves for their lot in life..it must be someone elses fault...Bush is just the focal point of their hate..But now they have to refocus it since he is gone..So it will be either christians or Isreal..or some group that isn't part of the democratic coalition of the "Victims" You Know these people who gather in forums on C-SPAN and talk about how "oppressed" they are...I have been all over the world..and these intellectual "frauds" have no idea what Oppression really is...

HillBillyJihad, just like the turds on Air America, all they have is emotional hate. When they are forced outside that box, they fail. And this is exactly the box those booing fools where in today.

"They can't blame themselves for their lot in life..it must be someone elses fault."

What has he done that wasn't approved by Congress? (Other than his butchering of the english language)

"What has he done that wasn't approved by Congress?"

So he gets a pass because the Republican Congress agreed? Are you serious?!?

But, if you insist:
The dog-and-pony Social Security privatization.
Misled America about Niger Uranium.
Mission Accomplished.
No exit strategy from Iraq.
Undermanned and underplanned after the invasion.
Torture.
No-bid contracts.
Lied about Katrina.
Ignoring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Outing a CIA NOC.
Misunderestimated the cost of the war.

And that's just without the Republican rubber-stamp Congress. There's an even longer list if you include them.

Any good news yet?

The dog-and-pony Social Security privatization. -Didn't pass
Misled America about Niger Uranium. -What came of it?
Mission Accomplished. He mis-spoke/was wrong
No exit strategy from Iraq. -They have been drawing down the numbers, just not as fast as you want.
Undermanned and underplanned after the invasion.- Bush's fault
Torture.-some call it interogation and support it.
No-bid contracts. He issued these directly?
Lied about Katrina. -he provided funding with the blessing of Congress and it was mostly pissed away
Ignoring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. -He was smart to stay out of it
Outing a CIA NOC. He didn't
Misunderestimated the cost of the war. How would you budget for an on-going war?

So you see Danforth how YOUR HATE and the Hate shown at today inagural by your buddies....BREEDS HATE..thank you

"....thank you"

You're welcome.

Hans

Hans, I don't remember you taking a position. Where the goofs who did the booing out of line?

breaker, breaker..

"Didn't pass (the Privatization of SS)"

So? He wasted a lot of valuable time, money, and "Presidential capital". He should get a pass because his failure failed?

"What came of (the claims of Niger Uranium)?"

We invaded a country that didn't have anything to do with 9/11, didn't have WMDs, and didn't pose a threat to us, to the tune of tens of thousands of our bravest killed and wounded and a trillion dollars pissed away. Weren't you paying attention?

(Regarding Mission Accomplished) "He mis-spoke/was wrong"

No shit, Sherlock.

(RE: no exit strategy) "They have been drawing down the numbers, just not as fast as you want."

It took less time to win against the two largest war machines in the world than it's taken against a bunch of nomads in sandals. And there would have been no "drawing down" if it hadn't been for Dem victories.

(Undermanning and underplanning was) "Bush's fault"

Again, NSS.

"some call (torture) interogation and support it."

Waterboarding was torture when we prosecuted the Japanese for it after WWII. What day, exactly, did it become legal?

"He issued (no-bid contracts) directly?"

Well, Congress certainly didn't vote on them.

"he provided funding (to Katrina) with the blessing of Congress and it was mostly pissed away"

I was referring to the "no one could have anticipated the breach of the levees", when tape surfaced afterward of Bush discussing the potential breaching of the levees.

"He was smart to stay out of (the Israeli-Palestinian conflict)"

Well now you're just making shit up.

"He didn't (out a CIA NOC)."

His administration did, and he commuted the sentence of the guy who lied about it and obstructed justice. Just where does the buck stop?

"How would you budget for an on-going war?"

Well, not by firing the guy who first suggested $200 billion, because that was too high. Or allowing the SoD to claim "6 days, 6 weeks...I doubt 6 months."

His administration did, and he commuted the sentence of the guy who lied about it and obstructed justice. Just where does the buck stop?

Damn, skizziks, if that's true then Bush was one crafty smart son of a bitch. Then again, I guess all of those senators AND clinton were lying when they claimed Iraq had WMD.

........the ultimate responsibility rests with the Commander in Chief, he KNEW there were no WMD's, he KNEW that Cheney was cooking the evidence, he absolutely KNEW that he was committing a crime........

I actually do not believe Bush knew anything, let alone knew all that. Cheney was the filter, I believe, and he only told Bush what he knew would cause Bush to react the way he wanted. Bush was the only member of his cabinet who did not sign PNAC. Think about it.

