Sure, it's easy to pile on Bush... and I've certainly had my differences with his policies. As a conservative I've been concerned with spending, immigration and the Iraq war earlier on.

On his plus side I think Dubya has been steadfast in working toward a successful conclusion in Iraq when it often looked pragmatic to cut and run.

I like that he worked to cut taxes and tried to address the Social Security problem and some other issues when he had more political capital.

He made numerous mistakes and those have been noted here a time or two.

I trust Republicans will learn from past missteps. Nominating McCain wasn't a great start, but he's what we have to work with.

But I don't and have never seen the "we haven't been attacked since 9/11!" argument as a valid one. Technically, yes, it's true. But are we actually more secure? Can you provide tangible evidence that the Bush administration's policies have led to a direct increase in this nation's security?

Hahahahah, you think your being funny Spud, but my ex talked this dude into giving us a giant mirror (we sold his house and workshop). It was a mirror about 7 x 4 feet and she had our crew put it into the ceiling.

Well, everything was fun and games until the big earthquake a few years ago...It fell and literally cut our bed in half..... If it had happened when we were there, we would have been killed....

I was in the shower when it hit, nothing like seeing the house crack in half while you are taking a shower to make you aware of earthquakes.

First and foremost I'll miss the tight grip he had on the media and the investigative journalists who bent over and gave into him by not asking questions, not investigating, and not reporting on the many issues including:

The voting scandals of 2000 and 2004 elections and the rigged voting machines.

The supposedly suicide of the whistle blower who was going to expose the voting machines story.

At the very least the collapse of building 7 and the destruction of all the papers on Enron (not to mention many others) within the structure.

The fabricated and false evidence to justify attacking Iraq.

The million man march against the Iraq war in New York.

Creating new terms such as "Illegal Combatant" and "Insurgent" to bypass the Geneva Convention and the due process laws.

The partnership of the Bush and the Bin Laden family in the Carlyle Group which sells arms.

The involvement of the Dick Cheney controlled Halliburton in any all military and oil contracts in the two wars.

The torturing of the captured people.

The sick Abu Gharib scandal.

The sick Guantanamo Bay scandal.

The crash of the economy and the Wall Street due to his failed & faulty policies.

Fortunately or unfortunately this is all I remember at the moment but shame on you, yes you, the journalists that gave in, bent over, and shook with fear succumbing to his dictatorship. Most of these tragedies would not have happened if you had stood your ground and held him accountable for his crimes. It's too late now to stop any of these BUT now that he is getting weaker by the day the very least you can do is redeem yourselves by coming out and expose him and his administration like never before. Teach him and any of his future successors that this will never happen again. Impeach him.

The real question is will you now have the balls to do it?
