People have been warning about a looming police state for ages. Slowly, but surely, we move toward it with things like the Patriot Act being accepted by some as "great law to keep us safe".

I never understand how it is that people get the idea that it just can't happen here, especially with evidence such as Katrina and Galveston.

Meanwhile, they'll complain about corporate controlled government, corporate controlled media and representatives who don't listen to their constituencies along with the power-grab of the executive branch for the last decade or more.

You're right. Those of us who distrust the government despite what party is in control are all moonbats.

1. I have a conceal-carry permit for the state of south carolina.

2. I file my taxes every year. So far, I've filed 2 years at this address.

3. I have a social security card that I have used to open a savings account and an IRA, giving this address as my residence.
