Authorities have charged a Louisiana psychiatric patient with threatening to kill President George W. Bush. Gregory Broussard, 44, also claims he traveled to Louisiana's capitol to scope it out in case President-elect Obama visits.

On the plus side, he didn't cut in line at WalMart.

The overview of the charges don't sound like there's much to there. He said he'd do it, IF god told him to do so.

Well did God make such a request of him? If not, then he was just speaking figuratively

Good thing he wasn't in Texas.

I heard they have preemptive execution there.

They should deport him to France!

Obama should invite this guy to the inauguration. He would fit in quite nicely with the other freaks.

Hold on there, skippy. Are you saying that this man did not have a conversation with God? And that God did not tell him to go case the joint?

are you saying anyone who claims to have this conversation and direction is crazy?

Please, please, please don't let some psychopath kill Commander Bush. We have one more week of this turd; if someone turns Smirk into a martyr and he ends up on US currency we'll have to look at his ugly mug for years.

Obama should invite this guy to the inauguration. He would fit in quite nicely with the other freaks.

Uhhh, piehole, people who claim that they can talk to god are squarely on your side of the freak fence.

FTA: The Secret Service said it searched Broussard's home and car and found a rifle, a digital camera with photos of the U.S. Naval Academy and a lease for an apartment in Annapolis, Md.

Why are crazy people allowed to own guns?

Didn't the Cho thing teach people wot a bad idea that is?

That sed, this guy needs help not jailtime.

Be Well.

Maybe Bush will strap a nice big American flag outfit on him and airdrop him over Afghanistan with a gun ducktaped to his forearm.

Good lord, our beloved Rcade got all huffy when I innocently asked where Lee Harvey Oswald is now that we need him.

On the other hand, in my town a lady cop just shot and killed a certified mental case running around downtown waving a samurai sword. She probably took a page from the BART cop's book in Oakland, but we seem to get ever more of that these days. herm

And on your side they know there is no god. So what's your point?

Freaks to the left of me and freaks to the right of me. Hell, their everywhere.

Its not illegal to be mentally deranged.

Bush is living proof.

Can't blame the guy.

Forget Lee Harvey Oswald.

Where's Tecumseh's Curse when we need it?

We had an axeman running around a park earlier this winter. He was caught and jailed, rather than killed, but he did slice a guy (not critically).

I'm sure crazy axefolk must also live in Bush's neighborhood - hopefully not to harm him critically, but merely to slice out the liberal bias from the media that continually, cruelly misquote him (the poor dear).

"Helicopter drivers", indeed. How dare they misunderestimate his poetic propheteering. He may be the bulldog on the pantleg of democracy, but the media are the used condom in mouth of Dana Perino. Oh, that wasn't very funny at all. I'm terrible at this!

Actually there is nothing wrong with folks who talk to God, it's the ones who hear back from him you have to worry about....especially if they are instructed to start wars.

Like Moses, David, Solomon and Abraham?

You can't have it both ways. Either God is speaking and giving instructions (including killing and war) or he is not giving any at all.

Which is it?

If SHE (I'm calling god she today) is doing that, then it is certainly not crazy to say so. If She's not doing that, then we need to go down to the first baptist church in every town and lock up the whole congregation.

Yes Lipozoidial, just like those 4 shysters.
They played the "God" card and ignorant people have fallen for it for centuries.

Need an excuse to butcher people? Do it and tell everyone "God" told you should, THAT makes it OK. Wanna steal some land? Tell 'em God gave it to you.

Had Moses, David, Solomon and Abraham been in a mental institution (where they belonged) the world would be a better place at this very moment.

Just another example of our tax dollars at work. I wonder how much money has been spent investigating and prosecuting this citizen for speaking honestly on his relationship with the almighty?

Certainly he can't be punished for respecting advice from one of Bush's favorite sources?

God is not giving instructions to anybody, because there is no God. Do the prosecutors really think they can prove that God might actually give instructions to the poor fellow?

What a joke. It's far too late to bother with guns - better to give Bush a fair trial and a life sentence.

Individuals like this Broussard guy are "never" a threat nor are the people like "us" who spew venom and vile in these blogs. The fact that someone actually vocalizes or "types" a threat or challenge is a dead giveaway that they are full of crap. However, there are real threats out there and Bush ain't on their list.
Quick note to those who scan these pages for a living, the true patrioits out there are never going to leave a blog trail nor vocalize their hate, they truly are invisible and standing right beside you. They are likable and squeeky clean for a reason.

"We had an axeman running around a park earlier this winter. He was caught and jailed, rather than killed, but he did slice a guy (not critically)."

If he sliced someone, he must have been a bit critical of his victim. But the point is he was stopped and jugged, either in a slammer of some kind or a hatch in which they straitjacket boobies.

The spate of recent killings by shoot-now-query-later cops does deprive the shootee of such bleeding heart technicalities as judges and juries, habeas corpus and due process. herm
