Karl Rove's final electoral map predicts a Barack Obama electoral rout of 338 votes to John McCain's 200, "the largest electoral vote margin of any candidate since Bill Clinton in 1996." Rove has Obama winning swing states Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia.

I thought I did a month ago...........

WOW

Rove is a landslide of bullshit. This new bullshit is piled up on top of a pile of old bullshit.

He is only trying to stay employed. Just goes to show you the man has no allegiance except to Karl Rove. And Bush, as long as he's keeping him from having to testify.

So did Rove just throw McCain under the Straight Talk Express?

Okay, the guy is a slimy lying sack of shit, but would he put his own credibility on the line with this?

we'll know tomorrow night.

Or Wednesday.

Certainly by Christmas.

I hope.

So did Rove just throw McCain under the Straight Talk Express?

No. That was 8 years ago.

Okay, the guy is a slimy lying sack of shit, but would he put his own credibility on the line with this?

By saying almost exactly what everyone else is saying?????

Not following......

Funny, Matt Drudge hasn't got a single item about this.

Rove has been railed against uniformly by Democrats as someone who cannot be trusted. Wonder how many of them are willing to trust him here.

In fact, some lefty is probably in shambles right now trying to decide whether to say this is another Rove conspiracy or to just agree with him and root for an Obama landslide.

Wonder how many of them are willing to trust him here.

#9 | Posted by JOE

It had nothing to do with "trust". The point is simply that even the master manipulator, and partisan of partisans no longer seems to be able to spin this to McCain's favor.

Joe, context is everything. No one has EVER said Rove doesn't know his electoral map. Ever.

Ha ha.....

Joe.

Ha ha......

I laugh in your face!

Suck it bitch!

Matt Drudge is curled in a tight ball in his Mother's basement-cringing in horror that "one of THOSE people" is going to be POTUS.
The slimebag will recover shortly, and come back attacking.
He's got a LOT of bs stories to pull out of his ass-for the neo-cons to quote-when they try to have Obama Impeached.

"The point is simply that even the master manipulator, and partisan of partisans no longer seems to be able to spin this to McCain's favor."

Translation: I agree with what Rove is saying here, so I no longer think he's a liar.

ELCIDCE90 predicts your electric bill is going to go up by a landslide amount:

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted. - obama

When I was asked earlier about the issue of coalunder my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket - obama

Who do you think this is going to hurt the most? The rich? The middle class? or the poor?

You get what you ask for libtards!

If past elections are any measure, Rove could be making such a statement with only one day until the election, to incite more cons to vote, while making Dems think they won't need to.

In this case I hope Rove means what he says and that he is correct, but it ain't over 'til it's over.

What-it's a two way street-Rove's predictions could cause reluctant GOPpers to stay home. Or, though I doubt most read him, Democrats to stay home, thinking its already in the bag.

Rove is lying and I believe him.

I smell a rat.

Has Rover responded to his subpoena yet?

This guy is the pinnacle of deceit and underhandedness.

I trust Rush Limbaugh to be more honest that this POS.

Turdblossom is just trying to incite more cons to vote thats all.

Rove has known all along.

Why do you think they let McCain have the nomination?

Everything after that was just playing games.

The Hillary game

The Sarah Palin game

The Ayers game

"Rove has been railed against uniformly by Democrats as someone who cannot be trusted. Wonder how many of them are willing to trust him here."

Nothing to trust or distrust. Rove has nothing to lose in pointing out the obvious. Since all he says has a hidden intent, he may think he'll toss a few votes McBush's way. That won't work either. herm

It's going to get much much worse after this.

Rove knows that the onlyhope of McCain is to suppress the vote, by predicting a landslide he encourages some Dems to think their vote isn't that important. I don't believe a single word out of his mouth, if he predicts a landslide it really means he thinks it may be close and those who stay home could be all that is needed.

