Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) believes Caroline Kennedy is getting softer press treatment in her pursuit of the New York Senate seat than Palin did as the GOP vice presidential nominee because of Kennedy's social class. Palin said she remains subject to unfair press coverage of her and her family.

Boofuckinghoo.
If Caroline hides from the legit press (read Meet the Press etc) we will be all over her too.

Also, the senate is not comparable to sitting one feeble heartbeat from the presidency. I'd be screaming fucking bloody murder if she was gonna be number one in line for the presidency behind a 74 year old anger management candidate.

Sarah's pissed because her clock now reads 14:59:58.

TTLK, Sarah.

Coupla things here.

First off, Who exactly in the media does Failin think has given Caroline a pass?

As far as Spud can read CK has been reviled in print from coast to coast and overseas fer her Valleygirl from Mass interview.

Second, Class war, Scary? S'rsly? Wot are you some kinda socialist? Spud means beyond those BigOil largesse cheques you hand out.

Third, OWS is right. Being 72 yo McLame heartbeat away from being POTUS does not equate to being the Jr Sen fron NY.

Finally... whenever Scary Failin whines about being crucified in the press Spud always thinks of THIS.

Nothing stinks further or fouler than burning martyr.

Be Well.

Sorry but Caroline has ducked the press. She has done two interviews and flubbed them both with ums and I Knows. that may work in Buffalo but not Manhattan.

Her handlers have requested that the press submit questions in writing so they can decide how she will respond. Meanwhile, Bloomberg talks to the press every morning and Schumer never met a microphone he doesn't love

Sarah says it's a class thing. Caroline has more class. NO doubt about it. herm

"Her handlers have requested that the press submit questions in writing so they can decide how she will respond."

And this is different from the Moosiah how?

Moosefart Sniffer Barbie hasn't the intellect, beauty, charisma or wealth that CK has.

The Last Best Hope for the Republican party is a sad, stupid plastic dashboard Jesus that has had one too many beer spilled on it.

Oh fuck Me to tears. There is a load of difference between a measly Senate Seat and being a heartbeat away from the Presidency. What utter and complete poppycock Sarah Palin is.

Larry

measly Senate Seat

Only 1 person out of 3,000,000 are allowed this 'measly' seat.

Moosefart Sniffer Barbie hasn't the intellect, beauty, charisma or wealth that CK has.

When it comes to looks and charisma (at least in public and being more vivacious and "spunky" acting), Sarah Palin has Caroline Kennedy beat. You betcha!

When it comes to intellect and $$$$$, then Caroline Kennedy wins hands down.

When it comes to intellect and $$$$$, then Caroline Kennedy wins hands down.

I'm not, you know, sure about the, uh, intellect, but you know, she does indeed belong to a, you know, rich family.

Damn trolls and trools should receive a nice healthy dose of a months worth of crabs to gnaw on their brains.

Senate Seat 1 in whatever the population is for that given area of a State.

The Vice Presidency 1 in 299,999,990

Hence apples to oranges comparison.

Larry

and where's 10# Birks = and wears 10# Birks

Senate Seat 1 in whatever the population is for that given area of a State.

Wrong, Larry. Each state has two senators regardless of their population. The number of House representatives is roughly proportional to the state's population, however.

I wear a size 8 shoe, Hans, not a size 10.

Yeah but it's one of a particular area of a State You hgod damned dumbshit Goatman. You know better than that. Fucking useless trool.

Larry

Yeah but it's one of a particular area of a State You hgod damned dumbshit Goatman.

???

Larry, each state has two senators regardless of what area. What are you talking about?

"I wear a size 8 shoe..."

10# = ten (10) pounds, not a size 10.

;0)

Hans

My Senator is Sam Brownback. Pat Roberts is a Kansas Senator but He does not represent Me. Sometime You will understand Goatman when You pull Your head out of Your ass.

Larry

Is that POS STILL bitchin' about the Press?
Wah! Wah! Wah!....
STFU St Sarah-you useless, boneheaded piece of white trailer park trash.

"Sometime You will understand Goatman when You pull Your head out of Your ass."

My Senator is Sam Brownback. Pat Roberts is a Kansas Senator but He does not represent Me.

That is incorrect, Larry. Both US senators from Kansas represent you (and everyone else in Kansas) in Washington.

And of course Hans defends the losing side simply because Larry is liberal and I am not.

Figures.

Party before truth

That is Hiarious Hans kuddos.

Larry

"That is Hiarious Hans kuddos."

Thank you, my friend.

Hans

No they do no Goatman. The Senators represent their districts in Washington. If I have a complaint about Kansas and how it's being treated I have to send a letter to Sam Brownback because He represents Me and My District. Pat Roberts does not. Just like in the House of Representatives. Todd Thart is a representative for His district in Kansas but He isn't My Representative. Jerry Moran is mine. Someday You will understand this too Goatman.

Larry

That is Hiarious Hans kuddos.

You know Larry, I agree. I alway find Hans's party over truth (as he just demonstrated) hilarious, too.

The Senators represent their districts in Washington

Senators don't have districts. They represent the whole state.

