With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say. One McCain aide said she's "going rogue."

Clearly, her keen instincts and political savvy are superior to that of her handlers.

Gettin all mavericky on the maverick...you betcha, wink.

McCain and Palin just became aware of the "OCTOBER SURPRISE"

Run for the hills, libs.

Yes, she is rat enough to know that sinking ships must be abandoned, woohoo, good for her.

Will it help anything for her? I doubt it. She was half the reason his campaign tanked in the first place, and no matter how you cut the mustard, she's obviously oblivious to reality, American principles, and sadly, the role of the vice president.

2012? Heh. doubt it. I think we're seeing the last Republican president for a looong time, if not ever.

Good for her, I did not feel she was "handled" well from the begining.

This is the same thing McCain would do if he was in a similar position. "Maverick" is synonymous with the term "Asshole". Just a self centered fucktard who will break any rules, obligations or loyalty to get what they want in life. To think over 405 of Americans will actually vote for these clowns

Run for the hills, libs.

Palin's going rouge? She's getting more and more like Cheney everyday.

A Palin associate defended her, saying that she is "not good at process questions" and that her comments on Michigan and the robocalls were answers to process questions.

What is a process question? Do we really want our next VP and potential president to be someone who is unable to answer them?

But two sources, one Palin associate and one McCain adviser, defended the decision to keep her press interaction limited after she was picked, both saying flatly that she was not ready and that the missteps could have been a lot worse.

They insisted that she needed time to be briefed on national and international issues and on McCain's record.

Palin may not have blinked when McCain asked her to be VP, but the McCain campaign obviously had enough sense to.

With the presidential race in its final days and polls suggesting that McCain's chances of pulling out a win are growing slim, Palin may be looking after her own future.

Lots of folks think Palin will be the GOP nominee in 2012 if McCain doesn't win this time. Based on her performance so far, I have my doubts that she would survive the primary process.

This is the same thing McCain would do if he was in a similar position. "Maverick" is synonymous with the term "Asshole".

Maverick is synonymous with going rouge, so maybe Palin is a maverick afterall.

And the righttards still think Mccadaver is capable of running the country.

A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.

"Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

Palin/Dobson 2012-vote for us or be burned at the stake.

Palin's going rouge?

~Gal Tuesday.

Naw, that's just her make-up.

/Sorry, Spud canna resist them set ups.
//Didn't mean to make you "blush"
///Ha! There Spud goes again. It's a sickness!

Lots of folks think Palin will be the GOP nominee in 2012 if McCain doesn't win this time.

Even if a million people do a foolish thing it is still a foolish thing.

Based on her performance so far, I have my doubts that she would survive the primary process.

"Performance" being the operative word there.

She's not really a folksy hockey mom but she does play one on TV.

Not particularily well or anything, just saying.

Actually, she prolly won't even make the primary process. The right tend to be very socially Darwinian about their choices. The stink of this failure will haunt Fundy Ferraro fer a long time to come. Spud is actually hoping this election will signal the begining of the end of fundamentalist thought predominating the GOP agenda and future tickets. Sure they helped put Bush over the top twice but their flawed logic put a deeply flawed candidate in charge and the results were unequivically devastating.

BushCo 2000 to 2008 was a rogue regime. This election is about regime change. Trying to use someone who isn't afraid of diplomacy and thinking instead of the war mongering party with it's incurious chimp who has FAILed so badly.

Sarah Palin is basically Dumbya in a dress, with a li'l rouge on.

Do Not Want.

Be Well.

"Palin's going rouge?'

Moulin or Baton?

Keep goin' sarah and John-Obama's RCP average lead is 8 points, the largest its ever been.

Maybe your theme song should be "burnin' down the house"?

True, but they were never gonna vote Dem anyway.

The loose cannon from Wassilla scares the hell outta the Hillarites and independents so she has officially failed in her primary raison d'etre. This becomes more and more obvious as all the poll data comes out trending towards "the more folks get to know her the less they find to like about her".

Solidifying the rethug base was only one of the cynical reasons she was put on the ticket.

It aint enuff.

The GOP and right wing radio propaganda against John McCain over the last few years has come back to bite them all in the ass. Despite becoming a loyal BushCo apparatchuk and selling his soul to gain the nomination he has been so reviled by Rush Limpo and the like fer so long now that the simpletons who comprise much of the GOPher base are simply not excited about his candidacy this time around, even with the addition of Palin. Hence, we are seeing all these fevered and foolish attacks against Obama desperately trying to bring out the base through classic RT fear-mongering.

