Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Barack Obama has pulled ahead in enough states to win the 270 electoral votes he needs to gain the White House, according to an Associated Press analysis. Obama now has several possible routes to victory, while McCain is scrambling to defend states where he shouldn't even have to campaign in the final days.

Why are all of you moron douches to stupid to figure this out?
They are all globalist, New World Order, Elitist.
And you morons argue about right, left, republican or Democrat.
Hello! They are all working together towards globalization.
It's like big time wrestling. They hate each other in front of the camera, and they are buddies in private.
It's sad to say, but you fucking idiots don't deserve a free society. You are to stupid to manage it.
You need a fascist controlled government to keep all of you retards in line.

Jeff, you may be right. Much evidence SEEMS to point in that direction.

But there is enough counter-evidence to suggest that Obama might work from the inside, quite brilliantly, to change that culture.

The corporate structures based upon pure greed over human needs are crumbling. We need someone smart enough and willing enough to tackle the problems that this coming world depression is going to foist upon us.

I believe the guy is mentally prepared for the toughest challenges.

Not an idealogue. Not a mindless booster of one way of looking at a problem.

At least give the man a chance.

I've put up a thread on the back page so anyone that want's can make predictions about the elections. Thought that might be a fun lil distraction for us here at DR.

Jeffndenmark, have you become Buffalo Bob, Takitez, Nanc all rolled into one tidy package?

Thank you for your remarks, please go piss up a rope.

I'll still feel better after the election when they can't steal it. It's going to be a long 5 days.

God your stupid.

er - God your stupid Danni.

"your stupid "

And in clocks El Cid, with his morning self-retorting retort.

Ok Beefalo Boob, please just let me say..

If the conspiracy theory fits - wear it.

B Bob and Jeff are two reasons I visit Drudge, and I have a lot of respect for them.

Many Drudgies are so deeply mired in the Cult Called America that they truly believe their thoughts are their own.

I came here to read some commments about the polls, and find the main bloggers are conspiracy nuts backed up by conspiracy nut admirers..

And Danni.. (not a conspiracy nut I don't think.. just a left winger) WHEN did Republicans steal an election?

Every anecdote I know about is about Dems.. The Chicago Machine, LBJ in Texas, Edward Machine in Lousiana, etc..

I'm assuming you'd be referring to Gore in Florida.. but all of those issues were in DEMOCRAT controlled districts.. sort of hard to make that case don't you think?

I guess that means I don't have to vote on the 4th.

"And Danni.. (not a conspiracy nut I don't think.. just a left winger) WHEN did Republicans steal an election?"

I realize that as a rightie you are bound by oath not to ever consider the election fraud evidence in Florida in 2000 or Ohio in 2004 but those of us not bound by right wing limitations have read considerably and it is pretty obvious both elections were stolen. I don't want to argue it because it is past history but I could give you more evidence on those two elections than you could actually provide on the old myth about Chicago when JFK beat Nixon.

But there is enough counter-evidence to suggest that Obama might work from the inside, quite brilliantly, to change that culture.

If you want to live in the socalist republic of America vote for ears. He will spread your wealth to all of his socalist buddies.

Is that the change you want?

NMG NOT: So those elections you mention that the dems stole weren't conspired, they just sort of happened that way?

Be careful when you throw up your cake so you can have it too; it gets kinda messy.

"If you want to live in the socalist republic of America"

Have you been paying attention at all? Bush delivered socialism to us on a platter via his multi-trillion dollar bailout. Taxes will have to go up to pay for the Wall Street Welfare Queens. You know, the ones who believe capitalism is great, until they lose money and want socialism. Lucky for them they had Bush in charge, but don't start feigning ignorance now. We got socialism the minute Bush careened the ship of state off the cliff.

If you had asked a while ago I would have said BHO....now?...I am not so sure.

Snipper: I happen to think "Socialism" isn't a hot-button catch word that warrants a knee-jerk emotional reaction every time it's brought up.

