I think Big Three Bailout is a more accurate description, the foreign companies are not asking Washington for help.

At any rate, the bailout is as dead as the Big Three.

Last night on the local news here in Michigan the media was whining, moaning, bitching and complaining about southern lawmakers who they say are the ones who most fiercely oppose this bailout. They made the point that since foreign competitors have facilities in their states, southern lawmakers don't want to help American companies and so on.

Well, instead of criticizing the southern lawmakers for defending their interests, how about if Michigan lawmakers benchmark what thesouthern lawmakers are doing? Yeah, that's right, learn from the bsest, they are obviously doing something right to attract so much foreign investment.

Today on the radio they said that the Michigan unemployment is up to 9.3%. My question is, how high does it have to go before these people quit whining and show some leadership? How high does the unemployment rate in Michigan have to go before Lansing has the guts to pass a right-to-work law, is it 10%, 15%, 20%, maybe 25%?

Oh Danni.....look what your Party has done.

LoL!

Yes, why don't we allow all those foreign companies control our future in economic expansion, it is the future.

Ask yourself, how many of our big three autos are sold in japan, korea, china, and europe and I am sure you will find the exchange is quite fair...........the ignorance will surprise everyone.

Oh, but it is the unions fault.

Let the big three go down, that's the way to make America great and protects our posterity. Let's just give the rest of the world the control of our security future in both military and economic.

I have soon began to lose so much respect for posters I once thought were researched educated.

I am afraid our country will have to go through some very blighted times to teach this younger generation about their ignorance.

I guess the democrat party thinks the future for American workers is either china or walmart.

Nice, we will sustain that world power status by getting our equipment from walmart.

This stuff justs writes itself.

WISGOD and other idiots, it is the Republicans blocking the bailout bill. All this really says about Democrats is that Harry Reid needs to be replaced. The Dems should bring this to a roll call vote and beat every REpublican over the head with their no votes. Working Americans will remember who willingly watched the automakers go under but the Democratic leadership needs to put them on the spot. Replace Harry Reid NOW!!!

Bwahahaha. At least you singled out one member of your party.

I live in MI. The Dems are in control. Look at what is going on. Look at Detroit. Look at the schools in Detroit. Look at the government in Detroit. What a mess. This is what we are in for as a country if the Dems and big labor are allowed to take control.

If I were a Repub I would welcome a vote. There are a lot of people out there who do not want to bail these people out. Not the Auto companies and their management and not Big Labor.

Let the Dems pass this. Let them deal with the consequences. If giving the Autos a handout works, well then they will be fine. If it does not work out, well we all get to vote again in two years.

The Dems are coming to the same realization that Obama is coming to. Running for office is far different from being in office and having to make decisions. Look at how ineffective the Dem controled Congress has been for the past two years. You could argue that the Iraqi gov has passed more meaningful legislation than the Dems.

Ha, Ried wants to blame Bush. What is he going to do when Bush is not around? Who will he blame then. I hope the Dems get the 60 in the Senate. Then they will have no excuses. They will have to stop talking out of both sides of their mouths and make decisions.

"If it does not work out, well we all get to vote again in two years."

If it doesn't work out the money spent in the bailout will seem like the least of our problems.
If it doesn't work out these will seem like the "good old days."

Well, there are a lot of options. Lots of blame to go around. Management needs to change. Labor needs to make consessions, gov needs to "level the playing field" with other nations.

I say let this perk a bit. During the $700B bailout we were told we had to hurry up and do this or the stock market will crash. Well they hurried up and did it and the stock market crashed. Now we have a bill that does not have the correct controls and a lot of the money is very much in danger of being waisted.

Let's take our time, listen to different options and do something where everyone loses something. Because then I believe we will have a situation where everyone also wins.

As the hours ticked down on this year's legislative session, Democratic leadership expressed deep skepticism the talks would lead to a compromise acceptable to all parties.

Translation...We put our finger to the wind and feel the non union American voters are against us.
Hmmmmmmmm. Payback unions...lose voters. Payback unions...lose voters.
We need more time for MSM to scare people.
