MMmmmm......Bush played Shemp.

McCain Warns Against Democratic Takeover

He should have thought of that before he voted with Bush 90% of the time.

Oh my god!!! The Pubs had this setup for the first 6 years of the W era so why are they whinning now. Because there ship is going down and they need to cry about something for the last 8 days before Nov 4th when Obama will win the Presidency and and a Democratic Congress will be looking out for the middle class. By the way Joe the Plumber you are a member of the middle class you idiot.

Bush is god dam drunk.

The Republicans strongest argument against an Obama victory is that it will give the Democrats the same amount of power that the Republicans gained in 2000. The disaster they created is now their best reason not to vote for Obama.

sadly, all Mccadaver and the GOPpers are offering is 4 years of blind hatred for Obama and a commitment to sink the country any way they can. Even Mccadaver is on record admitting how badly he and his own Party screwed America, but all he can offer is 92% of four more of the same.

I didn't realize there was any other office up for grabs. All we hear about is president.

Congress has as much to do with the direction of the US as the president yet we let them get away with everything. We hold them responsible for nothing.

Mr. McCain would have been taken more serious if he had warned the Country what would have happened as the Republicans took office in 2000, with them having the Presidency an the Congress, WHERE WAS THE WARNING IN 2000 JOHN!!!!!! YOU FUCKING HYPROCRIT!!!!!

Phony.
Everyone with the slightest amount of critical thinking skills know it's a one-party system being presented as a two-party choice.

Laughable if it weren't so devious.

Sniper: where was your handwringing from 2001-2006?

"Everyone with the slightest amount of critical thinking skills know it's a one-party system being presented as a two-party choice."

Riiight!! That's why the Rethugs are so busy trying to steal this election and prevent the investigation of the past 8 years. That's why they call Obama a socialist.
Pretending the parties are the same is just a Republican talking point to spread the blame for their years of rule.
Fortunately America ain't buying that nonsense.

The latest ads from the GOPher camps are petty much an admission that they know they've lost.

"Don't give the Dems a blank Cheque"!!

Now they are just trying to prevent a bloodbath.

Too bad. So sad.

Here's the thing.

Dumbya got a blank cheque in 2000 and totally went to town on it. Making the rich much richer and everybody else poorer in the process.

Now the Dems need a blank cheque in order to clean up after those assholes.

In order to start real investigations of the excesses of the proto-fascist BushCo regime that they have been ignored and stalled to date.

In order to break out of the traditional gridlock that has become the status quo in DC.

In order to get anything meaningful done.

Pelosi and Reid have failed utterly in their role as oposition to Bush and need to be replaced by people who actually want to do their job properly.

Be Well.

Republicans now whining about one party rule need to remember the K Street Project, etc. and get ready for pay back bitches.

get ready for pay back bitches.

Danni proving she doesn't give a shit about this country.....only her rage and hate.

"He should have thought of that before he voted with Bush 90% of the time."

Except that it's 88.1 but still that means he must be a partisan hack right?

Then you have obama 96 percent with his party and biden 97.7. So who are the puppets?

"he Republicans strongest argument against an Obama victory is that it will give the Democrats the same amount of power that the Republicans gained in 2000"

No our strongest argument is that he is unqualified,he is a bigot, a sexist and a racist( as per his statement on his criteria for the Supreme Court). He is against our constitutional rights he is against personal accomplishment, he believe only in state mandated indoctrination. He is a tool, a puppet, a parrot i wouldn't go as far as to say he is an idiot but he certainly us not top shelf when it comes to intellect. He is a bribe taker, a bribe giver, as corrupt as they come standard bureaucrat who in more interested on his own fame then the well being of this nation. He is a liar, a manipulator and shows only the utmost disgust for the poor. HE is a empty suit, a closet socialist and like all the other socialist dictators wants to take the peoples right and ability to defend them selfs away on top of that he has shown disgusting dislike for our military. His economic policies are plagiarized rehashed tried and failed ideas from long ago. Thats just the tip of the iceberg on obama, not even starting on biden but as long as he is not bush there are still the hate filled lemmings that will voter for him, coupled with his attempt to purchase America with his over half a billion dollars and he will probably buy this election. It will be a sad sad day for this country, this people and this planet.

"Fortunately America ain't buying that nonsense"

No, instead obama is buying America.

