Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

As Republicans struggle to determine the future of their party after a tough election, intraparty tensions have flared over three forums next week that may prove crucial to determining the winner of the six-way race for the chair of the Republican National Committee a post that will hold considerable sway over the direction of the GOP. "Some people are pissed off at [Americans for Tax Reform President] Grover [Norquist]. Some people are pissed off at the Conservative Steering Committee. Some people are pissed off at [current RNC chair] Mike Duncan. Some people are pissed off at social conservatives. The social conservatives are pissed at leaders in Congress," said a Republican consultant who has worked with the RNC. "Everyone is basically pissed."

Rather see em pissed on.

I am looking for one faction to emerge victorious from a vicious intraparty war and purge the committee of infidels.

Hopefully, it will be the religious. They are definitely the most amusing and will conduct the purge in a most, uh, religious manner.

will conduct the purge in a most, uh, religious manner.

Burning at the stake?
Crucifixion?
Torture chambers and Priests in stinking, bloody robes?

Oh, yeah, sounds like a good time to be had by all.

Unless you're a rethug on the losing team.....

The rest of us can watch and laugh.

Maybe you Pubs should ask why people are pissed and change your ways. Come on "barack the magic negroe" and you didn't think that was insensitive, thats why you don't get the minority or women vote in this country. Its because you guys are so stupid and I put the emphsis on "so".

"Barrack the magic negroe" never heard of that one did he live by the sea, oh well now it is the democrats turn to show how much better they are and your buddy Ruler and Dictator of the house Nancy Pelosi has already started by changing the senate rules so the minority party basically has no say so at all. Nancy has canceled the contract with America that had been in place since around 1997 and provided the minority party which was Democrat at the time with some say. Now the Republican party has no say at all under the new draconian rules, personally I think it is great now when congress screws up it has to be the fault of the Democrats as republicans have been sidelined and will be held accountable for nothing at all. Now we have a Magic Democratic for President and a dictator for speaker of the house that means everything that goes wrong will be the fault of democrats as republicans have no say in the matter good luck with that plan at election time...

"Now we have a Magic Democratic for President and a dictator for speaker of the house that means everything that goes wrong will be the fault of democrats as republicans have no say in the matter good luck with that plan at election time..."

Hmmmm, but what is the goal of the Democrats anyway???
Could it be.....to repair the damage the Republicans have done????
Yes, I think so.

Now that The Wormwood Society Absinthe Association has been heard from. . .

Doc the new draconian rules straight from the ruler and dictator speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi leave the democrats holding the bag for everything that goes wrong to that end I like the new rules, cancelling the contract with America and side lining the republicans only leaves one party to blame for everything that goes wrong the democrats will be to blame from now on good luck...

Yes, I think so.

Only time will tell Danni but for now Nancy P has made the Democrats solely responsible from this point on. Come election time the new rules may have been a mistake on her part Later have to go...

"the democrats will be to blame from now on good luck..."

He whose blind partisanship obliterates possibility of discerning antecedants doomed to catch boomerang in yap.
~Master "Take That" Po

And that said, no question but that the Dems must take responsibility---for they'll surely take on the blame---for the goings on to come. But the Reps demanding they do so is beyond hilarious.

"Hmmmm, but what is the goal of the Democrats anyway???"

It is the goal of ANY political organization. Their goal is to increase their power. If you think it is anything else, you are deluding yourself.

"Could it be.....to repair the damage the Republicans have done????
Yes, I think so."

HAHAHahaha...You must be into the heavy stuff this morning. Snort, choke, hahaha...

When will the righties take responsibility for the god damned depression they caused???
It's a bit ridiculous for them to no be pre-blaming the Dems for not being able to repair our economy fast enough.
We are trillions of dollars in debt because of Republican leadership, until the debt is paid down the responsibility for our economic spiral will still fall on those who caused it no matter how loudly they try to blame those who are now trying to fix it.
Don't forget...this is the REPUBLICAN DEPRESSION OF 2008 no matter what that fat, drug addicted liar says.

He whose blind partisanship obliterates possibility of discerning antecedants doomed to catch boomerang in yap.

Doc antecedents aside it would be supercilious to ignore the change in protocol doctrine that marginalizes the minority party leaving only the upper power brokers to blame for all that does not go well...

'it would be supercilious to ignore the change in protocol doctrine that marginalizes the minority party leaving only the upper power brokers to blame for all that does not go well..."

Marginalilzing the minority party does a number of things. It really, really pisses them off; when it's their turn to assume a position of leadership (assuming they get that far), chances are they won't behave much better to the former majority than it behaved towards them. It's terrible politics, because while it focuses the credit on your team for whatever (very likely few and marginal) successes are achieved, it also focuses blame for whatever might go awry (the consequences of which you'll be far more likely to willingless embrace). (By the way, when I say "you," I don't mean you as a poster; more general meaning intended.) Also, it's irresponsible governing practice: I'd like to see the opposition brought in as much as possible.