Please show me on a map which district is Pat Roberts'.

Larry

Oh but they do or You must nmot know much.

No they don't Larry. Ask your hero Hans, if you don't believe me, OK?

Ask him.

www.visi.com

Looking for Map now.

Also, Larry, if what you say is true, why is it you are able to vote for both senate seats each election when that particular seat's six year term is up? If each did not represent you, you would not be able to vote for each one.

Ask Hans.

here is a map of the congressional districts for Kansas that show which member of the house represents which area of the state.

www.kansasheritage.org

Now I would like you to show me a map that indicates the two areas of the state that each of your two senators represent.

Maybe Hans can help you.

Concerning the title of this thread: I did not know that Citing facts is not whining. Whining is what liberals do when they do not get their own way.

Wrong please do try again. We are only allowed to vote for one Senator depending upon our Home address. I voted for Sam Brownback in 2004. I did not have the ability to vote for or against Pat Roberts this past election 2008 because He isn't in My home district. Someday You too will understand this.

Help him out, OK?

You are wrong Larry. I have voted for both senate seats in texas from the same address.

I'm waiting for the map you said you would provide.

Looks like your buddy Hans dropped you like a hot potato, though. He's quick to post a cutesy link and give you one of his coveted "Thank yous" but where the rubber meets the road, he abandons you.

You know full well if you were right and I was wrong he'd be there with links to prove it. He lives for the 'gotcha'.

But he knows I'm right and you are wrong, but he wil never admit it because you are a liberal and I am not.

Right Hans? LOL Party over truth.

You are wrong, Larry. You are able to vote for both senate seats, just as is anyone else in kansas.

Larry

I know because His name wasn't on My ballot when I went to vote.

Both senate seats do not come open at the same time.

Where is that map that shows 'senatorial districts'?

Maybe Hans can help you find it. LOL

Larry,

Typically they don't have both Senators from a single state up for reelection the same year.

Roughly 1/3 of Senators run for reelection every 2 years for the 6 year term.

Senators do represent the entire state, and each state has 2 no matter the population.

Of course you are correct, Goat. But the betting is hot and heavy for how many posts the self-congratulations will continue.

Here is a map that shows Kansas's four congression districts. It was simple to find. A map that shows the alleged senatorial districts you say exist should be just as easy.

Where is it? maybe Hans can help you find it and he'll have another 'gotcha' and thread to throw back at me three years from now. LOL

www.kansasheritage.org

"But the betting is hot and heavy for how many posts the self-congratulations will continue."

Not to mention, the creepy obsession with Hans.

I'm not seeking congratulations, SAR. And to be honest, I am pursuing this more as a jab at Hans, not Larry. Hans was quick to show a picture of a guy with his head up his ass implying it was me, when clearly I was correct and Larry was wrong. My point is that with Hans, it is party over truth. It isn't so much to do with Larry.

Larry

Then show us the senatorial district map for kansas, Larry.

In 2008 Pat Roberts was up for re election. His name did not appear upon My ballot for voting. Now tell Me I am full of shit. Come on I dare You.

Well then you made your point many posts ago. You now tread on the line of appearing worse than those you mock.

How many people do Congressmen/women and Senators represent?

Members of the House each represent part of their state, a Congressional District, which average about 600,000 people. There are 100 Senators, two per state. Both represent the entire state. This never changes

berkley.house.gov

LARRY

That's weird Roberts wasn't on your ballot. You should call the election commission and inquire about that....

And I'm sorry Larry, but your are just flat out wrong here. Senators represent the entire state, and, as AU stated, 1/3 are up for re-election every 2 years.

Roberts was on the ballot last Nov. Brownback was not..

from Wiki...

rownback defeated U.S. Senator Sheila Frahm, who had been appointed to fill the seat of U.S. Senator Bob Dole in 1996, when Dole resigned in the middle of his term to campaign for president. In the general election, he defeated Democrat Jill Docking and was elected to a full term in the Senate in 1998. He won a five person re-election in the 2004 Senate election with 69% of the vote, defeating his Democratic challenger, Lee Jones, a former Washington, D.C. lobbyist.

Brownback is a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Senate Appropriations Committee (where he chaired the Subcommittee on District of Columbia when the Republicans were in the majority), the Joint Economic Committee, and the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission. He is the current Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, which monitors compliance with international agreements reached in cooperation with Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

Brownback has announced that he would not run for reelection in 2010, in accordance with his support of term limits for members of Congress.[11] It has been rumored that Brownback may run for Governor of Kansas in the 2010 elections.[12]

Then pray tell why can not I vote Yes or no for Pat Roberts when He comes up for re election?? Come on Goatman I dare You!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry

Larry-
Senators represent entire states, two for each state. They have no "districts" within their respective states. They serve six year terms, but the elections are staggered so that approximately one third of the US total of 100 senators (50 states, 2 senators for each state) are up for election every two years, to coincide with the election of US Representatives who serve two year terms and represent certain districts within their respective states.

He wasn't on My ballot SaqnANtonioRogue,./ Now tell Me I am a fucking liar. I dare You.