NG,

You're correct, it could work either way. I think for the last few days of the election we're seeing a bunch of hail-mary's from the McCain camp.

I doubt many dems will be staying home.

I voted on Halloween, while watching The Shining, it was pretty cool.

Rove has Obama winning swing states Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia.

Oddly enuff, those states are all part of McLame's itinerary today.

Rove should call McLame and tell him not to bother, eh?

So, ...Rove the seer has made his li'l pronouncement?

Uh-huh, Spud to Rove:

Yer coming a little late to that party.

It's like predicting a horse race a coupla seconds afore the clearly-in-the-lead horse crosses the finish line.

No great feat.

Spud called Obama fer POTUS back when folks were still saying the US would never vote in large numbers fer a black man fer president.

Spud also called Biden as the perfect running mate fer Obama back when conventional wisdom sed it was to be Hill.

Spud saw it all and sed it all back then.

Wanna know sommat else Spud sees?

Spud sees the days of Rove being a relevant force in American politics coming at long last to a screeching halt.

Rovian politics of unsupportable slurs and non stop character asasination attempts in lieu of substanative debate is a large part of why Obama is winning in such large numbers.

People are plenty pissed off at petty personal politics particularily in time of palpable peril.

/Sorry, Spud luffs the aliteration.

Rove, McCain, the entire GOP tried to make this election about Barack Obama. Turn on the tube and there they were, talking Wright or Ayers or Khalidi or Rezko or Obama's aunt or Obama's brother or the folks that Obama shared his toys with in Kindergarten.

Flip the channel and you'd see Obama talking about the failed policies of Bush and the differences he wanted to bring. Obama talked to and about the American people. Addressing their real concerns and promising to bring about real change.

That is why Obama is gonna win by such a wide margin.

Cos he deserves to.

That is also why McLame and therest of the sad sack GOPhers are gonna achieve such EPIC FAIL.

Cos they, likewise, deserve to.

G08ama.

Be Well.

It's going to get much much worse after this.

And it will have absolutely nothing to do with who sits in the oval office. I know it is hard for a partisan hack to understand, but there are other forces at work other than presidential politics. Supply and demand, for example. But thanks for taking correlation-causation fallacy to the extreme. Good example of how to sound like an ignorant hack.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted. - MCmaverick.

Or did you forget he's all about reducing ghgs too?

So Rove is just confirming what's been obvious for at least six weeks. Pollster.com, 538.com and even RealClearPolitics.com are all saying more or less the same. Nobody except Matt Drudge is saying anything different and he's a ridiculous shill.

All that's debatable is whether Obama gets 350+ EV's or not.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

Rove has been railed against uniformly by Democrats as someone who cannot be trusted. Wonder how many of them are willing to trust him here.

I would assume you have looked into Obama's team of ex-Daley criminals? We already know his prior association with scum. Why would his campaign team be any different? They prompted him to lie through his teeth when questioned and play the race card.

I honestly think that the McCain camp wants Obama supporters to think this is a cakewalk. Obama's base consists of some demographics that don't show up to the polls in high numbers. Maybe if they think they don't have to show up and their guy will win anyway they will do what they've done every other year and not vote.

I honestly think that talk of a landslide hurts Obama way more than it could ever help.

"We already know his prior association with scum."

Kind of like McCain's association with the current administration.

I'll bet he's just part of The Man's (tm) conspiracy to rig this election!

--the Drudgey Left

Let's hope he's got the right math this time.

So did Rove just throw McCain under the Straight Talk Express?

#4 | Posted by Kinger at 2008-11-03 01:05 PM | Reply |

Mccain ran himself over with that bus, Rove just put it in reverse.

What's funny about Rove is that he was wrong--really bad in 2006.

The 8 battleground states are toss ups with too many indecideds to call.

As for the polls--Rasmussen shows 4 of 8 with McCain in the lead and the other 4 states are statistical ties with 7%-9% Undecided.

