Interesting article, and why the guy just didn't write it as good fiction is puzzling. He evidently is a holocaust survivor, so like "Saving Private Ryan" and other fictional but moving accounts, he could have had a great story, written from a unique perspective.

LOL. I find your posts funny. Typically, in a debate, one side puts forth a theory and backs it up with facts - preferably primary resources. For the exchange you are referencing (the Eisenhower death camps), I linked you to a source as well as to a 'point, counter point' argument. You simply use the 'counter point' as your evidence of debunking. In this, you ignore the fact that the authors of the counter-point provide zero evidence other than name calling and freely admit that they never visited the Soviet archives. I can see how someone intellectually lazy like yourself would gravitate towards this argument.

But, all of this is moot and not even debateable in this case. You claim that the eye witness survivirs are beyond question and soak up all of their nonsense like a sponge. I don't even need to debunkt he author of this book - he already admitted that he is a fraud and a liar. As somebody else wrote - he is a 'holocaust survivor' so why would he need to make stiff up? The Anne Frank Diary Fraud

The Western world has for some years been made aware of a young Jewish girl through the medium of what purports to he her personally written story, "Anne Frank's Diary." Any informed literary inspection of this book has shown it to have been impossible as the work of a teenager.

A noteworthy decision of the New York Supreme Court confirms this point of view, in that the well known American writer, Meyer Levin, has been awarded $50.000 to be paid him by the father of Anne Frank as an honorarium for Levin's work on the "Anne Frank Diary."

I don't follow this blog much so I assume that betelg and sanantonio don't usually just name call and actually bring facts to the table based on your comment. Strange that people can have a discussion on any topic in this world except the holocaust.

As to Anne Frank, the information you posted has been known for quite some time, although suppressed by the media and still taught as a biography by schools. Some other notable works would be Schindlers List (pure work of fiction despite being represented as fact when shown in schools) and Elie Wiesel's 'Night'. I don't know if Night is a complete fabrication, but Elie leaves out a lot of details and never even mentions the 'gas chambers' even though he was in Auschwitz. He mentions the mode of execution as being thrown directly into a flaming pit, which has been discredited as time has gone on. Further, he omits ever mentioning two of his three sisters from the book - only focusing on the younger sister that did not survive the camp (he and his two sisters survived while his father died of dysentery and his mother and younger sister died of unknown reasons). Of course, his sisters that did survive should be able to say exactly what happened to his mother and younger sister, but I have never found any mention of any interviewers asking that questions (likely because they were not killed in gas chambers which would weaken the holocaust story). Either way, it is clear that the omission of the two surviving sisters was to drum up more sympathy in the book by painting him as the sole survivor. After all, it is hard to call something a death camp with gas chambers when none of the 6 family members died in a gas chamber and the family had a 50% survival rate.

Herman Rosenblat, a real survivor of the Buchenwald concentration camp of WW II, does not deserve all this wrath and indignation from people. And he certainly doesn't deserve the rotten treatment he's receiving from his friends and family members including and a brother who now will no longer even speak to him. It's not like he's lying about having even been in Buchanwald.

I see Herman Rosenblat's love story in an entirely different light -- and that's exactly what it is -- a love story. I read the main article and this portion from another link within:

CBS) In June of 1958, Herman and Roma Rosenblat were married. They'd met six months earlier on a blind date at New York's Coney Island. But...this was and is no ordinary love story. Fate played a large role in bringing them together -- and they just celebrated their 50th anniversary. It all began 65 years ago, in Nazi Germany.

"I went with my brothers to the right. My mother went to the left," Herman recalled. "We got separated from my mother, and she was taken to Treblinka, to the gas chamber." Herman was sent to a slave labor camp in Germany, called Schlieben. His mother was always in his dreams. And in one, she promised to send him an angel. Life at Schlieben was unbearable, a diet of bread and water, his world defined by barbed wire and watchtowers.