Larry

You now tread on the line of appearing worse than those you mock.

You are right of course, SAR. I did indeed make my point and with that last post with its link to prove it, I'll now drop it.

BetelG then tell Me why wasn't I allowed to vote for Senator Pat Roberts in 2008?? His name appeared nowhere upon My ballot. Tell Me I am full of shit.

Larry

He wasn't on My ballot SaqnANtonioRogue,./ Now tell Me I am a fucking liar. I dare You.

Larry

#60 | Posted by LarryMohr

Have I ever called you a fucking liar Larry. I mean really, what the hell is the matter with you?

You are not a liar Larry, but you are wrong, wrong, wrong about US Senators. And if Roberts was not on your ballot then there most certainly was an election irregularity and I suggest you follow AU's advice.

Come on tell Me I am full of shit

Then pray tell why wasn't I allowed to say yes or no on re electing Pat Roberts on My voting ballot in 2008?? What say You SanANtonioRogue.

Larry

Poor Sarah.

For someone who pretends to be so 'rough and tumble', she loves to portray herself as the victim every chance she gets.

What happened to you Larry? When did you start thinking anyone who disagrees with you is automatically your enemy?

Get a grip, dude.

Larry-
Either there was a problem with the ballot, or you are mistaken and didn't notice.

That's what I'm afraid of: That times will be so bad under obama that it will be 4 looooooong years. I was hoping for a good president who makes for good conditions where time doesn't drag out.

I'm surprised null is predicting the worst.

Oh and I wished I had RCADE's list that I believe Johnathon Bourne made of many Presidents who didn't have executive experience that Murphy claims qualifies Sarah palin for VP slot. Hell Dubya had "Executive Experience" and look how shitty he turned out.

Someone who can't name the countries in North America is not qualified to serve at a national level, especially as VP to a septuagenarian president with multiple bouts with cancer.

That's it LarRy, let the hate flow, you have to drain the abscess to clear the infection .....

Free yourself for total hate...

Larry -- this site will help you determine if there was a ballot irregularity in your voting district. I do not know your address, off course, so I could not fill in the data.

With your every post you are nearly aquiver with anticipation that the next President will fail. You hope for it, you dream about it, you crave it.

At least with Bush our criticisms were based on his job performance and the fact that he epitomized our worst fears on an almost daily basis.

You can't even wait for Obama to get into office. And if ever there was a time everyone should be hoping and praying the guy is a screaming success, its now.

And don't say you do hope for the best for him because every post you've made would give lie to your words.

No way. LT is my homeboy from TCU.

SANANTONIO

If I could ask, whereabouts are you near Lake Erie?

Suburb on the west side of Cleveland.

I bought one of my cars on eBay last year up there. Guy was from Shaker Heights. This car was his wife's. They're really well to do, she got a new one (why, who knows?), and they just wanted it off the driveway ASAP. I paid 1/4 Blue Book value for it 2 minutes after it popped up on eBay. flew up to Cleveland airport, met him there, and drove it home. Been a killer car!

It was a 5.0 in San Bernardino. Felt even in Santa Clarita. One aftershock.

Yawn. I've become jaded. I didn't feel anything. If you're walking around when it happens most of the times you don't even feel it.

EARTHQUAKE

I bought one of my cars on eBay last year up there. Guy was from Shaker Heights. This car was his wife's. They're really well to do,

#123 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY

Yeah, Shaker Heights is on the east side. That's where all the "old" money and attitude lives. LOL!

When I saw the ad pop up on eBay at 6 am on a Sunday morning for the price they wanted I said "no way!"
So, I clicked the 'Buy It Now' just in case. Turned out they just wanted the space as she'd taken delivery of another one the day before.

The guy was a terrific seller. Even had the oil changed and the car detailed before I flew up. Best deal on a car I've ever gotten.

I never made it to Shaker Heights. He met me at the airport. Based on him, the 'old money' folks are A-OK!

"It was a 5.0 in San Bernardino. Felt even in Santa Clarita. One aftershock."

Child's play. I was disappointed. Didn't even notice the aftershock.

Suburb on the west side of Cleveland.

I've a good friend who lives SW of Cleveland whom I visit once a year. Known him since my navy days. He has a lakeside cottage in Canada (near Halliburton) and we go up there. It's beautiful. I like Cleveland, too.

Good National Championship game, eh?

I like Cleveland, too.

Surprisingly, Cleveland is a pretty nice place to live. (If the economy would just come back a little) Once you get past the winters, its a great area for all kinds of recreation. This time of year I do miss Texas, though.

HERM - I'm still waiting to hear of obama's qualifications. Somehow they were missed among all the hoopla. Maybe you can personally enlighten me.

Allow me.

Google Newt Gingrich, and then make Gingrich black and raised by a single mother, then double the educational accomplishments of Gingrich and triple the intelligence and amount of work, minus the dumping the cancerous wife, hypocrisy, and multiple divorces in the wake of clandestine affairs.

There you have Obama.

I'm still waiting to hear of obama's qualifications.

