On his last day in office, President Bush likely won't be pardoning former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens or anyone else, a White House spokesman said today. "We don't expect any more [pardons]," said spokesman Stuart Siciliano.

GOOD RIDDANCE! I think I am going to have a mental orgasm. Take your billions that you stole and FUCK OFF!

I guess he won't do like bj willie and spend all morning of his last partial day turning criminals loose.

A class act.

"Take your billions that you stole and FUCK OFF!"

You are worried about billions? and eagerly awaiting Obama, now that is a laugh

Nice point :)

can we rename this thread, and probably 90% of the threads over the next 2 days as "who can tell bush to F off with the most style?" That would make it a lot easier to avoid, and get to posts with actual content that is worth reading.

If this turns out to be true, props to Bush. Last-minute pardons are a terrible presidential tradition.

I agree. I have no use for this guy but he hasn't gotten crazy with the pardons as Clinton did.

WH staffers are crying....

Now, if Pelosi and Reid only have the balls...

I honestly don't think anyone is as happy today is the day as Bush. He will not do anything else as President today other than count down the minutes until he is free once again.

W might refrain from being an ass on this one!?! With years of criticism of Clinton's pardons by the GOP, Bush doesn't really have an option, if he knows what's best for his party's image at this point.

The King should not be able to excuse friends from the rule of law.

Now, if Pelosi and Reid only have the balls...

The balls for what?

The balls for what?

Criminal charges I assume. If you want to change the line in the sand to one in concrete, then this is the course of action to follow. Tit-for-tat for Clinton I think it is.

"Tit-for-tat for Clinton I think it is."

While I'd like to see the wrongdoers have to answer, I'd never call it tit-for-tat. Somehow I doubt getting a blowjob from Monica was torture.

Depends on her teeth I would guess...

The right went gunning for Clinton because he dared defeat GHWB for office. They were going to get him for something and his entire time in office was jumping from one "gotcha" moment to the next and eventually one stuck. The left, ever since Bush stole the election in 2000, have been gunning for some "gotcha" moment of their own as payback.

You mean Scooter Libby wasn't enough payback? Bwahaha.

"You mean Scooter Libby wasn't enough payback?"

Yeah...outing a CIA NOC was a great payback at Clinton....

Scooter was a symptom, not the disease.

"The left, ever since Bush stole the election in 2000, have been gunning for some "gotcha" moment of their own as payback."

They had plenty. Too bad neither Pelosi nor Reid had any balls. They governed with one goal in mind: capturing the WH in '08. Not for the good of the country, but for the good of the Democratic party.

I agree 100% with everything except one point: Pelosi has balls...she took Reid's.

"she took Reid's."

Reid actually had some?!? News to me!

You mean Scooter Libby wasn't enough payback? Bwahaha.

Only ONE thing would have quenched My "Thirst" and that would have been the Impeachment and subsequent throwing out of BOTH Dubya and Cheney. The ONLY thing.

except he didn't do it. Damn!

"except he didn't do it. "

Riiiiiiiight. He just commuted the sentence of the guy who was ordered to do it.

More responsibility from the party of responsibility.

The ultimate FU to all his political supporters.

Just ignore the facts

"Just ignore the facts"

Which are what? Are you one of those idiots who is actually going to claim she wasn't a CIA NOC?

That is was not libby but Armitrage (spelled however) that was the leak. Libby lied to the prosecutors and got convicted for... "Libby was convicted on four counts of perjury, obstruction of justice, and making false statements" (wiki reference) not for outing the a CIA NOC. Just the facts! Unless you think you can re-out a person after they have already been outed? Not sure how that would work

Why do You guys fucking lie about the NOC CIA Leakers. There were not one but 4. Armetage/Fleisher/Rove/Libby. Only Libby was charged and convicted for for lying and obstruction. NOT for the original outting. They knew what they were doing.

Larry

Not lieing just stating what has been investigated and proven. Not something you pulled out of our butt. The can only be one outing. Who ever did it, then it was out. Otherwise Novak would have been convicted as well.

And damn Larry, I did not think you would be so sloppy as to leave Bush and Chenney out???

" "Libby was convicted on four counts of perjury, obstruction of justice, and making false statements""

Gee...and who do you think he was "obstructing" for, and why? I mean---what's the Republican mantra?---if you've got nothing to hide....

"That is was not libby but Armitrage (spelled however) that was the leak"

Oh...you're one of the idiots who believes only the FIRST person who outs a CIA NOC is guilty.

Once it is out, it is out. What part of that do you not get?

Pretty damn simple concept.

"Once it is out, it is out. What part of that do you not get?"

It wasn't common knowledge, and one person outing a CIA NOC doesn't allow everyone else to do the same. What part of that do you not get? Pretty damn simple concept.

so you should go to jail right now? Or is there a time frame of out?

WOB

"so you should go to jail right now? Or is there a time frame of out?"

*Sigh*

Idiot.

This is a real koolaide issue: apologists for those who put our bravest at risk, all for political payback. Keep it up, and enjoy the wilderness. You've earned it.

OMG. Reading through Freechoice's posts is like reading through "My Pet Moron".

STFU you idiot.

Part of me really enjoys the fact that some people so desperately want criminal charges brought against Bush and Cheney. It's nice to know that you will not get your way and that it will just eat you up inside.

You should be worried if no charges are ever filed. This sets a standard we'll have to live with for a long time if nothing is done.

What Larry and Dufus said.

Why no pardon for the Abu Ghraib soldiers who were doing EXACTLY what they were told to do under the watchful eye of CACI Corporation. This company had the contract of 'information collection' and it's employees directed the actions of US Military personnel to soften the suspects before interrogation.

.....but hey, they're just soldiers, so FUCK 'EM....right? Big business wins out over our troops again!
