Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Sunday, November 02, 2008

On the last weekend before he has a president-elect hogging the spotlight, the New York Times asked several people, including Ari Fleischer, Jacob Weisberg and Scott McClellan, what they'll miss about President George W. Bush.

Nothing. Adios, asshole(s).

Is this a trick question?

I guess I'll miss the certainty of knowing that he only had the interests of a select few at heart. Whoever comes next, I'll probably have to spend a couple of months figuring that out again.

I will miss the misery.

What Will You Miss About Bush?

I remember the Bush years... When we were Americans. *sniff*

He was a good source of material for comedians.

lol

His eloquence.

His compassion.

it's not like he's going cut his tummy open...hara-kiri.

If he can be persuaded to move to Karachi, I would like him to be my neighbor and we can hang out.

I will even let him borrow my power tools.

?

I will miss the fear. Being afraid to speak out against mistakes my government was making in fear of retribution against me and my family.

I'll be missing the time our collective IQ went down 25 points.

I'll be missing the man's brilliant military strategies.

I'll miss watching David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, John Steward, Steven Colbert, etc.

They cannot be as funny as they have been in the last 8 years.

I'll also miss Dick Cheney's warmth and the steady aim of his 12 guage.

I'll miss his staggering intellect.

I will miss the integrity of the man. What he believes is right is what guides his actions. I hope the next President, whichever man wins will act on his beliefs.

His hubris cocoon

I hope the next President, whichever man wins will act on his beliefs.

I hope not.

Yesterday going to the supermarket, I saw a propped up sign outside, which for one hideous split-second I thought said "BUSH" on it. It was a flashback to 2000 and 2004. Then I saw that it actually said "SUSHI" and had been partially obstructed when I first saw it.

The relief, and my realization that we will never again see anybody called BUSH running for President, was palpable.

I didn't buy sushi, but I bought strawberries and apples, and thought of buying flowers.

Tuesday, I will.

Miss about Dumbya?

Lessee now, not his annoying smirk.
Not his intellectual incuriousness.
Definitely not his perpetual lies.
Not his pro-torture policies.
Nor his ruinous economic policies.

Dang, is hard question.

In all honesty the only thing Spud'll miss will be the lives the of those lost under his disastrous rogue regime.

Bigger question is ...wot'll Bush miss about the US when he moves to a non extradictable country to count all his stolen loot?

Prolly Jeff Gannon's ass, most of all.

Be Well.

I will miss the signing statements, what are we going to without them. Where else are you going to find a guy who signs a bill into law, then immediately tells us that it's not illegal when HE breaks it.

I would rather have 8 more years of Bush than 1 day of this knuckle dragging baffoon called Obama.

I will miss the entertaining defenses of his shit by trite-wingers.

Nothing. Nothing at all.

Integrity? The man has told the American people nothing but whoppers for the past eight years, and you'll miss his "integrity?" Have you been off planet for the past couple of election cycles?

The guy on Friday night that shot the trick-or-treaters because he somehow got it into his crack-addled brain pan that he was being attacked probably believed he also was in the right. You can see how well that from-the-hip exercise in poor judgment turned out.

We can't be free of this feckless silver spooner and his posse of ghouls quick enough to suit me. BushCo LLC has been infuriatingly fortunate in that every one of those tacky Bond villains should be cooling their heels in Levenworth.

If you're going to use the phrase, "knuckle dragging," perhaps you should get the "buffoon" spelling part right so it doesn't look like you're a "hypocritical moron."

Quotation marks brought to you by McSame's concern for "women's health."

I will miss comedians not haveing to work for their material.

I will miss haveing a ready scapegoat.

But most of all, I'll miss that endearing smirk, when he only mangles one to two words of a sentence, and clearly thinks, "hah, nailed it."

I would rather have 8 more years of Bush than 1 day of this knuckle dragging baffoon called Obama.

The word is "buffoon", buffoon. Enjoy the next 8 years.

;-)

Time for a new mouse. I've worn this poor thing down to the point that the left button only works intermittently, hence the double post. They don't last forever, do they?

It's gonna be hard not being smarter than the president anymore.... Being able to tell him he's wrong with such righteous force.

Ah well. I can't be smarter than the pres all the time.

"HAVEING"?

"I'll definitely miss the weekly milking. George has such warm, smooth hands." - Mr Ed

Here is what I'll Miss most !!

www.youtube.com

Cork: FF!

Mr Ed is really pissed about Obama...

www.snopes.com

The easy way he had of making my dog feel intellectually superior to him.

But it's gonna be hard for the comedians for the next 8 years. No Bush, No Mccadaver...

Miss? Apparently either 0bama or McCain is gonna win so what is there gonna be to miss - the Bush twins? Well I'll give you that.

I'll miss having a president whose party is the minority in Congress. Our government works best when there's balance.

And Revjack, I'm pretty sure you'll still be smarter than the next president. Obama hasn't demonstrated any notable intelligence to me. All he seems to do is parrot what his handlers tell him.

Huh??? Is this one of them thar dumbass questions that You get asked from time to time. What a stupid idiotic question.

Larry

I'll miss the creeped out feeling I get after a bushie speech-when my wife's plants laugh maniacally at his stupidity.......

I'm not too surprised that with all the invective here, nobody has yet mentioned the one thing that Bush has accomplished, and that one thing affects us all. Hate the war and Patriot Act all you like but,

THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH, FOR KEEPING AMERICA SAFE FROM TERRORIST ATTACKS FOR ALL THESE YEARS.

Will he be in the phone book? Can anyone call him up? Dial-a-joke service?

It only costs 2 rupees a minute to call America... cheaper than peanuts.

"THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH, FOR KEEPING AMERICA SAFE FROM TERRORIST ATTACKS FOR ALL THESE YEARS."

