"because of the double standard on all things elitiest media and left wingers do"

C'mon there, BL2. The national talk radio circuit is mostly dominated (at least during the day when most folk are up and about) by rather extreme(ist) and mostly definitely elistist conservative voices: Bennett, Hannity, Limbaugh, Medved, and to a slightly lesser degree, Beck. Then there are a couple who are waaaaaay out there like Savage and Star. This is the meat and potatoes radio for most.
The cable news TV networks are also dominated by extremely right-leaning "news" shows, specifically Fox (though the coverage is incredible. Though I have discovered that anymore it is difficult to find a cable news network that actually presents the news at any length and is more focused on providing never-ending commentary.
I have always found it most interesting:
1. That there is this liberal media, when in fact the media (newspapers, radio, and TV) is by and large owned by conservatives (who consequently have the first and last say on anything being presented). The Big 3 news are kinda mushy, but slapping the liberal label on them is a bit of a stretch.
2. That the term liberal has been purposely mutated into a derogatory term for those who do not toe the conservative line. Fascinating that the Founding Fathers were considered "liberals" in their time. That also the term liberal is part of the word subfamily that includes liberty, liberation, and strangely enough, libertarian.
3. That all Democrats are slapped with the "derogatory" term liberal. Are all Republicans "neo-cons"?
And finally, 4., that those who are more in line with what the forgers of the Constitution and the BoR intended, who strive to be more faithful with those tenets written over 200 years ago, are either forced to act from within the "enemy" camp, wearing the clothing of one of the parties, such as Ron Paul (R), or Dennis Kucinich (D), or are relegated to the political fringe, such as Bob Barr (L). They are mostly ignored and discounted.
