Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Wednesday, December 31, 2008

"I consider myself a casualty, one of the many casualties of the war on terror," said former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who told the Wall Street Journal he's had trouble finding a job. "What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?"

You kiddin'? The last thing criminals like that want is a criminal working for them.

Let him handle drunk driving arrests in Iowa or something. That will be his payment for fucking over the american people. He was supposed to be the top law officer in the country, not Bushco's personal hit man.

......I think you got that reversed........

Burger King's hiring, I can ask...

Perhaps his early onset Alzheimers is to blame for his trouble finding a job.

I Don't Recall

"I consider myself a casualty, one of the many casualties of the war on terror," he added.

~Alberto "VO5" Gonzales

You fucking piece of shit!

You helped turn the US into a torture state and now yer the victim?

STFU and go DIAF.

Apparently, the book's publication has already hit a few snags.

Like wot?

Mr. Gonzales, 53 years old, doesn't have a publisher for his book...

Okay, now that's funny!

...He said he is writing it if only "for my sons, so at least they know the story."

Presumably cos yer kids are being held incommunicado at an unspecified location and there's no way to just talk to them yerself?

Maybe he just doesn't remember where they are at present. His memory lapses are kinda legendary by this point.

After the shenanigans he pulled protecting child molesters in the Texas Youth Correction scandal and all the crap he pulled as the most underqualified AG in American history this guy should not be bitching, instead he should be thanking his lucky stars that he's not rotting in a jail cell like he so richly deserves.

Be Well.

Chapter 1 - To the best of my recollection, I do not remember.

Chapter 2 - No Comment

Chapter 3 - Again I do not recall

Chapter 4 - No

Chapter 5 - I do not recall

Chapter 6 - I do not recall

Chapter 7 - No

The End...

Fredo could get a job as a public defender or doing legal work for a non-profit immediately. There's always a need for grunt work. Always hell when ego gets in the way of being an honest man.

"So at least they know my story..."

I was so ambitious I sold my soul to the biggest ass-clown to inhabit the WH since 1860.

I'd say that summarizes your life, Fredo. No need to thank me, I'll send you my bill.

Gonzalez is yet another crony who wasn't qualified for the position he held.

Ashcroft earned respect for what he did on his hospital bed.

Mr. Gonzales, 53 years old, doesn't have a publisher for his book.

Can't get a job? I bet it's killin' him. lol

I'll give him $1,000.00 plus 3 cents a copy for every copy I sell, for anything better than a popup book. Does anybody think he's worried that he might have to take my offer?

Sounding dumbfounded, the 53-year-old former judge and corporate lawyer told the Wall Street Journal, "What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?"

Who says Republicans can't be amusing?

Pathetic, but amusing.

"I consider myself a casualty, one of the many casualties of the war on terror,"

What a douchebag. There are people that have been in gitmo, sans charge, longer than this idiot was even in the media spotlight. And quite a few thousands that have died on all sides.

"casualty"? Whiny narcissistic pussy...

AGAIN...BUSH`S FAULT....

Seriously, a guy that lost his job, after giving testimony so bad even MURPHY thought he should be fired, is comparing himself to a casualty in a war!

Gonzales gives the perfect example of how self important, stupid, and out of touch he is. Good riddance!

Excellent book, but you missed the last chapter. SPOILER: He finally gets talkative at the end.

You mean "legible"?

Gonzales was a lockstepper that deserves better treatment -- he was a Captain Willard -- an errand boy -- and now he's getting fucked by the same people that used him like a mastabutory Kleenex. Oh how I abhor Republicans and Democrats.

mastubatory.

mastubatory.

Heh. It's not funny though, because you weren't accusing someone else of being illiterate.

Ie wuz nevar hay goud spelar. Ewe awt too nos dat bye nou.

Awww! Poor widdle Gonzo.....
Somebody call him a waaahhhhmbulance before he starts bawlin'..oops, too late!

You mean "legible"?

~Foxy

But oh love is strange
And you have to learn to take the
crunchy with the smooth I suppose
She began going out with Mr. Potato Head
It was when I saw her in the car park with
his coat around her shoulders
I realized
I went home and thought about the two of
them together until the bath
water went cold around me
I thought about her eyes and the curve of
her breasts and about the point
where their bodies met
I confronted her about it
I said 'I'm the most illegible bachelor in town'
And she said 'Yea, that's why I can never
understand any of those silly
letters you send me'

And then one day it happened
She cut her hair
And I stopped loving her.