Did you also thank Clinton for keeping us safe from 1993(first WTC bombing)-2000?

Damn. I read the headline and thought he passed away.

Hey Densey?

Has it occured to you that had Bush paid a tiny bit of attention to that little report he was handed and put into place the airport security when it should have been put into place...PRIOR to the WORST TERRORIST ATTACK ON OUR GROUND IN HISTORY...under Bush's watch, that 911 would just be another day in September, rather than the horrific memomory we now remember it as??

Yea, thanks Bush.

I will miss the fear. Being afraid to speak out against mistakes my government was making in fear of retribution against me and my family.

As mediocre as Bush has been this post cries out for a "Clinically Paranoia" flag.

"As mediocre as Bush has been....."

If Bush was mediocre then Carter's performance in the same office was superhuman.

I'm going to miss the sign on my phone at work:

"Use big words. Bush is listening!"

I will miss the integrity of the man. What he believes is right is what guides his actions. I hope the next President, whichever man wins will act on his beliefs.

#16 | Posted by Siefbob at 2008-11-02 11:30 AM

You must have been a great fan of Adolf Hitler too..Huh??

I mean Hitlers integrity...acting on his belief and what he thought was right.

This Country is full of fucking assholes !!!

***Did you also thank Clinton for keeping us safe from 1993(first WTC bombing)-2000?***

No, there's no need to thank Clinton. It was his inaction after WTC-1993, Cole, Kobar Towers, passing on the handing over of Bin Laden that did more to empower the terrorists and encourage them to strike the USA big time.

The Clinton administration treated terrorist acts as law enforcement issues rather than acts of war. Read up on the leads that Clinton's policy tossed away.

So no, Clinton and his policies deserve more blame than praise. But thanks for playing, we have some nice consolation gifts for you.

I will never forget the time when Bush, after being criticized for not having a brain and being to ignorant to answer any question that was not pre orchestrated with the Press and answers pre-rehearsed, he finally went on National TV and took open questions. Everything was going OK until a report asked a question that was something like, You said every leader in office should be able to tell you what his biggest mistakes have been or areas he needs to work with. I don't know the exact wording, but the viewers literally saw the wheels come off the wagon and the President completely humiliate himself. He just keep getting deeper and deeper into it and was so embarrassed, just left and never ever did that again.

If you believe a person is a true idiot on the highest level, than, nothing matters. You cannot miss anything. Even President Reagan thought the guy was a disaster. I would what he would be thinking about Bush if he were still alive and could think

Bushes Approval ratings of between 20 - 24% nationally amoung the American people say's everything about this imbecile. He will go down in history arguably as the most incompetent, pigheaded, and inept President in our 230 plus year history.

In your end analysis..I hope you come to the very clear conclusion that assholes like yourself put him in office for (8) years and that he has nearly destroyed the middle class in this country and our Constitution

But thanks for playing, we have some nice consolation house foreclosure gifts for you.

"The Clinton administration treated terrorist acts as law enforcement issues rather than acts of war."

And the perps responsible for WTC '93 are rotting in jail.

Where's bin Laden? So much for the "acts of war" argument.

But thanks for playing, we have some nice consolation gifts for you.

Harrier, your assumption that I voted for Bush is incorrect, as is most of what you say. You and most of your ilk are unable to separate your personal animus from any subjective analysis. How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO. And for that Bush deserves due credit. How people can complain that they are still alive is astonishing.

"How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO. "

Um...9/11...?

"How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO."

Zero?????

I can think of a few thousand families who would disagree with you.

"How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO."

Actually, that number is 2,974, not ZERO.

en.wikipedia.org

Where have you been?

"While DIN failed to say it, I think we can reasonably assume he's talking post-9/11, can't we?"

Nope.

"While DIN failed to say it, I think we can reasonably assume he's talking post-9/11, can't we?"

Oh, so after the tremendous blunder of failing to protect this country which resulted in 911...that's when we start counting??? And AFTER trying to argue a hypothetical regarding Gore or Kerry???

OMG

You people are amazing.

2002
June 14, Karachi, Pakistan: bomb explodes outside American consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing 12. Linked to al-Qaeda.
2003
May 12, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: suicide bombers kill 34, including 8 Americans, at housing compounds for Westerners. Al-Qaeda suspected.
2004
May 2931, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists attack the offices of a Saudi oil company in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, take foreign oil workers hostage in a nearby residential compound, leaving 22 people dead including one American.
June 1119, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists kidnap and execute Paul Johnson Jr., an American, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 2 other Americans and BBC cameraman killed by gun attacks.
Dec. 6, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: terrorists storm the U.S. consulate, killing 5 consulate employees. 4 terrorists were killed by Saudi security.
2005
Nov. 9, Amman, Jordan: suicide bombers hit 3 American hotels, Radisson, Grand Hyatt, and Days Inn, in Amman, Jordan, killing 57. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.
2006
Sept. 13, Damascus, Syria: an attack by four gunman on the American embassy is foiled.
2007
Jan. 12, Athens, Greece: the U.S. embassy is fired on by an anti-tank missile causing damage but no injuries.
Dec. 11, Algeria: more than 60 people are killed, including 11 United Nations staff members, when Al Qaeda terrorists detonate two car bombs near Algeria's Constitutional Council and the United Nations offices.
2008
May 26, Iraq: a suicide bomber on a motorcycle kills six U.S. soldiers and wounds 18 others in Tarmiya.
June 24, Iraq: a suicide bomber kills at least 20 people, including three U.S. Marines, at a meeting between sheiks and Americans in Karmah, a town west of Baghdad.
June 12, Afghanistan: four American servicemen are killed when a roadside bomb explodes near a U.S. military vehicle in Farah Province.
July 13, Afghanistan: nine U.S.soldiers and at least 15 NATO troops die when Taliban militants boldly attack an American base in Kunar Province, which borders Pakistan. It's the most deadly against U.S. troops in three years.
Aug. 18 and 19, Afghanistan: as many as 15 suicide bombers backed by about 30 militants attack a U.S. military base, Camp Salerno, in Bamiyan. Fighting between U.S. troops and members of the Taliban rages overnight. No U.S. troops are killed.
Sept. 16, Yemen: a car bomb and a rocket strike the U.S. embassy in Yemen as staff arrived to work, killing 16 people, including 4 civilians. At least 25 suspected al-Qaeda militants are arrested for the attack.

