Shrub truly does not respect any living thing - except MAYBE himself and I think that is in strong doubt as well. The courts ruled last Fall that the wolf population in Greater Yellowstone cannot sustain itself and must remain on the Endangered Species list. Shrub truly does not respect the law any more than he respects life. President-Elect Obama has promised to rescind these draconian laws when he takes office. I just hope he is in time to save at least most of the wolves in Greater Yellowstone.

I don't imagine they taste very good...they are after all, wholly carnivores..no veggies at all...I see them on nearly a daily basis. More small dogs and cats have gone missing in my neighborhood this year than any year I can recall...all due to these beautiful animals.

You bet. We've had them here for about 10 years. They are getting bolder as time goes on. I had 3 of them in the yard over New Years, and I walked out, shouted, slammed the door. They held their ground until they heard a loud bang.

A frend of mine in WY shot one in his front yard one morning. It was black and about 75 lbs. It was after the state put a season and bag limit on them so he didn't break any law.

*A wolverine chasing 2 wolves away from their kill.

*A wolverine chasing a brown bear away from its kill.

*A wolvering chasing a mountain lion away from its kill.

*A 50 pound wolverine fighting a 110 pound wolf with the outcome being the wolf retreating with a bloody muzzle.

Don't fuck with a wolverine. Pound for pound they are possibly the most physically strong mammal in the animal kingdom and they have a temper that manages to best that of a badger.

I'll bet 10 of them couldn't chase dethpud away from a playground.

You need to tak a little jaunt in the areas surrounding Yellowstone and talk to the ranchers and hunters. The damn wolves are everywhere.

This is a pretty emotional issue for a lot of folks. To me, if thewolves have a self sustaining population they can be de-listed and the states can take necessary measures to ensure that the populaion remains viable while still protecting ranchers against too much livestock loss. Of course that is the big question; how well the states will manage to protect both the wolves and the ranchers.

I don't buy the danger argument though. We have coyotes in Maine that took over the niche the wolves used to have and they got huge. I remember as a kid parents being worried about kids getting snatched from bus stops. Thirty years later and it has not happened yet. Of course it still could, but the chances of some kid getting snatched up by their perverted Uncle Bill are a lot higher.

I am a farmer and live with all types of animals without resorting to killing them all because they irritate me.. I would dare to say 99% of the idiots posting this crap.. have no cows, chickens, goats,geese, turkeys, horses dogs or cats or any number of animals that we care for..and live in the burbs..

Yo Redlight, I don't hunt or kill animals - never have. My post was sarcasm designed to push the "how do they taste" thing beyond to what many hunters really think - how will the hunt be without regard to use of the dead animal.

You need to have a beer and relax, it's Friday. Legio, where do you farm? I know farmers, live near farms, have lots of animals myself. You don't sound like a farmer.