It's a little late to be worried about that.

Damn. I know politicians always think it's someone else's fault, but this woman takes it to new heights.

""I knew it didn't go well the first day, and then we gave her a couple of other segments after that. And my question to the campaign was, after it didn't go well the first day, why were we going to go back for more?" she said. "Because of however it works in that upper echelon of power brokering in the media and with spokespersons, it was told to me that, yeah, we are going to go back for more. And going back for more was not a wise decision either.""

Why were you going back for more? BECAUSE YOU WERE RUNNING FOR THE VP OF THE UNITED FUCKING STATES. Instead of realizing she's a clueless unqualified moron, she blames others for making her struggle through the bare ass minimum.

"Palin criticized Couric for the way CBS "spliced it together," saying that "so many of the topics brought up were not portrayed as accurately as they could have, should have, been.""

That's funny. The version I saw on youtube was longer than the final version I saw on CBS (or NBC or ABC or whatever...). It seemed the interview was edited significantly to make it shorter and in the the process making Palin look better. I was pissed that they didn't air the full thing in all its glory.

"the Alaska governor responded: "Because, Katie, you're not the center of everybody's universe.""

Unbelievable. Simple, soft toss question in an INTERVIEW that she swung and missed what, four times? And she's pissed at Couric about that?

Every time she opens her mouth my decision to not vote for McCain because of his choice of her is vindicated. She would be dangerous on the national scene not only because of her stupidity, but because she's stupid AND arrogance AND self-righteous.

Mudvayne - Dig

I'm still waiting to hear of obama's qualifications.

Spud's still waiting to hear wot all the much vaunted "experience" of Dick Cheney, George Bush, George Tenet, Donald Rumsfeld et al did for the country that was even remotely positive.

Take yer time.

Mudvayne - Happy?

yo Rex what's the haps?

Spud's still waiting to hear wot all the much vaunted "experience" of Dick Cheney, George Bush, George Tenet, Donald Rumsfeld et al did for the country that was even remotely positive.

They took their country's armed forces to the other side of the earth and conquered two (2) repulsive regimes within a matter of days.

They prevented any terrorist attack on U.S. soil after 9/11

They pissed off the transnational, western European sophisticates (i.e. "the world"--to morons like you) and reminded them of their own impotence and self-loathing as they continued to commit cultural suicide.

They put Alito and Roberts on the Supreme Court

Thet presided over a fairly booming economy for the majority of their tenure

Jak you are a moron. Roberts and Alito suck for protecting our civil liberties.

the booming economy was built on a foundation of lies and you see the recession we are in. We would have been better of with a moderate economy.

Did we really achieve anything by conquering those regimes? I say not really just the deaths of our soldiers.

Does pissing off the rest of the world benefit us?
No not really.

Get a clue. You claim to be so brilliant I haven't seen it yet. You just have a thesaurus to seem witty. your ideas are empty much like your head.

Washington wins over Stanford!

fuck yea bixatches!

Rex you should start a friday night pr0n thread.

They took their country's armed forces to the other side of the earth and conquered two (2) repulsive regimes within a matter of days.

They used their massive military superiority to practically destroy an entire country in order to kill Saddam Hussein (a former long time US ally) and temporarily ousted the Taliban (who themselves were a byproduct of America's earlier attempts to give the Soviets their own Vietnam back in the 80s) from Afghanistan.

The Taliban are resurgent in Afghanistan and will, no doubt have to be brought into talks in order for any kind of a long term peace deal to occur and the largest (and most expensive) embassy EVAR in Baghdad will remain a sitting duck for non-stop Iraqi aggresion against wot they rightfully percieve as the unjustified aggresor/invader/occupier nation, the US.

In order to do all this they spent more money than the US spent in WWII. All while giving massive tax breaks to corporations and the monied elite.

You call that victory? Spud calls it EPIC FAIL.

They prevented any terrorist attack on U.S. soil after 9/11

Narf! They deliberately ALLOWED 9/11 to occur in order to sell the war to the American people by utilising the all too willing MSM to perpetuate the myth that Sadddam had something to do with 9/11.

They pissed off the transnational, western European sophisticates (i.e. "the world"--to morons like you) and reminded them of their own impotence and self-loathing as they continued to commit cultural suicide

Pissing off an entire planet as yer economic hegemony circles the bowl is not a WIN, Mao.

They put Alito and Roberts on the Supreme Court

See: EPIC FAIL once again.

They presided over a fairly booming economy for the majority of their tenure.

The economy is an example of BushCo WIN?

MSM is stupidly petty and vindictive with damn near everyone at some level. Obviously, some more than others...but palin is ridiculous, as usual.

It's everyone elses fault she bombed with lightweight couric, of course.

And a VP is going to get more scrutiny than a selected senator, especially if the POTUS is a 4 time cancer survivor. Plus, the media has been kinda harsh on Kennedy. She deserves it for those terrible interviews, though.

POTUS = POTUS Candidate.

