Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich said on Friday he had done nothing wrong and would not resign in the wake of charges he tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat. "I am not guilty of any criminal wrongdoing," Blagojevich told reporters in his first comment on the charges since his arrest. "I intend to stay on the job. I will fight, I will fight, I will fight."

Dear Governor "I've got this thing and it's fucking golden" Blagojevich,

You are a mafioso wannabe. The Dons of old had the finesse to go have somebody whacked, goad the cops, and not incriminate themselves when they talk about it. You are giving corrupt politicians everywhere a bad name. We should not have to suffer because you don't have any common sense. If we suspect our phones are tapped, we sell political positions in a discrete, personal meetings on a golf course, not over the phone. Take it like a man, Rod.

Sincerely,
The Corrupt Politicians' Political Action Committee

A great example of the political machine that our president-elect came from.

Blago sounds as arrogan as Kwame Kilpatrick, and we all what happened to him, don't we? Granted, Kwame got a slap on the wrist, but a slap nontheless. I am sure Blago will wind up the same way.

The one difference between Blago and Kwame is that Blago won't play the race card, only black politicians are allowed to do that and still keep their jobs and reputations intact.

Rezko Hussein will want this story to go away and not ruin his honeymoon as his presidency starts. I am sure he will use the machine's power to make this guy (Blago) go way somehow.

Wait until it comes out that Michelle Obama had an affair with Blogojevic and his wife...

Bleeping Bleep!

Reminds me of I never inhaled. Slick Willy.

This guy looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll--and he sounds like won too!

They better hurry and bring the Indictment or folks are going to pissed that Fitz pulled the cord too soon with the Complaint.

I intend to stay on the job. I will fight, I will fight, I will fight.
Translation-"Is there a deal on the table for me?"

I just wonder if he'll cry like a baby after he confesses, like Duke Cunningham, or deny he was convicted like Ted Stevens...

This guy is such an embarrassment for the Dems and not doing Obama any favors either with this in the news day after day.

not gay--freudian slip by Craig--lol

Illinois is withous one Senator. What is going to happen? Who will appoint that Senator? Why not hold a special election and let the people decide? What's the matter Democrats, are you chicken? Are you afraid a Republican might "steal" that seat from you?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Rod is going to make somebody screem like alittle girl. My money is on Rahm.

Barry must be getting as nervous as a new bride.

Man, reading all you Rwingies salivating over pure speculation is just sad.

"...salivating over pure speculation is just sad."

Make sure you stick around TFDNIHLIST until June 2009 to revisit that statement. Economy- What economy ?

Are you afraid a Republican might "steal" that seat from you?

yeah, they did sooo well last month, Member. But maybe Saint Sarah can run for it, she's got all that executive experience and she can keep an eye on Michigan from her house, too. All them UAW members and all....

Are you honestly saying that in June 2009, if the economy is crap, it's more the fault of Obama, who will have been President for less than 6 months by then, then it is of the guy who was President for the 8 years preceding him?

Let's be honest here the only reason the libs don't like Blagojevich isn't cause he allegedly tried to sell a U.S. Senate seat but because he said all those very bad words when talking about some very nice people who would never talk like that. I mean Rahm Emanuel has never swore like a sailor or acted like a maniac by stabbing a table did her?

fuck the state

gimme mine

finally a Democrat that can upstage BushCo corruption.

isn't cause he allegedly tried to sell a U.S. Senate seat

Um, yeah, that is why we don't like Blogo.

Who gives a fuck if he is a fucking obscene motherfucker who fucking curses all fucking day long?

That's a Repub fetish, not a Demo one.

You are projecting again.

Barry must be getting as nervous as a new bride.

especially with rod bitching on tape about Obama offering him nothing...

I BELIEVE HE IS INNOCENT.HE WAS JUST TALKING. HE HASN`T DONE ANYTHING BAD YET. NOT YET..SO....

That Bank of America stuff sure was interesting, too...wonder what the tie in is?

This guy is a friggin loon. Like, dick cheney crazy/arrogant. He needs to be fired.

Out of a cannon.

Impeachment drive slowed against Illinois governor

Christopher Wills, Associated Press Writer Thu Dec 18

news.yahoo.com

Perhaps previewing his courtroom arguments, Genson on Thursday questioned the legality of the wiretaps. He warned the impeachment committee: "I think you're using evidence that was illegally obtained."

Unlike the U.S. Constitution, which allows impeachment in cases of "high crimes and misdemeanors," the Illinois Constitution does not define an impeachable offense. No Illinois governor has ever been impeached, so lawmakers have little to go on.

Genson has complained about the lack of a clear standard and suggested he might raise the issue in court if the governor is impeached.

"I don't know what the line is," he told the committee. "The line should be based on evidence, should be based on due process, should be based on confrontation."

Aside from the federal charges, lawmakers have mentioned several issues that could be part of an impeachment case:

& on & on they go:>)

"Blagojevich promised $1 million to a historic church destroyed by fire, but the money somehow ended up at a school run by a former felon. Blagojevich pardoned the felon to make her eligible to collect the grant."

lol

hey, we should keep this gov for laughs1

if illinois past 2 governors are examples of that states politics ---what chance do we have with a president from that state
jasman

well whats the big fuckin deal
he is a politician from chicago so it doesnt matter who his friends and allies and political partners are....so whats the big deal anyway......

oh I SEE>..........he must not be

hey if 9/11 was bush's fault, then the economy will be obama's.

let me go ahead and state your retort.
oh well that is different

oh yeah, and obama started saving the economy in nov.

Good post Rcade...

Maybe they wouldn't pay him either?

lol...I was thinking the same, too:>)

This is one of the dumbest dumbicrats I have had looked at. His wife must be brain dead to shack up with this loser.

I've been thinking that about Laura Bush for quite a while now.

My understanding is that there is a question as to whether his wife is involved in corruption too.

You can't keep a political job when the politics goes bad. he must be threatening to expose something if he is impeached. any odds on him getting whacked?

he is impeached. any odds on him getting whacked?

It would depend on who he is trying to bribe. I mean this is Chicago politics after all. Nothing is off the table.

Lonnie

then there is the Jesse Ventura CIA expose....
52.thelastoutpost.com
the guy is a deal maker, so someone is going to have to play ball....

Blagojavich quoting Rudyard Kipling as he protested his innocence to the press yesterday had to be a political classic moment. All that was missing were some violins in the background.

I suppose as icing on the cake he should have had his wife standing by his side looking all teary-eyed and concerned except she's now had to lawyer up too.

Interesting video Bani.

Lonnie

Rcade had it up earlier this last week:>)

my favoite banned Fox video, though, is this one:

www.veoh.com

Our leaders, the jewish banking cartel, has to keep track of what their property is doing.

Obama said, "We just completed an investigation of our actions and we found that we did nothing wrong."

Now that is transparency!