I was one of them as well, but I also understand that, as a private citizen, I was never exposed to the full lie, the one that convinced so many to do what they knew was probably the wrong thing, and cannot say that I too would not have been moved by that evidence.

I love it... Try not to trip over eachother claiming to have known it was all a lie. Lemmings........

I was also one, not that it makes me special. There were many. We were called "traitors" and Saddam supporters. We were told we were "for" Saddam, and "hated" America.

I remember it well.

We're trying not to, but the spectacle of a lecture from a Bushbot is just a bit too much to ignore.

"Try not to trip over eachother claiming to have known it was all a lie"

I won't claim I knew it was a lie. However, I do remember wondering why we were going into Iraq when we hadn't accomplished the mission in Afghanistan. I also remember eagerly anticipating Colin Powell's appearance before the UN, knowing it would fully convince the rest of the world...and afterward thinking, That's it?!? That's all we've got?

Lets all give 08R4Ever some attention, then the adults can go back to talking.

Danforth's reasoning was closer to mine, in point of fact. I could see the drums beating, and knew that there was no Saddam-9/11 connection, or at least that the connection was highly suspect and had not been even kinda established. I knew that Iraq was no threat to the US. I remember the Bush admin's trial balloons on an invasion of Iraq that they sent up in spring-summer 2002, and I thought. "holy shit", we're gonna fall for it. And we did.

I watched as people like R8 lined up (metaphorically, of course - not to enlist) like little robots. Everyone who questioned the president was a "traitor", or "naive".

What frightened me the most was how easily we were manipulated. The Bush Admin. could have pointed their finger anywhere and we would have followed blindly, no matter how flimsy the case for war.

It taught me a lot about my fellow Americans that, in retrospect, I didn't want to know.

and knew that there was no Saddam-9/11 connection

Did Sadam tell you this?

Betelg,
It is not just Americans, but humans.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

I thought Saddam was a liar. Remember:

Left: Saddam doesn't have WNDs
Right: How do you know
Left: He said so
Right: He lies

Right: Saddam supports terror
Left: How do you know?
Right: He says he pays 25,000 to Palestinian terrorists
Left: I thought you said he was a liar.

Ted Kennedy intentionally avoided responsibility for causing someone's death, and was elected and re-elected by the Massholes for decades, all because his last name is "Kennedy." Factual accounts of his evening with Mary Jo reveal him to be a despicable human being, and for that reason, the world will be better off when he dies. I feel for his loved ones because most of them are not as pathetic as he is and will suffer his loss when he is gone. But that's where any sane person's sympathy should end.

That Saddam was an ally of bin Laden was a ridiculous proposition. They were enemies, by all accounts and known history at the time.

But, then, I'm sure R8 thinks that the Iraq WMD that were a threat to the US are buried in Syria, or some other such nonsense.

Thanks for the memories, Bush, and thanks for the reminder that some people won't admit the facts even when they smack them in the face, R8. I'm going to go do something else now.

Have good days.

But, then, I'm sure R8 thinks that the Iraq WMD that were a threat to the US are buried in Syria, or some other such nonsense

Is it only Bush and the right that receive your disdain? Or do all the other major political heads deserve the same scorn? Seeing as many have aired the exact same nonsense in the past.

For me, they all do and I give it to them all. Bush and co got us into a war that Pelosi and Reid used to retake Congress and then became the exact same thing they swore to replace.

It just doesn't hold water as far as I'm concerned. The terrorists attacked us and killed 3,000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East. They were --
QUESTION: What did Iraq have to do with that?
BUSH: What did Iraq have to do with what?
QUESTION: The attack on the World Trade Center.

It cannot go too far back because, while wrong about Iraq having WMD's, they were right not to act on that belief. Bush acted in what he thought was right, but means do not justify ends anymore than ends justify means. It is not just that Bush and those in power since 2001 believed the WMD story, but that they also acted upon it where no one else did.

Now how far back and what about those out of office that claimed the same mistake about WMDs.

Crispee, you are not one of those Drudgies who can't read, I expect more from you. Having something "on the table" as an option and acting on it are so far apart that it is not even funny. 100 Presidents could have thought about doing it, but only the one who did it, did it.

People really need to ghet more educated upon tyheir so called fadcts. The Votyes for the War in Iraqq were subject to the stipulation Dubya get UN Approval before it's undertaking. You people who still claim the Congress are just as responsible really dfon't know what the fuck You are talking about. Dubya did not do as He was legally required to do. Unfortunately at the time the Republicans had the Majority and did not hold Him accountable. But keep spewing Your bnul;lshit tripe. Whatevber quenches that fucking churning gut of Yours.