"You people are amazing."

Apparently that's all they have left.

"I think we can reasonably assume he's talking post-9/11, can't we?"

In that case, using his own barometer, (Cole, Khobar Towers) he's way off. Our worldwide installations have been attacked, haven't they?

And regarding Iraq, we're lining the streets over there. Does where an American dies now make all the difference?

"And regarding Iraq, we're lining the streets over there."

Excellent point!

"Does where an American dies now make all the difference?"

Indeed.

How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is

4189 dead you don't have to guess about.

Yeah since the Human Body is supposedly of the earth then doesn't that make every American and US Person Sovereign American Soil no matter where they go??

Larry

"For the number to be "zero" we've got to be talking about domestic, post-9/11 al-qaeda attacks here."

Why is it you all don't want to talk PRE 911??

After all, it was under Bush's watch was it not?? Densey was talking about the Gore or Kerry administration had they been elected. I'm quite sure he would have included ANY loss of life in his argument under that situation.

Any way you cut this...you are in a losing argument Oohrah. This is not washing.

How insulting to those who lost their lives for you people to ignore that horrible day.

OohRah see My post #64. it hasn't been ZERO since 9-11-01.

Larry

Lisa the Right WIngers want to forget that they supported a fucking loser. They don't have the fucking guts to admit the truth to themselves because they are lowly cowards.

Larry

"How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO."

Stupidest post of the day.

And around here that's really sayin sommat.

If Gore had not had his 500,000 vote victory nullified chances are that he wouldn't have deliberately sat on his hands and refused to ackowledge the red flags leading up to 9/11.

Of course, Gore wouldn't have gone into office looking for a way to gain the political capitol neccessary to start an invasion and occupation of Iraq on behalf of Halliburton, BigOil and the MIC.

/Spud won't dignify the invasion by calling it a "war" cos that would be like calling Mike Tyson beating a three year old girl to death a "fight".

Also, are only American casualties important?

Aren't the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis worth a moments consideration here?

The milllions of suffering refugees living in poverty and despair?

Ya wanna argue that Bush kept terrorism from the streets of the US?

Well, Spud's kept America free from zebra stampedes in that same time period and so far no thanx fer Spud.

Buncha ingrates!

G08ama.

Be Well.

Given that the Bush policies have created several more generations of high recruitment for Al-Qaeda...the actual number of American bodies lining the streets because we had to suffer 8 years of the Bush administration will never be fully known.

Thank you Spud!! : )

Outstanding point!

NOTHING if McCain wins,
virtually everything if The Messiah wins and turns us into Moscow West.

Dinsey is a coward that cringes at the thought of terrorist attacks. You have a greater chance of getting struck by lightning.

Also, are only American casualties important?

These 'patriots' want to only address Bush's 'effectiveness' from 9/12 to the present with a domestic qualifier as well. Do you think they give a rats ass about other causalities? They don't even want to acknowledge their own KIA.

"He was not ignoring that day."

He wasn't??? I believe you're the only one so far to believe that. No mention of it....zero, he states Sure sounds like he's ignoring it to me.

"In my view his point was to commend the actions Bush took FOLLOWING 9/11 to prevent another domestic terror attack - particularly one the size and scope of 9/11. To that end he's been successful. Has he not?"

Well, Oohrah, I don't believe that either, since in his original post, he states that we will never know the number if we had a Gore or Kerry administration, which would begin the day they took office....not post tragedy.

That's not even logical to compare the two then..hypothetically or not.

Larry because I feel that I add something missing to the discussion that occurs here. I speak the truth. That is something you need to hear.

It is funny to me...how the 'macho' right-wingers seem to be the most fearful. You would think with most of them owning the 'eternal life' insurance card, they would have less to fear and wouldn't succomb to scare tactics so easily...

See this is just the reason why I don't participate in Your Friday Night Music fests. I don't trust You nor Jackass. You have shown to Me what You really are when You don't think I would know. I know about You two and what You discussed about Me over at the PWZ. You would be surprised what one learns about another when they aren't suspected of seeing and learning about it.

Larry

Thank you Spud!! : )

Yer welcome Lady Lisa, ta fer that, yer a peach!

"What will you miss about Bush?"

Luff Shyster's repsonse there.

NOTHING if McCain wins

Cos if McCain wins it'll be just like Bush never left?

Interesting.

Thanx fer admitting that McCain = Bush.

America literally cannot afford another 4 years of the last eight.

McBush following in the same torture happy, war mongering, fear mongering footsteps of Dumbya the destroyers will have nothing but negative consequences.

America will finally become Nazi Germany West.

Do not want.

This creeping fascism BushCo has achieved in the US has already altered forever the world percieves and deals with the US.

Not in a good way.

Spud notes that Shyster playing Dr Pavlov and ringing that "Commie" bell over and over is getting less and less traction.

And this among a people who've been conditioned to respond to it with fear and obedience fer the last coupla generations.

You push buttons long enuff they eventually break.

What on earth are you talking about? You are the one who baits people into dumps. Why don't you stop instigating stuff with me and others and you might find your stay to be a little more peaceful. Larry it is awful hard to feel sorry for somebody who brings misfortune upon themselves.

Larry I don't ever recall any discussion of you at the PWZ. All we ever did was extend you an invite.

