Prop H8 passes but only by 52% to 48%.

The amendment was a vote to change the constitution of the State of CA.

They can't overturn a state amendment. If they do --it will go to the SCOTUS. Or have anarchy on their steps.

What they are hearing is a case (or cases) of people who got married between May and November.

The question is/are those marriages recognized or valid in the state of CA after the people voted marriage is between a man and a woman?

If they read the amendment--they should only recognize valid marriages as between one man and one woman--That is how the amendment reads "valid".

But seeing the 9th Circus--they will try to overthrow the people again and like vote that the same sex weddings between May and November--have to stay recognized. Try to enfore the 14th amendment, which does not apply in this situation.

Throwing the entire thing to the SCOTUS--because the 9th Circus is not allowed to overthrow the people's vote.

So why don't the gays protest in FL or AR or AK ?? Those states this time voted to recognize man and woman marriages too? And bigger percentages than CA??

Why only bring up the youth vote?--what about the black vote, the hispanic vote and the asian vote who overwhelmingly voted to recognize a marriage as between one man and one woman?