And pray tell is wrong with the spelling of trool?? It's a combination of troll+tool= trool. It wouldn't look right if one were to type trooll hence trool. Oh and Yes I spelt Hillarious wrong. I never claimed the spell very good. Sorry to burst Your bubble.

Kennedy got a pass?

How so? It was all over the news. I saw the story on all of the major networks and everyone here seems to know about it.

Before you start screaming in Palins defense, think about the fact that;

1. People are rather burnt out on political coverage after two years of intense scrutiny.

2. Palin was running for the number two spot in the land right behind a 72 year-old man who has had cancer 5 times. Kennedy isn't even yet a candidate in the Senate race yet and most likely won't get it anyways.

Palin's response is "it's someone elses fault", "I didn't do a bad interview", it was Couric's fault"

typical right wing blame some one else! it's the libs fault she's dumb! Come on Palin accept some responsibility!

Palin doesn't understand an 'interview'.

The interviewer asks questions, the interviewee answers them.

Having watched Couric's interview, I'm stuck trying to come up with a single question a first year Congressmen couldn't answer. Asking someone where they get their news? Sooooo tough. Which newspapers does she read (after she claimed from newspapers)? Fumbled.

Palin 2012!!!! Guaranteed Dem in the White House another 24 years.

Quick, someone throw their shoes at Palin

Don't forget to add socialist leanings, radical associations, an excessive amount of self-love, questionable political tactics, supporting & encouraging blatant voter-fraud, an America-hating, bitter wife, a complete lack of experience & a MSM on their knees blowing you while ignoring all of the things about you that make you unsuitable to be president at the same time they celebrate your "blackness" which we aren't supposed to care about anyway.

Palin is a whiner. Hillary didn't whine about all the sexism focused on her. Listen to the righties talk about what it would be like to have a woman in the White House----before Palin was nominated of course---then they flip flop like Bush.

www.youtube.com

"Hillary didn't whine about all the sexism focused on her"

That is because she has no shortage of media & so-called womens' groups to be indignant for her so she looks like she's "above" it. What a bunch of crap! Besides, sexism is in truth about sex & they are much harder on good-looking women, women are especially guilty of this more so than men, & Palin is way hotter than Hildebeast.

Play the lib media card. Standard conservative bullshit.

A sterotype gets to be one by being true.

Obama's qualifications are the number of votes he received.

But I'm really surprised about the lack of drudge righties saying sarah should shut up, because the election is over and she's just another governor. That's what they usually say when there's an article critical of her here. They wouldn't be hypocritical, would they?

I just had to laugh at the exchange between Larry, Goatman, and Hans on this post.

It is posts like that - that reaffirm my belief that there should be a basic knowledge test given before you have the right to vote.

Immigrants have to pass a test of this sort of knowledge before we make them citizens and give them the right to vote...so why not to the democrats?

( all Republicans would pass - that is why they are republicans)

Oh...and by the way....you have to admit the kid glove approach to ANY Dem by the press vrs ANY Republican ( Not just Palin - Do you see them saying "Blago - the Democrat Governor"...Nope. They only highlight the party for Republicans)

But you sheep follow the press, believe the Dems, and now you are going to get what you voted for as they tax your retirement to hand over the money to those who were too lazy to get a good education or a good job.....baaa baaa OHHH BAAAA MAAAA

People like you that follow the Liberals and vote for unqualified canidates because the press wants you to believe that one is "cool" and the other one isn't are just like sheep following the lead of the shepard.

Everyone that was critical of Palin because of her lack of experience voted someone of even LESS experience for president.

I am not a victim, anymore, or less, than the rest of America that now has a totally inexperienced socialist leading the country into bankruptcy.

And Betelg,

Where Bush added 149B to the debt with the War (which according to the Washington Post is now "Won" - and which Obama voted not to win as "it is unwinnable") as well as 150B for the Medicare Drug package (totally supported by the DEMS) The other 700B (give or take a bill or two) was due to increases in budget voted by the DEM congress over the last two years.

(I can send you the links)

And by the way - The Wonderful one YOU elected has now said he will have Trillion deficit FOR THE FORESEEABLE future. (and we will be out of Iraq in two years)

Funny ...but everything you guys have against Bush is actually now a Policy of the Obama administration.....and the logic is?????

Betelg,

I do not know where you get your figures..(probably from the press) but they are completely wrong.

Here is the table from the Office of Management and Budget.

Fiscal Year In Current Dollars
Receipts Outlays Surplus or Deficit(−)

1995 1,351.8 1,515.8 -164.0
1996 1,453.1 1,560.5 -107.5
1997 1,579.3 1,601.2 -22.0
1998 1,721.8 1,652.6 69.2
1999 1,827.5 1,701.9 125.6
2000 2,025.2 1,788.8 236.4
2001 1,991.2 1,863.8 127.4
2002 1,853.2 2,011.0 -157.8
2003 1,782.3 2,157.6 -375.3
2004 1,798.1 2,318.8 -520.7
2005 2,036.3 2,399.8 -363.6
2006 2,205.7 2,473.3 -267.6
2007 2,350.8 2,592.1 -241.3
2008 estimate 2,485.3 2,724.3 -239.0
2009 estimate 2,616.4 2,853.5 -237.1

As you can see the total of the "Bush" years is about 1.8T for all the 8 years. Vrs the Obama projected 1 Trillion PER YEAR.