And with the one saying he wants the coal industry to go bankrupt with cap and trade--unbelievable. He may have just lost PA and OH.

This is going to be close--we'll know soon enough with the east coast closing and then the networks saying it is too close to call. It will be a long night if that occurs.

There are too many undecideds and can't trust the exit polls--they have been wrong for two cycles now.

Red states will stay red and blue states will stay blue. The difference is PA CO and NM. NH may be the upset for McCain.

Kind of like McCain's association with the current administration.

WAW!!!!!! Mommy! That man did it too!!!!

FACT!

But thanks for taking correlation-causation fallacy to the extreme. Good example of how to sound like an ignorant hack.

Funny how k23 and the snow potatoe are quick to discount obammy's attacks against the coal industry. It will be his voting block that is hurt the most by high energy prices. Like I said, you get what you vote for libtards.

Ignorant hack - self retorting flag for sure.

What Conservative Party?

CITATION NEEDED

Maybe El Snidley is just so darned proud of himself that he's memorised the latest Rtard sound bite or sommat but in his haste to pat himself on the back he lkinda fergot that Spud aint made a single statement regarding the coal thang to date.

Read Spud's entire blog you won't find one.

Do a Contol F scan looking fer the word "coal" if ya wanna be quick about it.

/Spud is kinda verbose.

But hey, when did LSD25 ever let a little thing like the truth ever get in his way?

Be Well.

ElCid-

Are you really saying that the president has control over energy prices? Are you saying energy costs will not increase under McCain or anyone else? Are you saying anything other than you are a straight ticket voter who'll correlate anything to make a case of causation? Are you ignoring supply and demand realities on purpose or are you just stupid?

Keep calling conservative posters libtards though. It makes you look so smart. Tool.

Now the little fat man is just sucking up. Wants "The Bomb " to go easy on him once he's elected.

Anyone notice that the text in the linked article has changed? Numbers too.

"The difference is PA CO and NM. NH may be the upset for McCain."

PA's 21 EV's were never were in play, even before Ashley Todd and her backward "B"(did that reek of dirty tricks or what?). The money would have been better spent in VA which might just have been in play but McCain chose to make an effort in PA out of desperation. Being maverick-y again, he gets carried away by how the media portrays him.

A lot of Republicans think that the money and effort should have been spent in places where it might have helped their candidates in House and Senate races.

AZ is more in play for Obama than PA is for McCain and nobody seriously thinks that McCain will lose in his home state like Gore did in 2000.

Forget about NM, CO and NH.

More Rovian tactics.

He's trying to paint it as such a huge landslide that it won't even be necessary for you to vote for Obama.

Don't believe the hype.....VOTE!

"Anyone notice that the text in the linked article has changed? Numbers too."

Hey, it's Karl Rove. I wouldn't be surprised if the candidates' names get diddled with, too. Y'know, something truly Rovian like Captain America versis The Anti-Christ.

versis = versus

This is pure Karl Rove Bullshit to try and keep Obama supporters from showing up at the Polls by trying to convince them that Obama has already won !

PA is in play

Riiiight!

And John McCain is a secret Muslim.

Where do you get this shiat from, Murph?

Pollster.com has Obama ahead 52.1% to McCains 44.4% in the latest PA polls.

www.pollster.com

Which pretty much matches up with their national poll which has Obama 52.5% to McCain's 44.4%

Did you get that info in a "mystery e-mail"?

^_^

Be Well.

Hard to believe that many voters will be duped.

Thanks a lot to whoever put up this thread without a warning that the link would direct us to Rove's website.

I feel so DIRTY. Yuck.

As for its newsworthiness, Rove says what Rove says for Rove's purposes. Whatever they are, nothing he says can be taken as a legitimate, honest, and forthright expression of his opinions. He's paid to consult, but he just keeps on spinning.

Likely purpose? To discourage Dems from voting and temper the crushing defeat of GOP Senators.

Murphy STOP!!!

