I think another important question in this story concerns how brazen Blagojevich was with all this even though he knew he was under federal investigation. Does he know something we don't? Does he have a way to get the wiretaps thrown out? Will he be pardoned by Obama if he takes the hit and keeps his mouth shut?

Had you read the entire affidavit, you'd know that Blagojevich had conversations with advisors and lawyers after Nov. 11th where he continued to explore the option of appointing Obama's choice to the Senate in exchange for favors from Obama - and his advisors seemed to know what sort of deal Obama would be willing to go for. Read the affidavit - educate yourself.