That is, assuming we're trying to do what's best for the country. And in that, both parties have long and often proven themselves woefully inadequate.

"Don't forget...this is the REPUBLICAN DEPRESSION OF 2008 no matter what that fat, drug addicted liar says.

Granted I wasn't alive for the Great Depression in this nation's history, but if what we are going through now is a depression there were a lot of whiners back in the 30s. :)

Nobody would say this economy is great by any stretch of the imagination, but come on we don't have massive bread lines, or jam packed soup kitchens there are no Hoover(Bush)-Ville bum villages throughout our major cities. We're in a rough patch right now, but this isn't a Depression... Limbaugh does suck though.

Don't forget...this is the REPUBLICAN DEPRESSION OF 2008 no matter what that fat, drug addicted liar says.

I was not aware that God had actually damned our current finical crisis it is interesting however that the entire planet is having an economic crises. What I am pointing out is Republicans did not shut down the marginalized Democratic party when they were in power, yet Nancy Pelosi has chosen to rewrite the house rules in such a way as to leave the Republicans without any recourse, and in so doing has also left all accountability at the feet of the Democrats from this point forward meaning any and all mistakes will be Democratic ones with republicans ostracized certainly they are not to blame from this point forward.

"That is, assuming we're trying to do what's best for the country. And in that, both parties have long and often proven themselves woefully inadequate."

2009 is TRULY going to be a magical year. My good ol' buddy, Doc, and I agree in something whole heartedly! Does that mean you're not gonna call me Banjo Boy any more?

"Does that mean you're not gonna call me Banjo Boy any more?"

I wouldn't bet on it.

(As you can well imagine, I was sorely tempted to write, "I wouldn't bet on it, Banjo Boy"---but, hey, what the hell: Let a hundred flowers bloom, let a hundred schools of thought contend...Care to join me in a chorus of "Kumbaya" as the fragile magic of the New Year withstands one more day [or at least the first part of one more day] on the DR?)

Is everyone oblivious to the fact that the Republicans ruled Congress with an iron fist, refusing even to allow Dems to use meeting rooms, hold hearings, etc. Now the same folks who applauded the K Street Project and Tom Delay are whining that the Dems are too controlling......hilarious.

"Care to join me in a chorus of "Kumbaya" as the fragile magic of the New Year withstands one more day [or at least the first part of one more day] on the DR?)"

Wait a minute now. Next you'll be inviting me for a lunch of tofu and bean sprouts with you. Do I have to drink the latte and Perrier?

"Granted I wasn't alive for the Great Depression in this nation's history, but if what we are going through now is a depression there were a lot of whiners back in the 30s. :)"

Correct but I am just reflecting the predictions of many economists who say we are in for a long, hard road of economic decline before we get to recovery.
Hopefully, they are wrong, and some experts do take that view. Time will tell, I'm still working, haven't been foreclosed, and life is still good.

It's terrible politics, because while it focuses the credit on your team for whatever (very likely few and marginal) successes are achieved, it also focuses blame for whatever might go awry (the consequences of which you'll be far more likely to willingless embrace.

Doc that is what I am saying in making such sweeping changes in the house rules Nancy has focused both the blame and credit on the Democratic Party for all future choices and decisions a good move if all goes well and a horrific miscalculation if they should fail to fix our current problems. It is quite a gamble but for the good of the country I hope she is extremely successful. Have to go later...

"Do I have to drink the latte and Perrier?"

How many times do I have to tell you? You snort the latte and inject the Perrier.

"Correct but I am just reflecting the predictions of many economists who say we are in for a long, hard road of economic decline before we get to recovery."

I've definitly heard the same that its going to get worse before it gets better as well. A big help to our economy that we didn't have in the 30s is going to be those social safety nets the right loves to trash. Sure when everything is going well they may seem like handouts, but I'm guessing a lot of people are going to end up seeing just how important they are in keeping the heat on or a roof over your head.

Optimism can be a powerful tool as well. I'm just keeping an eye on the silver linings and hoping for the best.

I am still trying to figure out how this is a depression.

I got a job; I got a house; I haven't missed a mortgage payment; I got two shiny SUVs.

All I need now is a boat to pollute the water and I will be happy.

Obama could take a four year nap and outperform the Shrub. But he's already busy thinking and working, completely foriegn concepts to the Shrub.

The real question is how long will it take him to figure out who knows what they're talking about and whose lying. This is not so easy. We're in the mess we're in because power's bullshit trumps truth.

Wrong but close. It is I'm traveling on, far and wide.

A grateful nation applauds your performance, Timbicile. Oh, and while you're at it, change the bulb.