SALAMANDAGATOR sounds as if his head will actually be exploding if Obama isn't robbed of the election.

"It will be a sad sad day for this country, this people and this planet."

Must be why billions around the world are rooting for Obama.

As much as I dislike John McCain I really think he's right here. Not the part about electing him, just the part about worrying about a Democratic majority. The pendulum has been sitting far to the right for 6 of the last 8 years (you could probably argue it's still been there for the past 2 with the do nothing Dems). Having it swing from far right to far left is not going to fix things (I doubt much could honestly).

For a democratic system to work there needs to be dissent, there needs to be opposing views that actually will be heard. The Congress already completely ignores the will of the people most of the time. Combine that with the power to pass just about anything without fear of failure is dangerous to say the least. Balance is being completely overlooked here.

Congress has as much to do with the direction of the US as the president yet we let them get away with everything. We hold them responsible for nothing.

Sure we hold them responsible.

We started kicking out the GOP bums in 2006, and we will be kicking out a lot more of the GP bums this election.

Not holding them responsible?????

What fucking show have you been watching?

Holding these people responsible is exactly why McCain and the rest of his Party are in this position and crying about it.

More desperation from the McCain camp.

That is all they have left after the failure of a campaign he has run. I wouldn't let John McCain run my little league baseball team after the fuck up his campaign has been.

It will be a sad sad day for this country, this people and this planet.

Hell. We're throwing a party up here when you kick those assholes out of the WH and replace them with Obama. The planet will be a better place when the warmongering republicans go to the penalty box and are replace with leaders that can actually think before acting.

This country is strong enough to handle either party in power for a while. Being that they're politicians who aren't know for keeping many of their campaign promises, the right need not totally freak out.

The next few years will put a huge responsibility on the Democratic party. Having this much power, the public will blame anything that goes wrong on them rightly or wrongly. The Republican party is being forced to clean house. In a few years they will regroup and we'll probably have a division of power between the parties. And so, history marches on.

america needs radicalism, we are dying by the so called centrist policies, we have rampant spending with rampant tax cuts, the worst of both worlds.

we need a REVOLUTION.

you read it here first.

we need a REVOLUTION.

you read it here first.

I think the Beatles beat you to it........just barely......

You really think obama is going to take care of the middle class? Far from it. We're all going to be taking care of the lower class.

Well, thanks to Bush, Paulsen, et.al, we're ALL lower class now.

He's shifting from running for President to shoring up the Republicans left in congress. Good luck with that, Grampy.

Oh hell, Obama will see to it that 'RePo' (Reid Pelosi) does not have free rein. Right? Well, maybe? Oh forget it, we're screwed!

"we need a REVOLUTION."

Or....a return to the tax policies pre-Reagan.
Hey, it would be a tax increase but it would be preferable to a revolution.

*** "Are you ready for Obama, Pelosi and Reid?"***

......we got through Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, McConnel, Brown ( Great job Brownie ), Gonzalez, Miers, and GOP fuck-ups of every kind.....

...... if we could live with that trash......we can somehow manage with Obama and the spineless, shitfaced Pelosi and the bumbling Reid........

"The planet will be a better place when the warmongering republicans go to the penalty box and are replace with leaders that can actually think before acting."

You mean like Pelosi and Reid? Ha Ha very funny.

"SALAMANDAGATOR sounds as if his head will actually be exploding if Obama isn't robbed of the election."

Obama robbed?

You mean if America fails to prove itself to be as dumb as obama says they are?

But i guess robbed might be the correct word considering how much he has paid for it.

"we need a REVOLUTION."

Obama is trying to remove all possibility of that with his extreme anti-gun views.

After all

"Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't let our people have guns. Why should we let them have ideas?" -
-- Joseph Stalin

Or

"We don't let them have ideas. Why would we let them have guns?"
Also stalin

Or
Vladimir Lenin said, "One man with a gun can control 100 without one."

Or

Mao Zedong said, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

Or
Adolf Hitler said: "The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so."

Mr obama fits in there nicely, add to that his desire to indoctrinate our children and you loose all possibility for change in our government.

Now I really am starting to believe Obama will win in a landslide even with the Republican attempts to suppress the vote....the posts of righties like Salamandagator have gone full blown crazy.
They've tried everything else...now they just call him a Commie. What's next???....Barack Obama is............................
..............................
..............................
..............................
..............................
.......Satan.

the Anti Christ is more like it! and, you're an idiot to follow him

Any bets on if McCain will die or not before the end of Obama's first term?