Larry, you are full of hate. Jackass has done ten times worse shit to me and we can still be buddies, (I got him back, I didn't whine about it) quit your crying and leave some of the hate behind.

You are full of venom man, it's killing you. Try working out instead of spewing hate all day long.

Like President Bush, it's done, he's gone, all this sick hatred spewed here is wasted energy that is a cancer on all of your souls.

BULLSHIT I bait no one. Why don't You accept full responsibility for what You have done. I know many a convict better than You. At least they have accepted their culpability for their crimes.

Larry

In Europe, we wish to forget him asap; he made us hate the US if not the American people. We look forward to loving America again.
The whole world would elect Obama if it had the vote.

Hamdan, the whole world doesn't get a vote. This is America and we are going to do what is best for America.

If you're not an American, you don't have a say in what happens here.

And if you hate America, that hate is relflected squarely back at you.

What Will You Miss About Bush?

That faint yet nasty taste of bile in the back of my throat everytime I see him on TV.

Hamdan, not all of us Americans are as unwilling to earn and accept a little love and respect back from our international brothers and sisters. Those of us who have opposed Bush's policies have been called everything from traitors to godless American-haters, by the folks from the far right. They tell us how unAmerican it is to criticize the President in times like these. But watch closely how after Jan 20, 2009, these same folk will say that criticizing the President during tough times like these, is more patriotic than mom, apple pie, and Jesus put together. And God bless em, for once they'll be right!

I'm late to the thread. There has only been one defense of Bush and that was Dinsey at #41 who thanked him for keeping us safe and for the number of dead Americans on his watch being zero.

Dinsey completely forgot about 9/11 or just didn't see it as relevant to the number zero he was fixated on. I'll miss that kind of superpartisan delusion that has defined the Bush presidency. And be glad to.

Bush was essentially useless as a president and the national need to ignore that led directly to the mess we're in now. Eight years was just too long to keep dodging bullets.

" There has only been one defense of Bush and that was Dinsey..."

One too many.

They tell us how unAmerican it is to criticize the President in times like these. But watch closely how after Jan 20, 2009,

That's a great point. Obama will be a "war President" from day one, will the right see it the same? They say we should support the President in a time of war, that's it's unpatriotic and dangerous to the troops to let our enemies see dissent. Will they support Obama?

How can we miss him when every day of our lives for decades to come will be shaped by his mistakes?

Will they support Obama?

Not a chance in hell.

You'll see your first Impeach Obama bumper sticker on !-21-09.

" Will they support Obama?"

Nope.

They didn't support Clinton, cry foul when Bush wasn't supported..and now will turn around and say the reason they don't support Obama is because Bush wasn't supported...even when given reason not to.

It's childish and really...none of this matters.

Partisanship...I can't stand it.

Lisa I asked you a question about your relationship. I command you to answer me.

I like that he worked to cut taxes

Ooh

Really don't understand how we're to wage two wars successfully AND cut taxes.

That is dishonest, immature, and selfish.

-Dubya has been steadfast in working toward a successful conclusion in Iraq

GW has been finally dragged kicking and screaming into more rational policies, first by Patreous, then by Dem policies, as reflected by the recent plan agreed to with Iraq, which looks very much like the plans that all the Dem candidates in the primary advocated.

- I fail to see how we can tax ourselves toward prosperity.

A hollow echo of the same, things that were said of Bill Clinton's tax policy in 1093 when he proposed the same cuts Obama is proposing.

And the result was 23 million new jobs, debt reduction, and budget surpluses.

Which Bush then gleefully threw away with the same policies McCain represents.

1993

Just thinking that with some shared sacrifice (instead of shopping more and cashing tax rebate checks) the wars would have come to a successful conclusion in less time than it took to defeat Germany, Japan, and Italy.

Hope your boy is well.

You bet. Remember these golden oldies. Republicans from the top down choose not to. Quotes 1 and 2 leave you speechless, Quotes 4 and 5 leave you needing a shower.

"If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy."
-Karen Hughes, speaking on behalf of presidential candidate George W. Bush

"Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
-Governor George W. Bush (R-TX)

"I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our overextended military. There is no explanation defining what vital national interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the President started this thing, and there still is no plan today"
-Representative Tom Delay (R-TX)

"You can support the troops but not the president"
-Representative Tom Delay (R-TX)

For us to call this a victory and to commend the President of the United States as the Commander in Chief showing great leadership in Operation Allied Force is a farce"
-Representative Tom Delay (R-TX)

And finally, the Wiener.

"These international war criminals were led by Gen. Wesley Clark ... who clicked his shiny heels for the commander-in-grief, Bill Clinton."
-Michael Savage

Do you honestly believe the more we raise taxes the stronger this country becomes?
~Oorhrah

Do you really believe cutting taxes in time of war paying for the war borrowing from China makes this country stronger?

Do you really believe this war has made this country stronger?

-We cut spending.

There will be more government spending, as even Republican economist Ben Stein admitted has to be done, perhaps as a stimulus package, as long as we are in this recession.

Do you honestly believe the more we raise taxes the stronger this country becomes?

#119 | Posted by OohRah at

That's just hyperbole. Clinton came in, raised a few percentage points on the wealthiest 5 percent and lowered taxes for 95 percent of Americans, and we know what positives resulted in the economy.

Cutting taxes during wartime is not going to grow the economy-all it's going to "grow"-is the public debt.
I would think-as a "conservative" you'd be opposed to increasing the public debt.
So much for bein' "conservative".....

As an aside-he didn't "try to address" the Social Security problem-he tried to privatize it.
Just hand the whole damned thing to Wall Street.
After last Month-we're all glad he's such a failure.

That is ok Lisa. I know you are afraid of debating me again

I know you are afraid of debating me again

You can't debate a liar. You can only refute the lie.

