Well? Where are all the Klan members with their fried chicken jokes? C'mon assholes, you can do it!

Umm. I'm not a Klannie but since I'm from Montana, I feel the onus is on me to speak for them. I'll try one.

At least Bush.. didn't.. run out of.. fried chicken.. like Obama will? Something about watermelons and big speakers on Air Force One, also.

Take that, Obama!

Sounds good. He thinks Tim Geithner is a good guy too. Guess that means we don't have to pay taxes.

Cool, I dont have to pay taxes////////////

Only 1 person who worked for IMF did not pay taxes.........

omg...a man who ran on how horrible Bush's decisions were is now saying President Bush is a "good guy" who made "the best decisions that he could at times under some very difficult circumstances."? from the rhetoric I've heard these past few years out of Obama I would think he completely disagreed with everything Bush has done.

I swear this man is gumby.

"Guess that means we don't have to pay taxes."

Try again. TG paid his taxes, as well as any interest and penalties.

he paid for two years when notified about them by the IRS, but wasn't forthcoming about the other two years they didn't ask him about at the time which he JUST paid. he was 'hedging' the market...

I'm beginning to think that Obama is a good guy given that he is following to the T everyone of Bush's policies. If he starts kicking some libs in the balls, he will have my complete support.

Aww, I bet Barak Hussein Obama says nice things about the contestants in the Special Olympics too.

This is called being political. It is not a bad position to take if one is looking to create a smooth transfer.

Cheers

Suck that republican dick!

Great start!

it would have been one thing to say, 'Bush is a good guy although I disagree with his policy decisions & recognize the difficulty of making those tough decisions'. then he'd sound like someone who can disagree with someone politically yet able to appreciate the person's good nature & genuine desire to do what is right. instead he comes off like GUMBY. 'the best decisions'... which way is the wind blowing? I dunno... look at Gumby! he'll tell you! Gumby, the pure politician.

No one who kills people is a 'good guy'. No one who lies us into war is a 'good guy'. No one who has stolen so much cash is a 'good guy'. The debacle that is America today is thanks to the zionist neo-cons of which Bush is one.

FTA - "Even before taking the oath of office, Obama has already faced a showdown with Congress over releasing what remains of the $700 bailout bill that Bush and Congress authorized before the election."

$700 bailout bill? Is that all? I feel so much better now. I thought it was in the thousands

You stupid cheese-sucking fuck, it's Popeye's!
Only white folks eat KFC.

Thousands, if not billions.

Obama also said he thought Bush made "the best decisions that he could at times under some very difficult circumstances."

yes, for someone slightly below the grade of a retarded monkey, when it was painfully obvious to 99% of the world that the decision should have been the polar opposite of what he was feebly attempting to think.

Fixed that one for ya Barry.

KA-BOOM!!!

Diplo-
Well, to be fair, Obama did say that Bush made "the best decisions that he [Bush] could...."

How Made How

But, I guess it's good that Obama is gracious even to the WORST PRESIDENT EVER.

I suppose it is classier to be nice to the idiot hitler wannabe on the way out the door.

Everything's cozy in the NEW WORLD ORDER.

But, I guess it's good that Obama is gracious even to the WORST PRESIDENT EVER.

Dale Carnegie's:

"Speak well of everyone at all times."

my attempts to remotely to do so usually go this way more often than not:

"Speak well of everyone at all times...if possible."

Give Obama time and he'll succeed Bush as the worst president ever. I guarantee it.

Dale Carnegie's:

"Speak well of everyone at all times."

That is true when you are among your own kind. No one speaks well of Bernie Maddox or Adolph Hitler because they are evil people. From Obama, expect change for the worse. His moral conscience is hardly different from Bush's.

perhaps...

"1997: An Army mechanical engineer, David A. Tenenbaum, "inadvertently," gives classified military information on missile systems and armored vehicles to Israeli officials (New York Times, 20 February 1997).

"The Washington Post reports US intelligence has intercepted a conversation in which two Israeli officials had discussed the possibility of getting a confidential letter that then-Secretary of State Warren Christopher had written to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

"One of the Israelis, identified only as, "Dov," had commented that they may get the letter from, "Mega," the code name for Israel's top agent inside the United States.

"US ambassador to Israel, Martin Indyk, complains privately to the Israeli government about heavy-handed surveillance by Israeli intelligence agents.

"Israeli agents place a tap on Monica Lewinsky's phone at the Watergate and record phone sex sessions between her and President Bill Clinton. The Ken Starr report confirms that Clinton warned Lewinsky their conversations were being taped and ended the affair. At the same time, the FBI's hunt for, "Mega," is called off."

Liberals want us to pay a Carbon tax because it is bad for the earth.
Obama is a Liberal

This one is for the Bush supporters who were looking for something on which we would disagree with President-Elect Obama.

"he paid for two years when notified about them by the IRS, but wasn't forthcoming about the other two years they didn't ask him about at the time which he JUST paid. he was 'hedging' the market..." #8 | Posted by edb

He paid for the 2 years he was audited for and only paid part of the years of which he was not audited right before he was announced. However he was reimbursed for those years.

Barry won't win many friends here with that kind of talk. Bush a nice guy...loves his family and country...made the best decisions he could at the time but some choices were wrong and we have to deal with them? That might get him banned here. Forget the love...where's the hate?

This is called being political. It is not a bad position to take if one is looking to create a smooth transfer.

True, but it's possible to take it too far. Obama shouldn't provide aid and comfort to a terrible president who harmed the country in more ways than I can count.

Ain't no Countin High Enough!

Obama shouldn't provide aid and comfort to a terrible president who harmed the country in more ways than I can count.

