The remains of an elderly man found in a Polish cathedral in 2005 have now been confirmed to be that of Copernicus, the 16th century astronomer famous for displacing Earth from the center of the universe. A team of Polish researchers have matched DNA extracted from a tooth and a femur bone to that of a strand of hair found in one of Copernicus' old books.

I once found Genghis Khan in an old gym locker.

That's nothing. I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walking with the Queen.

What an interesting discovery.

Thanks Silver

The problem is the hair and body belonged to his stoner underacheiving twin brother Ted Copernicus...

Now his grave can be properly marked as is deserving of a man of his stature.

Why is it that all the dead bodies I find don't belong to anyone famous.

I once saw a queen walking with the Queen...or was that just Charles in his kilt?

Is it me or does Copernicus look like James Cromwell?

Oh my God, Copernicus discovered time travel. Or was it Cromwell? That would explain how Copernicus seemed like such a genious.
I gotta get some sleep.

Just wondering, Valis: What was he doing, and how was his hair?

Too funny! That is exacty what I was thinking.

Except that you thought he meant Fred Copernicus, the pharmacist over at the Rite Aid.

Now what about Mozart? Don't you just love it when people misspell 'genius'.

That's nothing. I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walking with the Queen.

He was doing "The Werewolves of London"

...and his hair was perfect!

Those who know that the consensus of many centuries has sanctioned the conception that the earth remains at rest in the middle of the heavens as its center, would, I reflected, regard it as an insane pronouncement if I made the opposite assertion that the earth moves.

~Nicolaus Copernicus

And yet it moves.

~Galileo

Be Well.

Excellent. Now if we can just find a long blond hair on the shroud of Turin we can we do DNA testing of that and compare it to the DNA found in the average Eucharist wafer.

"I once found Genghis Khan in an old gym locker."

I thought I did too, but when they did the DNA testing they found the hair actually belonged to a guy named Jacques Strapp.

I think Nostradamas predicted this.

But he was wrong. Everyone knows that the Earth is the center of the entire universe! My gal Sarah said so!
BTW, I still love you, Sarah Palin!

Okay, so they found his grave. Now what? They should replace the remains back there, seal same, and let him rest in peace. He found out long ago that the earth revolves around the sun. He was very smart. Today's space scientists sent a telescope (Hubble) to outer space and found out that the thing was pointed towards the earth and had to send dudes back out there to fix the damn thing at a cost of millions. Recently, the lady astronaut lost a tool box in space because she forgot to tie a rope to it. Also, recently, we were told of the discovery of two new planets out there. We are told of black holes, light years, and star lights that we can see of stars that no longer exist. The Russians want to start cruises to outer space at a cost of millions. Look, drink a 5th of rum in half an hour and you'll see stars that not even the Hubble telescope can focus for you, and you will also feel that you are about to fall off a flat earth. You will save lot's of money, and you can tell the Russians to go and take a bath with that soap made famous by the late comedian, Moms Mabley. What soap? Fugg Soap. By the way, when the Russians tell the new upcoming administration that they are going to place missiles in the border with Poland, and that they are going to help Iran get nuclear know how, I hope our new government personnel can tell the Russians to go and Fugg themselves.