You are wearing out my < cntl > C

I am with you Murphy. A while ago I would have said Mac did not stand a chance. Now I am not so sure.
Maybe it is wishful thinking.
I guess we know tomorrow.

Rove has been showing an electoral college advantage for Obama for months now. As the undecided states fell to one side or the other, the Obama lead broadened. Rove doesn't have a horse in this race beyond what his personal preference may be - this year he's paid as a commentator, not as a political operative. The slimeballs in Obama's camp put Rove's past tactics to shame.

He's got a LOT of bs stories to pull out of his ass-for the neo-cons to quote-when they try to have Obama Impeached.

Yup...classy stuff!

Poor Murphy... paying the violin on the sinking ship...how "loyal" of you!

Well, this election is all about HOPE.

Guess we are just HOPING for different things.

I am HOPING for a real change and you are HOPING for 4 more years of the same crap.

Good luck with that!

"The slimeballs in Obama's camp put Rove's past tactics to shame."

You have to wonder, does this clown really believe nonsense like that??? How is John McCain's illigitimate black daughter by the way??

"Playing the violin!!!"

This is pure Karl Rove Bullshit to try and keep Obama supporters from showing up at the Polls by trying to convince them that Obama has already won !

DON'T TAKE THE BAIT PEOPLE !! THIS GUY IS A SCUMBAG WITH A CAPITAL "S"

Just curious which ignorant, lazy, good for nothing dems would listen to Karl Rove? According to the brilliant posters here Fox News is strictly viewed by republicans. Rove is crucified by the press and seen as the devil. Just who are these people living under a rock you are scared will be influenced?

"This is pure Karl Rove Bullshit to try and keep Obama supporters from showing up at the Polls by trying to convince them that Obama has already won !"

Now that's more like it!

If you vote for lesser of two evils, you vote for the evil of two lessors.

except that Obama is not evil, nor is he a member of the evil party.

Yep, this is the ol' Karl Rove double-double. He wants Dems to get complacent, so that McThusaleh will have that much more of a chance.

Is is just me, or does this comment by Rove make anyone else suspicious too?

The slimeballs in Obama's camp put Rove's past tactics to shame.

To which slimeballs do you refer?

If it's slimeballs you seek, perhaps the GOP should look in the mirror. National talk radio programs spew anti-Obama rhetoric for hours without any type of challenge or supporting documentation. People on this board create all sorts of rumors about Obama. (Today's rumors are that his aunt is an illegal immigrant and that he intends to bankrupt coal.) If you do some research, you will find that Republican distortions are the source of campaign lies this fall.

except that Obama is not evil, nor is he a member of the evil party.

The Party that sold their Country out by nominating three of the most inexperienced candidates in history? All have a few things in common. No military service. Never won a local, County or State postion running said offices. All are lawyers. All are or were Junior Senators with nothing to show for their minimul time in office. Finally Nancy Fucking Pelosi and the old prick Harry Reid. How is that not the Party of evil?

If it's slimeballs you seek, perhaps the GOP should look in the mirror. National talk radio programs spew anti-Obama rhetoric for hours without any type of challenge or supporting documentation.

Man I know. Hilary and the Barrack's presidental opponents bringing up Wright, Rezko, Ayers... Of course Obamas remarks when challenged prove he is the real slimeball. Or his campaign people.

I do understand that polls play a part in this process. They are trying their best and want to be right. They have their reputations riding on it. But some of the polls are over sampling Dems or blacks and not being candid with the samples. Some are out right lying and don't care about their reputation.

The problem I have with them is the old addage--garbage in garbage out.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't believe 99% of the black vote is going for Obama.

I don't think people are telling the truth when they are polled.

I believe that there are significant numbers of Hillary voters voting for McCain.

I also believe that the majority 7%-9% of the undecideds will vote for McCain.

The races in the battleground states are all but one within the statistical tie and again the undecideds are 7% in almost every state.

