Iran is forging ahead with its nuclear programme, the United Nations' nuclear watchdog reported on Wednesday, deepening the dilemma facing US president-elect Barack Obama over his campaign promise to engage with Tehran.

The latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency reveals that Iran is rapidly increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium, which could be rendered into weapons-grade material should Tehran decide to develop a nuclear device.

Let the Europeans, Saudi Arabia, Russia and China deal with it. Why do we have to put ourselves in the middle of this?

If we start drilling, start investing in alternate fuels. We can get along without oil from the mid-east.

Cripe, instead of spending $25B on the autos, spend it to build infrastructure for Compressed Natural Gas to be used in Cars.

I travel to Brazil a couple times a year. They use it all over down there. Most of the cars I rode in were dual fuel. Gas and CNG. It is kind of cool, there is this little industry built up around it. Because of the nature of CNG, you cannot fill your own car and they do not let you be in the car while they are filling it. So the gas stations have these little expresso bars. You go in, have and expresso while they fill your car. I found it pretty interesting.

But back to the subject. I do not know why we believe we have to stick our nose in everyone's business. It is a no win situation.

As you tell you children, focus on the things you can change. We are not going to change the attitudes of these people. But we sure can begin drilling and invest in our own infrastructure and alternative sources of energy.