Until, he says, "I saw a little girl behind a tree, on the other side of the barbed wire." After the concentration camps were liberated, Herman found his way to the United States. "He found love and was engaged to be married three times, but never went through with any of them. He always felt something was missing. And then came that blind date -- with Roma. As they spoke, Herman told her of the little girl who'd thrown him apples when he was in the concentration camp. And she said she was that girl!

It was a coincidence Herman believes was no accident. "I said to myself, 'Oh my God -- my mother sent her back to me!' And that was it. I knew right then and there we were going to get married." ....

Why? Not to get too Psych 101 here, but maybe she was lonely saw it as a chance to get closer to him and fulfill a need in her own life? Whatever the reasons, you can't deny theirs is a story of love and marriage that has lasted more than 50 years.

So I say -- SO WHAT. Who is hurt by their story? It appears that up until this book was written in the 1990s, he only told his story to local groups, probably at senior citizen centers. He didn't try to hustle books or commercialize his story before.

Don't you see? Rosenblat believes to his core that his wife had been the "angel" sent by his mother in his dreams. Rosenblat WANTED and NEEDED to believe she was that person because he never got over the murder of his mother in Treblinka's gas chambers when he was 14. In Rosenblat's mind their love story and how they met is real. So with all the troubles in the world today, do we really need to drag this 79 year old man in the dirt and make a lie and sham out of his 50 year marriage? Hasn't this real Holocaust survivor suffered enough in his lifetime?

Bani - several of us have tried on numerous occasions to engage this joker based on verifiable facts and well-documented sources.

Americans need to see pictures like that to provide a dose of the reality of bombs and reason for pause in blaming one side only in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The Arab world is seeing all of them. The photos of the fathers and mothers sobbing are heartwrenching in their sadness.

We've been denied pictures from Iraq of families who's innocent children, parents, wives and husbands have been killed. The warmongers here might think twice about being gleeful over 'killing them terrorists', most of whom were innocent people who just happened to be in the path of the shock wave from a bomb.

So, it is unimportant to you what actually happened? If there were 100% proven facts that went against the currently accepted story, would you want them buried or to come out? I just want the truth. If your grandpa Fritz or Kraut was accused of making soap out of human beings and lampshades out of human skin and then facts emerged that this was a vicious lie, would you not want to see him vindicated and your honor (and the honor of your country and people) restored?

If Eisenhower mentioned gas chambers, then yes, he was lying. It is accepted fact that the only gas chambers now being claimed to have killed people were located in 6 camps in Poland (all 'liberated' by the Soviets). Immediately after the war, it was claimed that 22 camps has gassing operations based on 'eye-witness' testimony. So, if Ike said that the Germans gassed people and he saw proof - he was indeed lying. At least according to the holocaust museums of Israel and the US.

Are these Holocaust deniers saying the BUCHENWALD CONCENTRATION CAMP never existed? That the photos taken by our own soldiers and Marines when they first liberated the concentration camps are not real?

Nope - camp definitely existed. Just like the US concentration camps for Japanese during WWII. By the end of the war, the allies had bombed all railroad lines so food distribution and medical care was basically non-existant. I would suppose that the concentration camp inmates had slightly worse conditions than the general population of German, where many starved during and after the war and died of disease for exactly the same reason. For a history lesson on what happens following the break down of supply lines, look at the POW camps for the US civil war. This was no different.

Nobody ever denies that the Jews were interned (just like the US). The Nazis interned anyone that they thought would hinder the war effort, including jews, communists, and POWs. Further, the fact that they were tatooed and survived basically shoots a giant hole into the story that the Nazis wanted to simply kill all jews. If they wanted/needed laborers, they could have simply interned all the Polish population and just killed all the jews upon arriving at Auschwitz - they didn't do that. All I would like to see is an accurate version of what actually took place because there are so many lies by 'experts' and 'eye-witnesses' that are easily available for all to see. This clip is a classic example of that. Why would the witness lie? Why would the court allow it given that it was so obviously false? Remember, a man was killed as a result of this testimony, there can be no claim that there was not a victim and death was the result.