"But some of the polls are over sampling Dems or blacks and not being candid with the samples. Some are out right lying and don't care about their reputation."

Which ones? How do you know? PLEASE share. Something other than your BELIEFS that is.

Kevin go look it up yourself--they do it all the time.

As for the state polls the Mason polls have historically been the most accurate--and all of then are close.

Look for CO to do something funky here--they have coal mining in their state too--

Since Obama wants to BK the coal industry--that 5 point lead he has just shrank.

"Look for CO to do something funky here--they have coal mining in their state too--

One last thing to hang your hopes on, eh, Goofy?

We shall see that we shall see.

Form Mason-Dixon's own site--but an NBC article:

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Some might be interpreting the latest Mason-Dixon polls as showing weakness for Obama since he has not reached 50%.

It's true that the bad news for Obama in these polls is, as we wrote in First Read, that he hasn't reached 50%. But it should also be pointed out that Obama's position has actually gotten stronger -- when looking at the Mason-Dixon poll trendlines -- particularly in states like Colorado, Nevada and Virginia. In other states, movement has been negligible and within the margin of error.

Or is he trying to get out the vote...much like the AP?

Can Obama win popular vote but lose election? --Associated Press

WASHINGTON It's a nightmare scenario for Democrats their nominee Barack Obama winning the popular vote while Republican John McCain ekes out an Electoral College victory. Sure, McCain trails in every recent national poll. Sure, surveys show that Obama leads in the race to reach the requisite 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.
Sure, chances of Republicans retaining the White House are remote.

But some last-minute state polls show the GOP nominee closing the gap in key states Republican turf of Virginia, Florida and Ohio among them, and Democratic-leaning Pennsylvania, too.
If the tightening polls are correct and undecided voters in those states break McCain's way both big ifs that could make for a repeat of the 2000 heartbreaker for Democrats that gave Republicans the White House.

Bwahahah!

"Bwahahah...."

Statistical modeling shows eleven chances in one thousand MAC'S scenario will occur.

No matter who wins tomorrow, retire that "Bwaha" crap for the sake of the nation,

"I don't think people are telling the truth when they're polled...."

If that gives you comfort over the next 48 hours, by all means cling to it.

This is a win-win situation for Rove. I seriously doubt that any Democratic voters will be lulled into not voting over this report, but if he gets some to stay home he's accomplished something in a small way; Obama still wins. However, if Obama only takes 300 electoral votes, or there about, then Rove can spin this into a Republican moral victory. An "It could've been a lot worse than it was," sort of moral victory.

Good point Jay

Larry,

WTF?

1)Bond first meets Goldfinger in Miami where he makes him lose at cards. 2)Then at a golf course in England where he beats him for money. 3) Then when Goldfinger is meeting the Chinese where they are plotting the usual Bond villain world domination plan. Bond turns up in his "interesting" Aston Martin and gets caught prompting the "Ah, Mr Bond" line.

There's a later scene where Bond is tied up with a laser approaching his "family jewels". He says to Goldfinger: "Do you expect me talk". Goldfinger replies "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die". Bond escapes, of course. McCain won't.

"ELCIDCE90 predicts your electric bill is going to go up by a landslide amount"
EXACTLY this is the only way these pretend "GREEN JOBS" can be created. Obama will be fine with it just as long as its a steady increase.

Then he will raise cap gains tax for fairness. Then you will need to share your house with the homeless for fairness, Then you will have to give some more of your paycheck to pay for some kids college tuiton so he can get out of school someday and take your job. haha

PLEASE PEOPLE! Don't listen to this. This is an attempt by Karl Rove to get Obama voters to stay home, especially on the West coast. Get out and vote no matter what! Remember what Barack has been telling us. Don't take anything for granted. Don't ASSUME that he will win. He needs your vote. Get out and cast your vote for Barack Obama if you want to assure that he wins. Don't let anything even a "positive" report from Karl Rove, or any Republican keep you from casting your vote!