There has to be odds out there.....

it'd be a shame to lose a sitting president .. the only good is that we'd get a Washington outsider from Alaska to replace him.

we'd get a Washington outsider from Alaska to replace him.

Normally I would consider this a legit arguement. One party rule is dangerous. And the DNC has proven to be highly incompetent over recent years. But since the GOP for the last eight years seems intent of running this country into the shitter, I can't say I want them to have any kind of say in how things are run. They need to prove they can be trusted in small doses first.

This situation is a perfect example of why we need more than two viable parties in this country. One party rule is a very bad thing. The GOP is borderline traiterous at this point. And we have nobody else to step in and help out because we're too fucking lazy to be bothered. We have our two parties with their pre-packaged platforms and damned if we want to pay attention to any new ideas.

"the only good is that we'd get a Washington outsider from Alaska to replace him."

...that even many members of her own party say is totally unqualified.

Sully, your thesis fails to recognize that both the House & Senate are controlled by not only liberal dems, but ultra, San Francisco-style liberals. All we have is an inarticulate baffoon in the WH. Your failure to call a spade a spade results in zero credibility. Your choice for remedying this distortion by voting for barry obama, results in the same ... zero. Get a life and get outta politics while you're still behind.

Kill yourself and save any further embarassment of living life as a braying jackass.

Please don't. I find the jacksass in you provides loads of entertainment.

Ever try shooting an Uzi?

I gotta give you a "Newsworthy" on that one, Sully.

"They've tried everything else...now they just call him a Commie. "

I did not call him a commie i just pointed out one of the many similarities between him and some of the most atrocious leaders the world has ever known. The fact that you jumped in and denounced words i never said leads me to this conclusion, you know it to be true but are to ashamed to admit it and too filled with hate at the idea of free thought that you can't give up your support of him. In other words, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks. "

OH MY GAWD! HE'S GONNA TAKE OUR GUNS!

BOO!

"OH MY GAWD! HE'S GONNA TAKE OUR GUNS!"

Well yes, but the point was his subversion of Americans right to free thought and real change. His rabid anti-gun attitude is just one example of his attempts to deny the people constitutional rights. You can wright it off as some pro-gun rant but he facts remain the same, he has spoken out many time with remarks proving his utter disregard for the people, the laws, and the constitution and yes, that scares me a little.

Well yes,

#48 | Posted by salamandagator

Tell you what. I'm still likely to be posting here in 2012. If Obama wins, and you have lost your ability to purchase and own most guns, just send me an e-mail. I will be happy to deliver one of what will be several of my illegal guns.

The right has been saying "the left is gonna take our guns" for almost my entire life. My gun safe is still full. Funny that!

BOO!

I don't like the idea of having both parties in charge but those are the cards this corrupt republican party and their supporters gave us.

I find it so interesting that there is a group of young who have know idea of how it should be and are hard right republicans. They don't seem to have a grasp of just how dire our country is in.

The disaster they created is now their best reason not to vote for Obama.

The self-retorting retort.

If single party rule was such a disaster before, why is it a dream world now?

Must be why billions around the world are rooting for Obama.

Danni is now getting her TALKING POINTS from the Germans, Canadians and Russians. They know best how American should be run.

An Osama presidency will mean appeasement of our enemies, more state interference in business, more government interference in education and health care.

In short: Carter II.

But a disaster like that gave us Reagan, the greatest president since Teddy Roosevelt.

Reagan, the greatest president since Teddy Roosevelt

Bwa hah hah hah hah hah hah!

His idea of getting a hold of the right end of the stick is to snatch it from the hands of someone who is using it effectively and to hit them over the head with it.

~George Bernard Shaw on Teddy Roosevelt

Heckler: I'm a Democrat
Theodore Roosevelt: May I ask the gentleman why he is a Democrat?
Heckler: My grandfather was a Democrat; my father was a Democrat; and I am a Democrat.
TR: My friend, if your grandfather had been a jackass and your father had been a jackass what would you be?
Heckler: (instantly) A Republican.

Reagan was a murderous swine and TR was a bully and a thug.

At least Spud can see why Vern likes 'em.

Be Well.