Nor "Hussein".

Nor "College Law Professor"

Nor "Muslim"

BTW, did you support the 750 billion gift to the bankers? Cause I didn't. Still don't.

WAY too soon to be making this kind of prediction.

Have you been paying attention at all? Bush delivered socialism to us on a platter via his multi-trillion dollar bailout.

Who wrote that bill and who passed it?

You are right, Bush is too socalist for me so you think the answer is to vote for someone that is more of a socalist? What kind of logic is that? Pull your head out of your hip pocket and take a good look at what you are voting for.

Here's the Cult of America at work:

If the wealthiest ask for our tax money, it's justified, because they're smart and therefore to be believed.

If the neediest are given money, it must be socialism, because they're lazy, and don't deserve it.

You call yourselves Americans?

You are brainwashed members of a Cult you don't even believe exists.

"Who wrote that bill and who passed it?"

Bush drove the car over the cliff.

"The bailout" was just whether or not to engage the air bags.

just keep on pickin out those curtains and countin those chickens

How cute.

So I take it you are voting for Bob Barr.

It would seem that the word "socialism" is losing its power. That's what happens when you over use an accusation, people start thinking....so???

a pure socialist government = sux
a pure capitalist government = sux

YOU NEEED a mix of both

Yes. Yes. Yes, Danni.

And it's about time.

The next word that needs a little air let out of it is the "I" word.......

......Israel.

Time to examine the issues without bringing Jesus into the discussion.

(But that's another thread.)

sagmain

according to palin/mccain

you can't question israel.
if you do then your anti american

Bush was at the wheel but it started for the cliff during Carter. JB Willie even admitted he help push it over when he was in office.

The bail-out was a big money give away to the crooks. Who wrote the bill for the bail-out? Does anyone know the answer?

I've noticed.

Though even noticing is Un American.

Can't blame this on Carter You got that Pal. We had it made in the shade under Clinton no This is on Dubya and I bet You supported him so it's on You too. Face the music.

Larry

and yet he wants MORE of your money!

and barry shows me that we should really look at history

in the beginning of the john adams administration, there was a war fuming with france and he said something very interesting.....

as french ships attacked american shipping interests, he called for a fresh attempt at negoisations ALONG with a buildup of american strength

ah yes.........."PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH"//

I never realalized that adams and reagan had so much in common and even in 1798........people who couldnt see that were wrong then and they are wrong now...........like kerry and kennedy and obama who are of the same pussy stripe when it comes to world affairs.......

my point is that obama is in the same column as the OTHER LIBERALS who have been wrong on this issue time and time again

and my other point.

DONT EVER tell me that I dont read and try to improve and learn and THATS why I am a conservative.

NOW AGAIN

anyone have a suggestion on a good book on george washington??????

" it started for the cliff during Carter. JB Willie even admitted he help push it over when he was in office."

The Republicans had 6 years of full control in-between, with 8 years in the White House and the Congress for about 11 of the last 14 years. They could have changed direction and become the party of regulation whenever they wanted.

Any responsibility on the horizon from The Party Of Responsibility?

ALSO heard just a few moments ago

anita moncrief who is AN OBAMA SUPPORTER and an ex official of acorn
she told laura ingrahm of MASSIVE FRAUD at acorn..........and I repeat........she says that she STILL SUPPORTS obama but has been removed from acron.....GEE I wonder why.......

Why then, does Obama advocate INCREASING the size of our military capability?

From PolitiFact.com

We consulted Obama's proposals on defense that are detailed on his campaign Web site. "Barack Obama supports plans to increase the size of the Army by 65,000 soldiers and the Marines by 27,000 troops," says the plan. "Increasing our end strength will help units retrain and re-equip properly between deployments and decrease the strain on military families."

The policy also discusses building up "special operations forces, civil affairs, information operations, and other units and capabilities that remain in chronic short supply."

BLT: "Founding Father" by Richard Brookhiser, an editor with The National Review.

