Wow that was too funny.

SO it's califoria's fault we are in a recession heading for a depression.

Unbeleiveable

Jack Black and friends making judgements on fellow Americans. And I would love to see these guys actually sit down and debate real intellectuals about anything. But make a video calling everyone who voted for traditional marriage a bigot and a hater. That is Liberal courage and enlightenment

Once again, fascism is alive and well on the left

Do you have one you'd like to suggest?

Now, GOD's really pissed.

Because of Prop 8, not the skit.

It's entertainment.

Oh, Jack Black, best Jesus ever.

A bunch of angry weirdo homos - how cliche.

I love the way gay people stereotype themselves,
then cry bloody-murder when others do likewise.

Oh, boo-hoo, gay people can't get married!

If you don't like it, LEAVE and start your own
country, where there are no hang-ups.

Dean-
This one will do, sir.

It'll do just fine, but yours may not.

you aint seen nothin yet.

and this was pretty cute, I guess
mark shaimen is underrated and all but the fact remains that the will of the people in california and almost 40 other states is about to be overturned, I predict.....

and I dont get why shaiman thinks that this is a church and state issue. sure there are churches backing it but it goes beyond that.

and I also betcha that he came up with all this virtually overnight.

oh yeah

and in typical hollywood liberal elite style
anyone who backed prop 8 is a religious zealot rube
....again........an oversimplification of the whole issue and its supporters.

and oh yeah

pretty slick...how they defend gay marriage with a 'musical'....seems to me they would want to do it in something other than a genre like that

or MAYBE>..........thats EXACTLY the right place...tee hee....

"...seems to me they would want to do it in something other than a genre like that..."

You used the word "genre". You must have that closet decorated, girl!

"School of Rock" was funny

an oversimplification of the whole issue and its supporters.

NAW>..probably not

Sarah Palin would be his pick, assuming:

a) she'd be willing to talk to America hating communistic terroristic non pro-Americans

and

b) somebody is willing to drop a quarter million on cloths and make-up for her for the event

c) she could dump Trig off on some babysitter

I agree with Bushlover, that's over exaggerating saying that it was the religious people that shot it down. I don't think there was quite that many religious people in California to pull that off.

I'm sure there were some members of the gay and lesbian community that voted against the proposition. There were probably quite a few atheists that voted against it too.

It would be more believable if this had happened in Utah or some state that is clearly a religious state.

How many millions of dollars from Utah and the Mormon Church do you think went to ads on Poposition 8?

ditti lonnie

the best part is that it was such a surprise to all of the egomaniac libs on the left coast and an 'UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCE" that the left is famous for

unintended in that they were delighted with the black voter turnout to get obama elected not realizing or CARING how socially conservative a lot of blacks really are..

but WHEN WAS THE LasT TIME he even heard about how many blacks voted for prop 8????

not very much

BLT, the single, band leading, David Foster documentary watching, Beverly Sills loving, illiterate, self-hating, closeted, secretly gay blogger is faux upset about a musical.

What a hypocrite.

Honestly, I can't say if they did or did not contribute money towards the anti prop 8 campaign and I couldn't even guess how much they spent. I'm of the opinion that money and ads mean nothing if it goes against that persons values that gets to vote on the proposition. Most voters knew how they were going to vote before the first anti prop 8 ad ran on TV.

For the record, I'm in Texas and had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome whatsoever. Also, for the record, I don't attend church. So I didn't inadvertently influence the outcome either. Sunday is my only day off so I use it to sleep in and recharge my batteries so to speak.

Yes bushlover, I guess they felt the one night they got to sing Kum Bye Yah was worth it. Obama brought them all together if only for one night. *Laughing* After the vote was disclosed, not sure many of them were very united after that but they love to get on Drudge to say how Republicans are sexists, racists, and homophobes when people within their ranks voted against gay marriage. Karma at it's very best.

Lonnie

"Karma at it's very best."

No. This is karma at its very best:

July, 1997: The New Conservative Majority and the Remaking of America

March, 2006: Painting the Map Red: The Fight to Create a Permanent Republican Majority

November, 2006: Democrats take back the majority in the US House and US Senate. Democrats take back the majority of the US Governors and state legislatures.

November, 2008: Democrats increase their majorities in the US House and Senate. The Democratic nominee wins the presidency.

Now that's karma!

Hans

Hahaha Hans. I figured you'd have something better than bringing up old news stories. Come on, I haven't stopped laughing since the election over this. Face it, your party has already started falling apart at the seams.

Lonnie

DONT EVEN tell me that you have worked with david foster in the past

BL2

I have.

I wouldn't call us friends, but I know him and am friends with one of his sisters - who all have male sounding names with different spellings. He's originally from Spud's neck of the woods. The last time I worked with him was 13 years ago on a Donna Summer project.

Here is another nice video regarding prop 8 from the sice site:

So,,, about that edit button. . .

Anyway, you can go here to sign the petition to ammend the constitution to prohibit divorce:

Where are all of the black and latino supporters for prop 8 in the musical? After all it was THEY who pushed it over the top to victory in the voting booths!!!

I'd like to see it. Everything I've ever seen Jack Black in was good except for Nacho Libre

The radical gay movement is using up all it's political capital on this stupid marruage thing, while they already have civil unions. They are causing a whirlwind and a backlash they might regret. Even heteru libs are sick of their crap.

These complaints about gay people and their friends turning to fun-poking musical theatre to air our complaints and channel our frustration are pretty hysterical.

Would you prefer we take up arms?

Would you prefer we take up arms?

~BobSF

According to Pat Boone that's the logical next step fer gay rights advocates.

/Yes, Spud is shameless self promoter of his own threads.

Be Well.

Au contraire mon cher frere.

Prop 8 is having quite the opposite effect. It has unified a fragmented GLBT community, and has caused a lot of heretofore uninvolved straights to take notice of the inherent inequity. When all is said and done, we'll probably look back on Prop 8 as the best thing that has happened since Stonewall.

So despite your wishful thinking, I think you'll look back on Nov. 4 as the day the tide turned once and for all.

Poll: Support surges for gay marriage

Majority now oppose federal ban

Yes, people in general still prefer same-sex civil unions over marriage, but the numbers favoring gay marriage have been steadily increasing year over year for quite some time. And over half of those 18-34 favor same-sex marriage. So the handwriting is pretty much on the wall. Sooner rather than later we're gonna getcha! Boo!

You could be right in the long run. It's not the most important issue for most people. I draw the line at divorce. You can have a gay marriage but not a gay divorce - Ha!

The Christians doth protest too much about gays. Why all the homophobia, is it because many of them are gay? The fact is, lots of them are. Why they don't protest this much against barbers or people with buzz cuts? "Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard." (Leviticus 19:27) That verse is in the same chapter of the Bible as the one talking about homosexuality.

Today is a Sunday, I'm planning on getting a haircut, going to work, eating a shrimp cocktail followed by a porkchop while wearing a cotton poly blend shirt. All mortal sins, if you believe the bible.

What a silly book, what's even sillier are the people who selectively read it and think that it is the greatest book ever.

Please support No on Prop 8 efforts and protests with our official "Prop 8 is Hate" bumper stickers!