~Billy Bragg (Walk away Renee)

Be Well.

I hope he ends up at burger king.

I see his future in jailhouse law.

I consider him a fat wetback pussy. Fuck you, asshole pocho.

Sounding dumbfounded, the 53-year-old former judge and corporate lawyer told the Wall Street Journal, "What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?"

Not real bright, is he?

I'm hoping his pity, with the passing of time, turns into bitterness. Maybe once he realizes how thoroughly he's been used, he'll turn to retribution.

THAT book I'll read.

This story is sad and funny at the same time.

"What is it that I did that is so fundamentally wrong, that deserves this kind of response to my service?"

You either

A. Had no principles or morals or...

B. You sold them out for power.

Now who would want to hire a piece of crap person like that?

I mean other than Bush.

I think you're onto something there, Bob.

Yup another Bushie Bible thumper but when the chips were down and so was he John Ashcroft did the right thing.

Proposed Titles For Gonzales' Book:

1. Memories
2. Unforgettable
3. I've Forgotten, and I Can't Remember
4. You Say Torture--I Say Tomato
5. Workin' For The Man--The Salsa Guide to Success in a Republican World.
6. Getting Siegleman
7. I'm Innocent in the Siegleman Affair
8. I Don't Recall Siegleman
9. Forgetting Siegleman
10. I Can't Remember a Damn Thing
11. Shit Rolls Downhill And I've Found Myself on the Bottom
12. The Charges Against Me Are False--As Best As I Can Remember.

Typical Rupube Pussy.

Don't worry, I predict the College near my city will hire him to give a speech in the next 2 years. They've already had Coulter, Bush senior, and Bolton here recently. The President of the college even said about Bolton: "He's one of the few truth-tellers out there."

So much for "liberal college education," or even just "education."

He should go hang out with Lance Ito.

It's because he made a post wherein he insulted the literary abilities of someone else.

It's called "irony".

Happy New Year everyone! I am looking forward to the time when all of this - Gonzales and Dumsfeld and Shrub and Darth Cheney and all the rest are just memories of something terrible we allowed to happen to our country - and that never EVER happened again because finally, we learned from history. Happy New Year!

Zatiochi teach you that life lesson, did he?

Burger King's hiring, I can ask...

Don't you have to remember what people ordered to work there?

Sam #37, what college? Let's make sure everyone knows where NOT to have their kids apply.

I have a job for Gonzalez, but it'll take a 'Damascus Road' experience to get it.

Zatiochi teach you that life lesson, did he?

What ever happened to Zat, did he just wander off?

I think the Microsoft stock thing has taken its toll.

"Zatoichi teach you that lesson in life....?"

Zat was one of the brightest but most dishonest debators ever to post here. I have to imagine he dealt with real people better than we ghosts.

like the rest of us, he can choose between prisoner or prison guard; prison gang leader, no; warden, no.

in fact, it appears that he already abused, possibly criminally, his guard job. so, again, like the rest of us, guilty or not it's into the pokey he should go.

Zat was one of the brightest but most dishonest debators ever to post here. I have to imagine he dealt with real people better than we ghosts.

I cannot argue with this statement.

There are a few of us who have been on drudge since it began and zat is one. Zat was much better to deal with back then, he would actually be honest. I am afraid he has taken on too many characters now and lacks the ability to be his normal here on drudge now.

Boyd is the same way.

Tough trying to maintain so many different personalities, it confuses their own minds.

"Zatiochi teach you that life lesson, did he?"

"Zatoichi teach you that lesson in life....?"

At least he got the quotes right.

"God" doesn't micromanage....free will.

God" doesn't micromanage

Oh, yeah?
~Job

"At least he got the quotes right...."

If you say so, I never noted. What I do recall is endless meaness coupled with an unfathomable refusal to discuss those topics he claimed expert knowldege in.

Depends on whether you believe in George Burnes or Morgan Freeman versions...."I made it, you break it, you bought it"

"If you say so, I never noted"

That was a nudge.

Reno was a real piece of work, and now Gonzalez. The outcome of these two is that no lawyer worth their salt will ever again take the AG position. Same as POTUS - The best would never vie for the position so 'the people' get what they deserve.

MSGT-
It's clear that Gonzales was not "worth [his] salt", and in your opinion neither was Reno, so I don't get your point.

Gonzo, it's ok, I'll pay you minimum wage to landscape my yard and keep it maintained.
