Nothing really to do with the Keating Five story, but I thought you might find this bit of info interesting --

I only learned a couple weeks ago that a convicted felon can be a U.S. Senator. Not only that, if a Senator is convicted of a felony while serving in office, he gets to keep all his retirement earned and his Senate pension. Unbelieveable. We won't allow a convicted felon to cast a vote in our general elections yet we allow a convicted felon to become (or remain) a U.S. Senator. Go figure.