I always found it interesting that in the psych classes I took in college, when conspiracy theories and theorists were discussed, Holocaust deniers were among the first examples discussed.

Gaza Ma'an The death toll in the Gaza Strip rose to six on Wednesday morning after another Al-Qassam Brigades fighter died of wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike near Khan Younis.

Five Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades activists were killed earlier on Tuesday evening by Israeli fire in the Al-Qarara area of Khan Younis and at Juhr Ad-Dik, in central Gaza.

An Al-Qassam Brigades leader, Mazin Sa'da, who is also a police officer, was killed and four civilians were injured including a woman as Israeli forces invaded Juhr Ad-Dik and clashed with Palestinian fighters, according to Muawiya Hassanein, director of ambulance and emergency service in the Palestinian health ministry.

Separately, an Israeli drone launched a missile at a group of Al-Qassam activists in Al-Qarara, killing four of them. Mu'awiya Hassanein identified the victims as Muhammad Ba'lusha, Omar Al-Alami, Muhammad Awad and Wajdi Muharib.

Israeli sources announced that one soldier was slightly injured in Deir Al-Balah.

Hamas' military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said in a statement that it launched eight mortar shells at Israeli forces in the central Gaza Strip near the military post of Kissufim. They affirmed they would block any Israeli attempt to invade the Gaza Strip regardless of the ceasefire, which would not prevent them from defending the Palestinian people. The statement warned of a tough retaliation to any invasion attempt.

Witnesses told Ma'an that they saw large numbers of Israeli tanks near the abandoned Israeli settlement of Dugit near Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as helicopters overhead.

With regard to the ceasefire, the spokesperson said the Israeli incursion intended to protect ceasefire.

The de facto government in the Gaza Strip held the Israeli government responsible for all the consequences of their "aggression," describing it as the most serious violation of the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire since it went into effect in June.

Shouldn't we have the right to ask questions about a historical event, every historical event, regardless of how tragic it is?

It took Germany and Austria many years to officially admit to the occurance of the Holocaust. They consider it a great shame and would love to mark it off as being in the past and let it reside only in history. They therefore greatly resent people denying that it occurred, thus bringing up arguments they (the German & Austrian govts) themselves have repudiated, and thus bringing the Holocaust into the spotlight again.

Author: It shows how so-called "experts" are willing to accept Jewish propaganda and ignore evidence when it is presented to them.

I think that is poor analogy. The better one is the US kicking the native americans off their land. The Palestinians were there first and Israel kicked them off their land using firepower given to them by the Americans. Except rather than setting up reservations and schools for the indians, the government would have set up a permanent refugee camp. Then, when some people have taken too much indignity and fight back, the government would shut off the food, medicine, water, etc that legally should flow into the reservation which punishes the entire community. Then, when the refugees throw stones or shoot rockets (which really have killed only about 100 people over 50 years), the government would respond with a full scale invasion against the civilian population.

Like it or not, Hamas was democratically elected and they have the right to rule the people. Israel cutting off food, medicine, and travel/shipments to other countries (access to shipments via ports, etc) is against the law. Maybe if Israel would actually live up to its obligation under Oslo, the rockets would have stopped.

Either way, it is none of the business of the US. I think I should have a say whether my tax dollars are spent to support this terrorist state (Israel that is).

I really don't believe an Israeli news sources as being credible, but let's ignore that fact for a second. How many of those deaths were caused by rockets and how many by suicide bombers? Subtract the suicide bombing victims because that tactic has been sworn off by Hamas - well, it was until Israel started the current conflict.

On the other hand, about 0.1% of the entire population of Gaza has been killed or wounded by Israel in the last 3 days alone. I don't want my tax dollars supporting this terrorist state. Frankly, I would like the US to stop people from sending their own personal money there as well under the anti-terrorist laws and outlaw dual citizenship for Israeli/Americans.