If you are "whinning" about Bushing adding a Trillion over his entire 8 year term...why are you happy about Obama spending 3 X that - and how do you think that spending will fix anything?

"You see gov't as the problem even though under a democratic republic as outlined in the US Constitution you ARE the gov't."

The People are no longer the government. They choose who comprises the government - but they don't get to choose from their peers. They get to choose from a handful of lying, power-hungry millionaires after two years of irrelevant public-relations fodder. So to claim that it is unpatriotic to say "govt is the problem" because somehow "we" are the government is disingenuous. I don't think 95% of those in the upper levels of our government have any frame of reference when it comes to understanding average americans.

Bush added 1.2 trillion THIS YEAR, and ran ~ 500 billion dollar deficits EVERY YEAR of his eight year tenure, dufus.

Ok..this is the 2nd time I will have responded to you with the post....I wonder why it is being blocked.

It's a link to the 2005 data with estimates for everything afterwards. It's not blocked - you have to right-mouse key, then download the excel data. You can copy the link and back up a few directories in the URL to see the source/date.

Common - The war numbers are 600B AUTHORIZED - Not spent

zfacts.com

In addition - those numbers DO include the military spending which included in the deficit numbers (there is about 200 B in the 600 B that is for the National Guard and other expenses)

The other 400B is for infrastructure (power plants, bridges, hospitals) that also has not been fully spent.

So...not a trillion...600 B...and not all spent.

But why should you care...you voted for a guy that intends on spending a Trillion in debt EACH YEAR WITHOUT a war.

Just a citizen of a representative democracy as established under the US Constitution whose gov't you have been taught is the enemy while oddly still proclaiming your deep and abiding "patriotism".

And you're nuts.

Betelg - before you call someone a Dufus you should have your facts straight. The ones you think are the right numbers come from a press release put out by the Dems. Look at the actual numbers I sent you. Those are the real ones...or as real as anything can get around Washington.

But on a larger point. Why do you care? You voted for a guy that will add a TRILLION each year and REDISTRIBUTE to: Africa, Middle East, Illegal Immigrants, and those too lazy to get off thier asses and work.

As for "THIS YEAR" or the last TWO it is the CONGRESS OF THE US that holds the purse strings - and spends the money. In this case a lot of the expenditures were for increases in the basic budgets of various departments...some up as much as 50%.

I blame Bush for not vetoing it...but I blame the Democratic congress for spending it.

Good riddance to the "accountability presidency", its party, and its apologists.

W is God-
It's really not my fault that your emotions couldn't talk your way out of a grocery bag.

It's Friday! Adios folks.

"Since the gov't is the enemy now"

Nobody said that - other than you.

"to what entity are you a "patriot"?

Considering that I've never called myself a "patriot," that question is interesting, but if I had to, I'd say I'm patriotic toward the America I see as ideal. In other words, an idea.

And I don't have to worship politicians and governments that don't act in accordance with the Constitution or in accordance with my idea of what America should be like, just to avoid being called unpatriotic by stupid pricks like you.

Oh look, Boyd.

Somebody paid attention to you.

FOSHAFFER

The amount of deficits during Bush's term can be figured from what the debt was when his first budget passed ($5.6 Trillion) subtracted from what it is today ($10.2 Trillion)

That's $5.6 Trillion in deficit spending (Not including Iraq War or Bailout - another $1.4 Trillion)

Total added to national debt during Bush's term:

$7,000,000,000,000,000 ($7 Trillion)

Where you got $1.8 Trillion is anybody's guess, but it's not an accurate figure by any stretch of the imagination.

Now, ask yourself with a projected $1.2 trillion deficit in the 2009 (Bush's budget) why $400-500,000,000,000,000 of that is to service the national debt - a debt that's DOUBLED during Bush's term.

American,

I pulled the figures from the Government web site.

Whether you go with the numbers that I got or yours doesn't really matter. You guys are flipping out over the deficit and praising a guy that now says it will be trillions for years to come and is planning on spending more and more.

If you are so concerned about the deficit why in the world would you vote for Obama?

You know and I know that the "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States"

You can lay on Bush that he did not veto the spending legislation...but the spending is congresses and the last two years have been controlled by the Dems which now control both houses (and the large deficit that are posted)

If the DEMS wanted less deficit they can put in the funding resolutions to lower the amount of expenditure today with or without Bushes consent..but they havn't. The deficit could almost be gone just by flat lining expenditures against all departments...but it isn't. The Republicans fought against doing the spending resolutions (700B) that Paulson and Bush wanted ( to date only 350 has been allocated the other 350 is being held for Obama) without some controls...the DEMs did not.

So I agree with you that spending like this is highly inflationary in the long run very detrimental to the country - that is why I did not vote for Obama nor the other Democrats. It is also why I find it ludicrous that the same people who are so scared of the deficit would vote for the party that keeps expanding Government.