Doesn't seem to be working.

Many of the fundies will stay home on election day.

Obama will gain a liberal supermajority and also the political capital required to start making some neccessary changes.

Thanx Sarah!

G08ama!

Be Well.

Or it could be that the Repubs have decided that it's time to through Sarah under the bus, as a scapegoat for their failure. Not that she shouldn't be roadkill, but time will tell.

Turn her lose. Let her be the Ms. George Patton of the presidential campaign. She will show how to get to the liberal mooses, skin them, and make them into boiling moose fricassee. Patton did not get to win the important battles of WW-II by listening to some of his idiotic superiors. If he had followed their instructions, we would have lost the war. Gov. Palin did not get to be mayor and governor in Alaska by following intructions from a Washington D.C., Ways and Means Committee.

Turn her lose.

Yeah, turn her lose. Let the world see the real Sarah Palin, since she now seems to be claiming that none of the versions we've done so far have done her justice.

Palin believes she is and has been an instrument used by her God. If she loses this election or should I say when she loses McCain will resign himself to a chair on the back porch. Palin however will probably not be able to come to grips with the reality her God let her down and no doubt the probable realization that she alone has duped herself into believing fairy tales.

"Lots of folks think Palin will be the GOP nominee in 2012 if McCain doesn't win this time. Based on her performance so far, I have my doubts that she would survive the primary process."

I think Dan Quayle tried for the brass ring after his term. Repubs didn't flock to HIM either. herm

Turn her lose. Let her be the Ms. George Patton of the presidential campaign.

"Well, I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing I ever heard come over a set of earphones."

How The Hell Does That Dumb Bunny Equate To Patton ? She Is Fucking Dumber Than A Box Of Rocks !

-Sarge

by listening to some of his idiotic superiors.

At least MrRetardation's got a good understanding of Mcacadaver.

"Patton did not get to win any of the important battles of WWII by listening to his idiotic superiors...."

Those would have been Bradley and Eisenhower. If Patton hadn't subordinated himself he would have been obliged to eat crow like any other would-be prima donna did, such as Montgomery.

The Realist Right. Got to love them.

I think you would be much better comparing Palin with Custer. Now THAT was a leader who deliberately attempted to ignore chain of command in an attempt to fulfill his inordinately developed sense of personal destiny.

Nowadays, most historicans just see the man as being a bit crazy.

This is a total bullshit story. Palin's "going rouge?"

Really? Who's paying for her flights, food, lodging, etc?

What's that?
The RNC and McSame campaign?

So if they cut off the funds she's not "going" anything.

This is just the Rethug way of letting her go even more dirty and negative while they stand back and say 'Well, she went rouge" please.

don't be surprised if an N-Bomb somehow rears it's head.

Palin's "going rouge?"

Yep, she's a commie.

Palin, during her speech on IDEA (special needs for children), ranted on the waste of time studying fruit flies, PZ Meyers wrote the following

I am appalled.
This idiot woman, this blind, shortsighted ignoramus, this pretentious clod, mocks basic research and the international research community. You damn well better believe that there is research going on in animal models what does she expect, that scientists should mutagenize human mothers and chop up baby brains for this work? and countries like France and Germany and England and Canada and China and India and others are all respected participants in these efforts.

Yes, scientists work on fruit flies. Some of the most powerful tools in genetics and molecular biology are available in fruit flies, and these are animals that are particularly amenable to experimentation. Molecular genetics has revealed that humans share key molecules, the basic developmental toolkit, with all other animals, thanks to our shared evolutionary heritage (something else the wackaloon from Wasilla denies), and that we can use these other organisms to probe the fundamental mechanisms that underlie core processes in the formation of the nervous system precisely the phenomena Palin claims are so important.

This is where the Republican party has ended up: supporting an ignorant buffoon who believes in the End Times and speaking in tongues while deriding some of the best and most successful strategies for scientific research. In this next election, we've got to choose between the 21st century rationalism and Dark Age inanity. It ought to be an easy choice.

it is not wise to vote for this idiot woman!

"I am appalled.
This idiot woman, this blind, shortsighted ignoramus, this pretentious clod, mocks basic research and the international research community. "

Sounds like the perfect Republican nominee for 2012!

p.s. You have a link to that statement?

"p.s. You have a link to that statement?"