But still a damn good book, nonetheless:^)

So I take it you are voting for Bob Barr

With so much talk about socialism and redistribution of wealth, you'd think the Libertarians were going to pull in a good 30 - 40% of the vote. As far as I know, McCain has absolutely no intention of radically altering the tax structure, nor dissolving any major social programs. If he did, you'd think his campaign would have mentioned it at some point.

His plan to give health insurance tax credits is just another form of wealth distribution. Any government taxing and spending is.

The only truly "fair" tax, would be one that we all pay the same dollar amount (not percentage) in taxes regardless of income. Outside of local taxes, I can't imagine anyone pushing too hard for this. This would be the only way to render the whole "the upper 10% of income earners pay 80% of all taxes" argument moot.

and one more way to impress the hell out of you on my reading

I was amazed at how bitter even the first REAL presidential campaign was with adams and then when he ran against his one time friend jefferson...

campaigns havnt changed all that much have they??????????????

did I say THAT was the last adams reference

what a smart fellow............he even predicted or was worried of a split between the north and the south...........

#38 | Posted by Danforth

I guess that makes it all their fault.

Wake up... It wasn't regulation that was the problem. It was the policy that everyone should own a house.

There is no way you will convince me that banks made loans to people that could never pay them back without great pressure from the government. And without some assurance they would get paid for their effort.

NMG NO,

{Florida's} "DEMOCRAT controlled districts"

where do you get your facts man????

2000: Jeb Bush and Kathleen Harris were running the State and both sitting on the Republican committee to elect the Shrub, caging lists, lost 17,000 ballots in one Democratic leaning district, O'Connell and Diebold conspiracy to change machine results, then Baker organized a stop the recount airplane attack, then Harris declared a result in favor of Shrub while Republican's charged into the recount headquarters disrupting the process entirely, finally the SCOTUS traitors stopped the whole thing. Exit polls said Gore won, but Warren Christopher worried about Democrats rioting even as a Republican riot was in full swing.

In Ohio 2004: Republican Secretary of State, caging lists, machine shortages in poor districts leading to 8 hour lines, if you have a kid you have to pick up after school you'll never vote that day, O'Connell and Diebold conspiracy to change machine results.

John Adams. What a bore.

Did you notice how often he took to meandering across snowy fields always bitching to Abigail about affairs of state?

"wonder what he (John Adams) would think of todays media doing everything they can to STEAL A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION??????"

Excuse me? I'm not sure just how The BLT On Wry thinks the media can do that, but as a Bush lover, i.e. the guy who endorses the guy who blatantly stole his way into office in 2000 and 2004. Bush is/was the poster boy for the party that methodically steals elections. herm

"ah SWEETY...another good try at rewriting history.."

"In order to cover new federal budget deficits, the United States borrowed heavily both domestically and abroad, raising the national debt from $700 billion to $3 trillion,[18] and the United States moved from being the world's largest international creditor to the world's largest debtor nation.[19] Reagan described the new debt as the "greatest disappointment" of his presidency.[18]"

I thought you libs here were the smartet sumbitches in the universe....so why dont more of you KNOW THAT FACT>.............

"It wasn't regulation that was the problem. It was the policy that everyone should own a house."

The root of the problem was leveraging bad paper on bad paper. Some of the banks were leveraged 30:1, where the ONE is the mortgage, so that's not the main problem. The problems were the lack of regulation, the bets on the bets, the neutering of the regulators, and the government's mantra keep all your profits, give us your losses.

John Adams. What a bore.

Did you notice how often he took to meandering across snowy fields always bitching to Abigail about affairs of state?

#58 | Posted by sagmain at 2008

I noticed that several of HIS oppenents were more firghtened of her than him..

and here is another telling example of liberal hypocracy discovered while expanding my historical horizons.

libs have changed our whole value system with one little letter from jefferson and YET they ignore this comment from him in his "kentucky resolutions"

"each state has a natural right to nullify federal actions it deemed unconstitutional."

but holy shit...........we cant go against that when its a liberal agenda...abortion, gay marriage etc...