... unless his moral conscience is equal to or worse than Bush's. I'm not speculating here.

Gotta agree there, Rogers. Jeez. It's one thing to show deference and respect to the office, but let's not go overboard.

what a perfect example of what I have said on countless occasions and in more than one media

obama gave a big speech and he won and all that shit and it was said that his election transcended race and thats horseshit as seen by this post
we cant make jokes about obama like everyone does everyone else or some dickhead will call us klan members.

so whats the answer??

easy

ONENDONE>

President Elect Obama was being nice, he figured that there is no need to tell America what kind of president Bush was, we can all figure it out for ourselves.

nuf said.

well arent you sweet this morning...lol

or maybe...just maybe....he doesnt have as much hatetred in his heart like all of the media has FOR MORE THAN 8 YEARS AS well as the biased and prejudiceed and bigoted hatred from the so called 'progressive diversity' crowd called drudge retorters of the left.........

and also remember how much the nixon pardon hurt fords re election campaign...if barry wayne keeps making nice the people who run the dem party as in soros will be a little unhappy....

pardon me KBM, let me be more specific then.

Geithner worked for the IMF between 2001 & 2004. in 2006 he was audited by the IRS for the years 2003 & 2004. he paid those years with NO penalties or interest (waived by the IRS). however, he did not file that income & pay for the years 2001 & 2002. those years were settled about 4 weeks ago... he collected tax reimbursement from the IMF as well as notices on how to file each and every year. he REQUESTED payment for the special tax stipend from the IMF each year...and I'm sure he cashed the checks...yet, he forgot to file that income.

i just object to the way danforth just dismissed the joke as if there wasn't some level of either criminal negligence or stupidity on Geithner's part. either reason should be a disqualifer for higher office. put him in charge of the city dog catchers or something else not our money.

Guess the righities missed this part:

"It does not detract from my assessment that over the last several years we have made a series of bad choices and we are now going to be inheriting the consequences of a lot of those bad choices."

Amen, brother. Or should I say Amen, PRESIDENT BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA?

Saw a quote elsewhere on the 'Net today that made me laugh. In regard to Bush's departure, a blogger wrote, "I miss hating him already."

I hate to say it, but I agree with Dumbo - as quoted by Northguy. "...over the last several years we have made a series of bad choices and we are now going to be inheriting the consequences of a lot of those bad choices."

The first consequence will manifest itself on January 20, 2009 and the other consequences should follow over the next four years.

Of course there is another option...dumbo has been getting security briefings, just like President Bush. Do you think he might have learned something that you don't know that may have made him change his rhetoric?

the duopoly inside a phoney Democracy oughta be called by its proper name, an Oligarchy.

Wall Street owns us, pillages the country and rapes us, everyone.

Obama also said he thought Bush made "the best decisions that he could at times under some very difficult circumstances."

"That does not detract from my assessment that over the last several years, we have made a series of bad choices and we are now going to be inheriting the consequences of a lot of those bad choices," Obama said.

Meaning what? That Bush made the best decisions he could but since he made a lot of bad choices, the decider wasn't a very good decider?

IOW, he did the best he could but his best wasn't good enough? If he means something else, then why did Obama keep saying McCain would be like a third Bush presidency?

Perhaps Bush would have been a better decider had he stooped to consult previous presidents, especially his father. Maureen Dowd thinks so:

As Barack Obama got to town, one of the first things he did was seek the counsel of past presidents, including George Bush senior.

As W. was leaving town, one of the last things he did was explain why he never sought the counsel of his father on issues that his father knew intimately, like Iraq and Saddam.

www.nytimes.com

um, what are you trying to say Gal? Bush sucks deciding things (choices are more empowering than 'decisions'). what BHO meant was that if you elect McCain then you'll keep seeing R's next to the president's name, not that there will be any difference in fiscal irresponsibility. but maybe he should have asked past presidents how best to push us further in debt. lot's of experience there still alive.

of course he must counsel...he has no idea what he got himself into and needs to hear all the PRACTICAL ideas he can...as oppossed to the rabble rousing, vote gathering BS he's passed out...taking the 'eye off the ball'...like invading Pakistan to capture/kill OBL. (or now, neutralize & cut off from command & control [already done A-hole, unless you bought him a new Sat fone & data recorder to keep him around another 4-8 years.])

speaking of which & highly influenced by insomnia, when is the last time OBL has been video tapped with sound? 4 ears now since that last release? the posterchild is dead of goofy kidneys. we just can't find the corpse & AQ won't admit their 'man' is pushing daisies, fookin' ugly, hairy, mooslem virgins who won't take their halloween masks off no matter how many times he flies a 707 into them.

nice...quote an opinion piece.

It means about...nothing... nothing more than my own opinion (or yours, or anyone else's). quote yourself instead. I'd trust & listen to your opinion without putting on goggles.

my opinion is that maureen dowd is a sychophant. I wonder if she had to raise money for her place in line at the coronation, or just publish a few praise OHB denegrate GWB pieces. the latter in the rag she writes for is worth more than any campaign contribution from a PAC. I bet she didn't contribute shit commensurate with her income/finacial position, like C. Kennedy, BHO, or the Clinton's...until they ran for office (or were annointed). perhaps she thought he's make her press secretary.

transparency in government? long shot. in the press? I'd love to see it.

my opinion is that maureen dowd is a sychophant.

She seems to have taken a shine to Bush 41. Never cottoned to Bill Clinton and has had her doubts about Obama, whom she has referred to more than once as Bambi.

Also, Hillary Clinton has never be a favorite of hers. Perhaps you missed all this due to the goggles. :-)

LOL, perhaps... i'll have to read more of her work ;)