Largest expansion of the Federal Government and largest addition to national debt:

2002-2009

Which is why I can't figure out how you could ever bash anyone but the GOP for what the Republicans did with total control of government.

Largest expansion of the Federal Government and largest addition to national debt:

2002-2009

Sorry, but the first part of your statement is incorrect. The largest in 50 years maybe... but the largest ever? Not a fucking chance. FDR has Bush beat in the expansion area by a fair amount.

As for the largest addition to national debt... maybe. I haven't done the research on this, but after adjusting previous debt for inflation, I would have to question that assertion.

FDR - Depression and 25% unemployment
Bush- Nope

I'm making the point that the GOP has zero room to bitch about deficits. Not when they singlehandedly presided over the largest deficits and increase in national debt in American history - resulting in ever increasing deficits.

Now, with a $12 TRILLION national debt (bailout and Iraq War figured in) our debt service payments alone will approach $500,000,000,000 a year.

The $1.2 TRILLION deficit for FY 2009 does not include the bailout.

$232 Surplus under last Clinton budget (2009) to deficits in the hundreds of billions, and now trillions, the last 8 years.

That's what you get from Cheney's "deficits don't matter". Guess they do!

$232 Surplus under last Clinton budget (2002)

What's really sick is Clinton laid out a plan to pay down the national debt and shore up SS

Bush and the GOP busted that all to hell, didn't they?

Not when they singlehandedly presided over the largest deficits and increase in national debt in American history

Sorry, you still haven't proven this assertion. Large increases... definitely. The largest... possibly. You still have to prove this though especially when previous deficits and national debt increases are adjusted for inflation to compare with.

Either way, your idea that the GOP, or by implication anyone that has voted Republican, can't complain is a bogus claim. We can complain all we want. If it isn't a good thing then it isn't a good thing... the fact that others have done it before doesn't make it magically a good thing when your side does it. If anything your side doing it after complaining so much about the Republican's doing it removes your right to complain about them since you obviously don't think it is wrong now. Are you willing to stop complaining about the spending during Bush's term just to justify Obama's spending? I think not.

As for your FDR "Depression" angle.... so fucking what? Either he had the largest expansion of government power ever or he didn't. Hint: he did.

Trying to claim it was Bush that did is incorrect. You can argue rational for the expansion... but then you also have to figure in 9/11 specifically and the terrorist threats in general on Bush's side.

The Republicans (including you) here haven't been bitching about deficits, have they?

The GOP deserves to be in the wilderness for the next several decades. Like the old Smith-Barney ad: They EARNED it the old fashioned way.

9/11 plays little role. $600,000,000,000 on Iraq. $7,000,000,000,000 (TRILLION) in added debt. Sure, buddy!

The GOP dance is fucking amazing to witness.

I turned on Hannity yesterday afternoon for 5 minutes. 5 minutes of already laying the financial crisis and massive national debt at Obama's feet.

Was there a SINGLE word about WHO presided over all this debt and mess? Of course not.

The GOP and their mouthpieces are fucking laughable

No wonder the GOP is a shrinking now minority party who lost and lost and lost elections this year. Americans aren't stupid, but it sure seems like the hardest core Republicans are.

The Republicans (including you) here haven't been bitching about deficits, have they?

Do you think I am happy with the deficit? Is that really what you are saying? What makes you think that? Just because I didn't bitch about it to you on here? No... I am not happy about the deficit. Yes, I think Bush has been much more liberal with the spending than I like by a LONG shot. Whether I complain about it on here or not (and I HAVE complained about Bush's policies at times) doesn't mean diddly squat since the DR is such a small part of my life, and no part at all of most Republicans' lives. I am not going to - as the left seems to like doing- find fault in every little thing Bush does, but don't presume to tell me what I think about any particular issue. I will tell YOU what I think... not the other way around.

The GOP deserves to be in the wilderness for the next several decades.

If you think that, then if you are a rational person (and I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt here) then you should think the same for the Democrats if they continue on with deficit spending. Especially after all the stink raised over the Republicans. If you don't then any further complaints on your part can be automatically dismissed as partisan rubbish.

9/11 plays little role.

Actually since that expansion of government you were talking about (Homeland Security) was created after 9/11 in direct response to the issues raised and/or exposed by 9/11 it was not a "little role" at all but the PRIMARY role in the expansion.

The GOP dance is fucking amazing to witness.

It takes someone skilled in dancing to appreciate it. Obviously you have some skill yourself.

No wonder the GOP is a shrinking now minority party who lost and lost and lost elections this year.

Sorry, but two election cycles of Democrat gains at the end of an 8 year Republican presidency and about 12 years of Republican dominance in both houses of Congress is hardly an indication of a disappearing Republican party. It is actually to be expected. Even more so with a bad economy.

If the Democrats keep those gains up over the next couple of election cycles you will have a little more ground to stand on for that assertion, but even then it will be a shaky claim. After all, did the Democrats disappear, or were they ever in danger of disappearing, just because the Republican's kept spanking them election after election for 12 years? Hardly.

The GOP didn't match their rhetoric with reality.

