I like Fox and the biased accusations just don't wash... There's a reason for their success, and it is that they do a much better job on the news than most of their competition. I think Brent Hume is the most balanced news anchor in television. Their viewers are not just conservatives, they're people that want the straight facts.

They do have openly biased commentators.. Sean Hannity for one.. but they make no secret of it, and he's counterbalanced. (Unlike for example.. MSNBC who pretends to everyone's amusement, that Chris Matthews is as agenda free as Brent Hume.. )

While I think Oreilly would be tough to work for, he's one of the best interviewers on Television.. He sometimes rubs me the wrong way, and he can sometimes be bullying, but when people stand up to him intellectually, he shows them respect.. Obama did that during his interview and Oreilly later complimented him by defending Obama from comments of another guest by saying of Obama.. "he's a tough guy."

In his book "Biased" Bernard Goldberg says that a big influence on the news elite is not what the viewers think, but what their fellow elitists tell them at cocktail parties, and there's where I think even Murdock gets touchy about Fox.

I've had talented employees and bosses that I didn't care much for personally, but I did respect their abilities. That's what's going on with Oreilly.

By the way.. just as an aside.. another interviewer that I think is highly underrated.. Don Imus.. like Oreilly, he gets politicians to cut to the chase. A sometimes difficult job when interviewing politicians of any political stripe.

FOX is a propagandist station with a bias so huge and obvious it can be seen from space with the nekkid eye.

I don't think O'Reilly believes the shit he spews. I think it's all a shock-jock act to cash in for ratings. I like how the people say "success" is what keeps them together. Does money = success, always? Even if it means going against what you personally believe, working with people you don't like, to achieve something you don't necessarily want?
As long as the money's there, everything will be fine, I guess.

Greta van Sustern is the brightest and best commentator on Fox's network. I can't stand Sean Hannity anymore as he is the ultimate party hack. But I do enjoy Bill O'Reilly's show and on occasion will listen to his radio show. O'Reilly does come off pompous at times but that's part of the character he likes to portray on his program.

Besides Bill O'Reilly takes on some issues where I totally agree with him -- such as there being a "war on Christmas" in this country. O'Reilly has taken on that issue for the last two or three years. He's right.

For years I would buy my Christmas postage stamps at Ralph's Supermarket when I was at the check out counter. I'd use those stamps when I mailed out Christmas cards. Ralph's always got their Christmas stamps in around the end of November. But when I asked them a few days ago if they had gotten this year's Christmas stamps in yet I was told "No." The cashier said Ralph's no longer intends to sell Christmas stamps anymore and would only be carrying the regular U.S. postage stamps from now on.

Bill O'Reilly is right. There is a "war on Christmas."