BLT I notice you ignore my post documenting the debt left behind by Ronnie Raygun.
That's how Republicans operate, they believe the myth even when contradicted by facts....because it makes them feel good. Soon BLT will be remembering Dubya as a great statesman, economist, military strategist, even orator.

A buddy of mine is a commercial lender.

The bank he works for stayed away from these bad loans.

Now, his competitors are desperate for capital so they are forcing their best customers out of their loans - the ones they feel have the ability to pay.

So, he has the cream of the borrowing crop begging him to lend them money.

His company goal for the year was for him to write $11 million. He currently has $20 million in various stages right now. He's one of the few who has benefitted from this disaster.

"There is no way you will convince me that banks made loans to people that could never pay them back without great pressure from the government. "

You never heard of up-front fees?

"THREE news agencies actually counted the voted that gore wanted counted and they ALL THREE came up with the same count with BUSH WINNING..."

BLT's wry grows stale, but if he really wants to rehash Florida 2000: all polls nmed Gore as winner. News services went on the basis of polls that mathematically had one chance in a million of being wrong. But then Jeb, Katherine, the voting machines, the disenfranchisement, the chads, the Jews For Buchanan and the SCOTUS went to work. Lord, how much better the last eight years might have been. herm

All you IDIOTS who still support Ronnie Raygun and Dumbya Bush, do you support "trickle down Economics"?

If that isn't sharing the wealth I don't know what is. (let the rich have it and they will let it trickle down to the poor). What did it give us?? TWO RECESSIONS!!! The early 90's and now! (Gee you people are cognitively impaired, remember "VOODOO ECONOMICS?" And to know who hurt the US economy the worst, look no further than good old Tricky Dick Nixon, he eliminated the fixed gold price in 1971, causing the system to break down.

from USA Today:
WASHINGTON Dan Cooper, a proud member of the National Rifle Association, has backed Republicans for most of his life. He's the chief executive of Cooper Arms, a small Montana company that makes hunting rifles.

This year, Cooper has given $3,300 to the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama. That's on top of the $1,000 check he wrote to Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2004, after he was dazzled by Obama's speech at that year's Democratic National Convention.

Cooper is a player in one of the little-told dramas of the 2008 presidential campaign: how Obama has been able to out-raise Republican John McCain among swaths of the business community, outperforming previous Democratic presidential nominees in drawing business support.

This year, Cooper has given $3,300 to the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama.

every electoral poll has Obama above 270 including Rassmussen and fivethirtyeight, that's without Ohio & Florida! Over 30.1 million viewers watched Obama's ad, and he drew over 65,000 in FL with 2 rallys after that ad(McCain drew 5000). Will McCain hold a retirement party?

Bush was behind 11 pts in the 2004 election and look what happened there.

If Obama really thought he had it in the bag he would be kicking back at home playing softball with daughters and further planning the destruction of the United States with his radical friends like Ayers.

If McLoser throws a retirement party-he won't be able to have schoolkids bussed in to make it look like there are more there than actually show up....

I hope Obama makes Ayres Secretary of Defense. I would trust Ayres more than someone with your mental apparatus.

Buffalo Bob,

I figured that a liberal Democrat like yourself would trust a terrorist like Ayers to be Secretary of Defense. But hey, I bet that if Obama becomes POTUS, Ayers probably will be Secretary of Defense that is the oh so sad truth.

Lets see how after the election things work out.You libtards will lose. Polls mean nothing. Repubs, and independents and other informed voters dont answer pollsters.Libruls love to talk to pollsters after all the pollsters are nobama koolaid drinkers, birds of a feather.

The LA Times story on the suppressed Obama/Khalidi tape is getting interesting. They now say that releasing the tape would put their source in jeopardy.

They said the public had a compelling interest so their excuses about "agreements" don't wash. The Ryans' both wanted the divorce records kept closed, but the Times said otherwise.

