see! lower the standards and dreams can come true!!!!

Another bull dyke on the rise.

She' twice the man you are ;-}

ONE MORE VICTORY FOR FEMINIST MOVEMENT???

Good for her.

First female vice President. First female President. Not yet. Females themselves do not want that to happen yet.

Some of the most sexist remarks I've seen in a long time!

Why is it every time you read something good about a woman in the Military people automatically assume she is lesbian??

Besides if she was it was obvious that she had more balls then some of the men she works along side of, and that she achieved and completed all missions and duties she was assigned and required to be awarded her 4 stars. Needless to say that she moved up in the ranks because of her dedication.

I applaud her and could not care less whether or not she is straight or gay!!

Gives new meaning to the term, "moronic".

Making a case for liberal mental disorder more obvious --- Corky and Dumpling.

She wasn't a four-star general who was promoted, she was promoted to a four-star general.

We are a Nation that routinely puts woman into space. It's about time a woman was promoted to 4-star.

We put Women into space because they have put Men into space for centuries.

Can we ban this guy already? He spews nothing but hate - I have yet to see anything of value from his postings. "You are fat and that is why your husband left you," "You are gay and have no worth in the community," there is no point to his/her postings. There is nothing added by allowing this vitriol to blemish a (mostly) friendly discussion.

Now that just makes no sense. There is a big difference between selecting an astronaut and selecting a 4-star General. Not that I am saying she shouldn't have been selected, but there is no tie between the two.

Sorry, need to flag some comments as offensive.

"First female vice President. First female President. Not yet. Females themselves do not want that to happen yet."

And TAKITEZ knows this because women overwhelmingly rejected the idiotic idea of making Sarah Palin VP.
My thought is that the new four star general is probably quite relieved that Palin will NEVER be CinC. Thank God for that!

C'mon, Danni, Takitez is just channeling his inner Delilah.

I know this because of three things....

Women (many of them unmarried) were charmed into fantasy by Obama's rock star promotion by the liberal media; they were lured toward Obama by Oprah; and they were jealous of Palin.

Like I said, channeling your inner Delilah.

A typically Neanderthal view of women as people who can be easily "charmed", "lured", and made "jealous".

This poster is his own shovel.

I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

Good on her. There was no dumbing down of criteria or lowering standards as it pertains to her selection as a 4-star General. Promotions in the officer ranks are brutal.

Honestly making 4-star is like running for public office. You have people going throughout your career looking at how you've performed over the course of your career and all of your ex-bosses get paraded before congress to testify that you earned that rank and you are performing your job to the level of the rank which you are seeking. They especially take every decision you ever made and put it under a microscope.

The reason most females never see that rank is because they are not committed to achieving that rank. It takes 100% dedication on and off duty. It cannot be achieved working 8-12 hour days. You can almost bet she worked 12-15 hour days 6 days a week or more to get to where she's at.

It has absolutely nothing to do with sexism and everything to do with dedication and being goal oriented.