Note to J. McCain-

Remember to changer your pampers next time. Oh, and by the way they are leaking. Should have sprung for the good ones.

Aw, come on Keith, you've only been taking care of infants. Pampers are for infants. Depends are for adults.

Now that you've disclosed the superficiality of your knowledge base, and outed yourself as an age-ist, what's next?

What kind of -isms and -ists are acceptable and which ones are deplorable. If you support Obama, I suppose that you're not a white racist, and ... Wait, are you supporting Obama because of racial identity? Are you a black racist as well as an age-ist?

Johnson-Sorry but McCain is so child like in some of his actions that I lost myself. Now really, would a normal man of 72 years make a loon job like the Palin Creature his running mate. He needs to have the nurses at the 'Home" dress him for outings?

I think McCain should go back to Azizona and retire
its obvious he could never be our president he's so confused.

Unfortunately, I have to agree that one-party rule is the worst possible scenario for the USA, regardless which party it is.

What kind of -isms and -ists are acceptable and which ones are deplorable

~TJ

McCain's age is an acceptable topic.

Obama's race as a topic is deplorable.

Clear?

If not Spud'll 'splain...

There is a minimum age requirement to be POTUS.

You must be this tall (ie 35 yo) in order to even get on the ride.

Ever since Reagan's brain failed in his second term the idea that their should be a maximum age has been floated around.

Actually, the argument goes back even further than that.

No one should ever sit in this office over 70 years old, and that I know.

~Dwight D Eisenhower

In terms of the BS charge of black racism (that you keep trying to make stick to Obama with absolutely no real success) Barack himself has a theory.

He knows that there are some people out there who will vote against him based purely on skin color (not naming any names, Johnson) and that there are others who will vote for him based primarily on skin color. He considers the two factors a wash.

Unfortunately, I have to agree that one-party rule is the worst possible scenario for the USA, regardless which party it is.

~Bellaspapa

Ordinarily Spud would concur with such an even handed idea but in point of fact the checks and balances of the three branches have been so misaligned under BushCo's rule and the GOP itself has proven to be such an obstructionist body that in the case of this election Spud argues that Obama practically neeeds that 60 seat Senate in order to make the changes neccessary to roll back the excesses of the Bush rogue regime without being filibustered to death.

The WH is his.

The Dem controlled Congress will remain and even pick up a coupla seats.

But the 50/50 tie in the Senate needs to go Dem or nothing useful is getting done.

Obama's got a heckuva mess to clean up and if you tie his hands from the start you are just giving him a ready made excuse not to do stuff.

Do Not Want.

Be Well.

"McCain warns against dem takeover" This is scary!

The libs almost ruined this country in the 60s. Than they elected Carter. (What a disaster that was) Kennedy and Johnson got us in Vietnam war (Which the "Yellow backed liberal congress LOST)

Those people that were not students of Berkeley will know this.

NOW THEY WANT TO ELECT FLOP EARS. THEY WILL HAVE ALL THREE SECTIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT. PACT THE COURTS WITH LIBERAL ASSHOLES. THEY WILL DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.

As long as it pisses you off, I'm OK with that.

"got us in Vietnam"

The first American casualty in Vietnam was in 1954.

Ah yes, Carter, when the national debt/GDP was at a minimum.

zfacts.com

I paid cash for a waterfront house with a dock on Lake Travis in 1977.

"THEY WILL DESTROY THIS COUNTRY."

You mean, what is left of it after Bush to destroy.
Not much.

"But a disaster like that gave us Reagan, the greatest president since Teddy Roosevelt."

TR would slap your face for putting him into the same sentence as Ronnie Raygun who left the nation 3 trillion in debt. Roosevelt was known at the trust buster, Raygun refused to enforce the Sherman Anti-trust Act and we have him to thank for banks, oil companies etc. which are now "too big to fail."

DANNI: YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT "RONNIE RATGUN WON THE COLD WAR! WHICH YOU YELLOW BACK LIBERAL DIRT BAGS WERE AFRAID TO CONFRONT THE COMMUNISTS.

Like I said, no signs of intelligent life.

ZATOICHI: You forgot to mention, naturaly, that the casualty reduced our commentment from 150 to 149. How many did we lose during the Kennedy and Johnson administration, smart ass?

DOC SARVIS: "No signs of life" I'm putting that down as #6 respose when you libs have no intelligent respose.