Ozark If I recall you lost several rounds with of debate with Horace via email.

"Ozark If I recall you lost several rounds with of debate with Horace via email."

And that was determined by what, the official Drudge Retort Debate commission staffed by volunteers from the League of Women Voters? Moron.

Horace and I didn't debate anything. Our "debate" was on a thread right here. He asked a lot of questions and I answered them.

The only email exchange we had was multiple solicitations to join the late PWZ, and I declined each and every one. But I did buy politicalwarzone dot com and spoofed those suckers under the handle of 5star general. LMAO

Null you sent several self destructs to members of this blog and blamed it on me. That might be the lowest thing I have seen done here.

"Null you sent several self destructs to members of this blog and blamed it on me. That might be the lowest thing I have seen done here."

I've never sent an email, self-destruct or otherwise, to any member of this blog, you liar. As usual, you are just trolling and trying to start fights.

whatever. you and I both know the truth. remember this though. Lies are swift but the truth has endurance. I will always have the truth on my side.

This line of bullshit is striking a memory.

How many American bodies would be lining the streets had we suffered a Gore or Kerry administration will never be known, but with Bush, we know that number is ZERO. And for that Bush deserves due credit. How people can complain that they are still alive is astonishing.

ZERO?

Hmmmmmm.....since you didn't mention which streets, let me help you remember.

3000 American 'bodies' under Bush (but since most were turned to dust, I guess you aren't counting them) in the streets of America.

4000 American 'bodies' under Bush as well in the streets of Iraq.

So, only 7000 dead Americans under Bush. Great Job!

Watch it CommonSense

Somebody'll come along and say there were 35,789 killed under Clinton.

Or something equally ludicrous.

"I would rather have 8 more years of Bush than 1 day of this knuckle dragging baffoon called Obama."

I will miss the self-retorting posts of the mental midgets who are his bootlickers.

Won't everyone miss his playfulness?

NO MATTER WHAT YOU LIBERAL ASSHOLES SAY, HE WAS HONEST AND MORALLY STRAIGHT. UNFORTUNATELY IF FLOP EARS IS ELECTED WE WILL GET A UNTRUSTWORTHY CHICAGO DIRTY POLITICIAN.

HE WAS HONEST AND MORALLY STRAIGHT
Hey Oswaldo,

Welcome back from your vacation.

You really should lay off the crack this early in the morning.

What will I miss....

Two words....

NUKULAR STRATEGERY.

I would rather have 8 more years of Bush than 1 day of this knuckle dragging baffoon called Obama."

Sam, the idiots do not go away....ever.

I just cannot wait until the seething and frothing when the liberal agenda gets passed.

Ozzie
"Honest and morally straight"???

You lie as badly as Palin!

Miss him? How can you miss something that hasn't been there?!

I say he should go back to his ranch in texas and look for the WMD's. Maybe that is where they are since our boys have never found them!!!

45Cal

I'll miss the excitement I feel when I mentally count down the days until the next President is inaugurated and Bush finally leaves the White House for good.

It's been a long 8 years, but it's almost over. We're in the home stretch, people.

I'll miss the conservatives bashing clinton did this and begin to wonder if they will us well bush did this.

I will miss the complete hypocrisy of those righty posters here and now will have them on the defensive actually having to support their answers with facts and data.

If George W Bush was "HONEST AND MORALLY STRAIGHT" no wonder people like OssieOswald here believe in God. And Fairies. And the Easter Bunny. And .....(add your own)

What will I miss about Bush?

The left bitching, cussing, pissing and moaning about anything and everything. Oh wait. They do that all the time anyway!

When he helped turn New Orleans into the world's largest public swimming pool and the Superdome into the worlds's largest pool house.

Thank you Brownie!

When he helped turn New Orleans into the world's largest public swimming pool

Bush created the hurricane and made the levies fail?

Here is some advice.....try focusing on what Bush had control over.....there are plenty out there if you try.

one thing we might miss

NO ATTACKS SINCE 9/11

and IF obama is elected and they get thier way of cutting defense spending by a quarter.

well that record might come to an end

YEAH YEAH>>..I know........I am just using scare tactics....but I learned from the best when I read FROM biden how mccain will take away social security from all the seniors in the country.....

"and IF obama is elected and they get thier way of cutting defense spending by a quarter."

But as you well know, Obama has not called for cutting defense spending, but rather for increasing the size of both the Army and the Marines. The only thing he has advocated cutting is waste.

then he better have a talk with barney frank who is saying this to anyone who gives a shit what he says.............

and I dont for one moment doubt him when he talks about it.....its what dems do when in office

I wish they would just read a little and see what has happened before

john adams was roundly attacked for wanting to build up the navy and people said that a war with france would be assured with that but THEY WERE WRONG then like they would be wrong here as well.........

peace through strength is a PROVEN IDEA and cutting like that doenst make you stronger.............

"then he better have a talk with barney frank who is saying this to anyone who gives a shit what he says............."

Frank is just one man, and neither Obama, nor most other Dem's on his committees agree with him.

From The Hill.com:

"Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), the chairman of the House Appropriations Defense subcommittee, is already warning against a dramatic reduction in defense spending at a time when the military is fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan and facing daunting bills to repair or replace war-torn equipment."

and...

"A House Armed Services Committee aide, meanwhile, said panel members 'would not consider a cut that sizable.' A 25 percent reduction would equate to a cut of around $150 billion in annual spending.

Democrats on the defense committees traditionally hold a more centrist view of military spending than do other members of their own caucus. Not only do they view themselves as protectors of the men and women in the armed forces, but many hail from districts in which defense companies are critical components of the local economy."

points taken but remember this

when you quote murtha you are talking about someone who is in the race of thier political life because he made comments about his own people as vile as you will read here so it seems logical that he wouldnt dare call for this right now

BUT GET HIM INTO a veto proof senate and house and when pelosi says jump all over it, his only question will be how high............

try focusing on what Bush had control over.....there are plenty out there if you try.