Aside from being hard to read, Larry is also 100% correct. Congress did approve action in Iraq, but going to the UN first was a stipulation that was ignored.

I wasn't refuting or downplaying your post about not acting. My point was Clinton had plans drawn up to remove Saddam. Which if I remember were given and accepted by Bush. All the leaders of both parties before and after the invasion seemed to have the same position as Bush in the early years of his presidency.

Congress did approve action in Iraq, but going to the UN first was a stipulation that was ignored.

Was that requirement in the Resolution that Congress voted on?

With the support of large bipartisan majorities, the US Congress passed the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002. The resolution asserts the authorization by the Constitution of the United States and the United States Congress for the President to fight anti-United States terrorism. Citing the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, the resolution reiterated that it should be the policy of the United States to remove the Saddam Hussein regime and promote a democratic replacement. The resolution "supported" and "encouraged" diplomatic efforts by President George W. Bush to "strictly enforce through the U.N. Security Council all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq" and "obtain prompt and decisive action by the Security Council to ensure that Iraq abandons its strategy of delay, evasion, and noncompliance and promptly and strictly complies with all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq." The resolution authorized President Bush to use the Armed Forces of the United States "as he determines to be necessary and appropriate" in order to "defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions regarding Iraq."

Oh and for those of You who still insist that the AUMF of October 2002 gave Dubya the authority to invade Iraq why then did He use the AUMF just days after the September the 11th attacks upon the World Trade Center. Yes He used the first aumf because Self Defense is an inherant right that is declared in UN Charter article 51. But since Saddam Hussein nor the Government of Iraq attacked the United States He could not justify the use of AUMF that occured just days after September 11. Sorry but thems the factsw. Even one of the chief architecs of the war Richard Perle declared it an Illegal action.

Look Larry, I know you wrote your congressman and all but he is right about the democrats in this respect... They were no innocently blindsided victims, they gave Bush an inch, and he took a parsec, sure, but come on, you had to know how it was going to be at least a light year of lattitude that they were handing him. They should have known better but they didn't want to look weak on terror so they thought the wording of this resolution killed two political birds with one stone, look tough while restraing the power of the executive.

The idea that they couldn't conceive of what Bush would do with their vote is a load of crap. I knew it, and I blog on the retort for god's sake.

Political reality trumped blood and bones reality and here is the mess we're left to pick up.

Was that requirement in the Resolution that Congress voted on?

#166 | Posted by MURPHY at 2009-01-21 12:43 PM |

I believe it was, but will have to look it up.

Strictly enforce all the resolutions regarding Iraq... Abandon its delay, evasion and non compliance. This seems to help Bush's cause not hurt him.

LATE ONSET CASE OF THE BENZ.

.I didn't agree with a lot of what he did either and am just as mad about it, But being president and trying to defend us against terrorism is a brand new ball game...and he was the first to do it, So I give him a major break on that, But Lefties thought it would be cool to Boo..Hopefully, when they go back to work..THEY ALL GOT FIRED OR LAID OFF...Classless Morons..

OK, let's give Bush a 'pass' on 9/11. Now what?

People are pissed because Bush, who promised to get OBL 'Dead or Alive', decided he wasn't concerned with OBL and didn't care where he was ONLY SIX MONTHS after OBL helped kill 3000 American Civilians.

I guess that's the definition of 'class' in your neck of the woods.

it would be cool to Boo..Hopefully, when they go back to work..

Ha. That's a good one.

That fat turd Kennedy deserves no sympathy because he killed Mary Jo Kopechne at Lake Chappaquiddick. Why don't the stupid liberals ever mention that Teddy is killer.

Old men get sick and they die, regardless of their political affiliations. I hope they don't suffer too much until then.

The congress saw the same intel he did and they could have voted no but they went with him. When will you start spreading the blame for all these "deaths"?

#21 | POSTED BY EVERLONG AT 2009-01-20 04:06 PM

No, Everlong, the Congress did not have access to the same Intel that the White House did. The "White House" performed a number of creative editing jobs on reports that could very well have tanked their plans to march into Iraq. If the Democratic Opposition of the time was culpable of anything, it was incompetence, not evil. They were a horrible opposition party. The Repubs, I'll be the first to admit, are far better in the role of second banana. I hope they stay there for a long time.

Incompetence in politians should be dealt with at the polling stations. Evil should be turned over to the courts.

Kennedy needs to step down and let someone else take over this Senate Seat. It's not his, it belongs to the voters. Obviously he is not there, not representing the people of Mass.

The only reason he stays is to selfishly hold onto power/influence. This is not the right thing to do. At least while he's still alive he could endorse someone else, but for chrissake don't just hang on to an empty seat ....
