Daschle couldn't even win reelection but he does have experience in the political machine.

again I ASK

here he has the SMARTEST WOMAN IN THE UNIVERSE who has all the answers on national health care

and he picks a has-been senator ..

and obama called him someone who would work both sides of the aisle..
THATS MAYBE THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF SHIT THAT obama has ever spoken
daschle was the most partisan prick in the democrat party and THATS saying a lot

Daschle couldn't even win reelection but he does have experience in the political machine.

Daschle was reelected to office 7 times.

KaBooM!

Tom Daschle is a cancer waiting to be fed

Health and Human Services is a perfect place for a political hack like Daschle.

And his wife is a lobbyist!

Tom Daschle's wife is very hot. She looks like Hillary

Tom Daschle's wife is very hot. She looks like Hillary

......lets hope we get a national health care plan instead of just promises........

The animosity directed at Daschle by the ridiculous right leads me to belive he is an excellent choice.
I find that the more they hate someone generally equates to their fear that he will succeed.
Nothing frightens the right more than that the Democrats will succeed in restoring the American economy to prosperity.

NOCCA SU!!

I don't need no stinking health care. I already get healthcare. If you want healthcare go get a real job.

And his wife is a lobbyist!

#6 | Posted by MURPHY at

that in itself wouldnt keep him from a department with all that money..you dont think a LIBERAL would funnel any money to thier spouse,..NOW WOULD YOU??????????????

AND OH YEAH

where in the FUCK HAS daschle been since being DUMPED??

HE HAS BEEN A LOBBYIST..

there will be no lobbyist working for me...
SAYS BARAK OBAMA>..

so much for THAT BULLSHIT

liar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND ONE MORE DAMN THING

so since colin powell tells us that we are stupid if we listen to rush
does that mean that if I turn on katie or charlie that they will tell me where daschle was a lobbyist and then show me the clip where obama says that no lobbyist will work for him......

I wont hold my breath waiting

there will be no lobbyist working for me...
SAYS BARAK OBAMA>..

You probably know he never said that, right? You just thought a little hyperbole would help you make some nonexistent point.

Daschle couldn't even win reelection but he does have experience in the political machine.

Versus appointing a guy to say, AG, who couldn't even beat a dead guy in an election?

"if obama is able to get us back on our feet, I will be one of the first to appauld........."

Sure you will, just like you did when Clinton did it.
Oh, that's right, you were distracted by the BJ.

**** I don't need no stinking health care. I already get healthcare. If you want healthcare go get a real job.

.....you're Christian, I take it ?.........

I would LOVE to be distracted by "THE BJ".......lol

I wasnte even here during those "GOLDEN" years..oops........monica didnt do THAT too did she???? yuk yuk....

seriously, there is too much at stake and thats why its too bad when I read about obama supporting scum like the ILL gov EVEN AFTER KNOWING HE WAS UNDER investigation and saying things like..and I QUOTE

I am a card carrying democrat."

Listen BLT. You didn't lose because you were too conservative. You lost because you weren't conservative enough.

So get out your stuffin' brooms and cram some more god-damned Jesus into that platform! The country's counting on you!

We're pulling for ya, you betcha!

Also, too.

AND OF COURSE, we would have to agree on the definition of economic stability

You probably know he never said that, right? You just thought a little hyperbole would help you make some nonexistent point.

Then ya better get new batteries for the hearing aid because it never happened. Check out the Google every once in a while before you are so certain of your "facts".

"conservatism WINS ELECTIONS"

I'm sure President-Elect McCain and Vice-President-Elect Palin would agree.

And maybe also check in with the new "Limbaugh conservative":

-Governors in the majority of states
-Legislative majorities in most states
-Senators in the US Senate
-Representatives in the US House

"conservatism WINS ELECTIONS"

Sometimes it does but then it also destroys economies and forces America to bring back liberals.

Seems to me he lost the last election that he ran in.
KA BOOM!!!!!!

"Like most successful politicians, Obama is a protean figure. His progressive views and cautious instincts send different messages to different people -- which is one reason his approval rating hit 73 percent in a Wall Street Journal-NBC News survey released yesterday."

The 23 percent who disagree must be the same morons who actually believe Bush isn't the worst President in history. Geez, even Jeff Davis only lost one war while destroying his country's economy.

seems like a lot or republicans lost the last election cause they and their supporters (especially bloggosphere) have no idea whats going on

KA POW!!

Yeah, but that's not exactly what KaBooMie said, now is it? So given the facts, his statement was only 12.5% accurate.

But you've successfully been contrary and that's really all you wanted anyway. So congrats!

Is there any reason to believe Daschle is right for this job? I'm not saying he isn't; it just seems random.

Conservatism is going to have to find it's brain before it can win anymore elections, BL2. No more Palin Bush.