NO ATTACKS SINCE 9/11

#153 | Posted by bushlovertwo

Perhaps you can use the library computer and do some research. Maybe you would care to revise that comment.

no I wouldnt and I am in a college library right now so I am sure that results would be skewered anyway

so I guess you are taking the larry mohr approach to this issue and refusing to acknoledge THIS FACT and again............I am talking about american mainland, not embassies where security is also in the hands of coutries who dont like us

so dont go there

BLT, I'm just as worried as anyone else about national security and the possibility of another terrorist attack (I live in New York, for chrissakes). But I don't and have never seen the "we haven't been attacked since 9/11!" argument as a valid one. Technically, yes, it's true. But are we actually more secure? Can you provide tangible evidence that the Bush administration's policies have led to a direct increase in this nation's security?

I'm reminded of that episode of The Simpsons where Springfield creates a "Bear Patrol" to keep bears out of the city after one was found in the middle of a street. Homer concludes that the Bear Patrol must be doing its job, since no more bears were spotted. Lisa replies by showing him a rock and saying "This rock wards off tigers. You don't see any tigers around, so it must be working, right?"

So I say to you: this paper clip I am holding right now wards off terrorist attacks. It must be working! I'll be sure to hold onto it.

2002
June 14, Karachi, Pakistan: bomb explodes outside American consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing 12. Linked to al-Qaeda.

BTW Attacks upon US Embassies and US Consulates are to be taken as attacks upon the mainland because they are part of the mainland no matter where in the world that they are BLT So please do try yet again for You know not what You speak about as usual.

Larry

You really don't know jack shit do You BLT. The Security of US Embassies and US Consulates falls upon the US State Department as well as the United States Marine Corps. Do try again.

Larry

Larry I think he was referring to attacks on the continental US, not attacks on anything considered to be US soil. So while you're technically correct, so is he :)

That's actually not true Larry. While there are contingents of Marine guards at our embassies, the main task of security rests with the host country.

No He isn't because attacks upon US SOil no matter where they are are to be taken as an attack upon the Mainlanmd no matter where it is geographically. Oh and He shoots Himself in the foot because the anthrax attacks happened right after 9-11 and that happened on Your definition of the mainland not what is legal nor just.

No Sir that is incorrect. The Security of embassies and consulates is thje chief responsibility of the US State Department and subsequently the USMC but nice try

Larry

The Host Country can not step one foot inside of a US Embassy nor US Consulate unless asked to by the United States Government. Facts are facts and they don't chaqnge.

Larry

Larry - don't start getting all stubborn here. Yes, the Marines are the first line of defense for the embassy. But they cooperate with local authorities because no embassy has a large enough contingent to address a major assault. (Remember Tehran?)

attacks upon US SOil no matter where they are are to be taken as an attack upon the Mainlanmd no matter where it is geographically

You're nitpicking.

Yes I remember tehran it was hijacked by Iranians. Our security there was piss poor. That stil does not negate the fact that the United States and NOT the Host country is primarily responsible for the Security of emmbassies nor consulates. No matter how hard You try and say otherwise.

Larry

-You ASSHOLE Libs are going to ruin this country.

You musta missed you asshole Bushites ruining it first.

I'm not Trying to deflect Anything. You are correct When you Say that attacks On US Embassies are considered to Be attacks on the Mainland. But you Are missing the Forest for the Trees.

Larry - the Marines provide security inside the perimeter of the embassy. The host country is responsible for security outside that perimeter. Look it up.

LARRYMOHR: No data on the Clinton administration? As I stated, your a LIBERAL PHONEY!

LARRYMOHR: Lets see the data on the US main land.

" No data on the Clinton administration? "

How about this:

Clinton took large deficits from his predecessor, and delivered true surplus budgets to his successor. Dubya did the exact opposite.

Just to see how tethered you are to reality: which path do you believe is better?

Larry

Hey idiots, check history and you will find that Clinton, the cheat, was responsible for the escape of Bin Laden, he had him in sight several times and refused to capture him, thus 9/11.!!! You lefty libs are a sorry excuse for an American. Bush has been a great President and a great American, he has protected and kept your sorry behinds safe since 9/11, even among the cotroversies of the left radicals to call the Patriot Act unconstitutional and now is trying to accuse President Bush of jumping the gun on an investigation of 9/11. He and our troops have brought about a Democracy in the part of the world who hates us, in Iraq we now have an ally, thanks to President Bush.
You left radicals can't see the forest for the trees and you never will. Your hatred for a good, honest, decent man runs so deep, it's scarey and I pray the left will someday go down in history as an afterthought. People like you and your left friends deserve a man like Obama who will bring this country down to the pits of hell, and then you will see what a good man and President,Bush is,but it will be too late and the shame of it is others who want a great America will suffer also because of people like you who are so full of hate. I feel sorry for you, someday you will be made to see your life of failure because of your liberal ideologies.

FACT!

Nothing. Hate hair in my teeth. Ohh, not that kind of bush...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You insult the name, the talent and the memory of James Dean. Get lost.

Fact.

I thought James Dean was gone for good. I guess I was wrong.

Fact!

I will remember a president that I voted for two times, I will remember a people (Americans) so full of hate of a man that saw the twin towers fall to ground after the Muslim fanatics flew two planes into those towers and a President that was forced to watch his own people jump from 80 to 100 stories just to get away from the flames, a leap to their death, I will remember Saddam Hussein being hung by the neck by his own people for crimes against humanity which the liberals decry and did nothing to stop Hussein from killing 500k of his own people while slick willie was disgracing the office while he engaged in sinful behavior. I will remember a president that gave me protection for eight years and prosperity seven of those eight years. I will remmenber a truly good man. A man that can smile when he meets his God.