"So is the clerk at KMart in charge of the Blue Light Special."

You mean, the soon to be laid off clerk at K-Mart.....sales way down.....unemployment way up....what does it spell.....Bush.

oh please danni..........now you are telling us that bush is at fault for walmart laying off people.
good one. HEY this is pretty ironic. just as I was reading your fairy tale they just announced that its story time in the library. I wonder if thier story will be as much of a fairy tale as yours is..
hee hee

and as I have said before

just as in carter and even clinton...this whole thing can be summarized like parts of my golf game
on THOSE VERY RARE OCCASIONS when I am in the rough, it is real simple..
its just a 'momentary setback'..........

We will return.

I'll be back

and with the dems imploading more and more every day, it might not take as long as we thought

HARRY REID ON TAPES WITH BLOGJAVICH TELLING HIM that
"we dont want no niggras in the senate"

( okay so its not a quote, but IT IS dramatic liscense)

and I almost forgot..
there have been several dems really blasting the idea of leon whatshisname....heard a couple just last night not talking very kindly about it.

"So is the clerk at KMart in charge of the Blue Light Special."

You mean, the soon to be laid off clerk at K-Mart.....sales way down.....unemployment way up....what does it spell.....Bush.

Danni you are such a fool. It really amuses me. Fools that go through live obvlivious to everyone laughing at them are very comical.

Losing a dead end job is a blessing. It gives you a reason to go out and get a career.

Wow he is already busy working and thinking. So is the clerk at KMart in charge of the Blue Light Special.

A grateful nation applauds your performance, Timbicile. Oh, and while you're at it, change the bulb.

Doc the difference between you and me is that I view the guy working as a clerk in KMart as a loser without a career. He is a cost center. He contributes nothing to society. He is doing the same job as high school kids earning extra money to buy a bong off the internet.

Your insults are rather sad. The funny thing is that you probably have a lot in common with that clerk working in KMart. Is he your drinking buddy ????

You're new here, aren't you? Let me explain rule #1 of the DR:

If the republicans are in power, it is their fault. If the democrats are in power, it is the republican's faut.

(really, they actually say this!)

"If the republicans are in power, it is their fault. If the democrats are in power, it is the republican's faut."

It's always the Democrats' fault.

Sincerely,
Non-Partisan Goatman

I can't understand the thinking of trying to steal the scandal spotlight away from the Democrats. If they want to gain support, they need to rise to the times and run some more pop culture icons for office.

Goatfart,

You are oversimplifying it.

1. If an Rtard's lips are moving, he is lying.
2. Anyone who voted R in the past 8 years is a fucking idiot.
3. The Republican party is dead, long live the Crazy Fucking Crack Whores or whatever party rises from their ashes.
4. The Bushits left such a fucking mess it will take 20 years to recover from it. Lots of failure to go around for every kind of politician. Many politicians we haven't heard of yet will go down with this leaky ship. They will all be smeared with the shit from Cheney and his trained Chimp.
5. Everyone can find someone in Congress to hate. Their approval rating will always be in the single digits. Always.
6. Texas still sucks.

That pretty much summs up the rules here.

You may resume your normal ranting.

Sincerely,
Non-Partisan Goatman

VVZZZZZzzzzz

Texas still sucks

???

So stay away and quit whining about it. Is everyone else in your garden state this stupid and whiney, or just you?

I am proud to say I've never been to Texas and hope I never have to go.

Gotta say we have a lot of stupid whiney assholes here, too. FL went for the Syphlitic Chimp and his sadistic organ grinder in 2000 and 2004, remember?

Gotta say we have a lot of stupid whiney assholes here, too.

Apparently:

I am proud to say I've never been to Texas and hope I never have to go.

The democrats can do no wrong! Ask them and they will tell you its so. Ask them in about 5 years when the FED runs out of ink from printing so much money that its worthless. Ask them in a year when failed industries ask for a second bailout because they did not reform and have the same Management and Board Members as the previous bailout. Ask the 3 million federal workers that Barack wants to hire, mostly to watch over the rest of us because we are so stupid and cannot take care of ourselves. Ask yourself on January 20th why the DOW will did not jump to 15000 when the Messiah came in charge. Reality will eventually become a sharp slap in the face, get prepared.

The democrats can do no wrong! Ask them and they will tell you its so.

Be Well.

Well--if everyone is pissed--welcome to the crowd.

It is usually anger that can motivate people to change and get things done.

I am all for it.

You mean the Democrats threw out Newt Stinkfists 'contract with America'? The same one that saw 12 years of republican rule in which the Dems were made to hold meetings in the basement, had the power turned off on them and gavels removed from meeting areas?

Gee, that's CRAZY of her to throw out some PR stunt introduced by Republican Fruity Newty.

Good. I hope their party crumbles. Then it's one down, one to go.
