Seems to me, despite constant attacks from the right, Clinton did a magnificent job, saved tens of thousands of lives in the Balkans. Gee, wasn't the right calling Clinton reckless when he ordered the 76-day bombing of Serbia. Guess he was a little too tough for the GOP. Of course if Clinton invaded Iraq, he would have listened to SHinseki, and we wouldn't have needed a surge only after the war was a disaster and thousands of US soldiers were maimed and killed. The GOP--the party of incompetence and cowardice.
In a child-like manner, the Bush Administration ignored the outgoing presidents assessment (via Richard Clarke) that Bin Laden was determined to attack the USA. As Clinton predicted, Osama hit us. Yet, overcome by juvenile hatred of Clinton's successful presidency, they ignored the warnings and we were hit on 9-11-01. Get over it, right wing nutjobs. Bush was asleep at the wheel and he owns 9-11. Lock, stock and barrel.
Now, the economy is in freefall, perhaps a depression. The dollar lost more power in prestige in 8 years than many thought possible. Foreign policy-wise, a president respected around the world (Clinton) was replaced by an arrogant piece of crap (Bush) who greatly overestimated America's force as a superpower, recklessly abused the military in a misguided war. Nobody was fooled (except the brainwashed "dittoheads" as Rush like to insult his brainless flock. And now the world does not respect America. Nor fear it. America is a far weaker country--economically, politically, and militarily--thanks to the cowardly Bush Administration, the GOP, and the blind followers like the idiots in this thread.
Now, the pathetic right are lining up to start a 4-year bash session against Obama. Even a despicable dead beat dad like Gingrich recently had the sense to warn the GOP against this sad, pathetic and failed strategy.