#188 | Posted by voltairefree

What's your teddy bear's name?

A man that can smile when he meets his God.

You think he always smiles when he meets Dick Cheney?

"...A President that was forced to watch his own people jump from 80 to 100 stories just to get away from the flames..."

I thought he was reading a book somewhere.

How about all those new Englishy words he came up with. And to the idiot who commented about New Orleans. No, Bush didn't have control over the hurricane, but he had total control over the federal response which he F'd up.

You Bush suckasses who think that he will be one day seen as a great president, are probably waiting for Nero to be recognized as a great emperor. Nixon will be remembered more fondly
a generation from now.

GWB is the GREATEST President thei contry has ever had!

FACTORAMA!

The reason Bush smiles when he meets God is because he thinks he sees him when he looks in the mirror.

stuff

#188 | Posted by voltairefree

How funny. I'll remember a President who vastly expanded the powers of the legislative branch of government, who implemented illegal wiretaps of private American citizens, who advocated the use of "enhanced interrogation techniques" in order to pry information out of suspected terrorists, and who established a prison where the US military could hold suspected terrorists indefinitely and without charge. A man who ordered the invasion of Iraq on shaky evidence that was later found to be completely false, and has caused the deaths of over four thousand American soldiers and untold thousands of Iraqi civilians. A man whose administration made a mockery of the Constitution. A man who is singlehandedly responsible for taking America's global image and pissing all over it.

If this is your idea of a great President, I'd hate to see what your idea of a bad one is.

You ASSHOLE Libs are going to ruin this country.

#168 | Posted by ozzieoswald

It'd be kinda hard to destroy a country that's already in shambles from 8 years of "Disaster Capitalism"....

#188 | Posted by voltairefree

How can you possibly type that and keep from being struck by lightning?

Ruin this country? Do you think these are the good old days? The vast majority of Americans have lost ground financially the last 8 years.
If you work for a living its likely that your wages have not kept pace with inflation.

We have witnessed the largest consolidation of wealth at the top since the 1920's. It always amazes me how people will freely vote against their own economic interests just because a guy like Rove points in the other direction and says,
"look there's something shiny".

Republicans have overplayed the fear and loathing card. You can't fool all the people all the time.
But don't worry. You will have plenty of chances to scare the crap out of the country in the future.

I'll miss watching George make Nancy draft the bills he'd sign and have her clean off the table when she's done.

I'll miss more Bin Ladin videos that will be discredited within hours thanks to the internet.

So Bushie did not underfund the levy improvement projects that the corp of engineers were begging for?

Good shot at revisionist history.

I guess he can take responsiblity for that. However the levy's have been weak since they were built 1000 years ago (exaggerated a bit)

Did he make New Orleans sink below sea level?

What I will miss is being able to say with a straight face "Hell, I'm smarter than the president!"

His redneck prenunskitation of "nuclear" into "new-cue-lurr."

I can rest with never hearing him butcher the language EVER again.

The writters for The Daily Show/Colbert (come on, you dont really believe they write their OWN material do you???) have got to be in full panic mode. I mean without Bush they got nothing. Hell they should send the man a thank you for all the EASY material.

PS: OLD Whiskey, either way this election goes I will STILL be able to say "Hell, I'M smarter than the President."

Dont get me wrong I'm NOT a Bush fan, quite the opposite. Just not a McCain or Obama fan either.

I'll miss the protection W provided our Country after 9/11.

WHAT Protection?? Wide Open borders and Cargo shipping containers that only 5% of them are inspected. SOME Protection there.

Larry

"I'll miss the protection W provided our Country after 9/11."

What about before???

Why does it escape you people that Bush was handed a report prior, that explained what was going to happen and he failed to put additional security measures at airports to prevent 911 in the first place????????

OMG it's so ridiculous to mention keeping us safe after 911, when 911 should still mean nothing more than a beautiful day in Sept to Americans!!!!

I'm going to miss the convenience that Bush and Cheney gave us.

For eight all-too-short years, everything coming out of the White House could be dismissed as incompetent, untruthful, arrogant, and quite probably unlawful. It was all so blissfully easy - I could focus on other things, secure in the knowledge that I would never be wrong about anything emanating from La Casa Blanca.

Now I'm going to have to listen, think and consider again. Damn.

WHAT Protection?? Wide Open borders and Cargo shipping containers that only 5% of them are inspected. SOME Protection there.

I didn't see you answer the question...I'll repeat it for you:

Why do you not include 911 under Bush's watch when he could have prevented it in the first place, instead...focusing only AFTER 911???

Hey, if it tickles you to deflect to a "before" arguement, god bless you. But I see no arguement proving that Bush hasn't protected us since 9/11. And I don't think you or Larry no exactly what the Federal Goverment did before, during or after as fact. Sorry. Maybe he just got lucky, eh?

Their world is crumbling right before their eyes and they don't know how to handle it Lisa. It's like being read the verdict of Your support for criminal activity and trying desperately to forget it (Ala Ted Stevens) It's commical isn't it??

Larry, do you think I'm voting for McCain? Fact is, we haven't been attacked since, and all your hate isn't going to change that fact. Sorry.

" But I see no arguement proving that Bush hasn't protected us since 9/11."

The question directed towards you was BEFORE 911...not after. Yet another avoidance to answer.

I don't blame you for not answering though. It's hard to admit that your rantings about after 911 are ridiculous considering 911 was a result of your boy not paying attention.

Carry on!

Negatory we have been attacked since. The ANthrax happened after 9-11 oh and many of our US Embassies and Consulates have been attacked and that is to be declared as happening on the mainland no matter how hard You and BLT try and deflect away from it.

Since the President is the Head of the Federal Government He holds ultimate responsibility. Therefore if one Federal Agency does wrong He has Done wrong. When a Federal AGency has done right He gets the praise. It's how it works.

