Before you folks beat up on Jeff, consider this....I and many guys drove up from Florida to help in the clean up (9/11). The steel from those buildings were taken directly to a barge waiting to be shipped off to Asia for recycling. There was absolutely no investigations and the mood was particularly questioning about many things on the ground at that time. All of us that went, wondered how a building could collapse in a implosion type manner (bldg 7) when it was far from the twin towers. Not to mention the way the towers were originally constructed. There is no known physics to explain why the twin towers imploded, because heat can't melt a building that was built like that unless the heat was burning for at least several days.
The twin towers had steel crossing through it like the screen on your home windows. If you put a hole in it the screen still functions. That building was meant to withstand an airline attack. Most of us old enough to remember the story when it was being built know that fact made it one of the most colossal achievements in construction.
Please folks before you knock people do your research......there is a lot to be uncovered out there. If you find something that is conclusive in debating the issue, please post it. The irrefutable truth is overwhelming the facts of it being not true. Don't knock it till you know about it. Peace

8:46 A.M. - Jet fighters are scrambled from Otis Air National Guard Base in Fallmouth, Massachusetts.

9:03 A.M. - United Airlines Flight 175 crashes into the south World Trade Center tower (2 Tower).

Please keep in mind that tower 2 was the first to collapse...fast forward

9:59 A.M. - The south World Trade Center tower (2 Tower) collapses.

@10:07 A.M. - United Airlines Flight 93 crashes near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

10:10 A.M. - A walled section of The Pentagon collapses.

10:28 A.M. - The north World Trade Center tower (1 Tower) collapses.

So after 56 minutes, the last tower to be hit is the first tower to collapse.

29 Minutes later, first tower to be hit is the second to collapse.

Later in the day, building 7...never hit by an airplane...collapses.

So let's give you the benfit of the doubt. Building 1 and 2 collapsed because of weakened structural steel. What caused Building 7 to collapse into its own foot print with minimal damage to the other buildings around it?

The metal used in the construction of the WTC does not melt at the temperature of burning jet fuel.

- Correct, but metals become quite flimsy long before they reach their melting point. Combined with the shearing force of a 747 impacting the top sections of the towers, the towers collapse was inevitable. The question that should be asked is "why did it not happen at impact?"

Puffs of smoke show charges blowing out support columns of the WTC Towers.

- The WTC towers, by volume, were mostly air. As they collapsed, that air escaped through the windows of floors immediately below the sections that were "pancaking".

Buildings were impacted the ground in almost exactly the time predicted for a freely falling body.

- The buildings were concealed by a cloud of debris before they hit the ground. The footage shows a slower descent than freefall. Those that say it was not "slow enough," neglect the fact that the upper layers had considerable momentum, and there was little to resist their descent besides air in the office space and floor material not designed to bear the weight of the structure above. Zeitgeist blatantly screws with the start and finish of their timer and has slightly sped up the file footage. It's a cool movie, but it's just a fucking movie, people. I don't believe Veggie Tales either.

Besides, what would be the benefit to a conspirator in destroying a minor building when the two iconic towers that marked the NY skyline had already been destroyed in spectacular fashion?

They didn't need threats for most people. The science behind the bombs was pretty cutting-edge at the time, and it was certainly lost on the people working at the enrichment facilities. Not content with the nearly $4.6 billion in insurance payments he received to cover his losses at the World Trade Center, he is now seeking $12.3 billion in damages from the airlines and airport security companies for the 9/11 attack in a suit filed in 2004.

Not tainted enough by the fact that Silverstein & Partners took out a lease for 99 years in July of 2001 on the WTC, two months before the attack . . . not content Larry & Partners upped the insurance at that time to $3.5 billion and (presciently) to cover potential hits by airliners flown by "terrorist hijackers" . . .

Not content that Silverstein & Partners subsequently sued the insurers for $7 billion, considering the attack a double strike because separate liners hit Towers One and Two. Not content that Larry spent the next six years in litigation with the insurance companies, only to have the deal fortunately settled, brokered by then Governor Spitzer in 2007, yielding $4.55 to Lucky Larry and Partners . . .

Not content either that his personal stake in the lease was only some $14 million, the balance supplied by his partners. Not content that he made another $500 million on the destruction of his Tower 7, which he owned and quickly rebuilt bigger and better. Not content that no liner hit Tower 7 and that the fires were out, he announced at 3:30 p.m. on 9/11 that there had been so much pain and suffering that he and the NYFD decided to "pull it" -- Tower 7 . . .

Not content that in fact at 5 p,m,, not even two hours later . . . Tower 7 went down at the freefall speed of gravity in a matter of seconds neatly into its own footprint, a classic "internal demolition." Not content that you can't set up an internal demolition on a 47-story steel-framed building in less than two hours or two days, or even two weeks. Not content that his "smoking gun" has attracted the attention of every 9/11 critic around the world . . .

Not content that the BBC made an incredible gaffe as a TV journo of theirs, supposedly in New York, reported that Tower 7 had fallen, that is, 26 minutes before it actually fell and with a News24 "time stamp" video to prove it. Please correct me if I am wrong and you believe in global warming, otherwise it seems like a great paradox - you believe what you want to believe. Or worse, you believe what you are indoctinated to believe. Personally, I don't put enough faith in our elected officials to believe anything they say.

