The Minnesota state canvassing board on Wednesday denied Al Franken's request to factor absentee ballots rejected by poll workers into the recount, a decision that could potentially leave the election's outcome to the courts or the Senate itself.

Hey, worked for Dubya.

Here we go again. If Franken loses I guess we can look forward to another 4 years of how it was a 'stolen' election. Of course, if he wins libs will be hailing the effectivness of our courts.

So the usual 4%-5% of votes get tossed.

I think chad ballots have about the same percentage.

With the number going up for Coleman and 86% re-counted, this is looking like a Coleman win.

Unless Franken does the circus act with the courts to change the rules.

Do you really think that Coleman is already fully prepped to file suit if it goes the other way?

* is should be isn't

"Unless Franken does the circus act with the courts to change the rules."

Oh that's what you call it when it is a Dem going to court, I didn't hear you calling it that in 2000.

Honest question to dems out there? Do you really feel like Al Franken has anything to offer in the US Congress? Is he trying to move on from funny because that was a dud? I mean, you heard Air America right? Snooze. I admit to not knowing much about him other than that, not the best impression obviously. Does he have anything in his background that makes him remotely qualified?

now we have to track down every person that was to stupid to fill out a ballot and ask them to vote over.

If these courts REALLY have the public welfare at heart, this will surely constitute payback for the felony of Gore v s. Bush. herm

Hatebiggot,

What the hell does your Rtard asswipe have to offer? Franken would bolster a Democratic majority and brings actual intelligence to the Senate. Coleman would just be another obstructionist puppet of the Neocons.

When a race ends up this close, and a recount and court battle are the only ways to resolve it, wouldn't we be better off if a rerun election was held? Hold a new vote with the top two votegetters and let the public have a second crack at it.

Recount #1 - Coleman

Recount #2 - Coleman

Recount #3 - Coleman

Recount #4 - Coleman

Court Decision #1 - Coleman

Court Decision #2 - Coleman

Supreme Court Decision - Coleman

After all recounts have been completed, AND the courts have ruled, the Democrat conclusion will continue to be: Coleman stole the election!

Ya' gotta wonder what a legitimate win for Coleman would like for Dembastards?

Any Dembastards out there wanna chime in and tell us what that legitimate win would look like?

He lost get over it already

Of course, if he wins libs will be hailing the effectivness of our courts.

With so much hate for your fellow Americans---why not push for your own country--a country where conservatives rule every election? Like this last election could have been between McCain and Romney for your country---wouldn't that be better than having to put up with LIBS and contending with charges of stolen elections? Wouldn't you rather live in a country with no libs? I sure would like to live in a country where half of the country didn't hate the other half.

Thanks for the lesson. I get the math. My question was what does Al Franken the MAN himself have to offer in his background? I know you must be tired from harboring all that bitterness but try to keep up. It was a legitimate question coming from me wanting to educate myself if anyone here knew. I'm not running for office psycho. Chill out! Obstructionist puppet of the neocons? You sound like a leftist propaganda newspaper so tell me again who is the drone? Did you write screen plays for Michael Moore? BTW, you're really going to have to come up with a better explanation than clever. Al Franken is many things, but clever? I think even people who like him would call that a stretch. Of course with your mean spirited little puns & play on words, (Rtard, Hatebiggot) your bar for "clever" is clearly set pretty low. I asked for background, experience not what you think of his personality. Just wanted to educate myself. You remember learning and questioning with an open mind don't you? Maybe a little? Or were you always right about everything forever all the time? Besides, look on the bright side: you get to cry about a stolen election again! A big win AND a "phony" loss to be all righteously indignant about! Its a banner year for the Dems! I'm happy, I'm pissed. I'm happy, I'm pissed. Bipolar politics seems right up your alley.

I sure would like to live in a country where half of the country didn't hate the other half. Wouldn't you?#15 | Posted by Buffoon Boob

Nah that would be too boring. Of course if we were to divide the U.S. into 6 or 7 more or less equally sized political groupings better suited to represent the actual political leanings which exist within our borders that would be great. Then again you would still be an oddity in seeing smokestacks on the Moon.

When a race ends up this close, and a recount and court battle are the only ways to resolve it, wouldn't we be better off if a rerun election was held? Hold a new vote with the top two votegetters and let the public have a second crack at it.

Makes sense.

Particularily in a race like this where third party candidate Dean Barkley got 15% of the vote.

Be Well.

Frankencolman sounds like a bad B Horror movie from the fifties, btw.

Either that or a really lame type of cereal.

Just sayin'.

Be Well.

I hope Franken wins just to read right wing whining on the topic for years to come. It gives me pleasure.

Then again you would still be an oddity in seeing smokestacks on the Moon.

You are correct. I would only want people in my country who sees the smokestack also. What do you want the people in your country to say they see? What do you see?

Smokestack on Moon

NUTZING? Is that what you see Super Genius---NUTZING!!!

Gimme a Scotch Sees NUTZING!!!

My question was what does Al Franken the MAN himself have to offer in his background?

Franken owes nobody anything. He loves America and will do what is best for America---not what is best for his handlers, like every other professional politician. Franken is a MAN first--not a politician. Which would you rather have in office?

payback for the felony of Gore v s. Bush. herm

That says it all!!!!!!!

It was Gore who dragged things into the court. And lost.

Losers like Herm are sill whining about that eight years later

Franken owes nobody anything. He loves America and will do .... ick, ick, ick ....

About as well as your butthole from Bush.

Willnever happen here...Franken would run away as victor...the Barkley voters by in large are Franken's

but it's the right thing to do 4 sure!

