Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush announced today he won't run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 to succeed the retiring Republican Sen. Mel Martinez. "Now is not the right time to return to elected office," Bush said in a prepared statement issued from his Miami office.

That's step one.

Thank you, Lord.

We've suffered enough.

""Now is not the right time to return to elected office,"

Translation: My brother has ruined the name Bush for all eternity.

Can't you guys revoke the whole fucking family's citizenship and deport them to somalia or baghdad? C'mon, make a reality show of it and take bets in vegas on how long they would survive.

When GWB took office, gas was $1.46

Like Kennedys and Clintons enough Bushes...no dynasties of any kind...isn't this what people died fighting for? All federal jobs should have some limits.

So what--gas is $1.68 now--what is your point?

He's going to run for president next time as the con messiah.

"Now is not the right time to return to elected office,"

Rough translation: the people of Florida aren't stupid enough to elect me to the Senate.

Grabbing the senate seat in 2010 would position Jeb perfectly for a 2016 run for president. Unless he thinks he'd have to fight to retain the senate seat while also running for president.

Another interpretation: he hopes to run for president in 2014 and is betting on Obama tanking.

Third, and frankly the one I fervently hope for, Jeb realizes that the Bush dynasty is over, utterly and permanently over...

Ask the asshole how much Lehman Bros paid him to dump their worthless stock of his former State Employees?

Then send Shrub to the Hague.

Then arrest his Father for high Treason, for trading missiles for our Iranian Hostages in a secret deal arranged BEFORE and delivered AFTER Carter was defeated.

Too late to charge Prescott for High Treason, plotting to overthrow Roosevelt by Military Coup along with JP Morgan and other high rollers.

But you can never run away from fraud or murder, so we can still get Neil for his role in the Silverado Savings and Loan collapse.

Smurph you're making yourself look like an idoit,,,again.

Read the article.

I didn't think the Washington Times article I linked to was all that complicated. What part do you need help with?

no shizzy libertarian gi. looks like you've been around for only a few months, but you will see that Smurphy makes imbicile statements on a daily basis. She never fails to one up herself.

I can't believe you posted such nonsense, but then again, it is your mental ability that shows with every post.

Jeff J has really outdone himself with the murphy character.

Well gas in 1998 was .79 cents a gallon Murphy imagine THAT.

Some right-wing rag like the Washington Times is trying to portray the low gas prices as if Bush is somehow now doing a good job?

I guess the WT just wants everyone to forget the 7 years in between?

After watching his brother trip, stumble and then french fried in the public eye, why the fuck would he want to be in politics anyway?

Come to think of it, why the fuck would anybody want that job?

Good luck O, try not to trip.

im not a religous man but i could get that way if it would save us from the almighty bushes. praise god from whom all blessings flow.

So there is no point--right?

I mean you want to criticize Bush--fine--what is new.

The price of gas --from the link-- is actually better than when Bush first took office.

"Incredible savings".

"Incredible savings".

At the price of a near depression? Murphy, your boy is a human megavirus.

Jeb boy knows if he ran for the senate in 2010 he would get wiped of the floor by a gay liberal. He would never run again. Oh, he'll be back, but first the RNC has to find some fool to donate enough money to buy him a seat. Right now, the RNC can't pay attention.

"The price of gas --from the link-- is actually better than when Bush first took office."< We have a weiner!!! Good god Smurph you are amazing. You see it as being critical of the prez? Really? Did you read the article? It is "incredible savings". I was one of those paying $75 for a fillup, yesterday I payed $27 and that was with the gas light on when I pulled into the station. God you're a moron.

now if we could just get rid of the kennedy diansty.

TOBILLOS ARRIBA!!

His father is pushing him for President the genius. Old age is a bitch just like Jebby.

GHWB is trying to salvage the Family name by having Jebby Boy polish the turd left by His brother. It's plain as day what GHWB is doing.

Viva El Futuro Presidente, Jeb Bush. To hell with Al (El Chavista) Franken. Viva the present Circus of El Donkey, that is going on in Illinois, in New York, and in Washington, D.C. What a Change! You wanted change? You are getting change. Count your blessings for the pennies from heaven that you still have in your pockets. This is going to be better than, As The World Turns, and Days of Our Lives. If you think that Gone With The Wind is a classic, wait to see what is coming in the next four years. Please play it again in that piano for me, Sam. You know, that song that says, "you must remember this, a lib is still a lib." Okay, let me get my drink, so I can toast you: "Here's looking at you, libs."

MRRETAIL-
It may fascinate or confuse you to know that the words you just strung together were meaningless.

Two suggestions:
1. Put down the drink.
2. Put down the Blockbuster catalog.

Dang, some of you guys are so stupid. The price of oil is tied to futures contracts. The economy is so bad because of gross mismanagement and the ridiculously high prices of oil for the past 8 years, that people just quit driving as much. This cause a sudden glut of oil. Now, some people think this was because of the fine fiscal management of the Bush administration?

2010 is a bit too soon for the stink to wear off.

My guess is that JEB will try to fulfill his destiny (and his commitment to PNAC) in 2012, depending on Obama's first term.

Daddy Bush probably heard peels of laughter all the way down in Texas when he sent out that little trial balloon about his hope and dreams for JEB.

They'll need at least a decade (and a ton of lipstick) to package and sell another member of the Bush family.

Oh yeah LOTS of Lipstick and silk purses out of sows ears too. I swear Daddy Bush is heartbroken I do believe. You kinda want to feel sorry for the old man.

Larry

I don't feel sorry for the old man, LARRY

He knows the score.

#41 was just putting out a 'feeler' to gauge the reception.

JEB is no different than any other PNAC warmongering nutcase. He's just next in line in a succession of neocon puppets who do as they're told.

President, my foot! Neocons don't have "presidents." They have front men.

I agree TwinPac. I just sometimes wonder if the old man is in cahoots with the PNACers or if that is strictly His 2 Sons mess. THAT is one thing that I ponder at times.

Larry

Ponder no more, LARRY

The old man isn't as active as he used to be ever since Carlyle went belly up but he's still in the loop and very much in cahoots.

And apples don't fall very far from the tree.

If Clinton hadn't thrown an 8 year monkey wrench into the mix, we'd already be on our 3rd Bush in the White House.

They were trying to create a single party majority with a unitary executive which they intended to last forever.

It didn't work but they haven't given up.

Enter JEB in 2012 or 2016 if America lets down it's guard and buys into a re-packaged neocon with a prettier bow on top.

Thank God...Two Bushes in a lifetime is more than enough. Bush 41 was mediocre at best, and 43 was a total disaster. the Toad

Jeb realizes that the Bush dynasty is over, utterly and permanently over...

Never misunderestimate the stupidity of the American people.

They gave Bushie another four years in 04.

The neocons don't understand the words "it's over."

They just regroup and attack from a different direction. If JEB is still too toxic, it'll be some other political goon willing to sell his soul for the title.

There's no shortage.

thank god