Even within the party they can't agree who they are and what they actually stand for. Lots of infighting.

I'm as glad to see them gone as most Americans are.

The GOP didn't match their rhetoric with reality.

That much we are agreed upon. Sounds sort of like what happened with the Democrats in the early 90's.

Even within the party they can't agree who they are and what they actually stand for. Lots of infighting.

As there has been and continues to be within the Democratic Party.

I'm as glad to see them gone as most Americans are.

Except they aren't gone. The electorate is fickle as you should well know by this time. Don't start getting comfortable. The political winds can and will change, as they always do.

MOOMANFL

Enjoy the playoffs this weekend.

I'm gonna hit the sack again. Later

Take care man.

Don't start getting comfortable. The political winds can and will change, as they always do.

Absolutely right, Moom.

Been saying that for 12 or 8 or 4 years, but some feel the party will never end. The pendulum always swings, just a question of when.

It may swing back right sooner if Perle and Rove and Cheney and them can sell their latest brand of bullshit, namely "It wasn't us, it was those other dudes."

The SODDIT defense.

Please, just GO AWAY Sarah!

She sure gets everyone's panties in a bunch. You have to wonder why & why the incessant desire to bring her down & demean her. It's almost like a preemptive strike isn't it?

"W is God-
I'm was truly curious. You hate your gov't, and yet are a "patriot". It's clear that you have never given much thought to the question, though I'm sure you've been inspired to devote much emotion to it"

A few quotes to answer perhaps:

"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government."
Edward Abbey (my personal favorite)

"Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it."
Mark Twain

"My affections were first for my own country, then, generally, for all mankind"
Thomas Jefferson

Please, just GO AWAY Sarah!

She'll be around as long as people keep mentioning her name (as you just did)

Fight back! If at a press conferance the press is being demeaning, insult them on their stupidity. If you go on SNL and its live, insult Tina Fey in front of the country. If these politicians are as witty and smart as they claim and the press always appears as dumb as a box of rocks it should be easy to turn the tables. It puts them in their place and they will respect you a little more. If that doesn't work then really go after them at every chance. If they get physical, well that just goes to show they want to dish it out but can't take it. This should be something you learned in school growing up - don't take Crap from others.

Whimper Whimper Whine Whine. Can't stand the heat? Here's a hint - get OUT of the kitchen! And STAY out of Washington! You think you had it bad this time around? And you actually think you are Presidential material? LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! LOL! You just stay up there in IglooLand, Sarah. Talk to the polar bears you have had killed. Discuss politics with the wolves you hunt down from airplanes. Do whatever you want, just stay out of the Lower 48! Cuz baby, you had it easy this time around. People made excuses for you. But next time? Not so much.

Smartypants

Good advice--except Sarah palin is simply stupid. She has none of the skills reqwuired to turn the tables on anyone. She got flak from the press because she said stupid things.

"Talk to the polar bears you have had killed. Discuss politics with the wolves you hunt down from airplanes"

Sigh...........

Do you realize what an ass you sound like? Lots of people hunt you liberal pussy, get over it.

Please, just GO AWAY Sarah!

Why? She's comedy gold.

Hey Hate - Polar bears are on the brink of extinction and Palin wants them off the endangered species list so she can what - line her bathroom with their pelts? No, because they are in the way of the megabucks she will rake in with that gas pipeline. As for the wolves - it is against federal law - that's a FEDERAL CRIME - to hunt wolves from airplanes but apparently your girl thinks the law was made for anyone but her. Nice. Very nice. As for hunting - my entire family hunts you asshole - can you tell me exactly what sport there is in gunning down a terrified animal from an airplane with a high-powered rifle? Come on! THAT'S for pussies.

The whole Polar Bear thing shouldn't upset you libs who love some evolution & letting nature takes its course. Maybe their time is just over & they're destined to become extinct? She could breastfeed baby seals & you'd still hate her. Why if she is so irrelevant can't anyone leave her alone? Fear! That's why!

Fear of what?

You seem to have trouble discerning the difference between fear and ridicule. Our best hope for Obama to get reelected would be for Palin to be his opponent in 2012---either her--or Pat Robertson again.

Quick, someone call the Waaaaahhhhhhmbulance.

Fear of what?

You seem to have trouble discerning the difference between fear and ridicule.

No... you seem to have a problem recognizing ridicule for what it is:

"Ridicule is a public confession of fear." -- Vanna Bonta

"Ridicule is the tribute paid to the genius by the mediocrities." -- Oscar Wilde

"Ridicule has historically proven itself a rickety fence for great ideas." -- Vanna Bonta

"Ridicule is the first and last argument of fools." -- Charles Simmons

"First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win." -- Mahatma Ghandi

"Ridicule is generally made use of to laugh men out of virtue and good sense, by attacking everything praiseworthy in human life." -- Joseph Addison

"Mockery is the weapon of those who have no other." -- Hubert Pierlot

"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception."
- Groucho Marx

"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll make an exception."

I doubt it. There will be a new thread about her tomorrow. Or at least about trig the retard.