Jesse appointed Barkley to the Senate seat held by the murdered Wellstone, but then Barkley 'lost' to Coleman ~ the former Dem mayor of St. Paul in the next election.

www.southsidepride.com

That would be ideal. Someone actually willing to put the country first but I don't think Al Franken falls into that category. Up to this point he's made a living tearing down what everyone else tries to do in America that he doesn't agree with. I suppose it would be fun to see him put up or shut up. Everybody owes someone something even if it just comes along to pay back help for getting them elected. Sad but true. The last thing government needs is more self-righteous celebritites, publicity whores who love to hear themselves talk & lawyers. No more lawyers. I know I'm dreaming, but what we need are honest business people, community leaders, & I don't mean the ones who do things in their community so they can get a pat on the back, the sincere ones, the quite ones, regular Joes that are book smart & street smart. Wisdom gained through trial & error. Of course voters would hold every error against them & they'd be out. You know, the people we Americans always say we want but never elect? Every race this election cycle has pretty much been the lesser of 2 evils at every level. I'm getting depressed.

Al Franken? MN must be embarrassed. That of course are the 50% that are sane.

I would have been insulted if it didn't. I would say Franken would be at least as good a Senator as Sonny Bono. He's more honest than most--I'd trust him more than his opponent with my money--my family--or my life.

MONEYWAR: Well if Coleman won that means we DON'T have to have another ASSHOLE lib in Washington.

BUFFALOBOB: You just proved my point!

Ozzi,

You're just being a one sided ignorant pandering political putze.

Coleman will be a do nothing allow nothing voting puppet of the republican party never ever actually trying to solve Americans problems.

Can't stand idiots who can't seem to make sense of anykind in the way the vote and pander to a party.

-I'd trust him more than his opponent with my money--my family--or my life.

The ULTIMATE retarded post!

Who else would trust a politician that way? Your money? Your family? (assuming you have one) or your life?

Notice, also, how Boob did not say his "wife" because at 47 he still lives with his mommoy

Boob, have you ever kissed a girl?

MONEYWAR: It is people like you that put idiots like Franken and Dodd in congress. Your support for YO YO FRANKEN proves you vote blindly following what your handlers advise.
Remove your brain from your asshole and think for yourself for a change.

Franken will be a mouthpiece for liberalism in all its stupid forms. Franken is a clown who will make this clear.

Thank you Minnesota for once again being America's idiot.

Remove your brain from your asshole and think for yourself for a change.

Now that's funny because no where do I see my post saying I support franken.

I in fact said that coleman won live with it.

May the state of minnesota reap what they have done.

"republican party never ever actually trying to solve Americans problems"

And the Dems do? Perfectly worded to show off a Lib mindset. NO political party can solve all America's problems. Sometimes Americans have to work on solving their own. Give up something, work a little more, its called SACRIFICE and sacrificing power is something neither party wants to do.

Who else would trust a politician that way? Your money? Your family? (assuming you have one) or your life?

#37 | Posted by vernon at 2008-11-29 09:35 AM | Reply | Flag

The people of America do just that with every politician sent to Washington. Many Americans have given their lives for their country--they trusted. Most Americans pay taxes---they trust that it will be spent wisely--everyones family is entrusted to this government whether you support it or not.

I understand that you aren't an American and you hatred of America is evident. This hatred is typical for pus filled maggots with no honor, integrity, or love for their fellow maggots or country. That seems to describe you perfectly. I would bet if you were stuck with a pin you would bust like a big, red, zit.

If Franken loses I guess we can look forward to another 4 years of how it was a 'stolen' election. everlong

The term of office for a US Senator is 6 years. How is it you don't know that?

Vernon is be a mouthpiece for rightwingnuttism in all its stupid forms. Vernon is a clown who will makes this clear.

Hans

Wouldn't you rather live in a country with no libs?

Jerry Springer and Rikki Lake would have to find another job.

MONEYWAR: Are you one of those libs who try and convince people that you are a "PROGRESSIVE"? Why do you libs hide the fact that you are liberals. Is it embarrassing to admit. Or do you get this from the left wing news media who will not admit they are liberal.

HANS: Go back to Dutchland!

You are the most hateful piece of shit to post here.

Coming from someone who thinks people are a "commodity"--your opinion of me matters as much as a dog turd on a hot day.

bob,

you are quite entertaining. You are going to try and attach a statement to me that I never said in the pathetic hope that someone else here will believe it.

here is where your pathetic plot fails........nobody here whatsoever believes anything you post.

nobody.

Either that or you really can't read.

which is it?

Eberly

Do you enjoy having your silly ass handed to you on a plate every time you talk to me? I should charge you for the humiliation.

I remember myself saying that labor is a commodity.

And the same works with 6 figure earners also.

Posted by eberly at 2008-11-28 08:55 PM

Labor is people. Your opinion is as important as a dog turd.

bob,

you must like dog turds because you keep eating it.

labor is a commodity.

my labor is a commodity
your labor is a commodity.

each has it's own value.

my labor earns a solid 6 figure income.
I don't know what your labor is worth.

everybody here understands this except you.

Eberly

Labor is a commodity? What's it going for on the stock market?

Bob, how dare you try to solve an argument using the definition of the term in question. That's messed up.

If only you could prove the validity of your point by having others agree with you. That would prove it!

Well, if there is affirmative action for uglies, then Franken, who is Frankenstein's cousin, deserves the nod. What could compensate this creature sufficiently for being what he is.

Child of a lesser god?

And in the House, Waxman trumps Kucinich for the title.

Why do Democrats prevail in this field? Why are particularly physically ugly people drawn to the Democrat Party? Then in administrative posts, there's Janet Reno ...

I KNEW Johnson had the hots for Reno...

The reason this election is & will be in doubt is Franken was up over 1400 votes until almost the very end....so absentee ballots should be counted in light of the switch at the late hours of that nite ~ don't you think ~ MW?:>)
