General Motors, criticized by lawmakers for its use of corporate jets, asked aviation regulators to block the public's ability to track one of its planes. "We availed ourselves of the option as others do to have the aircraft removed" from a Federal Aviation Administration tracking service, GM spokesman Greg Martin said. He declined to discuss why GM made the request.

Thank You, GM!

Just as you beg the US Government (ie We, the taxpayers) to bail you out and keep you afloat, you blur and smoke up transparency.

Why should we hand over several billions of dollars while you keep a fleet of private jets, continue to provide yourselves with golden parachutes, and reward yourselves with year end bonuses?

Congress: I'm all for letting them go bankrupt. But in case you do give them money, please provide as many restrictions as possible. Or, hell, take over their jets and sell them.

Bailout Bums: Stealing YOUR Money:

Holy cow! If they keep up shenanigans like this, they will become indistinguishable from the very government that is bailing them out.

JUMP! You Fuckers!

When money is their god, you just can't wave all those $Billions$ under their most and expect them to suddenly discover a different religion.

It just ain't gonna' happen.

So we might as well get used to it. Any money they get will disappear down a big black hole in their accounting department.

"Couldn't you all have downgraded to first class?" Ackerman said."

Conscientious CEO's jetpool!

So by trying to immerse themselves and their profligate ways in secrecy the US automaker CEOs have only outed themselves.

Now instead of thinking of them just as overpaid, under-achieving lobbyist dependent shiathead the general public can view them as overly secretive, manipulative overpaid, under-achieving lobbyist dependent shiatheads.

Bravo!

The FAIL is strong with these ass-clowns.

A total lack of WIN.

Be Well.

I wold like to know what these guys are getting bonuses for. If they are so lousy that the compamy is going broke, they should get a bonus for that?

Note to mods, link is broken..

Politicians jetting around in private jets scolding CEO's for jetting around in private jets. One is responsible for screwing up a company, the other is NOT responsible for screwing up a country. It is always the fault of someone else.

One more reason why you need to retool and restructure. Wagoneer is an oxymoron! He should not have any more bonuses. Volt now costs $45,000 while the Honda Insight hybrid $19,000. Any questions which one will sell more? Bad Business.

Union's Fault.

The Chi-com Loving Right

Link busted? GM shut this story down. Just another reason why they should not get one cent of the taxpayers money until they are ready to play fair and cut their corporate dollars in the silver skyscraper.

Thanks ZAP! The old style real reporters need to start following Wagoneer. His daily money spending would no doubt top Paris Hilton.

How easy we forget that during WWII-the big 3 saved the free world through manufacturing.

F**K all these right wing haters of the US auto industry. Bail out Bush's Banking Butt Buddies and let fail the companies that produced the aircraft that brought world freedom through superior manufacturing.

True, they DO NEED restructuring, but so does the banking industry. I don't see right wing outcry for the 700 billion dollar giveaway.

you also have citi bank paying 400 million over the next 20 years to put thier name on the new york mets new stadium.

suckers.

"suckers."

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Best summary to date of this whole issue. Forwarded to my Congressman here in VA. Pot & kettle? Hey but lets be sure to let the government take over the big 3. They do such a good job running things. Have you ever been to the Social Security Office, IRS, DMV, public schools, etc.? I work in Waste Mgt for the county where I live and I came from a private Waste Mgt provider & I can tell you it is true down to the trash you through out. Waste and a sense of entitlement. Kill the competition and you kill incentive to perform to a higher standard. (public schools perfect example of that, thanks to the "surprise" teachers unions) We accept shit from our public officials & demonize business all the while praising the unions for "helping the common worker". It's criminal and we deserve what we get. The UAW operates in fear & extortion and are pretty much responsible for this whole mess but Mr. I make $40.00/hr to change a freaking tire would rather put the whole industry under than to sacrifice anything. And as to the WWII comment, true but the workforce at the big 3 today is not the same thanks to fucking lawyers & the "me" attitude. Don't get me wrong people work hard & just want to provide for their families but have been trained to think the employer is lucky to have them not that they are lucky to have a good job like in the WWII era. The mentality now is lets all band together and bitch ourselves out of a job & then want everyone to bail us out because we're the real victims. Private industry, any industry, but particularly where there is even the slightest chance you could get a fucking hangnail is not longer driven by the desire to be successful and innovative, but by the threat of the potential lawsuit. Sometimes management can't win because their in the damn HR office listening to people bitch about stupid shit 24/7. It's not, "how can we turn a profit today?" it's "what can we do to avoid being sued today?" That is not conducive to a productive environment anywhere.

GM needs to go into Chapter 7 . We can sell off the assets to Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. The foreign automakers will rehire and re-train the GM employees. Only then will Chevy ever make a good car

these guys don't give a shit about the company or thecountry. its take what you can while the taking is good.

not one bailout penny for any company without first firing top management and their board.

hey you rightie tighties, how about them apples?

GM and Chrysler will be sold to the Chinese as they have requested. They will not be bailed out.

First of all, idiot most board members are not involved in the daily management decision so getting rid of them wil NOT change anything. Secondly, firing top management and replacing them does not necessarily mean anything will change. The first thing they should do is make a 15% cut in expenses starting with payroll

Sorry but all this "bailout" shit has got to stop. We should have NEVER allowed the Bank "Bailout" to pass. And Yes I am fully aware that some/more Big name banks would go bellyup. GOOD. Guess what happens in the "real world" i.e. when one does not have political clout, and go on making bad buissness deals, loans, etc....? You go outa buisness. What makes these PRIVATE businesses so special. Let em FAIL. If Detriot cant get it throught their skulls that when their company is in bad shape, the executives will be have to tighten their belts as well. When the owners of Ford and GM are filing chapter 11 & 8 then I will listen to them cry. The the tears will taste like sweet honey.

Dear Congress:
Any company stupid enough to develop and market the Hummer during a time of war in the Middle east and during rising fuel prices deserves to go bankrupt.

HOW MANY UNPAID CORPORATE JET RIDES HAVE THESE PONTIFICATING CONGRESS PEOPLE TAKEN?