Thanks, Onna. I think that link deserves a thread of its own.

Sounds like a true Mcadaver Republican to me:

NCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Gov. Sarah Palin's signature accomplishment - a contract to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48 - emerged from a flawed bidding process that narrowed the field to a company with ties to her administration, an Associated Press investigation shows.

Despite Palin's boast of a smart and fair bidding process, the AP found that her team crafted terms that favored only a few independent pipeline companies and ultimately benefited the winner, TransCanada Corp.

Palin. Gotta love her.
Six colleges in 6 years, a degree in sports journalism, the intellectual calibre of a potted palm, a very shaky record for being a loose cannon in Wasilla and the governor's chair, and NOW she's smarter than the GOP and McCain.

What an arrogant nitwit. The classic "unconscious incompetent."

Everyday Palin looks worse and McSame's judgement falls further into question.

The twine holding the McCain campaign together are unwinding by the day. One has to wonder at the wisdom or lack of same that caused McCain to choose the Palin Creature as his running mate.

Why in te name of politics would anyone have picked an obscure, brain dead female cat. This alone should cause a major shift away from her. Those dedicated to the GOP will see the danger of such a loose canon one heart beat away from the top spot. In the event of her ascension to the high office, I see a palace revolt and all efforts made to remove her from office. The country has at this time enough problems without such a poor selection to leadership.

There is one positive factor at least for some, Obama never had such an allie.

This election may be over for McCain but the neo-cons don't give up this easy. I wonder what 8-ball they're going to throw out there in 2012?

"the intellectual calibre of a potted palm... and NOW she's smarter than the GOP and McCain."

This is a common among Repubbers, neo-cons, rednecks and run-of-the-mill uglies. People who know jack shit act like they know more than people who've had TWICE their education. People whose intellectual jock straps these yahoos couldn't carry are put down as pointy headed eggheads. herm

Funny thing is, if McCain had done only a couple things different, this might have been a tough choice for me. Were he to run like he did in 2000, have never gone sucking up to right-wing religious exremists that he once denounced, I would have still respected him. Had he had the balls to take a pro-choice VP, or gone a step further and picked up a democrat, I would have figured actions do speak louder than words, and we can trust this guy to go a different direction than Dumbya. I probably would have voted for him as having the experience to fix the screw-ups of the last 8 years. He was, after all, the republican candidate I wanted to win in the primaries back then, not the retarded one.

However, in his desparation to win, McCain seems to show the scars he must have taken from the neo-cons and Karl Rove's tactics to get Bush in office, and thinking he had to adapt them for himself or lose, he adopted them. Then, he took a VP that he probably thought was a political stunner and gambled on her haveing already been properly vetted by the Alaskan race for governor, not realising just how provincial that state really is. Were it not for that, I might have still thought Obama will have his turn, he just needs to be in a bit longer, and earn it.

Unfortunately for McCain, and i think a lot of people share my view, gambling on the person who could take the job 10 minutes after being sworn in (our shortest termed president lasted a mere 30 days) should he suddenly have some sort of accident or emergency, rather than putting careful thought into it, is not a politically astute move, no matter how attention grabbing. Furthermore, when that gamble not only fails, but puts the most ignorant, anti-science religious zealot, a cultural conservative who attacks Obama as a socialist and a marxist but who runs the highest tax-and-spend state in the union, a provincial, folksy-talking virtually uneducated moron a hearbeat away from running the whole of the US, I couldn't vote for him even if Obama happened to be Karl Marx himself.

I think it's too bad for poor McCain. It's sad to see someone sell their soul and get ripped off.

I guess you didn't get the memo on McCain being told that Lieberman & Mitt weren't available this time around...

Boy, I kid you not, fruit fly research in paris france.

Did palin get a high school deploma? Did palin take high school biology?

And to think these republicans can't understand why the IQ of low 80's is a problem.

I guess we don't need our children going to college for high technical science jobs for our future, sarah is running for VP with high school gpa of 2.2, low C average.

Yahoo!!!!

Maybe Sarah should try going "commando". Might get a few more votes!

Always great fun to see the ever-popular "self-retorting retort"!!

Well, they do deserve each other...Geezer

And the beat goes on ...

Palin's off-script comments irk McCain aides

(CNN) -- Some aides to Sen. John McCain say they weren't happy that running mate Sarah Palin went off script Sunday and turned attention back to the controversy over her wardrobe.
