If the pedophile followers keep firing rockets, the Jews should continue to bomb them, regardless of so called civilian casualties.

If they know where the rockets are being launched from and do nothing, they aren't innocent civilians.

Cease fire, truce, peace talks, peace process, rockets, war, blah, blah blah.

yeah, all those kids in gaza should get together like the little rascals and stop terrorism.

Dumb fuck.

I hope this means Israel has completely defeated Hamas. Otherwise, Israel should continue its effort.

Everybody was saying Israel would quit before the Obama inauguration.

Hamas, like hezbollah in Lebanon ain't gone.

Maybe Omlet can borrow Dubya's Mission Accomplished banner....

How interesting that international journalists will be flowing into Gaza at around the same time the American media begins to develop "Obama Fever" in the days leading up to the inauguration. CNN is salivating over Obama taking a train ride- it's all they've been talking about for awhile now. The true extent of the devastation and the human toll of the Israeli offensive will take second stage as Israel's benefactor celebrates the inauguration of its new president. This works out too nicely.

How big of them. There is nothing left to blow up.

I hope this means Israel has completely defeated Hamas. Otherwise, Israel should continue its effort.

Like the Israelis, not too bright. The devastation is the best recruiting tool Hamas ever had. The American media sanitized it, but the Arab world had plenty of pictures to look at every day.

The moral ambiguity of this struggle is truly overwhelming. It needs to be dealt with at two levels, reality and the appearance of reality. There is surely justification for rocketing back if they rocket you first, even if Israelis seem to be over-killing, taking a hundred Palestinians for every one of their own. Why rockets from Gaza? I really don't know, but suspect that it all originated well before Davey slew Goliath. The second level has been a public relations disaster for Tel Aviv. A people that in my lifetime underwent a holocaust cannot afford even the appearance of doing unto others what just was done unto them. Folks I admire most, the thinking left, progressive left, aware left, take a view that must be respected. herm

It's the limey's fault. They should have stuck the Jews down in Africa somewhere.

why?

SHAME ON YOU ISRAEL. SHAME ON YOU.

Well, well, well... that is what happens when the US suspends munition shipments. Amazing how that happens.

Don't think this is over. The Israelis are like a tiger who first tasted human flesh. Syria and Lebanon are next, then on to Iran unless more powerful forces stop them.

The timing of this 'ceasefire' shows the whole thing got under way the moment fox news called ohio for obama. Larger scale Sunday protests against Israeli embassies will now be more muted, and obvious mass murder and genocide against the Palestinian people would be bad for the Israeli PR machine on American inauguration day.

The Israeli mission has been a complete success, which was to kill as many Palestinians and destroy as much as possible in order for its politicians to show how tough they are before next month's elections. Bibi Netanhyu will find it hard to claim he's tougher than barak and livni.

Israel can have peace any time it wants, just by withdrawing its 300,000 land thieves from occupied Palestine. A simple 'settlement' freeze would probably be seen by Palestine as justifying a cessation of rocket fire. But the habit of ethnic cleansing and land acquisition is too hard for Israel to break. They'll keep gobbling up Palestine as long as they can.

Jewish cluster-fuck.

I can't imagine how people can find fault with Israel for defending itself. Where is the outrage about the continuous rocket assaults Hamas launches from Gaza? Every time Israel has given up land in the name of peace, Hamas used that land to attack. Hmmmmm, sounds like Israel is sick of being used. The fact they have killed so many Palestinians in this latest attack speaks to me that they have had enough. I say bring Hamas to its knees. Israel has my blessing.

Ceasefire declared. Mission accomplished. The murdering Zionists are out of American bullets.

israel has never traded land for peace. it has only re-deployed, pursuing its policy of ethnic cleansing in a different manner, in different places. 100's of thousands of ethnic cleaners are now in the w. bank, 100's more every week. they are casting envious eyes on gaza, hoping they can the process of elimination of palestinians there will continue.

the world can only hope and pray that zionism will somehow be destroyed, because american funded zionism is all powerful.

You must be very simple minded and ignorant or both to support Israeli incursion and mass killing.

Carlh,

You have to be too emotionally complex to understand, Hamas got into power by force by killing people. They were not voted into power. They hate Israel, they love to shoot rockets at Israel.

Secondly, if the United States decided to fire rockets at any country even though the rockets didn't kill anyone, would be an act of war. War is not pretty, even at the very beginning of the incursion, 3 Israeli troops were killed by friendly fire.

I would have liked to have seen Hamas removed from power, and given back to the previous government.

I would have liked to have seen Hamas removed from power, and given back to the previous government.

Hamas won an election and fought for power- Fatah was extremely corrupt, very unpopular, and willing to fight. To the Palestinians in Gaza, Hamas appeared to be the lesser of two evils. Israel can obliterate every last trace of Hamas, but the niche that Hamas filled will still exist, and it won't remain empty for long. A "sustainable" cease-fire is going to require a lot more than hunting militants.

LIVE FROM GAZA ~~ DAY 23 OF THE ISRAELI BLITZKRIEG (OR THE CEASE-FIRE THAT ISN'T)

More than 100 dead corps were found today by paramedics mostly civilians and a family of 8 members. Samouni family which was massacred before found 17 more dead bodies under the rubbles. Many families still seek rest of members and relatives who were lost during the war time.

HamAss needs to round up the boyz burry the dead real fast and get ready for another Allah Akbar Jihad, does HamAss not realize there are still woman and children that need some more Jihad. HamAss needs to get those rocket missile and mortar attacks back up and running A.S.A.P there are still plenty of women and children that could be martyrs. Peace is the last thing HamAss needs, how are these women and children supposed to get their seventy virgins without a war. I think HamAss has plenty of munitions left over but possibly ran out of dresses to hide under...

Don't hold your breath on that.

"1When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. 2And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly." 3Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: 4"As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. 5No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. 6I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. 7And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."