As for myself, I don't believe in global warming, although I do believe we need to take better care of the environment and get off oil. I do not necessarily believe that 911 was an inside job, but at least a complicit one with too many unanswered questions.

Did you see the thread I started a couple of days ago about global warming? It had an article that was quite interesting. It focused on the fact that the earth is normally a much colder planet oscillating between a 100,000 year or so ice age and a 12,000 year or so warm period -- which we are in now.

In fact, this isn't anything new. This was postulated back in the '70s when global cooling was the scare du jour.

However, there is more data now to back this up.

One interesting item they noted is that global warming precedes CO2 buildup by 800 years. They say this could be a reason that CO2 is climbing -- because the earth is naturally getting warmer. It is not the other way around.

Anyway, check out this story. It is interesting.

Before you folks beat up on Jeff, consider this....I and many guys drove up from Florida to help in the clean up (9/11). The steel from those buildings were taken directly to a barge waiting to be shipped off to Asia for recycling. There was absolutely no investigations and the mood was particularly questioning about many things on the ground at that time. All of us that went, wondered how a building could collapse in a implosion type manner (bldg 7) when it was far from the twin towers. Not to mention the way the towers were originally constructed. There is no known physics to explain why the twin towers imploded, because heat can't melt a building that was built like that unless the heat was burning for at least several days.
The twin towers had steel crossing through it like the screen on your home windows. If you put a hole in it the screen still functions. That building was meant to withstand an airline attack. Most of us old enough to remember the story when it was being built know that fact made it one of the most colossal achievements in construction.
Please folks before you knock people do your research......there is a lot to be uncovered out there. If you find something that is conclusive in debating the issue, please post it. The irrefutable truth is overwhelming the facts of it being not true. Don't knock it till you know about it. Peace

There are eyewitnesses that say they didn't see explosions. That supposed photographic evidence has been carted out and laughed at numerous times because apparently only crazy people can see it.

Seriously, if there was one single conspiracy theory with consistent data, it might be worthwhile to look at. But there are so many conspiracies with so many scenarios, it is hard to take any of them seriously.

And when you have thousands of people witnessing any event (football game, disaster, whatever) there will be a handful who 'see' something other than reality. If more than half saw these alleged explosions, it would be worth looking into. But a few out of thousands? I'm not convinced.

They gave a blow by blow account of everything and explanations to follow. The only problem is that it was seriously slanted and flawed. When you are around drywall or concrete for many years of your life, you can tell what characteristics it takes on when it falls....even at varying heights. You might want to look into the physics side of it all. There is plenty to research and plenty to be said about the "air" escaping through the windows. I have seen many implosions in my time and equal detonations. "Air" is not the answer.

The Warren Commission was an attempt to sweep the JFK assasination under the rug through an obvious white-wash of the facts rather than being any serious attempt to uncover the truth behind the events of that day in Dallas.

Re conspiracies, one thing pretty much every reputable historian agrees on is that for an effective conspiracy to occur, that is, it achieves its aim and remains unrevealed, it may involve no more than 10 people, preferrably five. I have heard the same opinion from various people in law enforcement. I believe them. Thus, when someone describes any conspiracy involving 100 or more people, I just can't take them seriously.

Re the Twin Towers "conspiracy", I have yet to read or hear a cohesive chain of events presented by those who believe in a conspiracy. Probably because none of them can stand up to scrutiny. I don't disagree that many contain threads of truth. A few years ago I read a bit about the 9/11 truthers stuff because I thought they asked some provocative questions that should be answered. However, what I found during my brief reading is that most of the "answers" were from people with no professional experience in engineering, physics or materials science making claims that weren't backed by evidence or were stretched interpretations of evidence. What most of them did have, however, was an unhealthy distrust (or outright hatred) of government and it showed in everything they said. If you have some particularly good sources from people with appropriate qualifications who have actually analyzed physical material, the plans to the WTC and have the ability and knowhow to run simulations and such, I'm open to checking it out. If it's on par with loose change and is simply layman "analysis" of news footage, forget about it.

There was a tremendous mass above the collision point. Shock broke off steel fire insulation. The collision point jet fueled fire weakened the columns. The mass above the fire buckled the overheated column section and accelerated by gravity until it hit the unheated larger section below. The upper mass stopped almost instantly causing a reaction in the lower columns no building has ever been designed for. The insuing collapse was so rapid as to sound explosive.

There is something to be said for taking care of your own. It has worked forever based on the idea that nations are built from the ground up. The family is the original building block of civilization and those families worked with other families to build a community & those communities made collective effort with others close by and as travel & communication became more accessible to the masses, larger cities grew, & on & on. The truth is if everyone took care of their own business the world would be a better place just strictly by cause & affect. Good. Because I can't reason with a retard. I don't have any doubts about the 24th taking the brunt end. I also don't doubt at all that the outward force after collapse did incredible damage. I was breathing that shit for hours until I got north of 14th street or so. However, I've seen plenty of video of demolitions, and I know what I saw and heard. Everything I believe has been independently verified by everyone I know in NYC who was there. That was no controlled collapse. That shit did not go down perfectly straight, nor were there explosions. I don't pretend to know more than I know. But I know it wasn't a professional demolition job.

I've got a business proposition for any investors. We should start a demolition company. We can use jet fuel to bring buildings straight down, or even just a fire (worked for building 7). We won't need engineers or explosive experts. Just set us a nice fire and those puppies will come right down into their footprint. With those savings we could make a bundle.