I found this on a Nursing Website:

He and 3 other former Senate majority leaders Republicans Bob Dole and Howard Baker and Democrat George Mitchell formed the Bipartisan Policy Center in 2007 to tackle healthcare reform and other social issues. Daschle also joined the law and lobbying firm of Alston & Bird as a special policy advisor, with healthcare as one of his strong suits. That's where his old rival Bob Dole also works on healthcare issues as a special counsel.

THAT may be one of the funniest things I've read here all year!

Meanwhile, back in Reality Land:

How much this gonna cost?

"God helps those who help themselves"

If you want helathcare go get a real job

The same sad sacks bashing Powell (and Obama) on a neighboring thread pick on Daschle, reminding me of nothing as much as ants yelling than an elephant is too damned big.

Tom is another of Barack's super-solid centrist appointments. He can well start us toward health care to the dismay of the I-got-mine-fuck-you loudmouths who produce "If you want helathcare (sic) go get a real job." These probably lack even the capacity for shame. herm

Answers my question. Thanks.

"Conservatism is going to have to find it's brain..."

...another retorting enigma...shouldn't it be that people need to go back to common sense - synonymous with conservatism?

I repeat "God helps those who help themselves". Have some pride. Go get a job and build a career so you will have benefits. Waiting for a handout is for those without Pride

TIMBCI

Can't you stop trying to look busy and go home now?

"Have some pride. Go get a job and build a career so you will have benefits. Waiting for a handout is for those without Pride"

Waaal, Timmy is not alone among those who want us to go out and become CEOs somewhere - it's the only rugged individualist way to get ahead. But don't you dare try to form a union, because that's not the Murrican way to get a doctor for your kids either. Timmy lives in a dream world populated by loonies who post here regularly. herm

Another RETREAD!

will our new health care system be like cubas where the elitist have there own hospital and health care and the peons have a much inferior system?

What you're describing is the current health care system.

so you are really saying that he NEVER said that he wouldnt have lobbysist in his administration.
I dont believe that is correct.

and here...RESPECTFULLY>>>is where you really dont know what you are talking about
mccain was not a conservative no matter how far right he tried to move. sarah of course is a different story
mccain has been and will be a moderate republican...one of those people who powell says we should all become...but THEY DONT WIN ELECTTIONS EITHER.........

I was waiting on some liberal 'knucklehead ' to challenge me on this comment
thanks for having the balls

when obama SUPPORTED blog??? for governor in 2006 HE KNEW THAT THE GOVERNOR WAS UNDER investigation and he supported him anyway

AND I heard WITH MY OWN PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED ears obama say...well sure he was supporting him

and I NOW QUOTE THE MESSIAH

"I am a card carrying democrat"

and there you have it

PARTY OVER COUNTRY...

Conservatism is going to have to find it's brain..."

...another retorting enigma...shouldn't it be that people need to go back to common sense - synonymous with conservatism?

#43 | Posted by liberty at 2008-12

we must go back to our roots and for sure not listen to people like colin powell and others who think we should be more moderate.
reagan wasnt moderate and neither was nixon...at least to most social issues........and they were elected in landslides like we havent seen since.

and then of course there was bush 41 destroying the guy in the tank..........

REAL conservatism wins elections.

"mccain was not a conservative"

You guys are funny. As long as Bush was winning, he was the darling of the conservatives. Once his approval went into the crapper, all the righties claimed he was never a real conservative.

Same bullshit with McCain. Had he won, you'd be pointing to him as PROOF "conservatism wins elections".

you have a point, but then not really.......
as I heard several times....our idea was to get mccain elected and then spend our efforts to see that he got only half of what he wanted to get done.
or something to that effect...........

and remember what I said about daschle on the nooner
he has already stated that he wants a federal health board to decide what medicine and devices and treatments are covered...

GOVERNMENT RUN HeaLTH CARE ON ITS wAY......

"a federal health board to decide what medicine and devices and treatments are covered...
GOVERNMENT RUN HeaLTH CARE ON ITS wAY"

Clue: we already have that. It's called Medicare.

"Tom Daschle's wife is very hot. She looks like Hillary"

How in God's name can she be hot AND look like Hillary?

"You guys are funny. As long as Bush was winning, he was the darling of the conservatives. Once his approval went into the crapper, all the righties claimed he was never a real conservative"

I don't think that's true of most people who are truly conservative. Most became disillusioned with Bush, and republicans in general, when they moved away from conservatism and became democrat light. The term conservative gets thrown around a lot where it doesn't fit by any stretch of the imagination. Say what you will about Palin she rattles cages and people respond to her in a big way one way or the other. A conservative, and a women to boot so of course she gets an inordinate amount of hate,(more than the usual) from the left.

*change we can believe in*
yea, lets hire on of the most partisan hacks ever to come out of the democratic party and a re-tread senator at that. Certainly change we can all believe in...

**** reagan wasnt moderate and neither was nixon...
#53 | Posted by bushlovertwo ****

........Reagan was a union official before he went into politics........ a union president no less.....

......not much to the right of being a communist.......