Maybe Obama is the source of that will be put in jeopardy.

ANAMERICAN would you try to address the large sums of money a McCain headed organization gave to Khalidi? Something that doesn't smack of Hippopotimus or does this not interest you? That McCain supported this evil man, common on give it a shot.

I understand that, Onna. Now I want to see a tape that may show the full scope of Obama's friendship/involvement or lack thereof with the man. Is that too much to ask?

"Is that too much to ask?"
That doesn't mean squat, you can read that 6 month article if you wish, still don't mean squat. It contains all that was said. Again this 6 month old article don't mean squat. Only right whiners that are afraid to lose this election care about that tape. This won't change a single vote. Get used to "President Obama". Years ago I attended a wedding in a Chicago suburb and pictures were taken. Sitting just in front of me were 2 brothers, one was Ted Kaczynski, that too doesn't mean squat. I am not a bomber, though you would probably think so if you saw those pictures. Give it up, this talking point is going nowhere just like the Ayres talking point. (in polls, the Ayres one actual hurt the McCain campaign)
Just vote for McCain, OK!

Now I want to see a tape that may show the full scope of Obama's friendship/involvement or lack thereof with the man. Is that too much to ask?

I've emphasized the key work in your sentence for you. Perhaps you should go back and take a look at who has attempted to use the tape to agitate the campaign. There are probably literally hundreds of unviewed tapes of both candidates in existence. This tape has only become important because it's an easy distraction from the problems of the McCain campaign. Whoever provided the tape to the paper did so under the condition that the tape remains unreleased.

If the paper were to release the tape they would never be able to do any serious investigative reporting again. No one would EVER be willing to provide this paper with confidential information again. Should the paper release information they may have about Obama ANYTIME the National Review wants to stir things up? Should news organizations release anything requested about McCain anytime Democratic Underground asks?

It's all a giant distraction. You may already know that, but if you're going to continue to sensationalize the issue, everyone else should also be aware of it.

Don't look at that! Look over here at the SHINY THING! That's what it's all about.

AP Calls it for Obama?

Woo Hoo!

Obama FTW!

Ya know wot McCain supporters kinda remind Spud of at this point?

Ya ever meet a die hard fan of a lame sports team that can't quite wrap their head around the fact that their team is not gonna make the post season?

"Well", they say, "if we win every single game till the end and those guys lose to those guys and those other guys lose to those other guys and an earthquake makes the ground open up and swallow that team whole, ...my team might still WIN!"

Pathos is occasionally comical.

McCain fans are pathetic as hell.

LOL!

G08ama!

Be Well.

Colbert (Colbert Report) says if McCain wants to prove he's a maverick, he should endorse Obama for president, that would do it!

Obama explains this diversion technique on Page 54 of "Dreams From My Father":

"IN 1983, I DECIDED to become a community organizer.

There wasn't much detail to the idea; I didn't know anyone making a living that way. When classmates in college asked me just what it was that a community organizer did, I couldn't answer them directly. Instead, I'd pronounce on the need for change. Change in the White House, where Reagan and his minions were carrying on their dirty deeds. Change in the Congress, compliant and corrupt. Change in the mood of the country, manic and self-absorbed. Change won't come from the top, I would say. Change will come from a mobilized grass roots.

That's what I'll do, I'll organize black folks. At the grass roots. For change."

There you have it. Enjoy your change....you saw how well it worked when he tried it in Chicago.

"Go into any inner city neighborhood, and folks will tell you that government alone can't teach our kids to learn - they know that parents have to parent, that children can't achieve unless we raise their expectations and turn off the television sets and eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white."

- Barack Obama (from the same book someone sliced and diced for you, AnAmerican)

"That's what I'll do, I'll organize black folks. At the grass roots. For change."