From Your lips(Fingers) to God ears (EYES)

"January through September, 2001 - FAA issues 15 separate memos to the aviation industry warning of possible imminent hijackings of airliners inside the United States. Two of the warnings are directly linked to Osama Bin Laden as a suspect. Bush is informed of these warnings.

June 28, 2001 - CIA Director, George Tenet, warns National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice in a written report that it is highly likely that a significant al-Queda terrorist attack will take place in the near future in the U.S. Was Bush informed of this...seems everyone at the White House has amnesia about this. However, please remember this for later when Rice issues a statement on May 16th, 2002, 9 months after the 911 attack.

July 5, 2001 - In a White House security meeting, counterterroism officials warn the FBI, FAA, INS and others that a major attack on the United States is coming soon. Again, amnesia sinks in at the Bush White House.

June 26, 2001 - CIA espionage sources report a spike in intelligence traffic concerning possible attacks around July 4th. Bush is informed.

July 2, 2001 - FBI warns law-enforcement agencies of the possible al-Queda attacks overseas. Says domestic strikes cannot be ruled out. Bush is informed.

July 1, 2001 - Diane Feinstein, member of the Senate Intelligence Committee issues a press statement. "Intelligence staff tell me that there is a major probability of a terrorist incident within the next three months." Senator Feinstein pleads with the White House and Congress to put more money and resources into intelligence and counter terrorism measures to protect citizens. Her pleas are ignored.

July 5, 2001 - CIA tells Bush again that despite a non eventful July 4th, attacks during the summer are still possible. Bush is supposedly informed.

July 5, 2001 - Bush instructs Condoleezza Rice to find out what agencies are doing with al-Queda threat information. If she did...why isn't the information not getting to her or not being taken seriously? I believe some very pointed questions need to be asked by the Senate Inntelligence Committe to Ms. Rice."

Would you also like quotes from Richard Clarke?? I can get those for you as well as others....just let me know.

The only softening I felt toward Bush was Barney helping him drive the truck around the ranch. He likes his dogs and that was about the only redeeming quality I could find in him.

I would put the likelyhood of that at absolute zero, especially since many in congress (from both parties) should go to jail with him.

Bush liberated 50 million people. It wasn't easy and it cost us plenty with blood and treasure.

But 50 million people are free today from the tyranny and death they were under before Bush came to office.

Well, my brother makes over $300k a year shilling for some of these NWO folks over the years & certainly doesn't see it that way either:

"And having spent the last two years working pretty closely with Dr. Haas and the organization, I would tell you first hand they are about as open, thoughtful, intelligent and balanced a group as I've ever had the privilege of knowing. They look upon the "conspiracy" stories the way Dad and P&G looked at the "Satanist" stories that ignorant people perpetrated about the old "Moon & Stars" P&G logo. Ridiculous but nevertheless painful to keep reading about.

You got that right. Anyone knows that real tough guys don't advertise they don't have to. Their reputation does it for them. The ones who brag on the internet are jokes as far as I am concerned. Why would they feel the need to brag to nobodies?? I mean really.

Larry

I am legend.... someone has to be.

BUCKETHEAD

What will I miss about Bush?

I thought mirrors in bed were a female thing?

~Rex Luthor

That's just cos yer last girlfriend had one installed over yer bed that read...

"Warning: Objects in mirror may be smaller than they appear"

Be Well.

Hahahahah, you think your being funny Spud, but my ex talked this dude into giving us a giant mirror (we sold his house and workshop). It was a mirror about 7 x 4 feet and she had our crew put it into the ceiling.

Well, everything was fun and games until the big earthquake a few years ago...It fell and literally cut our bed in half..... If it had happened when we were there, we would have been killed....

Better to have the mirrors on the walls then on the ceiling.

Better to have the mirrors on the walls then on the ceiling.

Neato story.

Glad you kids weren't killed like that guy in the Omen.

There's this lady comedian who sez that the older she gets the less interesting sex is to her and the more interesting food is.

She took the mirror down from her bedroom ceiling and had it installed over her kitchen table.

Spud lol'd.

Be Well.

I was in the shower when it hit, nothing like seeing the house crack in half while you are taking a shower to make you aware of earthquakes.

Shinedown - Save Me

I'll miss the smirk. But not the naked megalomania leaking out from under the mask.

Hmmmm, let me think

First and foremost I'll miss the tight grip he had on the media and the investigative journalists who bent over and gave into him by not asking questions, not investigating, and not reporting on the many issues including:

The voting scandals of 2000 and 2004 elections and the rigged voting machines.

The supposedly suicide of the whistle blower who was going to expose the voting machines story.

At the very least the collapse of building 7 and the destruction of all the papers on Enron (not to mention many others) within the structure.

The fabricated and false evidence to justify attacking Iraq.

The million man march against the Iraq war in New York.

Creating new terms such as "Illegal Combatant" and "Insurgent" to bypass the Geneva Convention and the due process laws.

The partnership of the Bush and the Bin Laden family in the Carlyle Group which sells arms.

The involvement of the Dick Cheney controlled Halliburton in any all military and oil contracts in the two wars.

The torturing of the captured people.

The sick Abu Gharib scandal.

The sick Guantanamo Bay scandal.

The crash of the economy and the Wall Street due to his failed & faulty policies.

Fortunately or unfortunately this is all I remember at the moment but shame on you, yes you, the journalists that gave in, bent over, and shook with fear succumbing to his dictatorship. Most of these tragedies would not have happened if you had stood your ground and held him accountable for his crimes. It's too late now to stop any of these BUT now that he is getting weaker by the day the very least you can do is redeem yourselves by coming out and expose him and his administration like never before. Teach him and any of his future successors that this will never happen again. Impeach him.

The real question is will you now have the balls to do it?
