I have nothing against guns, or carrying of such. I agree that if Ms. Gratia-Hupp or someone else had been carrying, in a situation with a lone gunman such as she described, the gunman probably could have been stopped.

I am able to enjoy freedom of speech, religion, assembly, relative privacy, the pursuit (not the guarantee) of happiness, working for a living (and living reasonably comfortably), spending time with friends and loved ones, and affordable health care for starters...all from a career in civil service (not a CEO, not a Wall Street insider, not a lottery winner, etc.).