And in many states those folks are going to the polls in record numbers and definitely helping to defeat Republicans and bring about real change.
So, it looks as though Barack's community organizing is not becoming his nation organizing.
The poor and the working class are realizing that our interests are more similar to each other than they are with the wealthy. That was how Reagan and subsequent Republicans have won, they were somehow able to convince people making $10.00 per hour that tax cuts for the wealthy would benefit them. Finally, they are realizing that not only did it not help them but that those who got those big tax cuts invested that extra money in other countries where they pay a fraction of American wages. I think American workers are about fed up and will vote for Change.

I agree wholeheartedly with the statement you quoted from his book. Good for him.

But it still doesn't negate the statement I quoted and the lack of results from his earlier organizational efforts for change in Chicago.

Remember Michelle Obama's talk when she urged people to turn away from wealth in favor of serving the common good, like a good proletarian?

Now, it's interesting that this same principle is not for her and Barack, mind you, with their annual salaries and their lifestyle, but that's what you all should aspire to, something lower or lower-middle class where you're dependent on the elite, oh-so-well-educated people like themselves for everything you need.

Ayers? Cooper? Wright? Hey folks, iwith full disclosure I gotta admit (again) that I sat at an Oakland bar with Ronald Reagan in 1958. I suppose THAT makes me a bonniefied mossback, is why the McC people have sent me all the postage-paid envelopes I've been stuffing with Obama material and sending back. herm

Hey folks, iwith full disclosure I gotta admit (again) that I sat at an Oakland bar with Ronald Reagan in 1958.

To bad nothing from him rubbed off on you HERM. To think, the real human being you could have been.

I've been stuffing with Obama material and sending back. - Not throwing molotov cocktails at them? wow how humane of you.

Yeah, Herm. Whatta ya thinkin'?

If Reagan had rubbed off on ya, ya coulda prolly gotten a couple of hundred unarmed US soldiers killed by now.

Ya coulda traded arms for hostages and armed Colombian terrorists.

The least ya coulda done is come up with a Marxist Earned Income Tax Credit.

What 'cha been doin' all this time?

"To bad nothing from him rubbed off on you..."

Too, Cidney. ( Sigh!) It took a while to develop, but I finally show signs of the senility Ronnie showed then. You and he would have made a real pair. (Of deuces.) Billy, you run this Molotov cocktail thing into the ground, but my guess is that YOUR side will find something to riot about next week. herm

Billy, you run this Molotov cocktail thing into the ground - HERM

Yeah well, since you refuse to look in the abyss that is your bathroom mirror I just want to keep reminding you of that dark emptiness you call - er don't call - a soul. Keep leading the babies to death HERM! If they don't go willingly, you can always be 'out there with em' throwing molotov cocktails. Nothing but luv for you HERM*

*I was voted the most humane individual in HELL

McCain still can win the race but it will be difficult. Obama maybe winning in some red states but he is still polling under 50% or just over in most so he hasn't closed the deal yet. I don't know who does polling in Penn for Republicans but I swear they think that state can be won ever election and they lose by a decent margin each time.

Side note: It is good to see that people in Red States are willing to vote for Democrats when Republicans fail them. I wonder if the situation was reversed, if Blue States would ever vote for a Republican. We might find out in 2 or 4 years if Obama/Democrats don't produce.

Michelle O said it was WAY too soon for Obama to run for President.

I wonder if the situation was reversed, if Blue States would ever vote for a Republican. We might find out in 2 or 4 years if Obama/Democrats don't produce.

When do you think history began? 2004? You know you are on a computer, right? Do you understand the concept of Google?

Check 1988, 1984, 1980

I am as convinced as any rational person that Obama is in. But most rational people I see as this week nears and end are scared shitless that the uglies will still find a way to steal it. They have a record of doing such things. Now if it becomes crystal clear Tuesday night that they've done it one MORE time, what are some rational courses of action? herm

I think Obama is confident his policies will work, but it is not confidence it is arrogence, even Biden see's this.

Obama is the next George W. Bush.

On this site FTW stands for Fur tha wecord.
